Absolutely fabulous 👌 Staff is really, really kind,helpful, and if there's no rush, the owner stops and has a lovely time talking to you. Small bijou older worldly pub The food is awesome and there is lots on your plate . It's my favourite place to eat homemade comfy food. And more on the menue to choose from

This is one of those traditional country pubs that reminds me of how pubs used to be when I was a kid. Pubs never used to allow children in those days, and I remember sitting under the table in case a policeman came in! A traditional stone building, it has authenticity and character in spades. Dogs are welcome and it's a popular doggie pub from what I could make out. And the food! OMG! I thought I died and went to heaven, it was so divine. I had the steak and stilton pie and it was simply gorgeous, with proper chips and meat gravy. My only criticism, if there is one, is that the portion size is much too large. We simply couldn't eat all of it, despite really wanting to, and a lot of it was thrown away. I hate food waste, and this is perhaps something they could look at. A wonderful place that I intend to go back to again and again. Highly recommended.

We was here yesterday for food and drinks, and let me tell you fabulous atmosphere staff lovely, meals are huge but 😋 I even said to the farmers wife it was massive 😊 for what you get price's are reasonable for what we ate, lovely selection of fresh cooked food, for 3 of us 54 pounds and worth it nearly had to roll out good job we had 2 fur babies to help us out 🤣

What can we say probably the nicest Sunday lunch we have ever had. Massive portions and perfectly cooked meat. It's a shame we were too full to try the jam roly poly

Always hearty, homely and gorgeous !! The food is just another level and homemade. Such good quality and very reasonably priced too. Staff are lovely too. Very unique and quirky place.

Our local 'go to' for excellent pub grub. Never disappoints. Relaxed & friendly.

Went for a friend's birthday, Saturday 3rd March. The food was all freshly cooked and was delicious 😋 One friend and l shared the Fillet Steak for two there was crispy onion rings, tomato's, mushroom's, and chips, two sauces, peppercorn and blue cheese, (l don't like blue cheese but) this was yummy not overpowering. Plenty to share. Friends had homemade pies which I had a taste of and were also delicious and plentiful. Another friend had a roast dinner which due to popular demand they serve Wednesday to Sunday Would have loved to have tried some pudding but was just too full. Which means I will definitely have to visit again. The staff are lovely and friendly and Jay the chef came out to check we were all happy 😁 It is a small quirky pub with a lovely atmosphere, l do recommend that you book especially on a Sunday. Would definitely recommend 😄👍

Another great traditional Yorkshire pub. Outstanding in its quirkiness. Same landlord as it was 15 years ago when I was a regular.

We love the cosy atmosphere at the Robin Hood Inn and the delicious home cooked food. Staff are very friendly and seem to care about the fantastic service they deliver. It's a new favourite. After dining in we were able to order a take away pie to cook through at home for my husband when he came home from work. Absolutely faultless food whether served on site or away.

Myself and some friends called for Sunday lunch last Sunday. The food was delicious. I’ve been a few times and overall always had great service with very welcoming staff who have always been very accommodating.

Lovely, welcoming little pub. Great place to sit by the fire and enjoy a drink. The lamb in the giant yorkshire puddings and homemade chips were bangin'. Beef sandwich was a little disappointing. But overall, great service, and great to have a proper pub with proper grub. 🍻

Easily one of the best pies we have had in ages, all freshly cooked, no pre made then microwaved here, a busy little pub perfect for walkers and cyclist of the local area with a hearty meal at the end of the day, booking for meals is recommended

Had an excellent first visit to the Robin Hood,l having been invited by friends and locals who suggested the food was amazing! Unfortunately, the vegan pie wasn't amazing, it lacked any flavour at all. Everyone else was completely satisfied by their food, so it does just seem to be the pie that I had ... Possibly the dullest pie I had ever tasted. I'll definitely try the vegan roast next time and hope the pie can be improved ... Maybe i was just unlucky yesterday 😅

We went on a Monday no food available. Otherwise a very good pub plenty of atmosphere. Returned on Wednesday and Thursday food fabulous.

