Visited yesterday for the first time in a few years. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, albeit a little on the warm side by the time it turned up. The service was excellent, I'd particularly like to acknowledge Eathan who was superb. He was very engaging and patient (4 children trying to order!) and explained everything about the menu when asked.

We recently visited Robin Hood restaurant and were so impressed with the level of care and accommodation provided. We had a guest in a wheelchair who needed a special meal preparation, and the staff went above and beyond, blending his main course to a perfect consistency so he could enjoy it without any issues. The food was served on time and was absolutely delicious – everyone was pleased with their meals. Huge thanks to the team for their kindness and attention to detail. Highly recommend this pub for anyone seeking a warm, inclusive dining experience!

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Robin Hood, which we chose as an example of a good English pub for two German friends. The whole experience was very pleasant and I thoroughly recommend it as a choice for a relaxed evening out. The service was exceptional, fast and friendly.

Great place to stop for lunch. I had the focaccia topped with flat-iron steak and caramelised shallots with a side of 'fat' chips, which was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, which made for a great experience....and the real fire was a nice touch!

Food wasn't anything special. Roast portions were small e.g. three roast potatoes, couple of carrots etc and wasn't served very warm. Others had burgers which were ok size but with small pot of fries and plates looked rather barren. Service was good and atmosphere was nice though with log fires butning

Have eaten here a few times and every time our experience has been made by the slightly older waitress, who is extremely understanding and considerate and who has gone out of her way to get us seated. Food wise the veg and desserts are better than the meat but all in all it's a pleasant place to eat.

Lovely place , food nice , we had a birthday dinner there… we asked for a receipt, left the money on the table and as no one showed up at our table for next 5 mins we decided to leave and once we were by exit door waitress asked us loudly from the bar “ have you paid ?! “… awkward . Look after your customers, check their tables and don’t ask such stupid questions in front of other customers as no one comes to such place to eat for free . Poor customer service

Had a very disappointing experience on this occasion at The Robin Hood. We wanted roast chicken but were told they didn't have any left, so ordered roast beef instead. The food was cold, the roast potatoes were hard and disgusting. The Yorkshire pudding was so hard you couldn't cut it and the red cabbage was awful. The jug of gravy was also cold. I complained and the manager took it away and brought another one out which wasn't any better. The only thing that was was nice was the meat. The manager deducted the roast dinners off our bill.

We went to the Robin Hood Enfield on Friday 9th August. It was my son and I and we wanted to have a quick pub dinner in a nice setting. We had mains and desserts. I ordered the crab salad and my son ordered the fish and chips. Before ordering I asked the waitress if the crab salad was enough for a main course and she replied ‘yes definitely’. She did mention that I could add prawns or chicken to it but looking at the prices the salad was already £15.50 and adding anything would have pushed it to the £20 mark so I opted not to. When it arrived it was unrecognisable as a crab salad. It is in fact a potato salad. I struggled to find any crab at all. There were a few flakes that looked like they had come out of a can on top but I really do mean a tiny few flakes and they had no taste of crab at all. The rest of it was purely just potatoes. It was not a main course size but then I haven’t seen their starter size! In any event I could not have eaten any more potatoes in one course. My son had the fish and chips. Now, this is a pub. Pubs have a reputation for fish and chips that is normally one large battered piece of cod with a large amount of chips and normally some salad. Instead he got two very small pieces of fish and a handful of chips. When you looked at the plate, you saw more plate than main course. The tartare sauce tasted very much of Heinz salad cream with some herbs thrown in. Still hungry we now tried to decipher the dessert menu to guess what we would get. We both opted for the cherry pie. It was just wrong. The pastry was like a pork pie in a circle and inside it tasted of cherry jam. You would expect a slice of pie packed with black cherries as it was called a black cherry pie. The coffee was nice. The Pepsi max was okay and not too watered down as can happen in pubs. All in all it was a very disappointing meal and we spent £60! That is £30 a head and we only had a poor main and the cherry pie with two cokes and flat white. Just ridiculous. The worse thing is the pub is a lovely setting and the staff are quite efficient. So why does it have to be let down by such a poor chef and to charge those ridiculous prices? I will never eat here again. If you want to dine out in a pub in Enfield then you would be better off at The Gyphon in Grange Park. I hope the Robin Hood has a complete rethink about its dining offering.

Service was pleasant and speedy. No issues with my request to change my order slightly. Seems unfair to put service as 1 star, however it's the only way I can reflect our experience. The pub and food itself are good and actually the staff were (except one) very professional and good service. However I think its important I highlight an issue we experienced which contributed to our time at the pub. A lovely young girl was serving us our food and drinks, absolutely no issues with her service, she was polite and had a smile on her face. However an older lady came to assist, and the manner that she spoke to the younger girl left us all feeling extremely uncomfortable and honestly disgusted. The girl had brought the food out looking at the tables, we were 222 and the table next to us 223. She checked which one was which and for some unbeknown reason this really bothered the older lady. She shouted at her in, infront of us all "that's 222, thats 223, open your eyes" and walked off. This is not how I'd expect staff to be spoken too, let alone infront of customers. We made a point of saying at the time "wow that was a bit much" she didn't acknowledge us. When the young girl came back I asked if she was OK, she began to cry. My heart broke for her, she did not deserve to be spoken to in that way, the older lady was bullying her in my view. I asked for the manager when I left, and explained what happened. He was upset and said he would deal with it, I have since found out that it was infact his wife who spoke to the staff member in that way. I do hope he addressed this matter in a professional way leaving aside personal relationships. This has totally put us off visiting what is a lovely pub.

