Had the Sunday carvery yesterday overall not to bad "BUT" roast potatoes not really roast potatoes more like fluffy spuds few was hard in middle as was some of my parsnips just a little under Cooked, gravy could have a little more taste to it as in my opinion lacks that beefy taste, having said all this and I hope management picks up on what I've said and makes slight adjustments. Would like to come back sometime soon.

Stayed for two nights for business and had the evening meal which was nice, the breakfast the day before was okay but the next day when I had breakfast it was fantastic it was well presented and the the quality was great. I spoke to the lady on shift to pass my complements to the chef she said we have the manager working in there today. Thank you for a lovely breakfast and I will be back.

We had a family meal here as we were staying at the attached Premier Inn. Bearing in mind it was a Saturday night, it was so quiet - there was no atmosphere and only 2 members of front-house staff. Despite there only being a handful of occupied tables, the service was slow - the food had clearly been sat waiting and was lukewarm at best, we also had to ask for our plates to be cleared and desserts to come out after waiting for 40mins. What should have been a quick meal after a long day out turned into 2.5hrs hours of us wondering what’s wrong with the place. For a quick dinner, I can highly recommend the Harvester that’s only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was a sad affair, the quality of the food was not up to the usual ‘Premier Inn’ standard and they kept running out of various items. The coffee machine was broken, and has been for a few weeks according to the staff, so the only hot drink available was tea. All in all, not a great experience at this Brewers Fayre.

Took a taxi from my partners home after BOOKING for the carvery, it was around 1PM, to arrive with no greeting or instructions... sign said wait, waited for about 5 minutes untill someone actually came and seated us? once we said down, we again sat for around 5-10 minutes with absoloutly no interaction from staff or anyone, again, wondering what we actually do now? then.. to be told "they are running out of meat on the carvery" and there is 6 people WHO I MUST ADD DIDNT BOOK, bare in mind, the carvery was from 12-6PM! we were asked to wait to see if there is enough meat left?! (are they for real?). so even though we booked, we sait waiting with no service or anything at all, for 6 walk ins to finish their starters to see if they ate all of the carvery meat, in the meantime it LITERALLY SAT THERE, for about 15-30 minutes untouched, whilst a table of 3 (ME) who was potentially spending around £100 sat, dissatisfied.. it was honestly ridiclous service... we walked out after about 15-30 minutes accross the road to the HARVESTER CROXLEY GREEN, and the service and food was absoloutly amazing! above and beyond, Unlike The rising sun - Brewers Fayre.

The carpet needed a good hoovering and cleaning as did the sticky tables. Food was horrendously bad. What was supposed to be smothered chicken had one cheese slice thrown on two chicken breasts which where piled on top of each other. There was also a loud foul mouthed customer swearing down the phone in the background which was allowed to go on without anyone saying anything. Judging by the state of the place this probably a common occurrence so nobody took any notice. II would definitely not return even if it was for free.

My Beef Calvary was dry and has no taste at all. My son chicken salad was dry and he didn’t like it at all. My wife fish and chips was okay, she was happy with it. Otherwise, service was good. We will not for lunch or dinner again, maybe we will go for coffee next time.

Came in for a Sunday roast with my family at 5pm to find out that they are no longer serving their roast even though on the menus and online says its served until 6pm. So we were already disappointed, then when it came to ordering from the usual menu for cocktails we were told there was no stock for any of the cocktails on their menu so had to order a different drink which was the apple & raspberry smash. Food was okay mediocre having the BBQ wings and the big stack burger. The staff seemed very uninterested and no willingness to help or serve. Disappointing showing for a quiet evening were staff could capitalise and show that extra care for customers due to the lack of business in their restaurant.

