Jilanis Cafe in Manchester

I have to say the customer service, efficiency and food were all excellent. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait and we did not have to wait a single minute extra. The food arrived within 15 mins of us ordering and tasted amazing. The restaurant was really busy yet they were really efficient in making sure things were done on time. Impressive.

Take away vanilla falooda and cornflake pie.The ice cream was fine but was a touch sceptical with the noodles. Nonetheless it was fine.The cornflake pie base was awfull and the cornflakes very soft with hardly any ‘crunch’, either with out without the custard.Very average desserts.

También pedimos un poco de falooda, que no se veía muy apetitoso pero aún así sabía tan bien como siempre.Crítica: El batido de un billón de dólares es básicamente Ferrero Rocher, Nutella y bayas mixtas y no lo recomendaría porque las bayas simplemente lo arruinaron y las pequeñas semillas eran molestas. Cuando entramos tuvimos que esperar bastante tiempo considerando que no estaba tan ocupado y el servicio era bastante lento.Valoración general: 6/10

I went to celebrate with family, waiter came and put down serviettes and knives and forks on our table out comes spider walking across our table. I had to leave immediately. Waiter came over squashed the spider with the serviette.the waiter then ran over to manager or owner to tell them. We just left. Disgusting 0 for hygiene.

Fui a Jilanis con un amigo y los niños. Pedí un poco de pollo tikka, que era insípido y seco como cualquier cosa, el arroz no tenía sabor y la hamburguesa de pollo de mis hijos también era asquerosa. Me fui a casa con hambre y tuve que tomar un té alternativo. El servicio también es lento y no fue satisfactorio. no malgastes tu tiempo o dinero.

This was mainly grilled food and desserts, Enjoyed the chops and tikkas. Found the staff a bit rude. Not really that helpful, They seem a bit loss. Quite a busy place. pricing is good and reasonable. Thanks

Ordered 3 sundaes which tasted revolting. It tasted as though the ice cream was a cheap quality product. They were not presented in a ice cream sundae glass, but a cereal bowl. The entire thing just looked like a dogs dinner. Go 2 doors down to icestone gelato. Far better option.

Came here with a group of friends and the decor was nice and the food and desserts were amazing however the only problem is the service is very slow.

We actually ended up in Jilanis as a bit of a fluke. For 2 people our meal came to £25 and we ordered so much! I don’t eat lamb outside of home as it can be chewy and really tough but the meat was so soft! I was amazed. All the grills were perfectly made and cooked. The grilled chicken burger - it looks simple but the flavours were amazing! Thank you for such fast service and a great meal - will definitely be returning! They also attached an additional table to make room for the extra food!

Went all the way from Sheffield waited for about half an hour for a table for 8 gave me a table for six would never go back no manner was really offended what they did

Possibly the best lamb chop platter I've ever had. Really tasty, excellent value and friendly service! Will be back soon!

Muy sabroso y bien de precio. Visitamos este lugar en un momento tranquilo, pero me imagino un gran ambiente cuando hay mucha gente. Definitivamente regresaremos

La comida fue horrible. Totalmente soso y sin sabor. Las porciones eran rediculusly pequeñas. No estoy seguro de cómo se salen con la suya. El único salvador fue uno de los batidos de leche. La camarera alta era realmente miserable y grosera. Nunca me sentí tan indeseado en ningún restaurante. Fue una pérdida total de dinero. Nunca pisará allí de nuevo.

Jilanis food is delicious and fresh and very reasonable. The service is always great. I do think they need to maybe update the decor as it seems a little tired and dated . But I definitely recommend you visit if you haven’t already .

We nipped down to Jilani’s for a quick cup of tea and some desserts. Although my wife enjoyed her custard and apple pie the strawberry cheese cake was clearly below average.

I had prawn dish with naan. Prawn was so good!! But it wasn’t make me full enough and I ordered rice. It was so small. I ate ice cream which was average. Food amount is not so much but quality was good(except ice cream).

Saludado felizmente con un apretón de manos de la gerencia. Gran acogida. Llevado a la mesa por un asiento y menú dado. Tiempo dado por el camarero y saludado alegremente por ellos. Las raciones son fabulosas y la comida era deliciosa. Tiene comida y también opciones de postres, solo fui por comida. Las instalaciones de lavado y aseo estaban limpias. Pago realizado y se me preguntó si estaba satisfecho. Felizmente diría que sí lo estaba. Visita obligada para la familia para un bocado rápido.

