My favourite place to eat. Food is great. Service is good. Relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a local evening out.

We went there for a friend's birthday. I ordered lobster pasta and it was from frozen, very tough taste like wood, the worst lobster dish I ever had in my life. One friend had it too and was very unhappy just like me. Because the birthday friend liked the restaurant so much and recommended it, so that I did't want to ruin his day and said nothing. I had very bad diarrhoea that night. This made me upset for quite a long time and now I decide to write this review. A seafood restaurant serves frozen lobster, just shocking.

It's a great place to have dinner. The atmosphere, decoration, and food (great quality and portions) are fantastic.

Had a lovely night Service is a little slow but nothing too major If you like fish , definitely try this place. Lovely portions and would definitely recommend you try the garlic bread. Best we're ever tasted 😋 Owner and staff were polite and friendly

I was in the area and I called Robust restaurant to ask if it was halal, turns out the manger said it is, so we went to eat there and paid around 80 pound worth of haram dishes, I knew it was haram because I called again just to see if it was halal, a young lad said its not, so beware to all MUSLIMS, this place IS HARAM.. PS respect to the young lad, honest lad .

A very well run family resteraunt. Seafood based menu with some staple foods (steaks etc). Fish ordered in fresh for demand. Menu changes every 5 months. Drinks were well made as well! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service, will be return customers.

I read the reviews before coming here and it’s such an amazing Resturant it’s the best on Orpington high street no doubt. The food is exceptional and the service is really quick I’d recommend for anyone who’s looking for and evening out.

Robust is a special addition to Orpington highstreet; a real gem. I have been here many times with my family and the staff are so friendly and accommodating, always welcoming us and our dog in. The service is fast and always with a smile, the cocktails are lovely and the food is delicious. One of my favourite places to dine in the area!

Went in for lunch. Service was really great. Attention to detail was brilliant, Arben was excellent, made us feel welcome from the first moment we walked in. I could not belive how they provide high quality food at such a reasonable rate. My experience here was great and l recommend you try it. It was quiet however very pleasant. Great menu and l will be trying their dishes over the next few weeks. For those who love rose please try their house rose, you wont regret it! Thank you so much for a great experience to all the staff.

This place is Orpington’s best kept secret. Incredible seafood and meats, and very well priced. Best restaurant in town.

What a wonderful gem in Orpington High Street. We love the decor, ambience, seats were comfortable, friendly attentive staff and most Important of all, the food was great! Not the traditional French or Italian style you’d expect. There’s a twist of Greek in them - which I absolutely love! Creative and original. Oh- and try the homemade ice cream. It’s so addictive! Even my friends who’s not into dessert couldn’t resist it….

Love this place, from Octopus to tuna or steak and much more, the menu is great and it’s a family run resturant with open kitchen and prices are very good and has a great atmosphere and it’s open until late.

A gem of a restaurant on our doorstep. Robust has atmosphere, warm, friendly, helpful and efficient service, an interesting menu and delicious food. We love seafood and the chef here knows how to cook fish. It's our go to for a romantic meal.

The food was cooked and displayed with hotel standard. Love the used of grains and salad came with the dish that complimented the seafood and meat so well. Only the use of salt was on the heavy side to our taste. The seatings were spacious and comfortable. Service was excellent. Will certainly go again!

Our first visit here and probably wont be our last. Nice relaxed mature serene feel to Robust. Nice and classy decor too. Which is what I want when I'm having good food. Staff nice and polite and the owner is a great guy. Had mixed seafood platter to start which was cooked very well. All the components cooked how seafood should be treated. Had the whole seabream and moussaka for mains. Moussaka was very nice indeed,slightly different to the usual way you'd expect but still tasty. Seabream slightly over on one side hence the 4star rating. Other than that a 5star no doubt. I think the best place to eat in Orpington. Thankbyou Robust for a nice experience 😉

Update: have finally eaten in at Robust and the food quality is really good. Lots of well made food getting the basics right as well as great taste and presentation. Even the garlic bread is super nice. Every dish we had was of a high standard. I’ve even been back just for the Armenonville ice cream which is likely the best desert on the high street! Service every time - warm and welcoming. My advice is go here and enjoy! Original post: Had a great take away from here just before Christmas. The food was of a high standard and tasted great, the service was very helpful and friendly. I look forward to eating in the restaurant once we are through the COVID issues.

I can say 3 word about this place excellent, perfect, brilliant

As you'll see there're meat and seafood dishes as well as side dishes make you fill without a main. The octopus salad is a side dish for example but as you see it's almost a main size. Fresh, tasty and amazing all time. My son is quite picky usually but the lamb chops there were spot on even for him. Robust is the one and only restaurant that servicing tasty medit dishes in Orpington High Street. The prices even quite reasonable for the dishes they make there. Since November 2021 I have never eaten something with a bad taste there. Highly recommended.

We've been a couple of times in Robust restaurant and the food is always of a high standard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing quality food and lovely interior

Went here for the lunch menu and it didn't disappoint - was all really tasty, great value and generous portions! We particularly enjoyed the chargrilled prawns and my mom soaked up every last bit of sauce on the seafood spaghetti. The service was amazing and they even ran after my dad across the road because he left behind his cap! Would come again!

