Stopped in for a cuppa and had 2 delicious scones with cream and jam. Nice fresh leaf tea in a pot and partner had fruity water which was lovely. Great service from happy staff. Lovely independent shop with good choice for everyone.

Lovely coffees and friendly staff every time I have visited. Food is decent but the coffee is fantastic. Riverhead also has a nice, cozy atmosphere but can be quite difficult finding a free table when they’re busy!

A remarkably good place for coffee. The cakes etc look really good, unfortunately I couldn't have one this visit but will be back to try them soon. The knowledge, friendliness and helpfulness of the is exemplary. Two great staff members. We strongly recommend this place.

We had the pleasure of attending the new supper club, tonight’s was an Asian street food vegan menu. I’m not vegan However the food was lovely and tasty, dishes well spaced out and service great! Would happy recommend

Used to visit fairly regularly for breakfast and coffee, and while I would love to be able to support a local business it has really been one thing after another. On three separate occasions now my lactose-intolerant partner has requested coffee made with soy milk, only to realise after finishing it that it was made with dairy. Once is a mistake but as a regular occurrence it's really not on when you’re dealing with dietary intolerances. I would certainly caution anybody with more serious allergies to think twice. After a bit of a break, we most recently thought we’d roll the dice on the soy/dairy issue and go in for coffee and breakfast. £30 for two coffees and two orders of pancakes?? Come on. The ‘Large’ coffees were definitely no bigger than a medium anywhere else. And while tasty they were only just warm at best..

Birthday trip to the seaside and we came across this cute little cafe with lovely food options inclusive of veggie/vegan diets. I had the baked sweet potato with feta, beetroot and spinach and it was delicious. A cup of tea is almost a ceremony with a little timer to make sure the leaves are steeped. Lovely to see when a lot of places charge the same price for a bulk buy teabag dipped in water! The smoothies were great too. We were so impressed that we got a vegan sausage roll, rocky road and an almond cake to take away.

It’s was rubbish very very poor service and we only ordered a tea and it cost £2.75! And it took so long to come! People only come because it trendy not because it’s nice! They was only one person serving! The tea came and you had to wait another 2 minutes until all the tea was dissolved as it was tea leafs! The toilets are horrible they was all wee on the floor and toilets! It was horrible! All the food was out on the side and they looked horrid! Do not recommend

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast made with very good bread, smoked salmon, and a croissant with cheese and tomato), with the best coffee we’ve had in ages, and more importantly, really friendly service. And they are dog-friendly. Very highly recommended!

We stopped by for an afternoon cuppa after wandering along the seafront most of the day. The coffee was good, the tea in a large mug and the cakes (we shared two) were very good. We sat out at the pavement tables watching the world go by.

Wonderfully welcoming and caring staff. Goodness spills from them and from what they serve. Homely, off-beat, bohemian spirit. Beautifully relaxed and exquisitely informal...and so, so tasty.

Riverhead Coffee is the best! The staff feel like old friends and we love the fact that it's bursting with colour, cakes and merchandise. It has an organic look which is welcoming and relaxing. The coffee is terrific and so is the food. Couldn't be better.

The staff are so friendly and go out of the way to give best service. The toilets have baby changing facility and step for young children. The food was amazing, fresh and tasty and good prices. Definitely recommend a visit to here. Vegetarian and vegan foods/milk.

The great coffee and amazing range of vegan food (the cakes are lovely) make Riverhead, Cleethorpes a must-visit place if you like good coffee and good food. The outstanding staff go above and beyond and make the atmosphere relaxed, fun and so welcoming. Special shout out to Becky who greets everyone with a positive and super-friendly manner and really takes care of her customers.

The second best thing I did today was walk past the Costa 200 metres away. The best was deciding to try out Riverhead Coffee. The welcome was warm from the start, and it just kept getting better - helped along by fine rocket fuel strength...

A very warm and welcoming cafe, Riverhead has a great array of drinks, meals and snacks. I opted for the chocolate smoothie bowl topped with chocolate, coconut, granola and peanut butter, as well as a matcha latte to drink. My friend selected avocado and feta...

Love this place. The croissants are amazing, so fresh and the coffee is the best in Cleethorpes, I usually have a latte. When it’s open as normal it’s very child-friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. Staff are always friendly and helpful. During lockdown I’ve ordered the Mexican food and it didn’t disappoint either.

