Overpriced for what it was unfortunately, wouldn't go back in a hurry. But service and ambience was great 👍

Vermilion is a fantastic venue for large events, easily accommodating over 200 guests. The ambiance is stylish, the service is good, and the food is of great quality. A great spot for corporate gatherings, weddings, and special celebrations!

Evitar a toda costa Reservamos una mesa para la noche de San Valentín para las 7. 30 pm llegamos a las 7. 15 pm para esperar mientras encontraban nuestra reserva a pesar de que teníamos confirmación por correo electrónico. Se mostró a nuestra mesa y se dejó esperar. Sin menú de bebidas sin menú de comida sin agua después de 25 minutos y pidiendo menús nos trajeron solo un menú de bebidas. Otros 10 minutos y el pedido se tomó de nuevo tuvo que pedir menú de comida. Todo el tiempo viendo al pobre personal corriendo por ahí siendo gritado y la comida estaba saliendo con el personal sin tener idea de qué mesa iba también. La comida era preciosa, solo una pena, el servicio es vergonzoso Fue tan malo que si a las parejas que nos rodean no también les hubiera parecido divertido me habría ido. Pensamos que Ant & December iban a saltar. No hubo disculpas. ¡Hasta tuvieron el descaro de cobrar por el servicio! Que les hicimos quitar. En un momento uno de los gerentes andaba por ahí videoteando a todo el mundo en el lugar lo cual de nuevo me parece espantoso NO quiero aparecer en algún post de insta/facebook de mierda NO doy mi consentimiento. En general, es una pena que el lugar y la comida sean muy agradables y los otros clientes fueron un placer sentarse con ellos, pero la administración necesita ponerse las pilas y resolverlo

Honestly can only recommend the food. Despite it being valentines, therefore it was busy, the service was awful. Me and my boyfriend booked here for our 2 year anniversary and valentine’s day meal. Once sat down we weren’t given menus for 10 minutes, then had to wait a further 20 minutes to order after having to ask two people to please come. After every course we weren’t asked once how our food was, the food was just taken, once our main course had been quickly swept away we then had to ask multiple people for a dessert menu as we weren’t offered. Also, we watched the manager shout at all his staff multiple times which made us feel uncomfortable and could tell it was upsetting the staff which could be the reason for the poor service. The food was so beautifully cooked however we felt so much passive aggression from the staff who seemed like they wanted to just get the night over with. When my boyfriend paid about £150 for our meal the receipt was thrown onto the table and we were left. No thankyou, not once asked how our food was or if we needed anything else and especially it being a special day and us spending so much you’d expect atleast maybe a hi or bye and looking around you could see the annoyance of everyone else also the fact most of the girls in the toilets were also talking about the awful service and how awkward they felt. So overall would never come back just on the fact we were treated so rudely.

Brilliant experience before a Man City match..food was buffet style which suited us down to a tee. There was plenty food which was sooo tasty. The staff were so accommodating. I can't comment on value for money as we were there as part of a package.

We had a dinner at Vermilion for a celebration. It was an unforgettable experience. Our Italian water and the Manager give an excellent service and made us feel like home. Well done guys. Keep up the good work. We will be back shortly.

Buen lugar para 20 cosas que no tienen ni una paleta fina ni expectativas sobre un buen servicio , el ambiente es grande, lo que es una pena que otras partes de esta experiencia de comer es una decepción . El servicio era deficiente para lo que se supone que es un buen comedor , necesitaba pedir 4 veces una bebida que pedí a la llegada , la comida estaba incorrectamente cocinada a la que pedí , necesitaba pedir cubiertos apropiados, Estas cosas no deberían suceder . La comida aquí era absolutamente increíble, no podíamos fallar. Y tuvimos un buen tiempo en general. El servicio les decepcionó, todo tomó edades, bebidas orden, los estados y la alimentación (el restaurante no estaba ocupado en absoluto) . Cuando los camareros trajeron la comida la pusieron en la mesa, pero no dijeron qué plato era qué y cuando preguntamos no parecían seguros. Éramos 6 juntos (3 parejas) así que al final queríamos dividir la cuenta. La camarera dijo que esto no era posible, explicamos cómo no nos dijeron esto y necesitábamos dividir la cuenta, esto fue y vino por un tiempo y luego finalmente nos dejó. No estoy muy seguro de por qué ella era difícil al respecto ya que nos dejó eventualmente. Para una idea sobre el costo, mi pareja y yo teníamos entre nosotros: 3 refrescos, 3 cervezas, dos entrantes, dos currys, una porción de naan y una porción de arroz. La factura llegó a 124 libras incluyendo el cargo por servicio para dos de nosotros.