Muy mal servicio, el personal no tiene habilidades de servicio al cliente muy groseras, los asientos son muy pequeños, aparentemente si sus 2 personas no pueden sentarse en el stand, uno de los camareros necesita arreglarlo, parecía estar perdido y estaba dando actitud, cuando llegó nuestra comida, lo que pedimos parecía que quedaba de otros clientes que volvían a colocar de nuevo de todos modos con aceite y grasa en todo el plato sin presentación alguna. ¡El lugar no tiene clase!

Las chuletas de cordero de Jilanis son buenas y probablemente lo mejor de su menú, desafortunadamente, usted tiene que comprarlo como un plato principal en lugar de un entrante. Siempre he comprado chuletas de cordero como entrante, así que pagar dinero extra por cosas que no quieres es un poco injusto, pero en general diría que entre 3 y 4 estrellas

The food was delicious! The starters especially and the desserts were absolutly beautiful. Cant fault the service and the speed.

Really disappointed with the food here. I think they must have changed their chefs as I visited a year ago the food was amazing! The chicken was so chewy and over cooked! There was also very little sauce in the burgers and the chips were totally dry which made it very difficult to eat! Would not recommend and won’t be visiting the cafe again.

Pedí papas fritas con la mía, sin embargo, había una opción para tener papas fritas o arroz. ¡Pedí un batido de ferro rocher para acompañar eso y fue fabuloso! Junto con el pastel de comida 2 salsas y estos eran realmente agradables. La comida en Jilanis es increíble junto con el precio, que es muy barato. Visited Jilani’s after a year. The quality of food has dropped massively. Who puts ketchup in Golgappay and Somosa Chat? Yes Bloody Ketchup. Absolute Joke and disappoitment.

Visitamos jilanis cafe en Manchester hoy, y tengo que decir que no es el mejor lugar para ir. La primera impresión para nosotros fue terrible, especialmente cuando no hay papel higiénico en el baño usted y lo mejor es. . . . . . . Que el baño de las damas y para cambiar pañales está en ese lugar, ideal no? ! ! En segundo lugar, teníamos que ir personalmente y llamar al camarero para pedir asistencia a nuestra comida, que es realmente penoso. Bebidas lo hacen en determinados días chicos especialmente sin alcohol sólo los viernes y sábados por la noche y este no ha sido especificada en el menú. Jugo de naranja fresco no estaba disponible también, así que no me impresionó mucho. Por último, las patatas fritas eran frías y porción u recibir es demasiado pequeña para una persona con un gran apetito, jajaja! ! No contentos con el servicio y no vamos a volver. Y honestamente no recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera de ustedes. Es mejor ir a todos starz en la misma línea.

Recently visited Jilanis. Food was ok. Nothing extravagant. Drinks weren't cold considering the soaring temperatures recently. Seating is poor. Tables are too small especially for the side cusioned areas.

I ordered chicken panini takeaway and wasn't even able to eat it . Panini bread was rock hard Will not go there again

Food portion is very less, you have to order twice to fill up your stomach. The side was missing with the meal. On query, we were told that there was a mistake in the menu, there is no side with this meal.

We love the lamb chops at Jilanis. My favourite place. I travel 45 minutes and have to say it’s worth my while. Other dishes are full of flavour too. Jilanis burger is a must. Attentive staff too.

The service was quick and the prices are really good. Unfortunately the food did not wow me. It tasted mediocre. If I am going to eat out I would rather just spend that little bit more for quality.

Got given a broken high chair which wasn't a very good start. The menu was quite limited but I thought ok it must make up for it in quality. Ordered 2 platters which I think were the smallest I've ever seen! I really should have taken a picture just to prove it. Food wasn't too bad, but I had to order another burger to fill that whole in my stomach (which it didn't). Ordered waffles and pancake for dessert, waffles were nice but pancakes were awful. Average food, ok service if you don't need a high chair but definitely not good value for money.

I ordered a samosa starter - very nice and home made style. (slight inconsistency with the fillings as my friends ordered the same but had extra vegetables, that some were missing, but nonetheless good quality samosa)

This place is one of the most busy on curry mile but their food standard is down now. May be chef has been changed or something else. Last visit was not very pleasant as they did not cooked lamb chops properly and taste is also different. Kebab were over cooked and refused to change.

