Rockaburger in Birmingham

I went to eat out last night here, at 2:08 I ordered the famous pulled lamb burger meal £12.50. I was really hungry, I hadn't eaten all day, and thought this spot would cheer me up with some good food. I took 1 bite of it and found a chunk of bone in the 1st bite, that pierced the top of my mouth. It was so bad I couldn't contuine to eat. And I'm fuming because my mouth is still sore with a puncture wound in my mouth. It's still hurting and sore now. And I still haven't eaten because of it. Literally only been drinking water and milk.

Food was fresh and hot off da grill. Shoutout to Prem for the excellent service🙏🏾

Burger was good even though it was sliding out most of the time 😅, I believe £10 for a burger is slightly overpriced. Nice and tasty other wise.

Avoid at all cost. Hygiene is -5 , but thats not the worst part. Food is terrible !!! Dont waste your time , better grab a cold sandwich from the gas station 🤮🤢

First time tried their chicken and rice, it's just white plain rice with chicken bits on top, completely tasteless

• STAFF: polite and helpful. • MENU: overpriced, and stuff not mentioned. Milkshake in meal is £4 not £6. Fizzy drinks and water, £1.75, not on menu. • BURGERS: Pulled Lamb, BBQ, Cheese were tasty, soft onions, juicy meat but processed cheese despite £8-10 each. • TRAY: At £20, All Star had overcooked grilled chicken, mac and cheetos were yellow, see above for fries. • FRIES: Regular were rock hard but Cheesy fries had cheap supermarket processed cheese on top. Expected better for price. • VIBE: Tree makes no sense in diner and is a hazard. Noise pollution from racing cars was deafening. • OTHER: Wheelchair accessible. Street parking is difficult. No kids menu.

Paid £20 and didn’t get my extra lamb or chicken, the burger was squashed and the fries were cold, not worth the money and really disappointed!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I would highly recommend Rockaburger 👌 Probably one of the best places to eat out in in Birmingham. The pulled lamb is to die for and the King Prawn dish with rice is simply the best.

Awful service from staff and not a great experience at all

It's the same owner from choquitos mosquitos in alum rock Pelham lol! There burgers taste the same as before , the only thing the owner has changed is that he moved away from alum rock rd and landed on a jumbo jet on lady pool rd lol The burgers are bland uncooked from middle and dry! There other food you can simply cook at home with using your own initiative lol! Plus the owner is desperate to sell his food and get custom ,as he advertises his brand of food on social media on lady pool rd! Simply hand out leaflets lol

Came solely for Mac and cheese for my two kids and had the beef bowl and chicken and rice. All was delicious and was served by Sonia who was really helpful and patient whilst I kept returning to the table to check the flavours. Really nice food and different taste to usual burgers etc. Defo worth a visit - decent prices and would defo revisit - well done!

Everytime I come here I'm greeted with a smile , the food is on point and great customer service. Ordered Two Trap boxes The seafood and the goat was delicious & the guy even changed the fried oreos for onion rings top guy.

Came all the way from Scotland to try this tiktok sensation place to be welcomed with the most amazing staff, esp Ace who made us feel very welcome, got the seafood box and it was amazing, 10/10 recommend, will be visiting again x

Overhyped and overpriced. Food was okay but not worth the hype. Also don’t get me started on the big man with sunglasses who stands outside stopping traffic so he can get people to try the food. Appalling behaviour. Doesn’t set a good image on the business.

I ordered halloumi with rice, halloumi burnt and dry? Where is rice? You need to slice halloumi into decent size, so after cook stay juicy, salad taste like stale, overall not professional!

Chicken rice box is a deffo go to💯

The takeaway I ordered from was a huge disappointment. The food arrived late and was cold, lacking the flavors and freshness I expected. Portions were small for the price, and the customer service was unhelpful when I complained. I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Great service here. Came in, ordered 2 of the chicken burgers and the Rockaburger signature fries to take out. The food was ready within 10 minutes and was to a high standard. The chicken in the burger was very succulent and tender, the buns were also very soft and nice. The only downside was the fries were slightly on the colder side and the signature sauce wasn’t evenly spread. However, overall really nice food and staff provide great service!

I ordered a milkshake and fried Oreo’s, but the employee didn’t wash the blender correctly and it tasted of hazel nut anyone who has allergies be mindful. This could have been fatal; I don’t usually leave reviews but this could have generally killed me if it was peanut instead of hazel nut.

The bao buns i had the pulled chicken, they were worst , the buns were hard from the bottom literally they were crunchy as a toast . Poor experience for one of my favourite. The cheese chilli bites were hollow from between it felt like it was just coating i was eating . Disappointed…..

I visited here for the first time after seeing some good reviews from foodies. I tried the trap box. It was an actual trap!!!!! £20 for just a big portion of fries with some sauce on. 2-3 chicken tenders and a spoon full of boiled macaroni . I did take my kids for eid. We bought food from various restaurants and sat down and eat in project bun. Rock a burger was the most expensive, and tasteless food . Never again!!!

