Had an amazing breakfast with Halwa puri and desi chai. Amazing staff.

1 partha and 2 fried eggs and a cup of tea for £10.00 , that's way too expensive, I understand inflation but this is a ripp off .

The food itself wasn't bad. I kept it simple and just had a lamb curry with a few naan and a drink. So I've eaten now and i want to pay the bill. There is no one at the till. The guy came out the back and I told him politely if I could settle the bill. He ignored me and walked away. 😂. I'm thinking to myself does this guy even want the money or shall I just walk out the door. He just kept disappearing. One of my best friends was with me so I was trying my best to be civil. Wallahi, no word of a lie it took him about half an hour to take payment. What an absolute clown 🤡. Have I been back since? The answer is Y..... NO.

Good food - Authentic homemade tast, will be back :)

This was the worst biryani I've ever had. I ordered a takeaway biryani deal, and everything about it was disappointing. The chicken was completely mashed up, the raita had an unpleasant smell and taste, and the Shami kabab was inedible—one half was hard as a rock, while the other half was mushy and had a terrible odor. The only redeeming part of the meal was the cold drink. I won’t be ordering from here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This food doesn't come close to capturing the authentic taste of Pakistani cuisine.

Excellent service and food I would highly recommend this food place well done to the staff specially to the chef she is brilliant and her food and the taste is just a wow 👌 👏

Yummy food I had the paratha kebab wrap meal, now I'm a regular :) freshly made there and then, friendly staff as well. I definitely recommend it :)

Ordered two portions halwa puri. Received one halwa (should of been two portions) and one channa (should of been two portions) and one aloo bhaji (not ordered). If they had run out then they should of been upfront and explained instead of omitting items and substituting without an explanation. Poor service and wrong order after over half an hours wait. Best to avoid this place.

One of the best halwa pori I have ever eaten.

Ordered the loaded box meal, and it was disgusting, loaded fried were not loaded, it was the hardest chips with sauce on it. Wings were tastless and pink inside, and the burger was overcooked amd dry. Milkshake was split and horrible. Stay away unless you want food poisoning!

I went to this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. The Paya was breaming of oil. No taste at all. My friend who recommended this restaurant commented that this was not like it was the last time. Complete let down! Won’t be coming here again.

One of the best food place.I've been living in the UK for 2 years but never ate this type of Paya until I tried it at this shop. I suggest everyone try the Paya from this shop at least once in their life. 🙂

I guess Rizouq is one of the best catering place for desi food in Reading area. I highly recommend it.

Went here for breakfast with my family. Food was spot on and tasted very nice, fresh and fulfilling. One of the best Pakistani breakfast places in Reading for sure. One thing they can improve on is service as was little slow but overall a great spot for halal customers and ones who want to try a bit of desi food. 4/5

Good for desi nashta. Halwa puri and Chai was good. Serving size was good but served in a single platter style with no plates etc. We had to share food among ourselves by reaching hands over each others which was not great with kids. The cleanliness of tables and floor was not good. I think next time I might prefer as a take away.

A very nice family run restaurant providing excellent quality Indian and Pakistani foods. Their behaviour is very friendly and its a great option for take away, or dining in.

Very poor hygienic conditions. Sitting area was not cleaned properly when went for breakfast this morning. The sitting area was freezing cold.The presentation of food was very substandard. Customer service was poor. We will never ever go back there. Very poor.

Amazing experience, we are always on the hunt for authentic Pakistani food and we are so glad we found this place. Upon entering we were not sure what to choose off the menu, the lady behind the counter told us they make dishes fresh everyday and suggested we try the lamb karahi and briyani. It was absolutely amazing and reminded both my husband and I of back home. We were also told that the breakfast is very popular so we will definitely be back to try it on the weekend.

Best halwa puri and Pakistani food in town!

I would like to give a better review with more stars, but I just can't. I do believe if they actually filled the portion boxes to the top, with curry and not just oil, and improved the quality on the cuts of meat, this could be a mind-blowing take away/restaurant. I am then 100% they would get more business. Unfortunately, they don't have my service anymore as I am fed up of paying so much for less than half a box of curry. There is a huge layer of oil at the top, which only ends up down the drain, as well as this, the meat curries contain really odd pieces of meat, broken bones, very bony, fatty and not much meat there. Their halva puri portions are absolutely miniscule, maybe it would suit a small child or someone who is anorexic, but for an adult or a teenager there is simply not enough food for them in one portion. It seems mad, to be forced to buy 7 portions for a family of 5. Where as if you go to Yaadgar, 1 portion serves 2 people easily.