This place isn’t fancy but is the perfect place to go to for a causal lunch with friends or to grab quick desserts. The lamb shish is cooked well and tastes really good. The chicken version is also good. I like that they have the option to swap chips for rice. The portion size is good, you can spend £5 and not worry about being hungry. I’ve tried their falooda and always love it, prefer it over a few other places on wilmslow road. Been here many times and will always go back for a quick bite if i’m around.

We stumbled past this place on the way back to our cars and were drawn in by the huge range of ice creams and cakes on display.

The place definately stands out from outside and is also very pleasant inside. My husband and I were quite hungry and decided to have our dinner here. We ordered king prawns with rice and also another with chips. The food was tasty, but portion size is a huge let down and I have also heard this from friends who have eaten there. We could have eaten double the amount and felt that the portions were 'child-size'. In all honesty we left Jilani's still feeling hungry and ended up snacking when we got home. We arrived quite late and the padded seating area for groups were empty with no customers waiting. We did ask to be seated there (which seemed reasonable under the circumstances) but the staff refused. The toilet was also rather untidy and smelly.

Sin duda no era el flan de devon. calidad ambrosia Deberíamos haber caminado cuando el chico estaba haciendo o, al menos, le pregunté qué hacer cuando ordenes de flan. De todos modos decidimos probar y sabía horrible teniendo en mente era de £2. 99 cada uno. Muy insatisfecho. No se viene aquí una y otra vez

Best Cafe so far for grill food. Atmosphere is acceptable as they are very busy in peak hours. Food is good.

Came for dinner through recomodationns was nice menus not too big though only grilled food is served there main burger jilani burger was nice stuffed with cheese but confusing as the other burgers we ordered cheese burgers looked the same chops and kebabs were great in would have preferred more of a spicy sauce staff were great and went above and beyond in service my daughter wanted to do colouring which they don't do in restaurant they went out and brought her a kids magazine with colours was a nice touch I would recommend a visit as desserts look great as well

It is a nice place to visit busy times mean waiting also staff are laid back but polite and do their best.Food seemed to tast better first time as I have been a few times.Value for money and a nice relaxed dining experience.

Service is really odd. They dont let you order any food as a starter 'we serve as soon as it's ready' which is really irritating. The food is cheap in price and quality matches the value. Also when I was stood in a queue to pay, someone asked if I was paying by card when I said yes, he gripped my card and swiped using the contactless method. DO NOT swipe my card without my permission. Paying via contactless is a customers decision not yours. I was horrified and I will it return or recommend! Get it together Jilanis

I went with friends and we all ordered american style pancakes. All pancakes were very dry, some layers were empty. I was about taking the last spoon and then a staff member came and took my plate without asking and brought the bill. My friends were still eating.Then the lady did again the same thing with my friend. We were about to leave, she came again to start cleaning the tables.I admit that there was a long queue outside but this is not the way they should treat customers. I will never return back.

Ok well the place looks ok could do with a clean up and repair like cracked mirrors off seating and bit messy. Staff are friendly but you never get the same person twice. They didn't do mocktail she even though it was on the menu so had to resort to juice the waiters kept dropping food and cutlery every where. Starters were nice but not much on a plate mains were a let down some had a lot on their plate like chops and prawns but my burger was literally bread bun with three sliced thin lettuce leaves chicken breast and sauce that's it a huge let down from the burgers I've had elsewhere and chips were ok rather prefer fries but no option. The price is cheap so one plus point. If you take your car parking is horrendous so just park behind sher khan in a car park it's safe quick and easy.

I visited on Sunday with my sister and a couple of friends and the staff were extremely rude. Most certainly a visit to remember due to what I experienced. The visit was my first, my experience made me leave midway and I don't intend to ever return there. Furthermore the rushed feeling was echoed by diners around me so it most certainly was not an isolated incident.Upon arrival, our names were placed on a list and asked to wait. There was no direction as to where to wait so staff kept pushing past in the limited area between the dining area and the desert stand which appeared to be the most reasonable place to wait.There were updates we would be seated soon but staff started sitting others before us and when we inquired to the reason why, they stated that it was because we were waiting for two from our party.We explained we had been waiting for significantly longer than the initial estimated time and we would sit and order for them. They found us a table shortly after however before we looked through the menu, the waiter began to ask our order. I explained it was our first time and I would need to look through the menu. In the meantime, we got drinks.When he returned, we were still looking through and he started yelling in front of several other customers that we needed to order immediately or go back to standing as it was only reason we had been given a table.A truly dreadful experience from my point of view. I think the worst part was that the sense in the cafe was that no one would rectify the situation even if I did get a manager. I simply felt such action would be redundant and got up to leave.Make sure you have a whole load of patience if you choose to visit.