I had the seafood trapbox! It was really nice, salmon was slightly tough. However everything else was top! Service wasn't great. Staff were not very responsive and were huddled together chatting amongst themselves.

Absolutely amazing food and service.

Very tasty and filling breakfast. The taste of the sausages were very very nice a slight chilli kick in the spicy beef sausages. Great fresh runny eggs perfectly pared with the toast beans fish fingers and turkey rashers and fried tomato. It was a well balanced breakfast with harmonious flavours. Rockaburger did an excellent job with adding some fresh herbs to give it the pizazz add a depth of flavour and nice contrast in colour to the dish small details like this make a huge difference to the experience. Over all a heartey 8.6 out of 10. I would definitely recommend this place as food tasted great. Presentation was on point and effort was taken when prepared. Lovely place with a fantastic Owner great personality and a genuinely humble guy. Hope to meet you again soon Inshallah.

OMG I ordered chicken rice box and 2 lamb rice box onion rings and chicken tender strips never tasted anything like this 10/10 will be ordering again …. Amazing

What an experience amazing food was delish... definitely recommend.

The front house staff that worked on 12th May 2024 late night was the most rudest individual I came across. I believe this establishment is really good but hiring people from back home and doesn’t know how to communicate or understands is shocking. Never again Update: this business states that I arrived an hour late when I have proof. Uber eats will automatically cancel the delivery if there’s no response from the rider. Making TikTok videos about your burgers isn’t going to boom your business if you can’t sort out the core of the problem. Learn how to run a business and take feedbacks as a way to improve instead of throwing shades. Unprofessional response from the owner. No wonder you have a rating of 3.7 stars. I recommend everyone to try other food spots in Ladypool instead of this establishment

I visited here for the first time after seeing some good reviews from foodies on Instagram. I tried the pulled lamb burger and the loaded fries. Both were very disappointing, and very bland. The pulled lamb tasted really watered down, and it was the same with the pulled chicken in the loaded fries. They were both literally the worst burger and loaded fries ive ever had. I thought the burger was also very expensive at £10 and small in size. Overall I felt this place was overhyped and I wouldn't come here again. Also the music playing was extremely rude and brash, felt embarrassed sitting in there.

I had the pull lamb burger and there was a bone in my bite , i thought it was a one off until i came across another bone in my bite. couldnt eat the burger after that because i just felt sick.

Came here for the first time, gentlemen behind the counter were very friendly. Food is priced very well considering it tasted so good. They were busy but food was still served in good time, would defiantly recommend.

I was not very happy as the order was mixed up and charged for wrong prices and didn't have the courtesy to change the incorrect order . Very slow service. Very loud prayers were played without allowing customers to enjoy the food. The quality of the food, quality was appalling dogs food is better. I'm really sad that I have to give them a negative review

Went here for iftar, absolutely loved it! From the quick, friendly service to the tasty food. My family and I appreciated the free fruit platter, dates and water bottles. Food was great, flavourful and came out so quick! Throughly enjoyed will definitely be back :)

Rocker burger? More like off their rocker!!!! I asked if I could use to the toilet and after some back and forth because I was a customer I ordered the deep fried Oreo’s and went to the toilets. I hear a knock on the door and the guy that served me asked if he could come in because “he didn’t believe I was using the toilet and wanted to check?” What the hell is wrong with these lot. And the deep fried Oreo’s looked like mashed dog food with abit of batter. Will never go back there again.

Lovely place to dine in with the family, something for everyone. The food was amazing, so much flavor and the service was fantastic. They gave us free water, dates and fruit for iftar which we were not expecting, very thoughtful thank you guys. I will definitely recommend it and try again when in Birmingham.👌🏾

I came here yesterday with a friend. It was my first time but my mate has been here before. The lady we spoke to was absolutely rude my mate asked if we can swap something on one of the meals and she was like no. My mate said she always swaps and the workers are fine about it she then said “I have had words with them they shouldn’t be doing that”. She then said she was the manager and it is really busy and she has 30 orders in the back and cannot swap today. I looked at my mate and said let’s go elsewhere. With that attitude as a MANAGER I rather not eat here. I was so baffled the way she was talking. I said which place does not swap what’s in a combo box for something else? She was like we are really busy and I haven’t got time for that. It was Ramadan and I just couldn’t be bothered with arguing with a woman with that disgusting attitude. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Manager? She doesn’t even know how to talk to customers!

The pulled lamb melts in the mouth.Had some in a burger as well as some in a TrapBox.Shrimps were super delicious as were cocktails.The owner Adam was present and was the perfect host- very engaging and helpful.

Gave us wrong order first, then food came but we had to remind them for our drinks, and last but least the food was average. Trap box is expensive for what it is and the fried oreo was buried under the rest of the food so was just soggy.

