Yes we know portions are small (yawn) but so are Gordon Ramsey's. This is 'fine dining' donnar meat, exquisitely made and absolutely delicious. If you don't get it, there are plenty of industrial donnar kebab shops out there, (see ya and I wouldn't wanna be ya). Please get your palate adequately prepared for upon arrival and get ready for a taste bud explosion. Top quality, fresh as a daisy and the recipe hasn't changed in over 30 years. They use the meat from the ribs which gives it the unique taste. I always have the 'hot' chilli sauce which compliments the kebab perfectly, but even without it's an absolute corker. The menu is simple but perfect, masters of their trade and I'm looking forward to going here ASAP. Never been disappointed in 30 years. Thank you Shahi Kebab. If I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the window! 🙋‍♂️

This place is a local legend, been open for years great food they make their own donner not like many other takeaways. Menu is limited but simple. The nan's are not fresh, so I get the large special mix. Only 2 bad points the 1st The potions are small even if you get a large. 2nd The price is little on the high side but you do get quality over quantity.

You get a large doner you still end up having chicken and chips very tight with portions.

Came here for the 1st time after hearing about this place for many years but oh my days what a disappointment. I got the large Lamb Donner and really not worth the price of £6.70 without a drink or chips. Salad is Onions tomato and cabbage the cheapest you can get. The naan is just a small packet naan, pre made. 🤨. These places should be doing fresh naan!! Never seen a place do this before. The donner meat was decent But again a small portion. I know the donner is homemade but at least give a fresh naan and some nice sauces, absolute robbery at these prices Wont be going to this place again.

Would have been a 4 star easily. However they don't do fresh naan and the portions are tighter than a ducks bottom. Being from the south of England were used to paying 7 or 8 quid for a kebab, overall service was just okay, overpriced definitely, food quality was good 2 be fair. Got the small special mix and really not worth the price of £7.50 without a drink or chips. The chicken and lamb pieces were tiny 1cm cubes and not like a normal size tikka. The naan which they charge £1.50 for is just a packet naan, pre made. 🤨. These places should be doing fresh naan!! Never seen. A place do this. The donner was okay. But slightly greasy and small SHAZ across the road offer the same thing but with freshly in house made bread or wraps for about £3.

Everyone should try Shahi atleast once you'll never go anywhere else, lamb shish chicken shish and home made donor best in country. Portions are small though.

Giving this a 3 star as the food at Shahi Kebab has always been nice but they still continue to serve you food on paper then wrapped in what I like to call a (nappy bag) despite me returning after 4 years. Prices are abit steep.. 2 specials n 2 drinks £18 and portion size seem alot smaller which is not filling for such price, and inside the place is like 1950s and you can't even eat in car since it's wrapped in paper and plastic bag so if your having any sauces then expect it to go all over place .. just at least serve food it normal takeaway boxes if people are paying this much there is no need for this extreme budgeting.

Been going here for years nice family running this bussiness beautiful food if i go to other places i get bloated and stomach cramps. this food is perfect right size fresh proper kababs the old man is so frendly his sons are frendly to fast servise i recomend anybody to go here all my family love your food thank you 😊

Food is excellent but portions are very very small. The only way to fill yourself up is by ordering 2 kebabs other than that you will still be hungry. Pity as the owners are nice but surely they realise that the portions are not good. Charge more I don't mind but when I ask for a large kebab I want a large kebab

Got a large lamb kebab with it on naan bread instead of pitta, the meat was nice but the size of it was very small for what i class as a large kebab. It was nowhere near enough to fill any man's belly which was a shame. Really disappointing overall as the meat was tasty but was a little chewy. My rating 5/10.

I'm a big fan of home made donner and I eat from 3 places that do it in Sheffield... Shahi kebab Kebab cafe (just halal) And Charlies on infirmary Road.. £6 for a large from shahi and it barely fills you up, I call it decorating the bread with donner lol they spread the donner across the naan so if your not short of money I'd definitely order 2 large portions or an extra portion of just donner meat at least.. Charlies on the other hand is just as nice and they give you way too much so I personally order a small and its still bigger than the large at both places So if your hungry go to charlies on infirmary Road but if you want a snack then stick with shahi

Very overpriced for the small portions they offer . And the quality of food isn’t great. You’ll be better off getting your food from one of the places on the Wicker.

Doner is home made so 100% better than any of those elephant leg processed poisonous doner’s out there that are made from scrap meat. Tastes good, the Shish is good too. However, what people are saying about the portions is true. They’re pathetic, the large costs about £6 something and is like a snack. They have a customer base so the money comes in and they get away with it, but honestly this is what stops me going more often. Yeah I get that it’s home made and costlier than the processed alternative but the portions really are pathetic.

Love this place. Been eating here twenty years and just as good today as ever ❤️

Food is nice. However, they have a bad habit of serving friends before customers who have been stood waiting a long time. When approached about it, they evade the question and act like they didn't hear you. Yes its family run, but actually serve customers who get there first. Portions are small, but good food

Went here for the 1st time and not impressed at all, over priced portions of the mix kebab was unbelievable, get better portion from Just Kebabs on Wicker and much Tastier than here, won't be coming here again.