No parking near restaurant if lucky you may got one near other than that you have to park near residential streets plus not always you get a parking space so that's just annoying you have to drive street after street to find one, anyways the restaurant is nice simple interior inside nothing to fancy, the guy on till with beard is rude and the other staffs just don't have hospitality skills at all they slam the food on table and they don't even say what the item is, the menu price isn't too bad but the portion size of certain items bit to less my lamb chops looked like there wasn't any meat on it but there food is delicious only let down is staff and the service and the small dishes they put on this black tray takes all the space of table so that's annoying but just one guy who surprised me the most was his name is Qasim he is on the ball plus he knows how to talk to customers and he can remember everyone's order from our table without taking his order pad out, without this guy I would have given it a 2 star

My friend and I decided to try this place out one iftari and despite not having booked a table we only had a 20 minute wait. The food came out fairly quickly. Love how it is presented to you. The trio of desserts was also amazing. Will definitely make the trip from Birmingham again just to eat here. Top marks for food and service!

Very nice, very crowded. Arrive early for good seats. All dishes were of high quality. I came a lot way to eat here and it was well worth it. Affordable too.

Jilani's attempt to offer fusion food, not held by a specific cuisine. It is heavily influenced by Pakistani/Indian food, which isn't a surprise as the owners and a lot of customers are from that origin. Portion sizes are not big, and meats are of mediocre quality. Prices do not reflect the portion sizes, so if you do go, order more than you usually would.

Great place for food definitely recommend the lamb chops and the Jilanis platter and the pancakes, staff were very polite and welcoming as soon as we entered and sat down fantastic service no issues did'nt have to wait long to get served and the food to arrive presented very well i then tried the pancake cookie crumble with a scoop of ice cream which was delicious. The restaurant was very clean and has a great vibe, would definitely come again, The Staff in particular were amazing throughout keep up the good work

This place is to grab a quick bite really, prices range for £5 - 10 so it is a bit pricey for average cafe prices. The menu doesn't present much options, but do not come here treating it as a restaurant, as it is more for casual and the food is to a decent standard. It seems like a 30 - 40 seater cafe, so it has plenty of space and interior seems modern and there are two booths inside for big groups. Come here for a standard casual meal with a bit of extra income and this is your place to be for meat food, chicken wings, lamb kebabs, seekh kebabs, chips and naan breads etc, they also do desserts, but you're in Wilmslow road, and there is other places for desserts like lahores, Gelato Passion etc.

Myself and partner stopped off here to grab a quick bite to eat before our 300mile drive back home , out of all the eating places we choose to eat here , the place was quite cold and the staff did not listen to our order which kept us waiting 50 mins untill the meal arrived which we still hadnt received our starter! There was no cutlery or napkins we felt like we had to keep asking them to be told it would be ready in 5 mins! we witnessed people come and sit down after us and receive their meal within 10mins we feel really disappointed and don't think We would ever return here! Toilets had no tissue paper, hand wash and the hand dryer did not work, service was shockingly very poor! was supposed to be a quick stop off turned into us being sat there for almost 2 hours. Avoid if your rushed for time.

Visited Jilani's with DJ IRF food was out of this world and the service exceptional. It's a go place.

Me and my friend went there to grab some food. However the place was very cold. The guy who come over and seated us was very moody. He did not seem like he was even happy doing his job and could not be bothered doing anything. Everyone there seemed to be so moody and no it seemed like everyone found it hard to crack a smile. Other than that the price of the food was decent so that's one good thing I would say. But other than that it's not somewhere I would personally go with any family and friends till they sort their customer services out.

Go for the lamb chops. Well worth the money. Good service, this one waiter can be a bit moody, but the food will make you get over it. Service is fast. Dessert is okay, the best is the fondue, i wouldn't get any other dessert there. It would be better if this place was HMC and turned the music off! Otherwise it would have got 5 stars from me.

Been there news eve, as expected a bit busy had to wait 20 minutes, this was made up by the lovely food, the chicken tikka platter is lovely, good presentation. Would definitely go there again.... and highly recommend it.