No lie, iv been to many restaurants burger places, But have to say the food here at Rocka Burger is mouth watering, the Unique flavouring to the presentation, the ‘TRAP BOX’ uhhft🥰🥰🥰😋 something else, the Pulled lamb on the spicy rice along with the flavoured chops the tenderness was on point, (i like soft tender meat well cooked) loaded fries we had two different lamb one was Hannibal fries and second loaded fries, i wont say too much but have to say this is my and my families fav place, kids meals are great size for the kids. Enjoy guys and make sure u pop in give it a try. Friendly staff thank you.

Came here with a few friends, and tried to order the all stars box. To begin they said they no longer serve mac and cheese ‘because it takes too long to make’. Following this I decided to order half a chicken instead to which the service woman said ‘we don’t have chicken in’. Ultimately, I ordered nothing but my friends who ordered said the food was bland and underwhelming. The final addition, was upon payment my friend paid with his Amex to which the woman asked after the payment had gone through for the rest of the party not to pay with Amex as it charges them higher fees. Absolute shambolic, would not recommend going here.

Terrible customer service, my little baby needed an toilet and i went in and an lady approached me in an rude manner, stating you can’t go toilet for free, you either have to pay for something to eat, or either pay donation. I don’t think that’s right at all for someone even to behave like that my baby was desperate. I got charged £2.00. Honestly disgusting behavior and rude staff especially the lady on the till. Will never be going there again!!

Today I went in with family as my daughter needed a toilet and I was charged for my daughter using the toilet, when I asked about this, the lady that was working on the till was very rude and was adamant that it was there policy, “she said everyone round here charges to go use the toilet” this was the first time I heard this as I live in the area and I know that nobody charges to use the toilet, it was a 5 year old child that had to use it, she was so rude, she started shouting and pulling faces, I will not be visiting here and again and don’t recommend anyone coming here, appealing service, no reason why it’s always quiet the customer service speaks for itself!!!!

I don't usually leave a review unless I'm free but after visiting this shop had to make my self free for this review. Honestly everything was spot on, loved the pulled lamp burger which was something different from the usual burgers, the loaded fries with shredded chicken and the sauces and chesse was amazing, the wife had the rice with spicy chicken & the signature loaded fries with cheetos so I had to try it and was perfect... all in all can't fault it even if I tried!!! Plus the complementary karak chai, the cherry on the icing.

Been to this place a few times now, food is ok, nothing special.. service has always been abysmal, went last Saturday, the guy on the till, wearing gloves and was touching money, then the monitor and to top it off handling food, don't know where they get the staff from, they are always grumpy! Basic hygiene procedures should be followed at all times, regardless of anything. Would advise people to try!

I just ordered the sea food trap box. It came with battered prawns, salmon with a nice glazed sauce on top, spicy rice , crazy fries which were covered in a tasty sauce also and finally 3 fried Oreo’s. It was absolutely delicious I really liked everything, the rice was slightly spicey but i love spice. I’ve had to save some for later because I’m so full up.

Really sad to be leaving this review. After seeing the hype and views online I had really high hopes for this to be a sound choice. Sadly it was a big let down. Ordered a peri chicken burger meal and smash burger meal. The peri burger meal was £10 with a drink - which is higher than average. The portion size wasn't great, the chicken patty was over done/dry and small. Fries weren't cooked right either. Overall not a good experience. Would really recommend the owners to fine tune the basics if they want to beat the competition.

Very disappointing. I bought a pulled lamb burger and a peri peri burger. Both thr burgers were small and based on what the lamb burger was being advertised as, both those burgers combined would've still not been the right size. The pulled lamb burger was smaller than the peri peri. The burger in the picture is the pulled lamb. Considering it was £10, I was scammed. It was nice but not worth £10. The peri peri burger lacked taste and had bones in it which is quite dangerous. The fries were hard. The service was good but I ended up waiting for too long, about 40 mins for 2 burger meals. The atmosphere was awful. You have loud banging music playing, absolutely awful especially as a Muslim I do not want to be hearing it banging into my head. You cannot have a conversation All in all, I would not recommend. The food is overpriced and the music being played is too loud

Nice and good service just make sure you ask for your pulled lamb box with no sauce to test the lamb properly. I tried the pulled lamb it was nice and I have said you put to much sauce on, and the staff offered to change it for me free of charge that is good customer service. I would definitely come back. Hope you keep this level of service. I put 4 stars because I had to go back few times to the till to sort out my order the only thing I would ask to improve is the communication between till staff and kitchen staff so the orders don't get messed up.

Food was really good on every occasion, been there a few times now, pulled lamb is the business! And i also love the burgers, pleasant enviroment, friendly well mannered staff, love the decor too, I will be back there again for sure.

I didnt think it was going to be as good as it looked on the videos but i was wrong. The food was at the right temp all tasted fresh. The menu was perfect for me as i like to normally share so i get a taste of a couple of dishes but with the trapbox i wasnt sharing anything. As the customer service goes i liked the way the staff kept a good attitude as i am picky with how i like my food. I will be back. Keep up the good work. I have to say rockaburger is quality.
