Great management team, great real ales ,a really good atmosphere, a proper old world drinkers pub , unlike a lot of pretentious ,over priced,yuppie "bars" in the area.

A locals pub,just out of the city centre. Only one cask ale on the bar on our visit, but a lovely pint.

Wonderful food that tastes like home. All meats are soft and tender, roast potatoes crispy and soft, all flavoured brilliantly. Great value too at £12 a roast dinner. Started eating and forgot to take a picture before it was too late!

I cannot even begin to express how amazing the Sunday roast is. We live locally, and we’re planning on trying all the roasts in the area in attempt to find the best roast. I don’t think we really need to! Properly home cooked food, beef absolutely fell apart it was so tender. Thoroughly enjoyed and cannot recommend enough. The staff were also so attentive, thoughtful and kind!

Just popped in for 1 on way home from a bike meet. Acoustic jam on. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Superb pub. Came here for Sheffield Sessions Festival, playing traditional music into the small hours. Very friendly landlord and staff, tasty mild on draught. 🍺

It's a great friendly boozer and everyone including other customers make you feel welcome. Never any trouble.

Visited this place based on the reviews and unfortunately all three cask beers we tried tasted like they had gone off. Waitress was very friendly but admitted she was lacking knowledge while returning my beer. Maybe an unfortunate event!

Great pub and atmosphere. Staff are friendy and make us feel very welcome. They even have their own brewery. These little gems need your support so when they re open please go in and give them your support. You will have a good night.

Had problems getting my wheelchair in but managed with some assistance. Nice atmosphere we enjoyed the "Turn" who was on. Had a good night.

This is a nice pub, but a little off the beaten track. Traditional, though it boasts it own brewery. Went on a late Sat afto, lots of space. 5 mins walk down the road and the Gardner's was heaving. Stand up only. So if you want to sit and have a good chat then this might be for you

Decent pub. Has singers on. If going then go when vinley Gayle is singing. Hes great.

They have a sign that says something like 'arrive as friends, leave as family' and thats an exact representation of this pub! If you're looking for the kind of lively local, not too many people (but not lacking!), great karaoke and even better staff then this is the best place.

This is an atmosphere that is rarely achieved in these new materialised pubs. The Forest is a real family and friendly experience, great people, glorious food and gracious hosts. Highly recommend the vibe and experience!

Called in after visiting the axe throwing as the forest serves beer they brew in their own micro brewery. Proper traditional old fashioned locals pub with a range of their own beers. Friendly land lord and land lady. But the beer wasn't to my taste. You may enjoy the beer better. But was a good first stop on our way back into Sheffield.

Always go last Saturday in month to see Gary Phillips always have a good night when Gary is on

Love this place. Such a warm welcome from Maz, Ollie and the local crowd. Get down there and sample the fine home brewed ales, lovely food and fantastic live music and open mic nights.

The Forest, the Forest, you go in to see just what this public house as to offer you, and if you are lucky enough to be going on a Saturday night around 8,30 pm you will find just what a more traditional public house, has to do to get the public in and to keep them and with a bit of luck help it to grow, you will enter as a customer but you will leave as a friend. And then go back fore Sunday lunch and have one of the best Sunday's dinner's in Sheffield or even South Yorkshire, What more doe's anyone want, go find out, just how good life can be.?

Good atmosphere. Friendly no heirs or graces who you meet are who they are.yorkshire folk to the heart.with it's own brewery.but...don't drink and drive.and talk to locals about the overall area late at night.that applies to any city.good for karaoke and live bands.

Fantastic carvery on a Sunday. £6.50 per adult. £3 per child. Small adult option available for £5. Two courses; home made soup followed by choice of 3 meats, freshly cooked veg, roast and new potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, and stuffing. Very popular. Easily the best within a 3 mile radius. If you stay on a bit longer you even get free entertainment in the form of live music. Delicious food, great hosts, great entertainment. What more could you want?

Had my aunts wake here today the landlady was a lovely lady and staff nothing was 2 much trouble even opening up 4 us to take the buffet in deserves the 5 stats

AMAZING, usually start my weekend off in the florest and end it there too lol (amazing drinks amazing music) with drinks starting from 2pound it's easy to get off yer effin nut off of 20 quid DEFO recommend 5/5 from me