My sister's wedding was at Vermilion back in June of 2022. Take note that the entrance going into this place is quite narrow compared to other wedding venues. The inside décor is very impressive The table setting was brilliant as I could easily manoeuvre about and around the room, nor did I feel cramped in. The food was delicious. The waiting staff were excellent, better than the "organisers"... The organiser (some short Asian/Pakistani woman) really let the side down..Here's the thing: I asked for steps to be put out on both sides of the stage...Yet, she only managed to have one step put out for the groom's family. And, as we (the bride's family) went up on stage we had to (embarrassingly) wait for a step to be put out for us in order for us to get on to the stage!..This slip up shouldn't have happened as I had already asked ''the organiser'' about the steps an 1 hour beforehand yet (purposely) she just failed at such a simple request.. I reckon she didn't like the fact that my sister had a walkway (set up for her entrance) leading to the stage.. The organiser claimed she wasn't aware of a walkway. It seemed to have taken by surprise. She didn't look happy about it being there for the few hours it was there for. :D...As if she'd never seen one in her life! 😆 Although one of her colleagues (some tall man with a foreign accent) did a much better job at answering our requests and helping us out on the day.. Had it not been for him and the others, I would have easily given 2-3 stars rather than 4. The majority of the staff we interacted with seemed positive, happy, approachable, and professional, aside from one or two... The venue also has a decent size prayer room, a bit bigger than that of many of the other venues I have visited.

Amazing food and amazing service. It never felt like we were ignored for one second, and the taste of the food was definitely worth any penny. Definitely on the pricier side of food in Manchester but for good reason. Came on a Friday night at around 6pm and it was pleasantly quiet. For someone who gets overwhelmed easily, this place was perfect. The music wasn’t too loud, the lights were just right, and the performer there on guitar was also a perfect volume. Would be a great spot for children or adults who get overstimulated easily. P.S., the bartender/server (the one with the beard and the white button up) was very handsome!

I came here as part of my wedding day meal. I booked the maharaja table and after many advanced phone calls to make sure everything was going to be okay...... it was more than okay. From walking in and being greeted to taking the lift upstairs and having our own private area was amazing. The lighting and deco is top notch and the mood fits with the colour settings. All our guests have amazing feedback. I spoke to the manager called estoban, estovan (apologies for the wrong spelling) and he made sure the evening was problem free. We had a personal waiter called Satu who went above and beyond in making sure the table was fully stocked and cleaned and served at the perfect time and anything I needed was swiftly bought. All with a smile too!! I know right, a waiter, smiling. It's unheard of sometimes. The food was amazing. We chose the Christmas menu A and each dish was very flavoursome. A note for the desert, it's nice but very rich chocolate and most of us could only finish half so if that's not your thing then choose something else to your liking. All in all. A credit to the staff and hats to the chefs for making the food fresh and fast. Very easy to overlook the people who cook your food. Will definately be back for a normal meal in the future.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have a very big problem with people who use their authority to disrespect, mistreat, and harass the staff and this is exactly what I experienced by the man who claimed to be the director/owner of the venue (who’s name I asked for multiple times at the front desk and was denied it). I had a disagreement with him where he got all up in my face, aggressive toned and so rude, interrupting me many times with his tantrums. I’ve never experienced an employer to be so pathetic and hostile in my life. My sister visited as a customer recently actually, and lo and behold, Vermilion strikes again. Not only was she waiting for her booked table for 20 minutes, once the table was ready, they gave the table to a different family. Completely ruined her birthday, she had to go elsewhere. As a staff member, this place is awful, as a guest, this place is clearly down in the dumps. Save your money folks, you’re better off at a Wetherspoons.

Beautiful venue and interior, with lovely atmosphere and service. However, food wasn’t great, the Satay Kai was dry and did not have any flavour. Rasam Pani Puri was okay. The Butter Chicken Tikka Kofta was good and presented well. The Lamb Karahi was also fine, okay flavour but lacked depth, slightly disappointed by the food.

Went in yesterday for a meal. Front desk said it is a set menu for Christmas and to have a look at the menu and see if suits. There were no prices on the set menu advertised but we went ahead. The set menu was one starter, one main and one dessert, drinks not included. We had our meal was satisfactory, nothing really special. We then asked for the bill and were greeted with the whopping total of £140.80 for two people. The set menu was charged at £54.00 a head. If this was advertised when giving us the set menu we probably would have walked out. We were left in a predicament at the end as we had eaten and needed to pay, but the price we paid for the meal was ridiculous and completely not worth it. No transparency involved and rather disappointed. If we were given the normal menu, with advertised pricing, we probably would have paid a lot less for what we were given. Won’t be going again.

