Jade Garden in Birmingham

Just picked up a takeaway & the chips are disgusting, looks like they where cooked earlier today very poor & not cheap, will get them from the chippy in future. Not the fist time they've been rubbish.

Haven't been to this Chinese for long time but will definitely be going back the food was amazing

i ordered vegetarian spring rolls and they gave me pork spring rolls. not the best chinese i’ve ever had.

Singapore fried rice tasted like uncle bens packet rice not flavour whatsoever. Chow mein was the blandest thing I’ve ever tasted. Salt and chilli chicken tasted precooked and had a strange white chunky substance inside with an awful smell to it. Very disappointed. Won’t be returning. Pretty much all of it went in the bin.

I have been using Jade Garden Chinese Takeway on Bakers Lane in Streetly for a long time and i must say it is by far the best for chinese takeaway in the area. The shop is always clean and well lit and the staff friendly and professional. The food is always prepared to an excellent standard and is still hot. when you get home.The staff and chef will always try to accommodate any special requests to the wide selection already on Greathe menu...

My special chow me in was bland

Worst chicken chow mein eaten ever. Cold ingredients mixed with hot. Chicken, raw onions, raw cold noodles not cooked properly. Can tell they rushed to push the food out. Will defiantly not visit again

Usual happy takeout from here - not sure what went wrong this evening - Cantonese sweet and sour chicken so tough ending up throwing away

I ordered King prawns fried rice on Saturday evening they tasted awful and I chucked them in the bin. I still have a upset stomach 48 hours later I will NEVER use this takeaway again.

We've been using Jade Garden for a few years. We have tried most local alternatives but they're the tastiest, even compared to considerably more expensive local restaurants. Salt and chilli chips are especially great.

Delicious food always piping hot and good sized potions. Staff are very friendly. Highly reccomend.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area! We used to use the Ruby over the road but jade Garden is much tastier 👌🏽

One piece of sweet and sour chicken tasted like pork. Im not impressed as i dont eat pork.

We have been using this Chinese for the past 2 years and its the best one we have ever used (must be good because my husband is very picky) Never any problems with the food, very tasty and the staff are always really friendly

Actually couldn't eat it ..for what I ordered was done too fast definitely microwaved pre prepared meals ..not happy at all utter waste of money

Order a takeaway 2 weeks ago and I have to say it wasn't good. The chicken had really bad taste. I think it's made out of frozen chicken. Didn't taste fresh

Fabulous meal, first try of a new take away. Food was great, quality of ingredients was very high and the won ton soup was actually soup! Not like the cabbage water from other places. Highly recommend. Thanks

top food, top blokes, all round winner for Chinese food in Streetly

Every dish is sooo good. Meat is always soft and tender, prawns always full and juicy and sauces to die for. It is our favourite in Sutton Coldfield by a mile. Don't pay any attention to the review saying the curry tasted of sick!! Theirs is the best around and we use them every couple of weeks or so and never had an issue

Just got back home from picking up the order. Portions were in small cartons, we used to love the garlic and chilli battered chicken. Not anymore it was bland tasteless. The other dishes ordered r was a sloppy chow mein without flavour a cold curry sauce also devoid of taste . In fact evething was just plain and below average. It was expensive too at£36. Gone down hill and certainly wouldn't recommend this place

ordered food friday arrived on time hot we had a family dinner for 5 we had so much food we have saved some for saturday lunch.can't fault this take away have used this take away for sometime and always had good food and service recommended to friends in the area.

Very very very rude!!! I just asked a question over the phone and this guy answered very rudely because they don't deliver to my area and hung up..i called back to ask why he hung up, he didn't even apologise and started asking me silly questions..in my opinion, this has just put me off ordering from them..just because of the way he spoke to me, i will never order from here again!!

Worst Singapore chow mien I have had for a while cold half cooked noodles really hot chilli taste with no actual flavour and no real content disgusting will not go back

The best Chinese food by a country mile. We had almost given up on the other takeaways in the area. Salty rubbish cooked five times over. But this place really know how to cook. Never had a bad one. Very friendly and helpful. THE BEST

Just ordered from here food came dished it all up to my family started eating it and kids said it tasted funny I tried mine the same the curry we had tasted like sick! Misses threw up from it had to throw it all in the bin what a waste of money never again.

Have tried most Chinese takeaways in the area and this Jade Garden (don’t get confused with others of the same name) is by far the best quality. Always reliable and consistently good. Best spare ribs I’ve tasted.

Verry small portion of crispy salt and chilli chicken chips were terrible chicken was verry thin and chewy bb sause was tastles will not be back

It's touch and go really some night it's lovely some nights not as good , kind of feels like change in chef maybe could be the meaning of changeof food It's the only Chinese we order from in the area but do sometimes say that wasn't very good tonight but then other weeks seems really nice - very odd

Prompt delivery. Not used this place for years. Couldn't get through to our usual Hardwok on the phone so gave this a go. Won't bother again. Quality of food a real disappointment. Starters and mains not wonderful.

Always come here and enjoy it, tried others in the area (when this one is closed on a Monday) but never as good as here. I really enjoy the chilli and salt beef.

Really poor quality food not well cooled and with very little flavour. Won't be ordering from here again.

by far one of the nicest tasting Chinese we have eaten. excellent food a true Chinese experience and would recommend to anyone to try them.