Amazing food and homily environment

It was my first visit to Rizouq last night along with my Pakistani friends. I was suggested by another Pakistani friend several times to have an authentic Pakistani biryani in Reading. The food indeed met our expectations. Chicken Biryani and Nihari was amazing. Great value to the money. Definitely worth visiting!

If they would have a better sitting place, they would get 5 star. Liked the taste of halwa poori & good paya flavor !!

Pathetic cold tasteless food. No one was present on counter although 3 people were in there and still cold nihari served with frozen bread microwaved. Waste of money and time. Their baby was playing in kitchen loudly. £11 for nihari. I wont take again even if it is free.

The most pathetic restaurant ever visited in terms of customer service and food quality. Ordered Nihari but was served cold (microwaved instead of getting it hot on cooking range and that too not done properly) and the taste was pathetic. Noisy atmosphere as a toddler was roaming around in the kitchen and seating area. Never going to eat again even for free.

I always forget to leave a review after eating from here but this time finall remembered! The food is probably the best pakistani/indian cuisine in Reading, it never fails to dissapoint me or my family. I have also had the food at a party where they catered and the food was outstanding. This time we tried the very popular desi breakfast and each item we got was so tasty. The atmosphere is very homely and shop is clean. I wish they had more seating, would love the come back with more family! Would highly reccomend!

The food is excellent in terms of quality and quantity. Very personalised service. Ordered food for family parties, always better each time. Great feed back from my guests. I would highly recommend for any occasion, small or large. This is the place to go to, for that authentic taste of home.

Sorry to say but tried rizouq butter chicken after a long time and honestly I am sad , the quality of food has gone so so down , the gravy is runny without any richness the quantity has shrinked and prices shot up! Won't try again

Review: Opted for the Chapli kebabs and Naan from their menu. Unfortunately, the order took 20 minutes to arrive. The kebabs had a slightly burnt taste and were quite tough to chew. It appeared they weren't freshly prepared. Additionally, the Naans were not the fresh, but seemed to be store-bought supermarket ones.

The food was delicious and the portions were great. I would recommend this place 100% it was great and the service was good.

Ordered a mixture of dishes, including chicken curry, a veg dish, their Tawa fish. The chicken curry was absolutely awful, tub served in overflowing with oil, no actual meat on the chicken cuts, just bones.. The piece of fish which is overpriced £8 alone, was just a grilled fish witu lots of spices thrown on top, no real flavour at all. To top it all off, we told them we want to eat in, but we’re served our curries in take away tubs, plastic small spoons to serve our curry’s, given metal plates to eat in, and the chappati bread just on a sheet of paper, so within minutes it was cold. Had Tea at the end, it wasn’t great.. had no flavour at all. Really disappointed as I’m Pro supporting small businesses, but these businesses need to step up and realise they cant keep charging ridiculous prices and serving mediocre tasteless food, it’s ridiculous. Was charged £35 for my food, which isn’t cheap… safe to say I don’t recommend and won’t be going again.

Hugely disappointed with the samosas this time. I & my colleague used to love your samosas and I bought them for office team building. I ordered 15 chicken but only 3 of them were chicken the rest are veggie. I have informed this to the restaurant but no refund offered and no response either. The veggie samosa quality has been down big time, nearly 100% of the filling was potato. I will not buy again for the reduced quality and dishonesty conducting your business.

Great food I mostly get my lunch or sometimes takeaway dinner for home. Loved there lamb Haleem,smokey chicken,chicken nihari and so far the best rooti that I have out of House is them..

Ordered Naan Kebabs from Rizouq. I was under the impression the food would be freshly cooked and prepared. What arrived was a shop bought Naan with frozen Kebabs that were heated. The freshest item in the meal was the sliced carrot. Terrible experience!! A real disappointment and not recommended at all. Probably the worst Kebab we have had. I would avoid and go to Star Karahi instead!

Terrible service. They forgot some food of my order. When I called up and told them about it they hung up on me. I then called again to have them hang up again. Terrible service worst I have ever experienced. I then spoke to the manager and asked for a refund for the food that didn’t arrive he said he would process it and never did. Please whatever you do don’t eat here!!! A company like this doesn’t deserve to serve customers.

Food came cold, samosa chat was terrible, for price like that I'd expect more than 2 pieces of lettuce. It didn't taste fresh. Naan so small it's not even worth 2£. Pepsi must be kept in wrong place , it's off. Tortilla chips with two pieces of tomatoes, really?! If I could I give -10. Definitely will never order again. Out of the list. And will not recommend to no one.