Personally this is one of the worst brewers fayre I've ever visited I mean to start the lady who was taking my order was awesome 👌 thanks too her but she made a mistake and only charged me for a small coke when I wanted a pint the "manager" the belittled her in front of me saying this is why her stock take was off why she didn't just wait and pull her to one side I'll never know the "manager" after rectifying the young girls genuin mistake then charged me for a large coke but gave me a small coke glass not a 20oz the table I sat at after ordering i realised there was dried up ketchup all over it clearly not cleaned for a while salt shaker hole was jam packed i had to take the bottom out and pour it into my hand and pepper pot was empty and the food isn't the best either my beef and ale pie was clearly microwaved soggy as hell on the bottom and the top was so hard even other people in the place watched as I struggled to cut into the crust nearly breaking my teeth as I ate it gravy was cold and the chips wasn't even cooked properly in all honesty I won't be coming back here again I'm glad i was only here for 1 night very disappointing visit. The manager needs to learn how to manage her staff and not just berate them. i also ordered a refill hot drinks and was handed a dirty cup from the bar. If possible, avoid this place like the plague

Went downstairs today for a drink with my partner at 9:40pm before bed, but was told we are closed. Website states 10pm!! Extremely poor for a restaurant attached to a premier inn. Was also told last orders are at 9:30pm. What place issues last orders at that time, it's pathetic! It all worked out ok as we went to Morrisons which is just down the road to buy alcohol there and took it to our room, which actually worked out alot cheaper than the prices they charge!!! Seriously, rising sun needs to get a grip, your attached to a hotel!! Is it that hard to pour a drink? There is also no sign to state last order timings. AVOID IF YOU WANT A DRINK BEFORE BED/NIGHT TIME.

My husband and I are regular customers at the rising sun pub for breakfast and dinner. The services and the atmosphere would normally be warm and welcoming. We walked in this morning and greeted the server (Jane) with a smile and said Good morning to which she responded “are you staying upstairs?” *Referring to the hotel* and we said “no”. She then said “oh” as if we’re not welcomed to be served. She stayed in her position for quite some time *away from the till* as we asked her if we could pay so we can start dining in. She then said “but we don’t accept cash, only cards for payment so..” We both then said “we can pay by card so that’s alright” The server then said “oh uhhh okay” appearing to be uncomfortable in utilising the till. She asked us if we wanted continental or full breakfast to which we said continental at first but changed our mind to switch it to full breakfast right after. At this point she started claiming she “cannot change the option as we should have known what we wanted to begin with because she’s already asked us, and it’s our fault because we should have known what we wanted in the first place, because every other customers know what they want when they order” we apologised and asked her kindly to just void the order as it has not been finalised and she said we’re just going to have to pay for what she placed in the order and just have the continental instead as it’s our fault. We asked if she could add more items on the list so we can make up for the balance to have the full breakfast and she said that can’t be done, we told her that we are regular customers to which she responded with “I’ve worked here for five years and I’ve never seen your faces” **not to mention the look of disgust on her face as she looked at us from head to toe** We asked for the manager and she replied “well there’s no manager here until 12 o’clock so…” At this point, we’re already getting distressed as she kept telling us it was our fault and that we should just leave as there was no way for her to void it on the system and she won’t be able to serve until the manager can void the order which is at 12 o’clock when she (the manager) apparently starts her shift and that there is no supervisor around to do it either. Jane (the server) continued to attempt to correct our grammars and tenses as she carried on to make us feel unwelcomed whilst trying to make a point. Three other customers then walked in, she did not use the till until we left and we witnessed her happily serving and welcoming them anyway and made it clear that we had to leave as we were told because she couldn’t have us in the establishment any longer. We headed to the rising sun pub after receiving a bad news and we went there knowing the place and the ambient will cheer us up. The communication skill that this server displayed is utterly unacceptable which made us feel discriminated against and after spending ten minutes of trying to make sense of what just happened and just wanting to really have a good breakfast, she did not even want to cooperate with us to begin with, we decided to leave as we were rejected multiple times instead of trying to making customers feel valued and respected.

The member of staff that we first dealt with who was in brewers fayre uniform was really friendly and very helpful, but that's where the good things stopped. My dinner was cold when it came and was average in taste and then I waited 35 mins for my sweet before I went to the bar and asked where it was. The other staff dressed in black polo shirts seemed to just wander about and occasionally pick up the odd used plate or glass, not sure what they were paid for but they didn't do a fat lot !

