Great food from Gabe. Had the curry goat and jerk chicken. Both great. Definitely recommend.

Joyful service, great with customers young and old. It is wonderful to have a small vendor selling exciting, well-seasoned food in Orpington. The jollof has serious flavour.....balanced heat, sweet and dry - coleslaw excellent too.

Had the jerk chicken and it was delicious. There was also a bit of curry on the side which was very well-seasoned. The meat on both was tender and fell off the bone. The owner was such a friendly guy to top it off. Will definitely be going back.

Food is amazing. Had curry goat which came with rice and homemade slaw and some plantain on the side. All was delicious and was served my the lovely Gabe with his huge smile and lovely music. His food standards hygiene rating is also excellent at a 5 (highest score). All round a win!

Online it said it was open, when arrived it was closed, no contact number! Waste of time!

...lovely carribean food - used to buy from this guy when he used to do monthly drop-ins in the city prior to covid (1 new change) and then bumped into him again at the local shopping centre ...definitely one of the best carribean food places put there (whether you go for curry goat or the chicken, you won't be dissapointed) ...though best get there early for lunch as the more popular dishes can run out later in the day!

Couldn't wait for some lunch today, but closed when we arrived at 12:15pm. 3 Very unhappy shoppers. Please provide a contact number so we can check it is actually open before we make the 15minute journey from the office. 30 minutes wasted.

Gabe's for lunch (takeaway only). Get there early for full selection (slightly smaller menu on Sundays). Food is great - Jollof Rice, Jerk Chicken, Lamb / Chicken Curry and Oxtail (when he does it). The owner is great, good customer service and such a friendly guy. Food is always great when we go and always good to see Gabe. Never had a bad meal and is good to have him there serving his food to add variety of food options to the long week. Support local.

I really wanted to like this! But I really didn't. I was really looking forward to trying Gabe's and in the end I was so disappointed. When I arrived they only had chicken curry and rice left. This was at half past 2 in the afternoon. No sides, no jerk chicken, no salmon nothing. The guy was nice to knock £2 off since I didn't get any options but I was still disappointed because I really wanted to try the jerk chicken. The chicken curry was grainy and I really didn't like the flavour. The rice and peas was bland. The jollof rice had a bit of flavour but was cold. Overall, I was gutted. I think that maybe I caught them on a bad day but from what I tasted, the food was nothing like the flavoursome, authentic afro-caribbean food I'm used to. It was just very average food.

Gabe's is a firm favourite of our family. Excellent Jollof rice, jerk chicken and goat curry with generous portion sizes and always a warm welcome. Overall, a happy guy serves delicious food in a food truck in the Nugent car park.

Highly recommend. I had jollof rice with jerk chicken. The guy also gave us a small amount of curry goat to try. It was all gorgeous, the meat was so tender, and soo flavoursome. Also had a really nice heat to it. The guy who served us who I believe owns the business was really lovely aswel. It was £10 for one which we shared, well worth the money though as you get a decent portion with good quality food. I Highly recommend this place. Me and my partner will have to get this everytime we pass its too good!

Amazing food. Really friendly guy. Had jerk chicken with rice and peas and chicken curry with a coleslaw type accompaniment. Huge portion for £10. Authentic Caribbean flavours clearly prepared and served with love and enthusiasm. Will look forward to next time I'm passing.

The guy is so kind and helpful trying his best to help his clients and the food is suberb. He also confirmed the chicken is halal. I will definitely come for the food again.

If you have not visited Gabes, you are missing out. The food is amazing as well as the coffee and the cake are unbelievable! I love this place. Visited here yesterday just by coincidence, what a lovely guy and when I say the food was amazing it was! Jollof rice with chicken curry was banging, the coleslaw was out of this world and the chicken wings were spicy and fell off the bone, absolutely 10/10. Very generous portions too! We will definitely be back! Even got us an extra table so we could sit and enjoy our food ♥️ Thank you!

Walked past and saw a big queue, jumped in and by God was it worth the wait, Had the Jollof rice with some curried chicken and some Jerk Chicken pieces. All of it was amazingly well seasoned, chicken fell of the bone and just melts in your mouth. Made my day, will definitely be stopping by when I come back! Michael (I believe that’s his name) is an absolute lovely guy, customer service is certainly not lacking. No pictures as the food did not hang around for long enough as I devoured it all!

Tried this place by accident as the place around the corner was not open as advertised. Delighted I did. It's a food van in the shopping centre car park. The queue for lunch was reassuringly long, and with good reason; the food was tasty and generously portioned. Curry goat was lovely, as well as the jerk chicken. It was served with jollof rice rather than rice and peas but that made a nice change. Really nice Owner too. If I'm in the area will be sure to pay him a visit again

Absolutely brilliant food that should be at a restaurant. So happy to finally find somewhere that does excellent quality Caribbean food that is genuine to how it should taste. Had the curry goat and was given some of the curry chicken to taste. Both had a lot of flavour and went great with the Jollof rice and slaw. Also got a portion of the jerk chicken wings and was surprised by how easy the meat came away from the bone. Thank you for getting the spice right, not like other places that serve bland food claiming to be Caribbean. Can't wait to go back when I'm next at Nugent!

Hidden gem in St Mary Cray if you're looking for a delicious bite to eat at lunchtime for a good price. I recommend getting the curry goat or jerk chicken. Always service with a smile!

You'd think a small coffee van in the middle of a retail park wouldnt be anything special nestled between a pret and a costa. However, this place is amazeballs. Great coffee. Awesome cakes and amazing Caribbean food all home made. The owner Mike is an absolute legend!

Lovely chai latte, amazing hot spiced apple, had non-dairy options for us, and the price was good too! We've come back twice for the amazing personal service and he made my week by playing Christmas music for me while I drank my spiced apple ❤️ Will be coming back Friday for the lovely vegan treats that will be on offer!
