Robin Hood in Enfield

Advertised as dog friendly. This is not the case. We ordered a drink and sat in the bar with our dogs under the table. Another dog came in and barked at our dogs, who barked back. We held on to them all the time. A member of staff came over and made us feel so uncomfortable about the barking, we ended up leaving our drinks and not ordering food. The other dog went off to sit in the restaurant, where we told we were not allowed to sit.

This pub is perfect for those who want to spend some time in peace surrounded by greenery, eating good food and drinking excellent cocktails. The garden is perfect for families with children. Recommended 🔝

Great friendly helpful service - we were served by Cee who gave helpful recommendations and was very attentive. We had the Sunday roast and the quality of the food was very good and fresh with decent portions.

Cee was an absolute star. She took our orders promptly and made sure we were all catered for. The food was absolutely delicious, best fish and chips I’ve had in my life. Fish was cooked to perfection. Definitely coming here again, my new favourite London pub.

Lovely ambience, called on the day and managed to book a table for 4 people for Sunday Roast, the food did take a little time to come as they were quite busy but was definitely one of the nicer roasts that I have had in the area, meat and trimmings were both superb. We will definitely be back for roast and also to try the a la carte menu. And a little shout out to our lovely waitress Cee, very attentive and pleasant!

my wife and i had batter and chips instead of the fish and chips that was on the menu ? it was the worst fish i have ever had in a restaurant My wife did not enjoy her meal either but did not want to make a fuss as it was my daughters birthday treat I tried to eat the fish by covering it with tomatoe Ketchup but still could not eat it the mushy pease were also uneatable tasted as though som chemical had been placed in them and for some reason theme came with health a gherkin. I took the meal to the counter and informed them i could not eat the meal i asked the manager about the fish i was informed that it was HAKE whatever that is this is the second time i have complained about the fish and chips at the robin hood as had the same terrible meal there about two years ago and vowed never to return TO THE ROBBING HOOD but decided to take a chance thinking that perhaps i would at least get Cod or Haddock FOR FISH AND CHIPS

Staff were really friendly... It's a new menu but food was outstanding 🤤🤤🤤 the hardest part was choosing what to have will have to come back for round 2 😉

Not good. Basic burger and chips not worth the money they charge. If you're going to charge £18 odd quid for a 'wagyu' burger it better be good and this definitely wasn't. Dry and tasteless. Dessert? That was a joke. Deconstructed Tiramisu? 1 sponge finger with a small dollop of cream and ice cream on top with a bit of chocolate and a espresso for £10?? It's not like you've even taken the trouble to make it! It seems some establishments are using the excuse of 'rising costs' as an excuse to charge customers over the odds for not very good. Seriously over £90 for 3 very average burgers, 3 not good deserts & 3 soft drinks?? Two stars because the service was good. We won't be returning.

A lovely roast with family. Couldn't fault the food, service or atmosphere. Would recommend anyone to try the roast pork.

Me & my friend stopped off at pub for a cuppa... We then decided to have a bite to eat...so glad I did I had the roast...sirloin beef...such a lovely roast... Have been a couple of times before in the week, lovely friendly welcoming staff, will definitely be returning.

Whilst we very happy with the food and staff our meal was spoilt by the loud music. We spoke to the waiting staff but they said nothing could be done. I have been to the Robin Hood many times in the past, but unsure if I will return whilst the music is this loud. When you go for a meal it’s nice to be able to enjoy a conversation.

We had lunch yesterday and the restaurant was not really busy. Yesterday was the start of their new menu which had a good selection. The service was good, the food was delicious, and generous. Unfortunately the flat iron steak, ordered by my husband, was really tough and was returned, immediately replaced with a lasagne, which was good. We will definitely be returning.

Max was far from your average server ,he was exceptional . When asked questions about menu and his personal preferences they were given without hesitation enabling me to be able to pick what I wanted to eat . Thank you max !

We booked in advance knowing it would be a very busy day. Food was excellent as always! Wait time was slightly longer than expected but it was mothers day! Staff were running round all day but we could not fault the service. Such a beautiful setting inside and out and can't wait to visit again.

Absolutely AWFUL. In the managements greed to fill place...they'd overbooked. We waited an hour just to be seated, service beyond slow. Food pretty grim. Everyone around us unhappy. Day ruined. Disgraceful

I don’t know what went wrong today, but the kitchen could not keep up with the orders and people were having to wait over 2 hours for food to arrive. We were lucky with our 1 hour wait for mains and 50mins for dessert! It was not great and the poor front of house staff were left to face many angry diners. The food however, was as great as usual, but why did they accept so many bookings when they couldn’t cater for them?! Such a shame for all the mothers on Mothers Day.

