Attended a wedding here which was well organized and had very helpful staff

We had a family gathering of 10 here for a Sunday lunch! For starters, the restaurant is beautiful. I’m surprised it’s not busier. The atmosphere is homey yet feels ‘top class’. We had a round table in the corner of the restaurant, facing the river, which was perfect for a big group! Service was attentive, warm and quick :) it was always easy to get someone’s attention and they checked in consistently as well. The food, in general, was fantastic! The Sunday Roasts offer HUGE Yorkshire puddings, the pie was made classically and the desserts were not only delicious but a solid portion size - considering the atmosphere and quality of the food, the price is fantastic! However, we had a hiccup in one of our orders and had to flag this with a waiter. They immediately replaced it and I think someone from the kitchen or a manger came out to personally apologise which was nice. The replacement dish came out quick and they said they would not charge us for that meal but still replace it, however, they did charge us (we only realised when we got home and we should have checked the bill really). They dealt with the issue quick and in a kind manner, but processes should also be followed thereafter. A 7/10 overall experience. Nonetheless, I would still recommend!

This spot is great for a cheeky brunch. Was out here with the lads, had a blast. Food was great, service was great. The only problem was that the ceiling was crumbling onto my hair. Only a slight problem because i have blond hair anyway!!🧟‍♀️

The restaurant is located at the Thames Rowing Club and is a fantastic location with very picturesque views over the river. The staff are very welcoming and friendly - we were here with family after my son got married at the venue earlier in the year. Quality of the food served up was top class - probably the best roast beef I've tasted anywhere. Despite this, there were two things that contributed to my feeling I could not give a "very good" rating. Service etiquette is a subjective issue but when the staff start collecting plates whilst all guests have not finished eating it makes one feel rushed and completely spoils the "comfortable" vibe previously displayed. Also, when we wanted to order dessert we were informed there were not enough dishes left in the kitchen to feed all members of our 13 strong party; we were reduced to ordering all they had in situ and share amongst us - a discount on the final bill would have been appreciated in the circumstances but none was offered. we ended up quite disappointed at the end of the meal.

Brilliant hidden gem perfect for a Sunday morning brunch or delicious Sunday lunch. The childcare room is absolutely brilliant and really affordable at £15 for 2 hours or £5 for 30 minutes - the ladies who run it are so interactive and my daughter absolutely loves joining them whilst we have a nice meal. The food is always really well presented and delicious and the prices are affordable. To top it all off is the lovely terrace overlooking the tree lined river. I would rate 10 stars of I could - the experience is amazing from start to finish for every element.

We had brunch here recently, to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we also got married here a couple of years ago. The brunch was delicious - would recommend the banana bread! View is lovely, so relaxing on the river especially when sat on the balcony. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Breastfeeding and pushchair friendly also. We look forward to returning to try the Sunday roast soon!

Yes they have an amazing view but the real secret is their Delicious food! New chefs have arrived from Hudsons and the food is locally sourced, super fresh and tasty by the superb team from Madeira. Will be back!

Came to a wedding here and it was sooo nice. The service was the best you could experience

Stunning location by the river, sadly let down by average food. Good service, but the food was nothing to write home about. The waffles with bacon and maple syrup had a few spots of maple syrup and when I asked for more all I got was a few extra spots. What happened to a small jug. The rest of the meals - squashed avocado on toast, full English etc were all ok, but nothing special.

What a gem of a place for a Sunday lunch by the river. Food was excellent and surprisingly reasonably priced. Service was great - relaxed, friendly and efficient and we were made to feel very welcome.

I had Sunday lunch and found it excellent. Great venue, very good food and terrific service. In London but felt I was outside London. I will go again.

We had a wonderful brunch with friends last weekend. The food was great, service prompt and friendly and a lovely atmosphere. There was a good range to cater for our large group and everyone said how much they enjoyed it. The creche on site was an added bonus as we got to eat a warm meal knowing my little one was close by having fun. Wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it and we will be back for sure.

Lovely place to get a roast on a Sunday

A wonderful place to spend time and meet up with friends on a Sunday. All tables come with riverside view I always go for the pie of the day. The roast looks good.

We went with friends who live locally and suggested this as a venue for Sunday Lunch. We were not disappointed.The venue, being Thames Rowing Club headquarters, was located on the river and even at low tide any water view as Londoner is appreciated The restaurant itself is expansive with high ceiling and large windows facing the river. It has a great ambience and engaging professional staff. The restaurant itself and other sections reflect the venue's historical nature with rolls of honour framed photos and trophies going back to 19th century The roast beef was tender full of flavour and highest quality with a range of vegetables We would certainly return with or without our friends- beats a pub Sunday roast any day