First of all.... there needs to be more than 5 stars as an option!! Both the locations of Riverhead Coffee bless us with the most amazing staff! Especially Meg (my Cleethorpes honey) and Amethyst (my Grimsby gal)! These girls and all the other friendly and super helpful staff have made it their mission to get to know their customers. I’m spoiled when I go into either venue- I don’t even need to order, they’re already on it! The food is incredible, piping hot coffee and the most delicious homemade treats and classic favourites. Nana Jan outdoes herself with every baked batch too- ever miss your own Nana’s baking? Jan has got you covered! My regular order is a PB bagel and a decaf soy latte (sugar free syrup!).... these gals even go as far as measuring the weight of my bagel filling and making sure I have nutrition information for my whole order to keep with my diet plan! Today I’ve had pancakes DELIVERED! Perfectly put together, absolutely delicious and the sweetest thank you note inside the box! Absolutely made my day! Delivered by the sweetest owner herself.... Thanks Nic They just can’t do enough for you! Four visits a week (minimum!) just is not enough!!!! I can’t even say it’s just for the food and the service.... I go in for laughs with the girls! My son bought us afternoon tea presentation was beautiful. Bagels were hard and missing a filling soup was cold and not as stated on phone. Sandwich was cheese cut into 4 the two middle slices of bread had cheese on the two ends had a slither if u could call it that. Sausage rolls were tasteless my husband said cakes were like school dinner cakes not what he has experienced on other afternoon teas around cleethorpes. Spoke to shop advising above was offered replacement sandwiches or a voucher why would we want to revisit somewhere that has spoilt our anniversary lunch. Still waiting for a call from the shop .....

We visited this coffee shop recently, we chose to sit outside.I entered the shop, the staff were very unwelcoming, I gave my order to the member of staff whom simply asked how many sugars ? I presumed this would be satchels delivered with our beverages. This cost over £5 for a tea and small coffee .When beverages delivered outside to us they were in paper cups !! My husband asked why this was ...she said “the tables outside were wonky !? So if we wanted beverages in cups we had to sit inside !!! Then I realised there was sugar in my coffee I’m diabetic so do not use sugar ... never have I had any coffee shop put sugar in a beverage!!!

This is a gem of a place for coffee, healthy lunches and carrot cake! Met the baker.... she’s in it for the love and it comes out in her cakes. Highly recommended as the place for a good vibe matched by excellent service and coffee and .... cake!!!

On a beautiful sunny day down in Cleethorpes I nipped into Riverhead for a coffee whilst on my walk. The coffee was delightful and was tempted to sample the up and coming Simnel cake which was delicious . Well done Jan and well done for making me feel very welcome. Such a friendly place to sit and watch the world go by and a great variety of vegan and gluten free cakes. As you can see I didn’t leave much !

Had dinner with my partner and daughter for valentine's day, food was delicious. Very good value for money, staff are great, very friendly, good atmosphere and Nic and nana Jan are fab with my daughter.

I've been here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. However this time we waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks after watching many other people who came in after us get their drinks AND food. It's very pretty small place so i was really surprised the ladies working that day didn't realise we were sat 20+ minutes without a drink, and constantly looking over trying to get their attention.Eventually i went up and said we hadn't got our drinks yet, to which i got a reply 'oh what did you order, sometimes the orders on the post-it notes fly off the coffee machine'.She eventually brought our drinks and said 'sorry the order flew off the machine'... I would have offered a discount or free drinks after waiting that long for a coffee and a hot chocolate.Will not be rushing back here any time soon. Disappointing service.

We love the Riverhead and are regulars. The food is lovely and the soup is amazing! You can't beat it for value and quality. The staff are always friendly and are great with my daughter.

Friendly and so relaxing. everything about this Coffee House is so nice, the staff. The Bagels so worth taikimg one home in a doggy bag for the trip home or just for a late supper. the prices are fair,the salad that is served with the meal of your choice is so crunchy and fresh. But please please try a cup of tea and a slice of the lemon Drizzle cake. it is so Moist and light and would so tempt anyone to forget the new years resolution to stick to the planned diet and just ask for a second slice, we totaly recomend you visit here and treat yourself. you can eat in or you can order food and go collet it or you can buy in the store to take out. so we guess its a kind of fast food place but then again why not sit in and enjoy your food.

After a stroll on the beach at The Fitties a hot drink and sweet treat was called for. A standard latte and beetroot latte hit the spot together with gluten free almond and lemon cake and a raw chocolate brownie. Good value for money and well worth a visit. Thank you!

Called in for a coffee and had to have a cake as they looked delicious! The coffee was perfect and both my cream scone and my partners chocolate slab were very big. My scone had an enormous amount of cream, so much that I had to take a lot off and leave it on the plate! Well worth the money but you can't eat anything else for quite some time!

Had a lovey meal at supper club. Really enjoyed something a little different and the staff were lovely as they always are when I visit.