The place is in need of a clean. Tables were sticky and pretty much everything looked run down. The seats need replacing as there is no padding. It took over an hour for us to get our food which was barely warm. The waiter who brought the food was eating and talking to us with her mouth full of food. She had chips in her hands she was eating. On top of that the staff were shouting at each other across the pub. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Very helpful staff. It's very nice tasting food. Had the bacon cheese burger and the kids fish bites. Didn't have to wait too long for food or have to wait too long between the main meal and desert. Could do with a menu for younger kids who have less appetite. The breakfast the next morning was lovely. Only downfall to the breakfast was the eggs but that can't be helped when they are in the heated trays.

Really good service we ate there as it's in sittue with the premier inn we stayed at. The staff were very accommodating. After a 16.00 hrs tour start time we at the WB Harry Potter studio tour, we got back to the hotel at 21.05 hours. They usually stop serving at 21.00 hrs, but because we had only had a hotdog at the studio tour, the staff were kind enough to cook food for the children. I can't fault the Brewers Fayre at all. 100% would go again.

We went for Mother’s Day. We thought it odd that the car park and restaurant were empty but soon realised why. There was food and crumbs all over the floor and it felt generally unclean. The bar staff took about ten minutes to put our orders through as they had no idea how to use the till. Despite there being only a handful of other diners we waited ages for our starters (garlic mushrooms and chicken goujons) which were over cooked, albeit hot. The mains took ages and we had to chase up where they were. The meals arrived and were cold, we were a family of 5 and the restaurant was empty so there was no excuse. One diner had the carvery (roast self selection) which was cold and shrivelled up. We asked for our money back as by that point we had been there well over an hour and had no hot meal, despite the restaurant only having about 6 other tables occupied. I am surprised this restaurant is still open, it was an awful experience. Thankfully we got our money back and left. I would have 0 stars if I could have done.

I came by myself to try and visit the place. As I entered, it was quiet, and there's two staff standing behind the bar. They acknowledged me by looking without verbally greeting me. I enjoyed my starters, which is soup of the day and prawn cocktail. I decided to have it in the bar, although it's the same menu in the restaurant. Soup is perfect, and the prawn cocktail is fresh and has a good presentation. I had my main course, which is sirloin medium rare.I created the sides, my way of eating healthy. Although, I noticed that they did not rest the meat that I ordered before plating it because there's blood on the plate.The service is average on the floor. No food checks, minutes after they served the food. They just come to collect the empty plates when you finish. Ordering food is by the bar, and you have to let them know the table number where you sit. I would suggest tasting the red wine you ordered before taking it to the table, as mine tasted like vinegar. Perhaps the bottle has opened for days. I guess they have to label the date they opened the bottle to let them know how long it's been displayed in the bar. The supervisor offered to replace my glass with another, which I enjoyed with my sirloin. I noticed that they were chatting with their guest by the bar and staying there without checking the floor, and as I said, they would come out on the floor when the customer finished their meal. The first thing I noticed when I sat on the table was their menus. It's sticky to the touch. Just imagine how many customers touched it, and their salt and pepper are not filled and dirty. I have to get it from another table. I also noticed that my side of the seat on table 40 is dirty. However, I noticed that they sanitised and wiped their table after use. The place is nice and cosy, and the music is just the right volume for a quiet shift. The place is very promising if only they have attention to details. The staff have the right attitude and will really please you. They have menu knowledge and can recommend something that's suitable for me and the things I requested.However, they just need to do some checks on customer satisfaction. I did not order my dessert because I am quite full. I just went to the bar and ordered cappuccino, but their coffee machine is already cleaned and switched off. I been offered a complimentary instant coffee instead.

Ate here when staying at the Premier Inn. Food was pretty average. The breakfast, in particular wasn't good with rubbery eggs and bland hash browns. Not what I'd normally expect from a restaurant associated with Premier Inn.