We go every Friday food is always very good its our favorite in the area and has a 5 star hygiene rating.

hope I'm submitting correct review for restaurant says 38 a bakers Lane on leaflet but 40 bakers Lane on here. anyway saying jade garden so assuming they may have moved buildings. anyway have been ordering from here for years and never had any issues. foods always been nice and delivery time acceptable. my friend introduced me to this restaurant some years ago and iv never looked back . food always seems nicer here than other Chinese places iv ordered from. I do order from other Chinese places occasionally but jade garden is my favourite out of them all:)

We ordered our food just after 7pm, and we didn't get it until 9.35pm. We also rung them at one point to ask how long it would be, we were told 1 min and 30mins later it still wasn't here so had to ring again. Absolute joke, never had to wait this long when I've ordered a takeaway from anywhere else.The 2nd time we rung We wanted to cancel but she said he was 1min away.

I ordered a takeaway from here ,bank holiday Sunday and notice 4 big black hairs in my chow mien which I was fuming about so I called up jade garden and the women was so rude on the phone , I won't be ordering any food from there in the near future ., disgusting.. 0/10 for me and the women needs to get some propa manners on how to speak to people properly ..

has to be the worst chowmein i have ever eaten, plain noodles covered with chilli powder and the odd elastic like prawns/beef. went straight in the bin. taseless crap

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and each time the service has been excellent. The menu is extensive and the service is very prompt with food arriving no more than 10mins after you have sat down.

Been ordering from jade garden now for years always lovely food on a weekend they have a young girl help out on the phones my order that was delivered came incorrect the meat was duck and should have been pork we had ordered many dishes so when complaining was told chef disagrees and that its correct I advised that it was definitely duck so she said ok I will have another one sent I explained my remainder in the order will be freezing cold and asked for a manager the girl turned around and said your lucky to be getting this you can't get anything out of them and they don't speak English so they can't come on the phone to speak to you ... What a disgrace regular customer now lost

This is right by the Ruby Chinese - and on one occasion when jade garden was closed we tried the Ruby - not a patch in comparison. You don't realise how good your own Chinese takeaway is until you go somewhere else.

Pedí a llevar para entrega y dijeron que tardarían 45 minutos, 55 minutos más tarde, todavía no hemos llegado, cuando llamé para encontrar me dijeron que el conductor había dejado - está a sólo cinco minutos en coche. 25 minutos más tarde mi comida aún no había llegado. sonó el llevar dos veces - ninguna respuesta, nos llamó desde mi teléfono fijo, el teléfono fue respondida inmediatamente. Cuando el conductor que llegué ya le convirtió, ya que yo estaba enfadado con esperar tanto tiempo y había perdido mi apetito. Cuando llamé la tienda a quejarse, tienda de campaña fueron de gran ayuda, la señora colgó el teléfono en mí y cuando llamé y hablé con el conductor de entrega no había ninguna disculpa, nada! Yo no me quejo pero si era un lugar como Nando o McDonald's que habría que cuidar a sus clientes. Así que, me voy a la cama muy hambriento!

We have been using Jade Garden for about 7 - 8 years, and have only been disappointed once, and that was when the regular Chef was on Holiday. The food was still good, but not up to the normal high standards.Overall we have had excellent food and service, whether ordering in the Take Away or phoning for delivery. The delivery is good and the food always arrives within the stated time, and so far we have never had a wrong orderWell worth a try.

I've eaten here for a long time never had a problem food is always amazing. Mini veg spring rolls are great along with many other things. Felt the need to but a comment on here when I saw some really unfair feedback given. The only thing I can moan about is they don't do tofu but that's no big deal. Food quality is amazing

Had this on Friday night at a mates house. Waited a hour for delivery. Started tucking in pretty much straight away. Food tasted ok, as after a bottle of vodka the taste buds weren't really bothered. On Saturday night started to get stomach cramps. By Sunday morning early hours was vomiting evry few hours. It's Monday now and stomach is still hurting and can't digest anything!! Would never eat from this place again!!

Most disgusting take away I've ever had! Prawns in black bean sauce= tasteless! Wandering dragon = tasteless! Egg fried rice = tasteless! Every dish ordered was shockingly bland! Waited an hour for delivery, which I wasn't that bothered about, but sadly, it was a waste of £25 as we had to bin the lot! Please don't waste your money

We stayed in a local hotel, fancied a Chinese takeaway. Whilst we called up and tried to place an order for delivery, they told us that they didn't deliver that far (approx 4 miles away) so we chose to drive to collect our meal. The takeaway is modern, clean and if how busy was anything to go by it must be pretty popular locally! Food was good amd very fresh ingredients it seemed. Would recommend it.

With the abundance of take aways locally the Jade garden is head and shoulders above others, Excellent choice and quality of food, staff always helpfull even offering to adjust meals to suit personal taste, deliver too. Absolutely first class

Had a really nice take away last night from Jade Garden. Walked in and ordered Chicken, rice and noodles. Service was fast.Person at the counter was very friendly and gave helpful advice. Taste was really good, just like a restaurant. There is plenty of off-street car parking. Only thing I find with this place is that the quality of the taste/flavour is up and down. I think it depends who is cooking.