Disappointing Mother’s Day Experience Despite Polite Staff We visited this pub for the first time on Mother’s Day and unfortunately had a poor experience. The wait for the first course was 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 30 seconds. Concerned about further delays, we asked how long dessert would take and were told it wouldn’t be long. We ordered four portions of tofu pudding—nothing complicated—but waited 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 30 seconds for them. Yes, I timed it. The wait staff were lovely—polite and apologetic—but clearly under pressure and unable to do more than say sorry. The problem seemed to be entirely in the kitchen. Other customers looked just as frustrated, so it wasn’t just us. The pub has good reviews, so maybe this was just a bad day. Still, they need to sort out their kitchen staffing or processes. Right now, it’s not good enough.

We visited the pub yesterday for lunch. We were two adults and a child. I've been to this place before and remembered the good food and lively atmosphere. Having said this, yesterday was a real let down. Food service was very late. All of us ordered fish and chips , which took nearly an hour to arrive. I had to go and ask how long the food was going to take as the wait was too long. My daughter's starter was forgotten. Had I not remembered that I ordered a starter, it is unlikely staff would have brought the food. A group next to us ordered a burger and they waited over one hour to receive their food. Portions were small, so we were still hungry. When we wanted to order a desert, we were told the wait was over an hour. We decided to leave. I don't know if they were understaffed yesterday but I hope the service improves because you are losing money and customers.

Been here plenty times. It's a lovely place to relax especially on sundays with a wood fire to enjoy. Large garden. A larger selection of ales would make it 5/5 rating.

I had the loveliest time at this Pub a few weeks back. We had amazing service even though it was a big group of us for my friends birthday, which was very impressive. The chilli margaritas were soo good, bar standard and the price was reasonable. I had a full roast, 3 courses and everything was fabulous especially the starters. By the dessert I was a bit full up and I think I was being gluttonous (my fault). Will definitely be back, it’s great pricing for quality food/drink plus there’s free parking which is always a bonus.

Very average, we were a large table who were waiting a long time but they were short staff'd so understandable. 2 had the steak that was 80% fat not the best. The place is looking a bit dirty and old, definitely needs a lick of paint and a good clean.

Took my favourite Auntie out for lunch on a rainy Wednesday lunch. Quite a few people enjoying the food. A lovely warm welcome from Sharlee when we entered and we got a nice table by the window. Not a massive menu but we both really enjoyed our meals. I had the fish of the day which was a generous sea bass fillet with kale and new potatoes and a lobster sauce. My lovely Auntie had the chicken Milanese which again was a generous portion. Mandy was our lovely friendly waitress. I was greedy - couldn’t resist the chocolate Orange pudding which was a nice chocolate mousse with a soft orange centre topped by a mini profiterole with vanilla ice cream - yum! Very cosy comfortable interior and nice smoking “pagoda”. Really enjoyed our visit and the sun was shining when we left - perfect day with perfect Auntie

Brilliant place for a relaxing meal or drink! Came here for my birthday as I wanted a chill evening and can say we all had an amazing evening, the manager Georgina was super accommodating and can say I will now be a frequent diner here. Also lots of parking!

I am so impressed by this place. Been there 3 times so far with family and friends and what amazing food!!! So tasty and the service is brilliant. Such smiley friendly staff could not recommend this place enough. Price reasonable as well you definitely leave satisfied.

I love the Robin Hood, the staff are so friendly and helpful. I hosted a networking event in their private room space and it was brilliant. Again the staff were so accommodating and helpful and all go came enjoyed the space and atmosphere. Thanks to Mandy who helped me massively. Also stayed for lunch and had the most delicious soup! So warming and nourishing. Highly recommend this pub!! Thank you!!