Where do I start? Ran out of roast chicken. Service for the mains was slow. Pork was mostly fat & was cold. Crackling wasn't crackling, it was chewy. Wife's Yorkshire was hard & chewy. Roast parsnips were not roasted, they were soft almost as though microwaved. They missed out my Yorkshire (doubt I would have liked it anyway). Finally, not as filling as you'd expect a roast dinner to be.

This review is no reflection on the food served here, which was lovely or the staffing who all seemed very polite and friendly, but unfortunately the reason I am posting this very negative review is due to the appalling social distancing measures I experienced here today. We were seated at a table for 2 persons right next to another much larger group who were sat at the two adjacent tables next to us , they had around 5- 6 children with them in addition to a number of adults who appeared to be all family and friends but avoiding the government rule of 6 only. Due to them being located at two different tables, they all seemed to be shouting over to one another to communicate, meaning we had to endure a lot of unwanted conversation. Now, why I understand children will be children and don't know how to apply the social distancing guidelines. There just appeared to be no measures taken whatsoever from anyone, with the children running around the tables next to us (non masked) and one of the adults even turning his chair around to the side of his own table leaving his back practically right next to us until I protested. The main table they were seated around was located in the middle of the floor and clearly not 2 metres away from our own. Another adult got up out from her chair at one point to stand right behind me (again without the use of any face mask) in order to take a picture of the bar code located on a nearby post applying a discount from the pubs app. Later two of the young girls aged around 7 - 8 years got up leaving their own family to play at an empty table nearest to the window climbing all over it, which I very much doubt will be disinfected for when the next persons arrive to sit there ? We came in for a nice quiet meal but were completely drowned out by noisy children and very inconsiderate adults who were with them. There were quite a few other empty tables around, so I really dont understand the reasoning of seating us all so close together. Plus I did note when booking online that we would be bringing a walking frame so presumably thought you would understand we would like a little space due to a vulnerable adult, but nevertheless presumed we would at least get our 2 metres- as per government guidelines. Obviously not! I feel at the very least the pub have a responsibility to explain to their customers the rules they are to abide by in order to keep everyone safe, and occasionally check around to see they are being adhered to as they did on my last visit. This pub I now would consider a very high risk and would suggest avoiding it at all costs.

As we were again a large party and the conservatory wasn’t available this time we were in the private Maid Marian room which was perfect for us. Mandy and all the staff looked after us very well. We enjoyed the food and again had a lovely time. I highly recommend The Robin Hood pub. My family celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday lunch in the lovely conservatory overlooking the garden. 15 of us each chose different dishes and we were all very impressed by the excellent quality of the food and presentation. Compliments to the chef. I had looked at lots of unsuitable venues but when we saw this pub and chatted to Shelby about our booking I knew I could relax knowing this was the perfect venue. 10 of Feb Soon as I come in, guy in his late 40s says: the garden is now closed, and dogs are allowed inside only, I said I appreciate it however last time we stood BY the garden and it was quite nice view due to the view and he said no, you can’t is not possible despite not being reserved or busy even A different waiter in her 20, arrives, despite being quick with orders and asking if we got everything , Asked who ordered and I said here! Followed by, my second plate! She goes: “good for you” and then left, I didn’t expect an attitude as I’ve been friendly and respectful She answered like she had enough of it despite not saying much to her, definitely needs a break Now the cherry on top, it happend to also be my birthday and the guy that initially greeted us and refused to let us sit by the garden said: Oh! I saw is someone’s birthday, whose birthday is it? I said mine, Without even thinking he said are you 37!? 38? I said jokingly 35 And my family member said he is actually 29 But yeah the experience this time combined with previous experience where the steak wasn’t edible to eat, I was chewing for 10 minutes until I had to throw it away I will not return anytime soon, shame as the chain is good in most places, the place itself is nicely decorated, with lights however, the atmosphere from the staff is lacking to say the least Summary Garden closed for dogs Rude staff Staff mocking my age Food it depends what you order Not giving you a choice where to sit despite having reservation, etc

Sunday roasts aren’t what they once were, we used to enjoy the lamb shank in this place but that’s come to a stop now, it’s a shame as this was one of the few (only?) places in Enfield you could have a generous lamb roast. The portions have also become smaller over the last couple of years too sadly for all roasts they do. That being said it’s still one of the better places to go to in the area or Sunday lunch. Service is hit and miss, we felt forgotten about the last time we were there and had to keep going to the bar to order, but other times some of the staff are helpful so it depends on the day. Staff here have always been friendly though, even if service can be slow sometimes. The improvements and renovations to the place have been great, it’s more spacious, has a great garden, a warmer conservatory area (thanks to the more sealed glass work they did), but I do wonder if it’s come at a cost which they’re trying to recoup on the food/drink.