Superb. Awesome coffee and the scrambled eggs on avocado toast and crispy bacon ciabatta were wonderful. Try the beetroot latte. It’s amazing. Oh and the banana bread and tea loaf. We only popped in for a quick snack but indulged. Really relaxing atmosphere on the Avenue. Will be coming back when we return to UK. Fully recommend.

Have been to Riverhead here and in Grimsby a few times and it is a nice, independent cafe which serves really good, fresh food with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. I do like a nice cup of tea with my food and, unfortunately, the tea is what lets this place down. I don't know what they use but it is loose leaf which comes in the type of pot which separates the leaves and is incredibly weak. Come on Riverhead, get some proper tea and I'll come back!

A delicious, light lunch and coffee from a great menu with options for all types of diets including gluten free and vegan! I chose the baked sweet potato with chicken, pesto mayo, spinach and feta and it was so tasty. The staff are very friendly and the decor is lovely.

Visited this lovely place on and afternoon out in Cleethorpes, as had been recommended to go for great vegan food. Was not disappointed. My mum and myself are both vegan and sometimes feel we are causing problems when asking for dairy alternatives. Felt totally comfortable here and can’t wait to go back. We visited here for lunch today - what a little gem! We had the Advocado Bagel and the Pancake Stack with yoghurt and fruit compote and both were sooo tasty. We go here every weekend. They make a fuss over our son who loves the food and the place. They are so family friendly. The food and drinks are great. The staff are amazing and a credit to the owner.

Visited here twice and the branch in GY during a weekend break. Absolutely fantastic for breakfast and lunch. Had teas, granola, smoothies, their avocado toast and scrambled eggs with bacon across the three visits and all were superb. Friendly staff too, can't wait to go back.

Riverhead has become our new weekend breakfast place. The eggs, bacon and bloomer slice is cooked to perfection (no dry or sloppy eggs here), and they make a mean flat white!

Came across this place recently, after training some clients on the beach. Had a lovely take-out and notice the great tunes in the background (Eels, at the time). Knew I'd come back and will be in there regularly, from now on.

We love this place, unique selection of tea's and coffees, super food with a great selection for the vegetarians and vegans. My personal favourite snack is the pastrami bagel, a great mix of flavours and textures. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Added bonus of another venue in Grimsby.

As well as being a relaxing and high quality cafe for those supporting Fair Trade and social enterprise , you will find plenty of evidence that Riverhead Coffee puts its ethics into practice

Well just pop in to have a bite to eat and coffee just fantastic place to relax in just need a sofa lol but coffee fresh and egg on toast was fab if I can say one thing it mite help you is ask them if they wood like salad or garnish on there food as its a Waste​ when you don't eat it

Quirky, friendly and delicious! What more could you expect from a café? Oh yes, it's a local venture too! This is a place to both socialise and relax. The staff are so nice and the food and drinks are fantastic while being very healthy. I love the decor and the ambience, and it's so good to know that you're encouraging a small business rather than a corporate, international organisation.

If you love coffee then this place has the best by far. Also a great selection of other drinks. Good food, lunch bites, and fantastic cakes. Good vibe and music with super friendly staff.

Locally run, great sandwiches, tea and coffee at reasonable prices slightly off the beaten track of the town centre, but not too far out of the way if you are carrying shopping.

Me and my partner had breakfast here last week in the newly opened St. Peter's avenue venue previously high street riverhead coffee. We went with bacon pancakes and maple syrup and the cream cheese bagel both with chai latte. The bacon was cooked perfect just how I like it nice and crispy and the chai latte was beautiful.

Absolutely amazing, we're regulars at grimsby already and the new premises is equally amazing! Thank you for providing the area with not only amazing coffee, allergy friendly foods but also the best customer service around ♡

Discovered this cafe a few months ago. This is a must to visit in Cleethorpes. Small but can cater for sit in or take away, coffee amazing, hot cholocate delicious. I'm a big fan of the home made soup & focaccia bread. Home made protein balls are a delight after training, or a run into work.

after visiting the grimsby shop we loved the coffe and we got vouchers for a free coffee or tea for the cleethorpes shop , so whilst we where shopping in cleethorpes we decided to visit in here its not big but its still got all the same qualities the grimsby store has

Not content with bringing artisan coffee to Grimsby, Riverhead is also making a mark on Cleethorpes. In a compact corner spot just up from the train station, they manage to fit in three tables and some bar stools, along with space outside if you want to dare the thundering traffic.

Not to mention teas,soft drinks,home made vegan/gluten free cakes,scrummy sandwiches,best sausage rolls EVER and a chilled vibe for catching up with your life....

Best coffee in town, good things come in small packages! The mochas and the banana and oat smoothies are my fave!