Wow, the food is incredible. If you like seafood, you need to try this place! We'll definitely be going back, it's raising the standards for tasty food in Orpington. This is some of the best seafood we've eaten in a restaurant for a very long time and the prices are very reasonable! Big seafood platter, two very generous and tasty mains and 2 glasses of wine for £65. If this was more central, you'd easily pay £100 for the same quality. The owner and the chef showed their genuine love and passion for delivering good food and the chef even came out to talk to us to make sure the food is up to their own standards.

Service & food was really good. However the lobster let it down.

Great if you like fish I suppose but my friend and I had the rib-eye steak - worst I've ever eaten - so tough!!!! Came with one small potato and one sliver of carrot plus a floret or two of broccoli and cauliflower. Tasted okay but really not good value. Will def not revisit!!!

Why haven't we come here sooner? Great fresh food. Beautifully cooked. Clean flavours. We had a carpaccio to start which was delicious, and both main courses we great too. Perfect portions. Service was warm and friendly. We'll be back to work our way through the menu!

It was late afternoon after visiting Home of Charles Darwin (Down House), hungry having missed lunch we searched "Restaurants" using Google maps. Within the list of results, we saw this restaurant with nearly 5 stars rating. Curious to see if the food reflects the very high ratings so decided to give it a try. We were very glad we did, the place is very clean, the food was very well presented. The starters and mains was cooked perfectly and tasted very delicious, all topped off with excellent customer service. Highly recommended this restaurant!

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Went last night for my son's birthday and we all loved it. The seafood platter was amazing and fillet steak perfected cooked..oh the garlic bread was to die for! Staff very attentive, lovely atmosphere and seating not crowded. Thank you Robust!

A lovely hidden gem in Orpington. Very classy setting with very reasonable pricing. The menu looks delicious and the food was sublime. The dessert takes the cherry though. The base of the cheesecake was a unique experience for the pallet, will definitely be ordering this again. The service was also very professional and kept just the right attentiveness. Highly recommended!

We were exploring the Orpington area and found this place for Sunday. It was quiet compared to other cafes in the area but we were really glad we found this place and we had a nice relaxing lunch. The portions were generous, the food was well presented and seasoned and the service was very attentive. We definitely recommend this place!

Robust really is a fabulous restaurant. The fish is beautiful and I couldn't recommend it enough. I think they were a bit understaffed the night we went but the atmosphere was great, the manger was very attentive and we had some truly magnificent food. Oh, and the prices are so reasonable too. Please visit Robust soon, you won't be disappointed.

Took my Fiancé here for his birthday last night! We recently moved to the kent area and after seeing the google rating, i thought, why not?🤷🏾‍♀️ It has really exceeded my expectations! The starters were seasoned and cooked to perfection (the grilled prawns 😙👌🏾) we had the lobster pasta for two for our main....omg wow. Just wow. The waiter was attentive and polite, the portion sizes were big (a personal fave of mine), the prices are more than reasonable and the quality was not compromised🙌🏾 I can say I've never tipped willingly in all my years of living but this night i happily did🤑! I will be back! And i am recommending this place to everyone!😆

We stumbled across this fantastic restaurant last night and safe to say we will definitely be back! Excellent food, complimentary bread and dip and even a free drink at the end. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

I am visiting the restaurant almost every week. The dishes are creative, delicious and huge! Everything seems to be made by the chefs with fresh ingredients. The staff is obviously highly experienced on what they do and they pay attention to the details. Overall a combination of advantages that you rarely find in London

Amazing restaurant & a very high standard of food quality. I went with a friend and was met with lovely staff who make you feel very welcome and very attentive where needed. My family are from Corfu, Greece and I spent a lot of time there. The authentic flavours reminded me of being back! Beautiful decor and spotlessly clean (covid friendly). Plenty of Mediterranean food choices along with lovely wine & cocktails. We had complimentary pitta bread & tzatziki, grilled prawns with garlic, whole sea-bass and fillet of sea-bass! All absolutely delicious, highly recommend. One of the best restaurants in Orpington x

I love this place, used to have breakfast here quite often during the summer and now I've gone for dinner. The food is tasty, they've got great coffee, good cocktails and they cater for gluten free requirements. It's a pleasant place, with relaxing background music, tables placed at a good distance from each other and very welcoming, friendly and professional staff.

Love this restaurant…definitely one of the best places to eat in the bromley/Orpington area. Food is so fresh and delicious. And it is great value for money. Highly recommend!

Awesome breakfast. Eggs benedict is spot on at this place.

Great place. Everything we ate was delicious, the octopus being truly exceptional- I have never eaten such tender octopus meat. Tzatziki, calamari, ceviche and Greek salad were also great. Incredibly friendly staff.

Nice food. We had seafood as starter. It was fresh and tasty. I ordered medium cooked lamb chops, I came medium cooked and lovely taste. For me, unfortunately less choices due to some food had already sold out.

Our favorite restaurants in Orpington and we go there often. The lobster dish is absolutely delicious and perfect for two people to share. The best we had for a lobster dish. Lots of good seafood dishes that you won’t find in other restaurants around here. The salads is delicious that even I who isn’t a big fan of salad like it. Their children menu is also good. We particularly like the nutritious and healthy fish and veggies dish for our son. He cleared the whole plate. Very friendly staff and chefs. The price is very good too for what you get. Highly recommend it.

Lovely restaurant....staff were charming.. Not in your face but knowledgeable and nothing too much bother. Lot of good choices for fish which was really nice. I had the prawns as a starter which was delicious followed by the skate.. Both I would have again. Wine reasonably priced too. Bought everyone out a complimentary dip and bread which was a nice touch.... One to try folks you won't be disappointed.
