I’m a local resident and this lovely kiosk set in Fordingbridge Park is the very best. Hot and cold drinks, freshly prepared food all served with a smile by wonderful staff. Uses local produce which really does add to this little gem….try it….you’ll not be disappointed.

Amazing pies, service etc. SO much better than many local restaurants and not your ordinary kiosk. Excellent quality.

Read the previous reviews of this little cafe and decided to give it a try, we were not disappointed. The pork pies were absolutely delicious, this is what I call good, honest food. The service was efficient and friendly, whilst chatting to the lady serving, I mentioned that my mother had dementia and had a few health problems and she offered us a paper bag to put the tuna roll in, in case mum couldn't eat it all at once. The Kiosk is in a lovely location and I can't wait to visit again.

Riverside Kiosk is Fordingbridge's best kept secret, the food is amazing and incredible value. You won't be disappointed. Eat outside or takeaway.

The Riverside Kiosk in Fordingbridge park is perfect to meet friends for a coffee or stop off after a lovely, picturesque, walk along the river with the dog. Dogs are allowed in the grounds by the kiosk, just not in the main play park area. There is ample parking at the top end of the recreation ground which is free, alternatively the NFDC car park is adjacent to the kiosk along the slip rd, you do have to pay unless you have a parking clock. A lovely selections of hot drinks are available, even take along your own re-use able cup, although drinks do come in a compostable cup with lid. Nigel's homemade pies are delicious, I especially like the pork pies, but on a cold day the warm pies are amazing. In the summer it's a lovely spot to grab an ice cream, especially as they stock the New Forest range and Nigel has also produced his own Lolly Pops which are great for both children and adults! Chocolate cake is a must! I am a frequent visitor, staff are ever so friendly! Look forward to seeing you soon.

We are in a very lucky position in that we live five minutes walk from the park but this, perhaps, does not help with our waistline! Among the delicious pies, soups and homemade cordials Nigel produces our favourite is the amazing chocolate cake - fabulous!

Was in the area and discovered this wonderful gem. The pies (one was meat and the other vegetarian) were so delicious, as was the soup, that we went back to get some to take home. Thank you Nigel and also the young lady who was helping you. Will definitely come back next time we are in the New Forest.

I enjoyed all three of the above and was very surprised to find such a gem in a local authority park operated as a concession. If you have a family and fancy a paddle in the river and a good range of food options try the park and Nigel’s kiosk.

You do not expect to go to a little kiosk, in the park and get such wonderful food. Nigel's pies are simply the best. Good, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection - nothing more to be said really!

In a lovely location our large family group enjoyed the most delicious homemade pies and quiches from this lovely little kiosk. It’s refreshing to sample homemade food instead of shop bought! Very reasonably priced and service with a smile! It’s worth while supporting small local businesses. A must visit we will be returning!

Great varied menu, stopped in for lunch, there was 9 of us. Very reasonably priced, quality ingredients, we all had a mixture of sandwiches, would definitely recommend a sausage, bacon and egg bap. Great Weather added to the mix.

Spent a few hours in the riverside park in Fordingbridge and thought we'd give the kiosk a try....more out of convenience than anything, but glad we did. The pie mash and onion gravy was delicious. You can chose your own pie from a selection, that includes vegan/vegetarian options. We both opted for steak and kidney. The pies were lovely, with rich suety pastry, packed full of meat, well seasoned and tasty. Love a good pie and these were amongst the best I've tasted....highly recommended! Also had 'proper' milk shake made with ice cream....they serve New Forest Ice Cream as well....lovely little cafe/kiosk, the the park away from the hustle and bustle of the high street....perfect. Staff friendly and helpful....food good value

TripAdvisor is broken as 5 stars are not enough, Nigel is too modest, but hands down creates THE best food and is a real treat for Fordingbridge. The best Pork Pie you will ever taste!!! In addition, the Pie & Mash, with onion gravy, is the most incredible value for your taste buds. The pies available from day to day, but Chicken & Leek and Turkey & Ham are winners all the way. For Vegans, the Moroccan spiced squash and red pepper pie is phenomenal. If there's still room, go for the one of his Chocolate Nemesis slices for a sweet treat for afters. He makes a good cuppa and other refreshments are available, but the food is where it is at, and makes this stand out from EVERYTHING else. Plus there is the added bonus of being situated in the recreation grounds for plenty of great views for the river :)

Nigel is an extremely great chef, creating his own pies, cakes and delicious food from the riverside kiosk which is situated in the park in fordingbridge. He was kind enough to start creating some absolutely delicious vegan pies for myself and my wife. Moroccan vegetables, indian spiced chickpeas are just some of the fillings he has created. You can snack on these treats while looking out across the park to the river, the kids can enjoy the play park and skatepark. Well worth a visit for a bite to eat.

Found this little gem quite by accident whilst staying at Sandyballs Holiday Village. We had two lunch boxes for the toddlers which were filled with healthy snacks and the kids (3 and 18 months) loved them. My daughter and I had homemade pie and mash with onion gravy; it was delicious and sitting near the river watching the kiddies play and feed the ducks made for a very relaxing lunchtime.

This is a brilliant place to find some really great food - summer or winter. The chef makes some of the best pies you will eat anywhere and he does hot specials as well. Noticed nettle soup on the menu. I had 2 pork pies today - they were so good- nicely seasoned with white pepper and mace - you can tell the chef loves what he does.

We were looking for a pub for lunch on a perfect October day wanting to sit outside and came across the kiosk. Lovely scrunchy toastie each and can of cola sitting by the river in this lovely little park. So cheap as well. Pies looked very good. Will return with grandchild and next time visiting the plant centre in nearby Stuckton.

This is a lovely place to visit right in the heart of the gorgeous fordingbridge Park area. Nigel who runs the business is a lovely friendly local chap with an amazing talent for producing excellent food, previously a 5* chef. All food is fresh, locally sourced and excellent value, a real credit to our community. Please visit and support this business, you can also buy fishing permits from the cafe, cheers, ken

What a find! Located a couple of doors down from the Crown Hotel on the same side of the street in Lyndhurst. Hubby the coffee snob loved the coffee, and they grind their own here too. Personally a tea drinker, yet a lovely cuppa and a great naughty cake choice. Lovely lady behind the counter, presumed the owner, very chatty and friendly. Great place, highly recommended.

Perfect pit stop before a long 3 hour drive home! The cafe is cute and the staff are friendly. The sandwiches were AMAZING. My partner declared his the best toastie he’s had and didn’t stop talking about it all day! The menu is pretty limited (a meat, a vegan and a vegetarian option) but the sandwiches were clearly freshly made with good ingredients and thought was put into the fillings. I had the vegetarian option - squash, truffle pesto and cheese and the flavours were SO good. As a previous review mentioned, perhaps a small side salad or coleslaw etc would be a nice addition on the plate. Would happily eat here again, just a shame it’s so far away!

Writing as someone who works in hospitality - this place is amazing. Top quality food and drink, served beautifully, with really friendly and helpful staff. We were a table with allergy-sufferers (gluten & dairy), and they went out of their way to serve us a delicious meal even when they were out of stock of their usual allergen-friendly options. The cafe is beautifully decorated and has a really warm atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough!

We moved to Burley recently and have really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the WB. They make a really valuable contribution to the community and have some fun events (e.g. quizzes, discos, book clubs, etc). The staff and volunteers work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Also offers the cheapest drinks in Burley!
