Simple little cafe that sits on the road coming into St Combs serving mostly locals. Nice friendly staff that came over to offer free coffee refills. Homemade soup, nice toasted sandwiches, and home baked cakes. It’s attach to a community church. Has clean and tidy loos for customers and a stunning beach is a short walk away. Recommend.

We were just driving along the coastal trail intending to turn at Fraserburgh but kept going until it was Peterhead one way and St Combs the other. We chose St Combs and will definitely be back. Great lunch at Roads restaurant, with friendly staff and locals and a gorgeous beach, even in October.

This is a lovely place to have in our community. The only place you'll get chicken and peach sandwiches and they are the best! Lots of other fillings available. Great range of soups and fine pieces or puddings to follow. Cosy place for all the family.

I would recommend it for coffee mornings and for dinner as my experience was lovely. It lies near a long beach and the village is off an old fisher community and still retains that apperance. There is a fish and chip shop and an icecream shop that is highly recommended. It is around four miles from Fraserburgh.

St Combs is an out of the way place, so it was all the more pleasing to find wonderful, home-made food for lunch. The Broth (soup to sassenachs) was so full of vegetables and barley, a fork might have been a good idea. And although quite full, we somehow managed to find room for Pear Crumble and Custard -- I'm still salivating! Well worth the detour!!!

After walking from Inverallochy to St. Combs, we were ready for a break so stopped here for lunch and a sweet. Everything is home made and there are refills on the coffee. The hours are limited - when we were there, 10:30 to 3:00 Tuesday through Thursday.

So pleased this place was open during the quiet season. I've never passed without stopping off some some food. The staff are lovely and on my visit before this one, I was on the motorbike and I was experiencing the British summer.....sheltering from the torrential rain the time passed by quickly thanks to a friendly fella manning the gift shop and some nice food. This time I just made it in time for a full breakfast - very welcome after being blinded by low level morning sun all the way from Inverness then dodging the ice in minus 6 degrees C once I hit the ski roads. Bloody marvellous! proper sausage, the black pudding was really tasty and everything was hot. I managed to bag an extra fried egg after many apologies from the lady serving me that the chef had managed to burst my yolk twice so they put both on as an a sorry. I ordered a black coffee which was one of those espresso machine jobbies I really hate for their harshness but this was pretty god. I didn't realise they did cafetieres until the very well spoken gent on a nearby table asked for one! Next time then. Love this place, makes the dreadful quality of the roads seem worth it...in such a remote area it's a gem and the prices are good, too!