Went on 25.01.25 for Burns Night. Burns menu fantastic for meat eaters and vegetarians. Staff super friendly and couldn't do enough Added bonus they even provided entertainment in form of piper and drummer. The haggis was paraded in and was then toasted . Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Roast this afternoon, the beef was delicious! Despite it being very busy, we were checked up on several times and the whole team including Max were super friendly. Only thing that could be improved was the temperature of the food, could have been hotter for my liking, but never the less I will be returning for a yummy roast again 😊

We booked for a Father of the Bride meal for 12 people and were looked after by Georgina Sian and Max who went out of their way to look after us. They set up the private dining room and were just amazing ensuring that we had such a memorable evening. It is is in times like these, where so many people are quick to write negative reviews that it is important to recognise the care and professionalism of the Robin Hood team. Delicious freshly prepared and a good varied menu choice. Try the Mangalore curry - 😋 flavours! Very tasty coffee selection. Sticky Toffee pud with custard my fav! Friendly and accommodating staff. I would visit again.

I pop in once a week for a drink with my daughter. We've eaten here a few times and the food is well prepared and presented. I just don't know how they can justify the price of their hot drinks when it is from a push-button machine.

Very rarely leave reviews but this restaurant deserves a special mention. The minestrone style soup with toast and cheese was delicious. However the service was so excellent by the 2 waitresses and 1 waiter we had. Beyond the call of duty. We were so grateful and its so rare these days. We sat near the beautiful fire in the conservatory.

Food is good, although the kitchen was clearly overrun on the day we visited as we waited about 45 minutes between starter and main.

My husband, our toddler (2yo) and I had a great New Years Eve dinner at the Robinhood during the family party this year - the food & drinks were great, the staff were so friendly, patient and accommodating, and dare I say it was one of the most relaxing meals out we've had with our toddler because there was plenty of fun to keep her entertained. Have never done a meal out for NYE before but loved this family activity, 10/10, will definitely book for next year too. (We also like this pub and pub garden during the rest of the year too!)

Started off lovely with nice guy serving us then the drinks order was placed and they took so long to arrive and tasted awful I had to adapt mine with soda water, food came and not much matched the descriptions for example BBQ chicken strips was breaded chicken stripes with a bbq dip on the side. I paid roughly £19 for burger and chips and it was the absolute minimum on the plate no garnish, no onion rings just that. We ordered more drinks and 30 minutes later still no drinks when they came the birthday girls cocktail had to be returned as it was awful. I then cleared the table and the staff kept telling me "you don't need to do that" but my problem was that no one else was doing it! Also the allegens menue did not have all the items on so not accurate which is very dangerous. Not going back a real let down from such a great looking pub. My bill for 5 adults and 2 kids was over £220 absolutely not worth it.

I visited in between Xmas and New Year arrived early and had our pick of seats for lunch. The pub filled up quickly thereafter and was quite busy. I ordered a warm chicken salad which was a lovely healthy option, tasty and the flame grilled chicken delicious. Staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. I had a lovely, relaxed time.

Went to the pub for a few drinks. The atmosphere was soooooo amazing couldn’t ask for better service. In particular Ethan was a lovely server helping my old parents with picking their drinks as they couldn’t read the menu!!!

Had a lovely pre-Christmas Sunday lunch. The staff were very attentive, particularly Miles! We will definitely be coming back :) Also, super dog friendly, even with a black lab puppy!!

Came here for the festive menu as a table of 6. Excellent service and really delicious food. The manager was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Also tried the mulled wine, really good!

What a lovely pub. Visited Crews Hill earlier and came for dinner with my family and my 3 year old. Service was impeccable, thanks so much to Tommaso! Was very knowledgeable and great with kids. Food was fantastic! Overall a really enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend.

Staff and service were excellent however, the music was far too loud. Asked for it to be turned down, was told it was the speaker, moved us, equally loud, couldn't hear ourselves talk. My beef was hard to cut and chewy. My partners pie was hot but the gravy served with it was cold and the broccoli/cauliflower cheese side dish was tepid. Couldn't be bothered to ask for it to be heated up as by this time I had a headache from the music/bad quality speakers and just wanted to go.

Went for a Sunday roast, quickly seated and I can’t fault the food or service, that was all great. Parking was easy. However, the only negative for me was the very strong smell of smoke throughout the pub from the fireplace. It actually smelt like a bonfire and was quite over powering. I had to put my clothes straight in the wash when I got home as they smelt like a bonfire. I am not sure if this was a one off or if that’s just how it smells during the colder months. Other than that, a lovely pub.

The Robin Hood was the venue chosen for the wake for about 50 people for a much love departed grandmother. The vegetarian buffet, including some creative desserts, was excellent, and the staff were delightful and attentive. Well done and thank you to the Manager Thomasso for making it all happen.

