The waiters preferred chatting at the bar instead of giving us menus and serving us. The food was rather good.

Didn't eat.. I was drawn to the place because of the singer he was awesome and the sound was great.. Service was not the best, one minute was table service next was bar ...

Very average food. Chicken burger was lacking flavour & seasoning and fries / chips were not fully cooked (slightly hard). Service not great either, with my order not going to the kitchen, waited over an hour for my meal to arrive. Overall, very poor experience, not recommended.

I came in here the waiter and waitress walked by a good 10 times. at last got the attention of the male waiter asked is there service I was told it’s really busy you have to order at the bar is that ok it’s not busy at all and someone who works in hospitality I’m disgusted with the service and how dirty the tables were

Roby 1844 - This Al Fresco Canalside Terrace Bar & Eatery has the perfect outdoor setting with an instagrammable flower wall and festoon lighting. Met some friends here for drinks and food. The outdoor seating area is nice and clean and the staff were very accommodating to my fussy food needs. Alright for a quiet night with some nice views.

I keep coming to Roby 1844 because they usually have a table for me and my friends and the service is outstanding, especially Leah who has served me 5 times in the last two months. Amazingly kind and wonderfully attentive ensuring each table is happy. Environment is lovely, good views with the canal and great drink variety and prices. 10/10 do recommend

I went the day after opening and loved the food the chicken burger me and my boyfriend was very crispy and delicious, the portion of chips was a little big but they tasted great! Atmosphere was nice and didn’t have to wait too long for the food so overall great experience 👍🏻

I wish I could give 0 stars! Arrived around 7pm on onea sat night. No one at the entrance welcoming us or even letting us know waiting time (not many people queueing but they didn't seem to care). Not huge amount of tables to serve, especially because most of them were just there for drinks and not food. However, service was so slow! 3 or 4 waiters that were strolling between tables with a very sad face. Never received a smile even when we got a table, waitress came to order straight away without giving us any menu - then suggested a wine (no drink menu apparently) and directed us on the website for the food menu. Came back after 5 min asking us "oh did someone tell you we don't have chicken burgers tonight?" .... She was waiting us, who did she think should have told us??A share platter took about 40 min: only good thing about the whole experience, decent food! We cancelled our orders for the burgers as we were so upset of waiting - at this point it was 2 hours in. Unexplainable bill, too expensive for the service we received, seemed no one cared - very bad and side vibe around. After kindly giving a feedback about , ththe servicegood food but the horrible eservice, the waiter excused himself (always with a very no bothered face) blaming on the slow service, which it was just a small part of the problem. Not sure if they hired random people before to open up 2 weeks ago or what. Definitely not worth a single penny. Never coming back.
