Toasties are average, bordering on not great. One star removed for not having regular cups, only single use paper ones.

found this lovely place while passing chalk farm station, the staff was nice and friendly, got a egg&avocado sandwich for my breakfast and I enjoyed it :) they also have cinnamon and chocolate powder you can add on top of your coffee! （the only improvement I would say is that the table could be wiped and organised more often as there were some crumbs on it）

Great community spot in Chalk Farm. I got served by two lovely ladies despite the woman who came in before me being extremely rude and provocative. She said she would leave a bad review for an irrational issue, so read other reviews with care. It’s a shame some people don’t know what bad reviews can do to the reputation of independent local businesses. I appreciate the good lovely service and great coffee, working in hospitality is hard and customers like the one they had to deal with make it harder!

Arrogant, inattentive service. Rude treatment an all factors. When I asked a lady on a till to take my order, she was so unhappy. She started rolling eyes and making faces. Moreover, after I paid for my order she wished me a most terrible day ever in front of my 4 year old child. Not sure if owners are aware on how the staff treats the clients but If I were him/her, I would fire those two ladies in a blink.

My darling found this place for our coffee slash snack . After our walk along the canal from Islington But as I didn’t feel like a cofffe but we both we’re hungry we decided to opt for a sandwich each 1 nudja and the other mixed cheese These were both so bloody good the cheese was a perfect taste made with love and affection ,one can tell the difference. And we were served polite and happily by a very jolly lady. Can’t recommend the sandwich’s high enough toasted I guess if you have the toast symbol in your logo it better be good. We will be back next time we are in the area to sample the cofffe . And mostl likely another cheese sandwich! Welldone roastery and toastery

The coffee is excellent and well-balanced, which makes a huge difference. The service is great, very welcoming, and the team is super nice. They have a nice assortment of sandwiches, cakes, and croissants (sweet and savory), but I always go for the "Ham it up!" sandwich. If you are a toastie lover, this is the place for you.

What a charming place! Very small but lovely! We had breakfast there and we enjoyed ourselves, cookies, cappuccino, matcha tea, everything was delicious! Special mention for the cinnamon roll 😋. And a very warm welcome too! We are going back with great pleasure!

Never written a review before- but this cafe was worth it. One of the friendliest but professional staff interactions, and coffees I’ve had in a long time! Much better coffee roast and latte balance than in most cafes I’ve been too - including specialty coffee locations. Lovely selection of fresh bakes too. 10/10 local gem

The location of this modest cute place is superb, the vibe is lovely. Pretty busy in the morning at quite reasonable prices on beverages too. Unfortunately the coffee was inadequate, and the staff might just be too overwhelmed to be friendly / making good drinks. My coffee was super watered down, and the beans they used was probably not very good to start with, very disappointing.

I loved their food so much that as soon as I finished my meal, i planned to come back again the next day. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and it’s a nice spot to sit and eat or drink some coffee. If you go right around when they open you can enjoy your food at the counter in the shop window, watch the passersby, and have a lovely morning. I’d go every day if I could.

Rude, unfriendly and hostile staff. The way one of them women was talking to me was like she was an 8 year old who doesn’t know how to have a civilised conversation. Also they don’t inform you of anything and acted as if I was bothering them somehow :/ really weird people.

Their roast is really poor, especially the bags - acrid dark roast, oxidised, really unpleasant. The croissant was the worst I've had in a long time - no crisp, had picked up savoury odours and flavours from something else clearly. Avoid.

One of the cutest little cafés I've been to in London. Delicious coffee, delicious toasties, and the lady who runs it is an actual angel. Highly recommend.

Oh, wow! My new favourite place for coffee and lunch. I moved into my new art studio a few minutes away from this cafe, and I must say they serve the BEST coffee in the area (maybe even in London?) and their toasties are to die for. I'll definitely be back for more! The place is tiny, but very atmospheric and the lady behind the counter (the owner most likely?) was so, so nice. Very homey, positive vibes :)

Walking along the road from Camden Market towards Chalk Farm brought me to the tube station area. at the side of that building, I found this cozy little cafe. Which has 3 yellow tables outside on the sidewalk. There were about 3-5 more seats inside. A real small and beautiful place. They make the toasts on site from scratch. Next to the coffee machine was a large selection of vegan milk such as nut milk, almond milk, soy milk and oat milk. Until it was my turn to order, I saw the girl who works there, preparing a sandwich for the customer who was standing in line before me. Its looked yummy. I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk. The coffee was served in a recyclable cardboard cup. I sat outside in the sun, enjoying the delicious coffee.

I visited London weekly for a year, and my college was in chalk farm, and I was lucky enough to pass Roastery and Toastery every day when I was in London. It was truly the highlight of my time in London to visit the wonderful staff at this café. I truly cannot say enough good things about these wonderful people, the staff are genuinely incredible!

I got a croissant for £2.80 at 10 am today. It was not fresh. It was from yesterday. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately they were out of the vegan sandwich option, so I had a raspberry almond cake instead, which was good. The orange juice definitely was not freshly squeezed (or at least mixed with packed oj).