Had a close friends wedding. Absolutely shambolic service. Everything that could have gone wrong from a service point of view, did go wrong. Not ideal for Asian weddings.

We attended a wedding the other day. What an absolute shamble it was. Not even waiters to serve food. About 30% didn’t get any food. The kebabs were raw inside. RED and RAW INSIDE. Starters came with only a few in a tray. Mains an hours later From 1200 people about 900 left by 11pm and dessert hadn’t been served yet DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING HERE

We went to Vermillion to celebrate my friend's birthday, expecting a lovely dining experience based on the online reviews and pictures. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. Despite having a reservation, it took us 10 minutes to be seated. We allowed for this thinking the restaurant might be busy, but it didn't seem crowded at all. The seats had gum on them, which was very off-putting. The worst part was the music. There was a DJ playing extremely loud techno house music, which was completely inappropriate for a fine dining setting. We couldn't hear each other speak, which ruined the atmosphere. We asked two staff members, including the general manager, to lower the volume slightly so we could enjoy our meal and converse. However, we were told no because "people pay for that." This response was very disappointing. We ended up leaving early and didn't even get to celebrate with a cake for my friend's birthday. The loud music made it impossible to enjoy our food or the company of friends.

Great place to visit such a relaxing place with a great halls for events and a must visit restaurant with great sitting arena and ambient lighting. Food is fabulous. Indian cuisine and Indian desert are must try options. Best from each and every angle. Cozy place to have food and relaxing place to relax your mind and soul. ❤️❤️

Our wedding was unfortunately ruined by a lack of communication by all staff. Never once was I approached on the day to ask how things were, and they threw our wedding cake in the bin. As nice as the venue may look, I would not recommend it for a wedding or an event.

Nice place which was offered to us as part of our tickets to watch Manchester City game. Good selection of foods, helpful staff. It was very family friendly on 1st Floor of the restaurant. 15 minute walk to stadium.

Ate here from the buffet before a Manchester City match. Nice location within walking distance of the stadium. Very friendly staff who make you feel at home from the start.

Nice place that we would never have been to if it hadn't been included in our tickets for the Manchester City match. Included a pre-drink and a type of buffet listed as a 3-course meal on City's website. Located some distance from the stadium, so it means a walk there.

After being let down at the last minute by a city centre venue for my daughters 21st, Vermillion had no problem accommodating our party of 10 with a weeks notice. We were given a superb table and the staff could not have been better: really friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent night and cannot thank the staff enough. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful and hospitable place! Every member of staff, from the manager to our fantastic waiter Sato, were wholeheartedly dedicated to looking after us and making sure we had a night to remember! The level of service was remarkable and when they clocked on that it was my birthday, the truly went above and beyond. The decor is also stunning and makes Vermillion stand out from other dining spots in town! Unique and tastefully designed, it provides an intriguing yet peaceful and relaxing ambiance that makes for the perfect environment to savour good company and good food. Speaking of which, the food itself was prepared to perfection! The precise attention to detail in the balance of flavours made each dish we had something special. I had the Dal Makhani and whilst I've had many a dal before, I've never had one that's blown me away like that. Lastly, I'd strongly recommend the Red Lantern cocktail. It's an experience in and of itself!

I booked the Maharaja experience for my 24th Wedding Anniversary and were greeted by a very welcoming front desk who directed us to the lift whereupon we were greeted again by two gentlemen who escorted myself and my family to the table and wished us a very happy anniversary. The waiter Sott apologies if I have misspelled the name was exceptional and very very professional and welcoming. The food recommendations made by him were absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the food and speaking to him. He was very good with my teenage children and helped them. I highly recommend Vermillion to everyone the style and deco of the restaurant is outstanding. I have visited the 7 Star Hotel in Dubai on many occasions and the service and staff from Vermillion from my experience was at this level. A credit to the owners, and staff, this place is truly 7 Stars. Thank you everyone at Vermillion. I hope to visit there again soon.