Great home cooked desi food! One star knocked off as service could be better, on a few occasions order was wrong but to their credit they were quick to correct. Prices reasonable too.

Had breakfast there alo paratha was very good and chane but NEVER order chicken paratha. Chicken paratha had no chicken just alo. Not worth trying chicken paratha because you are charged with more money so just get alo paratha which i thought was good.

we attend wedding in reading next morning we had breakfast order Lamb Nihari and halwa puri it was like home cooking and delicious. The tea was Fantastic

After our previous order, they had an afterthought to raise the delivery price from £3-£5 when restaurants further down from them deliver for much less. Didn’t order from them for a while and just decided to place an order today to celebrate the end of SATS week for my little one. One hour after the order was accepted, it was cancelled for lack of delivery drivers. So now it’s 8:50 and I’ve to place a new order from somewhere else and wait for that. Could they not inform any sooner instead of one hour after accepting the order. This place needs to get organised. Even when you place an order an hour or more before collecting, it’s not ready. Sometimes their card machine is not working. It’s utter chaos. No apologies whatsoever!

Good food and good portion sizes

Really yummy halwa poori, good prices and same familiar taste from Pakistan. We love coming here for weekend brunches. Definitely recommended. Lady running speaks English as well as Urdu /Hindi. They also help with any Ramzan requests.

I went in today twice and nobody bothered coming out to serve at the front of house. I won't be returning as that's just rude and clearly they can't be bothered with customers.

Joke of a restaurant. Clearly the cooks have no tastebuds as the Biryani is bland despite having half a tray of spices chucked in there. No chicken in the Biryani apart from bones, no Mint Sauce and no drink in the meal deal. Samosa Chaat tasted off. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. ***After being called out by this restaurant for “Posting fake reviews and false information” I would like to reiterate my point that this restaurant not only has bad food but a bad attitude. I will not eat here again and I advise you to do the same. No contact has been made by the restaurant to me apart from them trying to ruin my reputation in their response. Their breakfast is amazing, it's delicious and you won't find anything like that anyway in berskshire or Slough. Their other meals are excellent as well, from their biryani of rich flavours, I don't miss Karachi, and their samosa chat which reminds me of streets of Lahore. Do visit guys if u are missing home. Their sitting is not that good, but the food makes it all up. Their are very hygienic as reasonably priced compared to anyone in the town. 5 stars...

They do a nice chicken karahi and nice burgers. Biryani is ok but shaami kebabs are too dry and have no flavour.

Fantastic place for a quick takeaway. Been there many times and never disappointed. The roti and chicken karahi (on the bone) is something to die for. Reasonable prices and looks like a family run business. PS: most of the meat dishes are on the bone and definitely recommend which also gives a distinctive and authentic flavour.

Definitely best halwa pori and alu paratha breakfast near Oxford. I was looking for a nice one closer to Oxford for around 5 years, glad I found them. And the staff was so nice and humble. Would definitely recommend 👌

Great authentic freshly home cooked delicious and very generous portions sizes of takeaway food. Each dish has its own unique taste. Quality is excellent and very clean hygiene. Cooked by women only. Her rice pudding and gajar halwa is to die for❤️

We have been ordering food form Rizouq for the last so many years and never ever been disappointed. Delicious authentic Pakistani cuisine with excellent service. This has been our number one go to place to order any Desi takeways or for family and friends get togethers. We have always received very personalized service from the staff and especially Munazah has been always prompt and responsive with any kind of delivery orders. Will always recommend them as one of the best.

The deliciousness of the food blew as away!!! An absolute must if you're visiting Reading. Its a small place located in the suburbs of Reading. The owner is a gentleman as well. The food quality is top notch because you will taste the authentic vibes, freshness, and the essence of desi food. Their Biryani with Shami kebab was on point and the yogurt dressing complimented the dish handsomely. We tried their Sabzi special of the day, Okra Masala - it was absolutely amazing. Instead of naans they have chapati, but don't let that fool you because the chapatis are tasteful as well. The prices are some of the best I've seen. Try it and let us know!!!

I got the juicy Lucy burger meals, the burger was overly seasoned with some Asian spices, it wasn't very nice, my daughter didn't eat hers at all because of the flavour. We do love seasoned food but I wouldn't expect a burger to be seasoned like that ! If your after a nice burger tasting burger dont order this. Tasted just like my Asian friends kebabs she makes. Very disappointed 😞 waste of £23 ordered from uber eats.