I was walking past the store having just come out the station and was immediately drawn to the smell of toasties. I was hungry at the time, and the name roastery and toastery sealed the deal for me. The staff were very friendly and there were good options to choose from. I went for a ‘Ham It Up’ and oh my GOD it was good. The ham is really good quality, also has some really nice cheese and spring onion. I will definitely be back, and will be mentioning this store on my radio show next week! Thank you team! Lovely place! The food we tried, both savoury and sweet, was delicious. Good price and staff was lovely. My favorite was the ham and cheese croissant, warm, crispy and so good! We've just moved to this area so we will be coming often!

Great cup of quality commuter coffee - Didn’t try the toastie. I left my wallet down the road on Friday Where a person found and kept it for me safe. They passed it into these kind people’s hands, Like a leather baton in a relay race Where the finish line is me smiling. The menu says peyton and Byrne bread but I was disappointed our toasties turned out to be ordinary two slices of white bread with too much low quality cheese. £9.20 for two toasties was not worth it! We saw customers outside the shop having nice looking well toasted bread, not white sliced bread, it looked appealing so we went to order and expecting the same bread as it’s advertised on the menu all their bread is peyton and Byrne, but it wasn’t and we were not even asked if we wanted white or brown bread. It’s false advertising, please provide what you advertise otherwise warn your customers if you run out of your stock, not impressed and won’t be returning.

Best toasties I’ve bought. I always find it tricky to buy toasties and went through a long stood of not buying them because they were always disappointing. Either not enough cheese or other flavours, or not toasted well enough. The R&T toasties however, have the perfect amount of cheese and flavours. Recommend the R&T house toastie or the mushroom sourdough toastie. Bonus is the customer service has always been the best. Really friendly and helpful staff in a cute and cosy location.

Small, friendly little place for a boost of caffeine or a bite of fresh baked items. Always served with a smile. Fairly quick with a few seats if needed. Presented in disposable cups even if sitting in.

Expected a great toastie (which I definitely got - whatever cheese they use is excellent) but what I didn’t necessarily expect was great coffee. Flat white was a perfect blend of milk and coffee with lovely nutty notes. Also love the 1930s vibe shopfront. Will be back.

The best place for everything! The Frenchie and Reuben sandwiches are fantastic and the coffee is the definitely the best in the area. Even things like the juice and pastries are amazing!

Wonderful, consistently good and hot coffee. Super friendly staff and good atmosphere. There is a cute board for patrons to leave sticky notes, which I find to be a warm welcome. I also have a frequent customer card, and am close to a free coffee!!! Highly recommend this place if you're in Camden, or coming off the Chalk Farm tube station.

Really Superb Coffee and Truly Fantastic Toasties. I used to get my coffee from “Taylor Street” (best in London), and I really rated the coffee I had from here. They also offer a select range of alternative milks. The “FRENCHIE” Toasty I ordered was richly flavored, and I was NOT disappointed. This is a small place which punches above its size, and that is solely due to the dedication of the staff.

I like to try new places everytime I step out! The place looked breezy and pretty so I hopped while heading to Primrose Hill! They didn’t have the mint iced latte I was looking for thus went for the nutty one! It was hot, so really needed a yum latte! Maybe I expected a lot from the place. The latte tasted a little bland and salty for some reason as if the almond milk had gone bad! The serving is very small for 3.50£ and I also took a lemonade which I tht would be a freshly prepared thing but instead was a small store bought can which was over priced too and extremely sweet! The place is known for toasties, which unfortunately I didn’t try but the coffee was really sad! It was first iced latte of the season and certainly a bad start! Food is really important to me and after spending the amount I tht I should have just gone some place else. But you can never know about it unless you try so good learning for future!

The best toast I've ever had! I went in London just a couple of days before the spread of the Covid-19 and I had breakfast there before going to Camden Town. The bread was very crispy, the fill inside incredibly tasty and these flavours are my best memories of all my long-weekend trip.

Was just saying I needed a hot drink when I walked around the corner and saw Roastery and Toastery. A friend treated me to their French toastie and it was divine, honestly so amazing I was blown away. I was also treated to a small spiced apple and rhubarb cake which was equally divine. The owner who was serving us was so lovely and made our visit so enjoyable. 100% recommend!

This place is such a little gem. The sandwiches are divine and the people who work here are so friendly as well. It is my favorite Friday treat!

I'm not in London that often but when I am I seek this place out. As a committed and frequent coffee drinker, I'll happily say this place does the best coffee I've drunk in London if not the UK. The guy behind the counter knows his stuff.

Small local business and that does a really good coffee. I quite enjoy their cappuccino and its right next to chalk farm station. They do muffins and other morning delights. Grab a tea or coffee for your journey!

My favorite coffee place in the area - not only coffee and toasts are supreme quality, the staff is so nice, friendly and human, it’s touching! And atmosphere inside is very cute - they have made a very good use of the tiny space and the wall if posters and post-its is an amazing touch!

This bijou+basic pitstop aside the station sticks to the territory their name advertises with little in the way of digression. I did not eat here. The flavoursome coffee surprised, punching above its weight and bound to stir it up in an area wilting on past laurels. Service is pleasant. They roast it, toast it and can boast it.

Wonderfull service - the person who served me was really kind and of good advise. Coffee was great, and I tried their chocolate fondant tartelette, which is to die for!
