River Fish Bar in Islington

In a hurry to consume some food before going to see a play, I bought fish and chips from the Quality Fish Bar. I am so pleased that I did. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly too.

This used to be a very simple chippy, but it's now a Spanish-style fish bar serving great dishes such as Plaice and Aubergine. And fantastic chips! The food is very good and given the quality, it's no surprise there are queues outside every night. It's not comfortable inside - couples are sat on bar stools, larger groups sit on basic tables out the back. But overall, it's worth queueing for.

This is my go to local for F&C, the food is always fresh and both the fish and chips are always cooked to perfection. The service is efficient and warm. Along with the excellent F&C they have a good selection of other eats like pies and Saveloy's. Would very much recommend.

This family run business has been around for years. They are a friendly couple who are polite and friendly. Their food is good quality especially their fried chicken and chips. They give me a big portion of chips every time. And the chips are fresh, not old hard chips like some other shops. I like to see and know that they keep the fish and chip shop clean and tidy.