Average food lamb chops undercooked service was slow and the staff were rude overpriced and the quality was shocking gave me a bad stomach and left a dirty taste in my mouth would never recommend go somewhere else

Jilani's Cafe is a hub of activity located in the centre of the Curry MiLe. Parking is a bit of a pain but worth the trouble. A pleasant atmosphere but music is very loud making it hard to talk. My experience with the food has always been good and I can recommend the mint lamb tikka/ chops. The Jilani special burger stuffed with cheese and mushroom is also consistently good. my friend however has twice had the wrong order brought to her and sadly the waiter did argue with her the last time in front of me, a pity because I liked going there but probably won't when I am with my friend again. The deserts are very good, especially the chocolate fondue, apple pie and custard and oreo cheesecake. Generally a nice place to go and reasonably priced.

came here with my family and back the next day with my sister. My family members have moved to manchester and they said they will take me to the best place to eat. They sure did i love the presentation of the food the atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Nothing is overpriced its just right. If i lived in manchester i'd visit every week

Honestly the best lamb chops we have ever eaten. The chips were nice but I'm not sure what the naan was doing on the platter. The smoothies were very tasty. Great service.

Farah better options available in the surrounding area. Ras malai was pretty watery but ambience is good better Ras malai at Nafees in longsight but not brilliant for eating in. Also not cheap

I have been here a few times in the past where the desserts were great and customer service excellent.I went today and tried the food menu-everything we were served was awful.The love in the presentation has completely gone.I wouldn't serve food in my home to guests with this level of presentation let alone taste.The deserts were bland probably good for diabetics.I noticed the seat I was sat on at the booths had massive tears and I noticed the mirror by the drinks refrigerator was broken,no paper towels in the bathroom..Just little details but shows the owner clearly does not care.The menu is fantastic a real shame the quality control has gone.A front of house is needed where there is a check on the customers and the kitchen.

Very disappointed as I come here quite often. We decided to come for dessert today after a meal elsewhere. As you walk in, everybody seems to ignore you so we were wondering whether we sit or not when a waiter came out of the kitchen and told us to sit... As we sat we ordered a fondue for 2 and some drinks. We entered with a few other groups of people. As there were 2 of us ordering a fondue we didn't expect a 30 minute wait. We watched as others received full meals coming in the same time and after us, we almost got up to leave when our fondue came. It came on a disgusting filthy platter. I refused to eat till they at least swapped the tray as it looked vile. He removed the tray completely and just played our dishes on the table. Not a big deal I guess. It wasn't till we started our unlit fondue (the candle had been out and looked like reused a good few times) I noticed half the strawberries had began to mould. They had patches of white fluff growing on most of them so we didn't want to make a fuss tried to pick ones that looked clean. Decided to get up and leave shortly as it's just not worth eating mouldy fruit. There are so so so many nice dessert places on this road, they clearly only value your service if you order food. Never again.

Mashallah great venue. The staff blew me away on arrival just from taking the order. There was 18 of us and the waiter who took the order didn't even write our order but repeated our order to us word for word. Within 20 minutes everything we ordered came out perfect. No mistakes and to top it they threw in a few extras. The food overall is 5 stars. But what I go back for is the Lamb Chops. The best halal lamb Chops in the UK for me. Huge portions and at great value. Hats off to the staff there and look forward to going back soon.

Been to Jilanis a few times. I always order the same as I find the menu very limited.I would recommend the lamb chops or any of the grilled menu. Its known for its burgers but i dont eat them.The kids enjoyed the varied ice creams and cakes. I would visit again, but i wish they would add more to the menu.Service is good, helpful staff.Parking can be an issue around here and the area has seen a rise of beggers.

Heard alot about this cafe. Fast food cafe . Kids liked the burgers. Desserts are okay. We went in for a birthday celebration but were told we could not cut our cake there. After making a fuss they allowed us to cut but not eat our cake. Staff arrogant dont think we will return . There are many more alike to choose from .

Went into Jilanis today, and was greeted by a very rude waiter. He just said sit there, and left us unattained. When nobody came to serve us, we walked out.Jilanis you really need to look at customer service and training your waiters to be attentive and respectful to your customers. Or you will get more customers walking out.

Predominantly a pancake, ice-cream and cake bar. Having sampled both the wide variety of ice-creams and cakes on numerous occasions, I can say they are some of the best in Rusholme. Try the Kulfi or pistachio ice-cream, and the Snickers, and strawberry gateau's are a must.

Finally paid a visit. It was worth the wait. Food was quality, chops were mouth watering. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, did not take too long, will come back again. The only downside was the toilet facilities, it was quite dirty but besides that I was pleased.