Great service. The staff, particularly Max and Mandy were so brilliant at making my mum who has dementia feel so comfortable. They sat us by the fire, re-arranged the furniture for us and took very special care of us. Mandy even suggested the lighter menu for my mum, which was absolutely perfect. Wow! The Christmas decks are so welcoming & cosy - love them. The atmosphere for Sunday lunch was warm and inviting. Roasts were on point. And the service by Max and Cee was brilliant as ever. I can never fault the service, especially as it’s obvious how hard they work.

We had a wonderful Sunday dinner! The beef roast was 10/10 and my Wagyu burger was UNREAL! The gents serving us today were super friendly yet professional and accommodated every request. Thanks a mil for making our evening so special! We will be back again

We had a wonderful visit to The Robin Hood in Potters Bar and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The pub itself is warm and inviting, with a great atmosphere. The standout for us, however, was the excellent customer service we received from Georgie. Georgie went above and beyond to explain the gluten-free menu options in detail, which was incredibly helpful and reassuring. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel so welcome. It’s rare to find such genuine care and knowledge when it comes to dietary requirements, and she truly made our visit special. The food was fantastic, and with Georgie’s guidance, we felt confident in our choices. We’ll definitely be back again soon! Thank you so much, Georgie, for making our experience so enjoyable. We made a late lunch booking on Saturday afternoon, we had great food and service. We were also very impressed with the care taken regarding my grandson allergies…he has dairy and soy allergies - they had excellent list of allergens in all meals. Georgie was very friendly and knowledgeable, she supported us exceptionally well - the meal came up with Allergy stick on it, so all staff were aware, and there would be no cross contamination - we were also given a card with all allergens in sauces, mayonnaise etc. Sometimes eating out can be a bit of a nightmare with allergies, but The Robin Hood made it so easy , we would recommend to anyone who has allergies in their family…. we will be back, thank you

Lovely pub! Loved the smell of the fireplace walking in and the warmth makes it very cozy. Our server for lunch was very friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Really took care of us. The reason for the 4 stars is I didn't enjoy all the cocktails. Some were not balanced or had no flavour. Otherwise would be five stars.

We ordered the Sunday Roast It was the best Roast dinner I had Eaton in a long time . The food cooked to perfection.Top end pub grub also an unusual twist like a dark coloured parsnip, lovely vegand fresh and massive Yorkshire puddings..The desert were also of a high standard . definitely be back

Visited yesterday for the first time in a few years. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, albeit a little on the warm side by the time it turned up. The service was excellent, I'd particularly like to acknowledge Eathan who was superb. He was very engaging and patient (4 children trying to order!) and explained everything about the menu when asked.

We recently visited Robin Hood restaurant and were so impressed with the level of care and accommodation provided. We had a guest in a wheelchair who needed a special meal preparation, and the staff went above and beyond, blending his main course to a perfect consistency so he could enjoy it without any issues. The food was served on time and was absolutely delicious – everyone was pleased with their meals. Huge thanks to the team for their kindness and attention to detail. Highly recommend this pub for anyone seeking a warm, inclusive dining experience!

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Robin Hood, which we chose as an example of a good English pub for two German friends. The whole experience was very pleasant and I thoroughly recommend it as a choice for a relaxed evening out. The service was exceptional, fast and friendly.

Great place to stop for lunch. I had the focaccia topped with flat-iron steak and caramelised shallots with a side of 'fat' chips, which was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, which made for a great experience....and the real fire was a nice touch!

Food wasn't anything special. Roast portions were small e.g. three roast potatoes, couple of carrots etc and wasn't served very warm. Others had burgers which were ok size but with small pot of fries and plates looked rather barren. Service was good and atmosphere was nice though with log fires butning

We go here often and it has a friendly atmosphere and a good range of beers and wine. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat or a full meal. We cannot recommend this place enough. A classic pub with great staff. The pub is also dog friendly as well.

Have eaten here a few times and every time our experience has been made by the slightly older waitress, who is extremely understanding and considerate and who has gone out of her way to get us seated. Food wise the veg and desserts are better than the meat but all in all it's a pleasant place to eat.

Lovely place , food nice , we had a birthday dinner there… we asked for a receipt, left the money on the table and as no one showed up at our table for next 5 mins we decided to leave and once we were by exit door waitress asked us loudly from the bar “ have you paid ?! “… awkward . Look after your customers, check their tables and don’t ask such stupid questions in front of other customers as no one comes to such place to eat for free . Poor customer service