Only downside is portion size on Sunday roast, the red cabbage was amazing but it was exactly one level fork's worth, would be nice to have a little bit more of the sides as they're really good. Little bigger portions of veg would make it the best roast in Enfield! Good selection if veggie options too. Will be back either way and deserts were fantastic :)

I chased again today, 2nd Jan, only to be told they couldn’t cater for that many people. I could have been told this weeks ago. So my review is really about the lack of customer service, and complete disregard for customer enquiries.

Had to go and find a server to clear our starter plates after about an hour, then found another one a little later to ask what had happened to our mains. It was quite busy but that isn't really an excuse for slow service. One other small point. We paid £7.50 for a sharing starter of duck croquettes. I was disappointed to receive THREE croquettes. Went for a Sunday Roast. The welcome was friendly and the serving team were all good. Food was a let down though, pretty basic. I love going around London hunting for the best roast but the Robin Hood fell short.

Went for a nice sunday roast not been here in years and wow what a roast was amazing the food was so good and atmosphere was great, one of our party had allergies but we spoke to one of the staff Jessica and she went above and beyond to help us and make sure we enjoyed our meal and time and the pub and understood all our needs. Will definitely be back soon for sure.

We visited The Robin Hood for Sunday lunch today and the waitress was so rude, miserable and basically unhelpful that we left and didn’t even order drinks. Will not be returning.

It's been over a month but I still occasionally think about the Bratwurst butty I had. I think it was an Oktoberfest special and it was so good. Nice to have something a bit different than the usual pub grub. Gorgeous garden.

I have visited this venue for over 30 years (as far back to the days when the small area to the right of the bar was a separate dining room and silver service was provided by men dressed with white shirts and black bow ties). Sadly on my latest visit I had worst meal ever. The vegetables were over cooked to the point of mush and had obviously been kept under a heat lamp - and this was around 1pm when things should have been fresh. I have no complaint with the service. I think part of the problem is with difficulties in getting kitchen staff. The main problem lays at the door of brewery, the dictated menu is too big for even a fully staffed kitchen to be able to cook to order and to a high standard. Reduce the menu to a manageable offering that can be cooked fresh and to a high standard (knock on benefit would be a reduced outlay on produce costs, less waste and increased profit margins AND happier customers).

Decent pub to go to for food. Most of the dishes I have had have been pretty tasty but they can vary in size, so if you have an appetite sides are recommended. The dishes seem to be trying to be a bit more fancy than your average pub but this can mean they aren't as hearty. The pie and the lamb shank (Sunday lunch only, I think, otherwise it was a special as I haven't seen it since) have been my favourites.

Shame as this place had potential! Everything is overpriced and average tasting Portions are for mice. My kids meal was bigger. Than my Sunday roast, I was really upset and starving when I left after a hefty bill. Rubbish and the staff well the seating lady was rude u unhelpful and we had to wait to order and to pay so we had to keep going up. Spoons would have been a better choice

I was very impressed with all of the staff. They were very considerate of individual needs, but equally sensitive and discreet-exceptional! Thank you.

We chose the cod loin meal as we wanted a change from a normal Sunday roast. It was described as having a lobster bisque but the sauce bore no resemblance to a lobster bisque unfortunately. It was a bland brown liquid with no flavour. The green beans were very undercooked and the dish was not worth £18. Disappointing.

Went to an amazing art class held at the pub. I learnt so much about painting including I'm not as bad as I thought! Excellent teacher and a very helpful assistant.

A lovely pub! We ordered the vegan burrata as a starter (it was excellently seasoned. We were so impressed with the thought put into that dish), a chicken & leek pie and their vegan burger plus 2 draught beers. All items were delicious. Creamy, buttery mash, excellent gravy and a very nice pie. The fries with the burger were nicely cooked and fluffy on the inside and the burger was good. I was so happy to stumble upon this place after other local pubs had no appealing vegan options. You can tell they’ve really thought about their menu here. Nice interiors and a relaxed atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back! Average price for a main is about £15, good portions and everything was cooked well. Dog friendly too! 2 draught beers, a tea (teapigs), 1 starter and 2 mains came to £52.

Brilliant local boozer. If we were rugby balls the local lasses would of been all over us to fulfill their desires. Brilliant pub which could tell many great stories

I love Jolly Farmers. It is my local and the staff are lovely. The menu keeps changing, don’t know why. Last night I struggled to pick something that i liked and when i did it was disgusting hence I didn’t pay. Whoever in the company changes the menu needs to be sacked. We used to go there at least 3 times month as a group but we wont be going again.
