it wasn’t open as advertised, disappointed :(

Like to call in here when I go to pay my respects at the Hillsborough memorial. Disappointed to see that it's not going to be open when I plan to come this year, Sunday 14th April. Had a great time and drink with my fiancé here in 2022. Thanks to all for making us feel so welcome

Had a lovely first visit to the Riverside Café with my partner after a long morning of shopping, and will definitely be visiting again. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was wonderful and friendly. There's even a nice outdoor section which overlooks the river, which is where we sat for our visit. Even though they were busy at the time, the staff were still lovely and friendly, and the service was still very quick. Would definitely recommend a visit!

As a Bristol Rovers' supporter attending our match away against Sheffield Wednesday (1-1), I had a meal here beforehand. Initially I was told they had no meat & potato pie left but, I was called back as they had one last portion. Pleasantly-surprised that it was home-made, and that the accompanying chips were freshly-cut. It was also served with mushy peas and gravy. Delicious, plentiful and good value, plus there was a lovely atmosphere in there.

Went for breakfast this morning. Drinks not included with breakfast,bacon could not cut with knife sausage was bland,and our toast came ages after meal arrived. Very disappointed and expensive compared to other places. Even the coffee was not good they did not even give us a spoon In a word RUBBISH

I had a jacket potatoe with tuna mayo and sweet corn while my colleague enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were helpful and the toilets clean. A nice place for a meal and a chat with the park just down the streets. Each walk from a tram or bus.

Went to a 50th birthday party upstairs...very surprised to see no cutlery for buffet in this pandemic ..literally had to use fingers for chips etc.man behind bar very unhygienic kept going out for a smoke & not washing his hands !! Asked for some ice and he just used his hands ..most of beers were rancid .no rules in place for covid whatsoever!!!!!

Great looking cafe although I only stopped for a couple of pints before the game. Farmers Blonde only £3.30! Nice atmosphere and a cracking outdoor seating area with views of the stadium and the river. Will come here again!

Excellent food and service, the dogs even got a complimentary sausage! Staff are lovely and friendly. Prices are reasonable and cafe is spotless. Perfect pit stop after a walk round the park!

Foods really good, proper meaty sausage and bacon, lovely poached eggs. £10.60 for a whopper breakfast, is expensive but worth it. The only downside is it’s next to swillsborough stadium

A great place with extensive food choices. Prices are very reasonable, portions generous and food cooked beautifully.

The cafe is pretty good but the bar area upstairs is the standout element. Nice place to be in general and great to book for a party

Excellent food and friendly staff. Pro tip: get the bread toasted as, like all slices when confronted with liquid egg yolk, it will slowly disintegrate... The only other thing would be to ask something to which cyclists could lock their bikes, because it's a great mid-ride stop...

The staff looked dirty, when the young man eventually came to serve me, he wiped his mouth with his T shirt twice as I told him what drinks I wanted. There was no please or thankyou, as he passed me my drinks he turned and walked away. I wanted to give this place another chance as I've had a similar experience before but that's it, won't be going again

Good food ,good value and quick service!

Lovely cafe, I'd definitely recommend a visit. Bright and airy inside with huge windows letting in lots of light and loads of outdoor seating too. The team were all friendly and attentive, expertly handling difficult match-day customers with good humour. The food was delicious with good sized portions that made it great value for money so I'll be back for more twice-cooked chips soon.

Warm, cosy, welcoming staff, dogs allowed too which is a bonus, just opposite Hillsborough Park so good for a stop off for a catch-up & a coffee & or food with friends, bar upstairs, outdoor decking/smoking area too, all catered for... we're regulars & love it there

Lovely cafe with great facilities for families, one of my favourite places to take my daughter. Prices are a wee bit inflated, but it's the only place nearby so I guess they can.

Visited after the match had started so limited selection of food but had a good home cooked meal in spotless surroundings

Young woman serving obviously wanted to go home 3pm. Unfriendly. No tray for mug, teapot and milk jar to carry to table. Started vacuuming round us and putting chairs on tables. We left and went to Costa whose staff were very friendly and did not make us feel unwelcome. Will not visit Riverside again.

Best eggs Benedict by far. Lovely, friendly staff. Happily serves everyone from school mummies to builders. immaculately clean, vast menu, good for kids too (brill milkshakes). Brilliant from breakfast to main meals. cosy too with fire

Breakfast mediocre, £5.25 plus 1.50 for a coffee. My bill for 3 breakfasts £19.00..plus not good to be eating when customers are aloud their dogs inside..

I used to like it here but think the breakfast is well overpriced for what you get. They used to do like a griddle for bacon which tasted lovely now its fried in fat. Sausages didnt looked cooked inside and tasted vile. We went for breakfast as i remember it being lovely food. Sorry but i wont be going again