We stopped in for some drinks after a walk. We’d already eaten which was a shame as we heard it’s lovely food wise. Very nice stories from the locals.

Wonderful place! If you want to eat make sure to book, they were full however we were fortunate to be stood at the bar when someone cancelled their booking.....lucky us!!! The staff were lovely, the pub is quirky and homely and the food.....wow!!! Photos don't do the place justice! We had the giant Yorkshire pudding with sausages and the steak & ale pie (which is made fresh on site to order!!). All meals came with veg and potatoes....the chips were delish!! 10/10. Defo recommend!

We went for a Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. Beautiful location, attentive and helpful staff, and the food was incredible. The Lamb Henry was succulent and tasty, the veggies cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire puddings were delicious. We especially enjoyed the homemade Baileys ice cream, too. A delightful experience.

This pub serves the best Sunday roast ever, farming family serving their own meat you won't get better. Friendly staff , excellent service, we have been coming occasionally for years only because we live about an hour away, used to just turn up on a Sunday but those days have gone, have to book now. Our son lives in Cornwall and every time he comes home has to have a meal at the robin hood cragg vale

Beautiful meal, all home made. Slightly expensive at £14.50 for a pie meal but large portions and beautiful food, lovely people and great service.

Delicious food and lots of it, you certainly won't leave here hungry. Great beer prices too!! Lovely country pub! Will certainly be returning. 😊

Omg what a lovely place, finished food at 5.30 we arrived 5 45 they still served us. Sunday roast was to die for the food was 5* the service was excellent staff very friendly

I gave this 5 star purely for the ambiance and the welcome , step back in time ye olde pub , great selection of ales . You can sit outside . People popping in for a drink and banking the fire up , we didn't have the food ,we were recommended as we were staying on the caravan site just down the rd about 2o min walk ,at the time only open Thurs onwards we were there on Wednesday . A proper old fashioned pub. Beer, lager, wine and shorts. Little, cosy bar and a sunny (when it's out) little outside space. £3.60 for landlord... we didn't eat, so can't comment on that.

We had a Sunday lunch and it was delicious. The roasties homemade Yorkshire puddings beef creamy mash and beef gravy were great and the portions were very generous. It was served with carrots brocoli cabbage and cauliower . The Dutch lager was delicious too. This is a great quirky pub with a friendly fantastic atmosphere.

Nice village pub. Food looked good but kitchen had just closed when we arrived. Beer garden has nice covered area and comfortable seats. Also place to charge your phone.

Lovely lunch of Pork and stuffing pie and mash with wonderful gravy - yummy!

Fantastic. Beers were a steal. I had steak and stilton pie. Huge. Black pudding and haggis in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Even bigger. Couple of gorgeous deserts to finish. All in all. It was brilliant. Defo do it again. Thank you for a cracking bit of scran.

Best pie and Sunday dinner we have ever had! More than enough of a portion.. no need for dessert although they looked delicious too. Simple, lovely old pub with very friendly and happy staff with the big added bonus of very good ale that is cheaper than most pubs too! Well worth the visit and we will be back.

This place is great - it’s very cosy & welcoming and has a certain rustic charm. We had steak pies with chips - they were truly amazing and excellent value. The Guinness was spot-on too. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending The Robin Hood and will be glad to go back when we’re in the area again. 👍

WOW!!! Exceptional food!! The Lamb Henry's Yorkshire pudding was sensational and the mushroom pie was just pure delight. By far the biggest Yorkshire puddings I have ever seen! Even had to ask them how they do them and they took the time to explain and show the dishes they were cooked in. Proper home cooked style food with as many chips as you could wish for. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The service was amazing!! Made us feel like we were family. We were a large party of 14 and they catered to us amazingly. The value for money is also fantastic. The pub has a wonderfully cosy atmosphere!! Will definitely come back and go if you haven't been as you are missing out.