It’s such a shame that the rest of the staff were so poorly let down by the kitchen. Every other department would score 5 stars but the food was late, cold, dry and poorly cooked. Within a restaurant that only had 5 customers it is totally unacceptable to send out food 45 minutes after being ordered and for it to be cold and dry. Very very poor.

If your looking for somewhere to eat out, don't bother going to the rising sun Watford, very disappointed. There was seven of us in there for an evening meal. We where seated at our table but the service was really slow. We didn't order starters, the restaurant was half empty but it still tock nearly an hour from ordering to receiving our mains. 2 of the dinners where so over cooked and tough. We then waited half an hour to order sweets so we didn't bother. Funny how we asked for the bill and it was there in under a minute. Some of the staff where friendly and helpful the others where not. The only reason I gave it 1 star was the waiter checked if there's was anyone there with an allergy and noted it on the order.

Clearly understaffed on our family visit. We arrived later than planned due to traffic issues but really to have just 2 staff serving on a Saturday evening was pretty rubbish although once being served, the staff themselves were friendly and helpful enough. We arrived and were seated and told that the member of staff would be back in just a few minutes to take drinks orders. We never saw her again all evening. After we'd finally made our choices we went up to the counter to order. The queue was growing rapidly. Even after ordering our food took 45 minutes to arrive. My pies were almost inedible; undercooked pastry bases and rock hard and burnt lids. No offer of any sort of refund when I complained, just a "sorry" and noted my complaint When it came to ordering deserts we were warned that there was a wait so we didn't bother. It was getting late for our kids and we'd been there nearly three hours as I was.

The absolute worst restaurant/premier Inn food venue I've ever been to! No staff, 25 minute queue to get a hot breakfast and when you get to the front, nothings there so you have to wait longer, continental breakfast options were none existent, coffee machine didn't with properly. Ended up leaving after 1 slice of toast, wanted to complain but no staff in sight, waste of time, go to Morrisons down the road if you need a meal!!!!!!

My friend and me went to this restaurant along with our wives and toddlers. My friend had a gift voucher with 40% discount, for some reason they said it's invalid and said we must have already redeemed it. Why would we use the same discount again? The food was just average, nothing special about it. The order was messed up and had to return it. They missed some dips also, and we were already fed up and didn't bother to tell them. My wife had ordered a coffee from the unlimited hot beverages. But there was no milk in the machine. When I told this to a staff, the first thing she told me is you have to pay for the coffee. I don't know why she assumed for the second time that we came for some free food and coffee. And when I told her I had already ordered the coffee, she had to confirm by asking the staff in front of me, as if I was lying. Well I didn't come to steal your coffee. Never going again!

Awful experience, experienced very poor customer service from one of the staffs.she was so rude and acted as if we were eating without paying. When asked for milk which was empty at the coffee desk she asked us to pay first we told her that we payed still she repeatedly asked to pay and went and checked at the front table before providing milk, We haven't received the food we ordered, every time they served the food we had to mention and point out from the menu what we ordered. We have been there last year, never experienced anything like this. This particular staff with the head scarf made our evening horrible. Never gonna go there.

Very poor service overall specially the customer service. Also the vouchers which they sent to emails offering discounts are all fraud. When i used mine thay said voucher is invalid and already been used,which i never have and asked us to contact head office. Food was alright but you may not get dips and extras or upgrades like wise said in the menu.

I was notified the food was on its was but the delivery driver took a detour around Watford , hung around the town centre for a while and must’ve noticed my food . I refused to accept it as it was 45 minutes late and cold . 2 days in a row has been a disaster so I’ll remove the app .

There's nothing fast about this fast food restaurant. It took us 40 mins to order and get our food. If we'd known it was going to take that long, we wouldn't have bothered ordering and left. The woman behind the counter was very rude. She was snapping at customers and when I politely asked her how long more the wait would be, she rolled her eyes and then went to get our food. So, obviously it must have been ready before then. However, she missed a box of chicken and we didn't realise until we went home because we'd already spent far too long in Morley's waiting to want to hang about any longer. The food we did get was alright but we were so hungry by this point, I'm not sure anyone should trust our judgement on this point.