I would most definitely say this place lived upto expectations. Ordered mainly Indian food, ribs were okay abit too greasy burnt, butter chicken was one of the best I've had and sides were all 10/10. Service was second to none as it should be. Will be back again

I’ve been before and it was much better. We arrived on time then had to go to the bar to wait for a table despite the fact we had a reservation. Then we were sat and nobody came to get our order at all. Not even drinks. I had to try get someone multiple times before someone finally came. We then waited probably another 15 minutes for our drinks - at this time it had already been over an hour from when our reservation was meant to be. Food was nice but again, nobody came to check if everything was okay, no asking about any other drinks, water. Literally no service at all other than actually serving the food. Baring in mind this was a birthday. Last time I was here, napkins were put on our laps, menu was explained and recommendations given, wine was suggested, we didn’t have to wait for anything. This was a really poor experience and I don’t like how they put on the website that if you’re over 5 minutes late your booking will be cancelled when we arrive on time and they’re not even ready for us and we have to wait an extra 30 minutes. There’s no urgency for us but everyone else was given attention… very weird. I would’ve recommended before but not anymore. Even just to pay it took another 15 minutes at least. You call someone over, they say yes and then walk away and do something else? Poor experience. Not to mention it was loud as hell! It’s meant to be a fancy restaurant but it sounded like we were in a pub, everyone was shouting. There’s better experiences to be had in Manchester.

Loved it. The food was so well done. We were going to a concert at the etihad and just wanted a restaurant near Manchester City's stadium. Vermilion was a brilliant choice.

So I thought I’d try some of the new things on the menu, the chicken boa is lovely BUT, it need something pickled desperately! Not enough so called relief. Need that tang. Lamb rib starter! Amazing! Weeping tiger steak very tasty just a bit chewy and didn’t come with the same sauce in the advert that had me drooling 🤣❤️ The sphere volcano was a total waste of time, sauce too runny took over the place and lost all the crunch bits in it so ended up with just the dense taste of pure chocolate, could of got that from microwaving a 80p chocolate bar. Looks fancy but totally unnecessary especially if it will taste like that. The only reason I didn’t let that drop the rating down to a 3 is because the place is so beautiful and relaxing and the service is pretty great.

We hosted a wedding event at Vermilion, expecting a memorable day, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The service was poor, and the management's attitude was unprofessional. What should have been a joyous occasion was marred by inefficiency and disrespect. I wouldn’t recommend Vermilion for any important event.

Wedding function here. Good parking. A bit tacky and carpets seemed to need cleaning. It was really heavenly to see some very old dear ones from 50 years ago, which made up for the rather lackluster venue.

Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've been to. What really made it an awesome experience was the staff. They were so kind and friendly. The drinks were AMAZING. The food was AMAZING. I was only in town for a concert, but would happily drive the two hours just to come and eat here again.

The service and food were 1st class. Perhaps the music in the dining area could be turned down a touch. We will be coming again and recommending you to friends.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing service! This is a really pretty restaurant, and I found the service to be very attentive. We were asked to pre order our meals early because we were a large group, so our food came really fast too. I got the parmesan fries and tikka paneer, and my friends got a mixture of curries. I wasn’t a fan of the paneer, and my friends also didn’t like their green curry too much either. We all found the food quite sweet.

OMG what an amazing place. The design is gorgeous, the food even more so, I couldn’t decide what to have from the menu as it all sounded amazing, and what we did order was both visually and gastronomically outstanding. As you can tell, we enjoyed it. I love the fact that when you have finished your meal you can go to the large bar area upstairs and continue your evening. The staff were second to none as well, very professional, fast service, very on the ball. As you can see we loved it. Definitely highly recommend.

Went here as a table of five as special guests. Absolutely enjoyed it from start to finish. Polite attentive staff, lovely interior ambience and then the food , it was amazing and quite quickly presented. I had the sea bass curry and jasmine rice with a naan. Really enjoyed it, very tasty and a big enough quantity. Just one thing to be aware of, all the drinks come in very small bottles for the price, cobra beer 300ml and diet cokes 200ml. Other than that, it was perfection.

Service was quick and efficient. Food was delicious and we even got a birthday brownie with lots of sparkle too.Would definitely recommend to all and will be back when we're next in the area

The most delicious food, I had the butter chicken and also tried the lamb massaman curry with jasmine rice and naan. 10/10! I love that the menu offers Indian and Thai dishes, so there is plenty variety. Thank you to Estoban for being so hospitable and accommodating. Food was delicious. The quality of the food was great, portion sizes are on the smaller side. Highly recommend the curries, they’re excellent and very authentic. The biryani and plain rice were great, too. I don’t recommend the naan, I don’t think they make it in house. The atmosphere was nice, great place for a special event/celebration.
