Ristorante Sorrento in Kingston upon Thames

Sorrento gets it right - a perfectly lit, warm atmosphere; staff who are polite and friendly; food that is great quality and not overpriced. This has been somewhere for our family to have special meals for years now.

We met friends here for the three course set price lunch. There was ample choice on the menu to suit all of us. The helping were good and the food itself great and hot. The hospitality was very Italian and fun. Definitely a restaurant more for small groups rather than a couples romantic meal. We will come back

We were advised that this is a nice place by a friend who visited perhaps ten years ago. Right now it was anything but a nice place for an evening. Fresh sardines were nearly inedible. Main courses bland. Maybe suitable for anyone who has no idea of real Italian food. No one was brave enough to order dessert. Sorry, this was our personal experience.

We have been visiting this small Italian restaurant nestled in the residential area of Tolworth for the last 15 years or so. But we came here today almost after 5 years( Covid) it still looked the same with delightful staff. The good that we ordered included mushrooms baked, crayfish salad, cod in the mains topped with roast potatoes, frittisand carrots.