Went there for lunch yesterday and it's the cutest cosy old style pub ever... they don't make them like this any more. The staff are warm and friendly and OH MY GOD THE FOOD. I had a 3 meat roast and it was literally the best roast dinner I've ever had in my life. Big portions all home cooked and slow roasted, roast and mashed potatoes, yorkshires and a huge jug of spare gravy. Just amazing. Miss this place at your peril!

Adored this place, lovely cosy homely vibe, unpretentious but fabulous food: My friend had the steak & kidney pudding and I had the roast rack of lamb and both were excellent. I'll definitely be back!

Lovely food if you go at a quieter time you may get better, our visit was spoilt by waiting over 40 mins for food to arrive after waiting 15 to order, then told we needed to hurry up as they wanted the table… No one said when booking over the phone that no starters are served Sunday-we may have forgiven them that and next time visited another day, however, to then find out later on the same day our family members had ordered and been served starters… we won’t be going back

My family and i have just spent a very pleasant night at the robin hood. We stayed in the family room which was very comfortable and clean. The food was absolutely amazing huge portions and good value for money. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. What makes this pub is the staff from when we arrived to when we left they were awesome very helpful and pleasant nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Second visit in the last 3 months , Joanne the chef makes the best no nonsense food , plenty of choice , we booked our table and gave an indication of the food we would like as we where a walking party on both occasions , the food is made to order so expect at least 20-30 minute for your order , we had variety of food from roast beef to lamb henry , plenty of meat and lots of fresh veg. the food never disappoints the service was cheerful and welcoming , traditional public house .

Loved the ambiance, long wait for food as they were busy but it was so worth it, melt in the mouth rack of lamb and excellent home made Yorkshire puddings, proper roast potatoes. Can't recommend the food and value for money enough. Would advise advance booking as restaurant is small.

We walked up from Mytholmroyd for Sunday lunch to find a busy, energetic, small traditional country pub! A very pleasant and engaging young lady was serving Timothy Taylors on tap, with a couple of pales as well, very well priced wine selection, with discount when dining! But the highlight was the lamb roast dinner with Yorkshires! What a treat, served by a very pleasant and diligent young man! What a great find, highly recommended anytime!

Lovely friendly place, craggy Vale Festival was on, but the pub wasn't too busy. Serve a good pint, menu looked good but we didn't eat. Recommended

Charming and cosy pub. Large selection of drinks, which were not only cheap but the pints of Landlord and were excellent! Visited on a wet Saturday night and locals and staff were very friendly. Thanks to Roger behind the bar for giving us directions back to the campsite and chopping our walk in the dark and pouring rain in half 😊 Well worth a visit!

Great timeless traditional Pub with great staff and landlord

Lovely pub set on the longest inclined road in England. Great tasting beer. I can't comment on the food but by the looks of what was being dished out it looked great. There is a lovely looking beer garden with a big sheltered snug of a room with comfy seating.

Lovely welcoming pub with great food

Like stepping back in time 45 years! Away with the gloss & corporately crafted furnishings - instead a stripped back local, great beer and delicious food (including a magnificent choice of pies). Pretty unique these days.

Hired an electric bike to go round hebden, what a fantastic idea, poppes in the hood and had a great hand pulled pint. Went outside to be entertained by the local Morris dancers. This is the life, great weather, great beer, perfect day.

Don't like giving bad reviews but a bad experience and first impression goes a long way with me. I waiting a long time to be served while the inexperienced bar staff ignored me and proceeded to serve locals first, not even apologizing for the error. Then presented with two dirty wine glasses was the last straw. We had thought about booking Sunday lunch after reading good reviews about this place, but sadly after our unfortunate experience decided to try elsewhere.

This Inn is beautiful and the food is fantastic.
