Just had the most beautiful meal here tonight. You get a warm welcome as you walk in. We had some lovely drinks. You can also bring your own. I had Panner Balti and my husband had the Butter Chicken. We had Onion Bhaji and Chicken Chat to start. The food was beautiful. The service was amazing. We came a few weeks ago for my birthday and forgot to write a review. The service and food was exceptional then too. Thank you so much for another lovely night, We will be returning. I would recommend this place to couples and families and even friends meeting up. Wasn’t a visit but a delivery Only half order delivered said could pick up other half in 20 mins Not happy phoned on behalf of daughter complained half order cold by time pick up eventually agreed to redo whole complete order if cold order could be returned on delivery asked for cold order told him it was at my daughters girlfriend’s address where they were going to eat it originally before there cock up and could collect from there looked at me like I was stupid after much quibbling and me biting my tounge no apologies and being quite rude he left considering it was there mistake my daughter won’t be ordering from there again not impressed

Me and my boyfriend went in for NYE and ordered 2 Popadoms, 2 starters and 2 main courses. Firstly, the popadoms cost £4.50 for 2 popadoms and a tray of chutney - which is ridiculously overpriced. I ordered the noodles with chicken which tasted like leftover microwave food, tasted more like mash than noodles. My boyfriend got the mixed kebab which was average at best. Then the mains arrived which honestly honestly was just awful, bland chicken tikka masalas, small rice trays. However, the thing that really ruined our experience was honestly the rudest waiter I think we have ever came across and compelled us to write the review. He would not answer any questions about the menu without snapping, and rushing us extremely. He dumped the food in front of us, never made us felt welcome once and when we asked to pay he shouted saying pay at desk! Before walking away, will definitely not be returning. We understand it was a busy night as it was NYE at 6pm, however when this restaurant is charging £51 for 2 soft drinks, popadoms and dips, 2 starters and 2 mains, it is unacceptable. We have had bad service, and bad food before, but never anything combining as bad as this.

The food is quite good overall. They make food spicier on request. Appetizers are on the smaller side. There are no desserts or typical Indian drinks available. Worth the trip if you are local. The beers, thankfully, are served cold.

Went with a friend for the first time and was not disappointed. Menu had some different chef recommendations, so I found it hard to pick a main. I was happy with my choice and we enjoyed it. Friend took a doggy bag home. We will definitely be back. I was a bit cold here, probably due to the size of the place, so maybe wear a jumper. Parking is to carpark at the side of Iceland.

Came Sunday evening for a meal and what a great atmosphere from entering to leaving. Staff were friendly and courteous. Lots of choice, opted for the special meal deal, which was any starter, any main and any rice and naan- which looking at the other Indian restaurants the set meals were meals I wouldn't have had! opted for Onion bhaji starter - 3 of the nicest, tastiest and lightest bhajis yet! Main - Lamb chops which was accompanied with a dish of curry sauce, a dish of coconut rice and a peshwari naan, OMG these were all absolutely amazing. Great food and excellent value for money. Although I live in Liverpool, I will definitely be paying another visit real soon.

Just had the most disgusting meal from here, after waiting two hours and spending nearly 50.00 the food was cold and tasteless , I am fuming my son bought me a gift card for my birthday from just eat, I wish I’d spent it elsewhere !!!!!!

As the title of my review says we’d rather travel from Crosby to Risa Spice because the food there is simply gorgeous, always consistently fresh and tasty, we can honestly say we’ve never had a meal that’s been disappointing. The manager and staff there are second to none, nothing is too much trouble even when they’re rushed off their feet they always make sure our order is complete. Since our move we’ve tried a few curries in our local area, but we’ve agreed it’s been nowhere near as enjoyable as Risa Spice, so a trip through the tunnel is a small pice to pay for great food and a welcoming service. Thanks guys!

Had a few takeaways from here lately great food but become more and more expensive to be honest a vindaloo chips Bombay potato 2 poppadoms came to 18 pound were as a few months back it came to 13 pounds

Staff were really nice and welcoming, only issue being that they concentrated all of the staff on a party of about 32 people who were in. So the rest of the customers were left waiting while they served them. I felt they should have left at least one member of staff to attend the rest of the tables. Food was decent enough and will definitely return to try other items on the menu. Was 100% value for money getting the banquet which is available on Sundays and Wednesdays, £12 for starter, main, rice and naan. Hot tap in the bathroom wasn’t working, wouldn’t cost much to sort it so sort it 🤷🏻‍♂️. But all in all better than other much more expensive restaurants.

We go to Risa Spice at least once a month as our local curry house. Prior to discovering it we used to go much further afield but Risa Spice is spot on so we would rather come here now. The food is always very tasty and priced quite cheap for the flavour and quality of meat. The service is great here as the servers are always smiling and serve food quickly with prompt service. There is also a deal night wednesday and sunday for £10 pp including starter, main, rice and naan which is super cheap and filling. Risa also allows take youf own alcohol which is great. All in all I would highly recommend Risa spice. Their friendly service, great tasting food and great prices makes it an ideal curry house! Well deserved 5 star review

Visited on a very busy night, both food and service was excellent. Great choice of food on the menu and a real bargain on weds and sun for the banquet.

Had a dinner with my family celebrating my anniversary,took 55 minutes to get or meals delivered, asked to have my fish meal well done and it was well burnt, the lights in the place were very pale and uncomfortable, in despite of the good reputation of the place my first hand experience was very bad,don't think I will repeat it

Ordered from here last night then received an email saying order delayed by 25 minutes another 25 minutes later got a phone call saying we don't deliver in your area but you can come and pick it up!! Avoid takeaway, ordered at 7.30 recieved 8.50pm, arrived luke warm thats being generous, 2 items missing, called to tell them was spoken to like an i was an idiot, came and picked my order up 20 minutes later and got a replacement 20 minutes after that, asked for some discount was told no, never again

It was so noisy you could not hear conversation over a small table for two people and we left in disgust as we could have been informed at the time of making the reservation that the restaurant was fully booked for hen and party goers. The proprietors did not need our twosome as the place was packed and therefore just greed on their part.

My Daughter booked a family meal here for us,although we live 10mins away it's a place I've never been , pleasantly surprised what a beautiful Indian meal we had and can't fault service at all nothing was too much trouble for these guys thank you for a lovely evening

As a family fairly new to the New Ferry/Port Sunlight area, we have been nothing but thrilled to discover Risa Spice. I have lived on the Wirral all my life and tried many of the Indian restaurants it has to offer. The wonderful dishes Risa Spice offers are second to none; big portions, freshly made with fantastic flavour. If you phone and ask for recommendations of dishes, their friendly and incredibly polite manager is only ever happy to offer his help. Likewise if eating in the restaurant itself. Thank you Risa Spice for continuing to impress our taste buds and for your staff for their forever friendly, professional and diligent service. Can’t wait to go back soon!

My favourite of all Indians/curry houses in Birkenhead. Have probably tried 12 or so and this one by far outshines the others. Good choice of different curries (rather than the usual Kormas, tikka masalas, pasandas etc). Have been in and also taken away and food is always hot, delicious, arrives in good time, never wrong and more importantly for curries, they are always consistent (in a good way!). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious curry on the Wirral.

We have Just moved to the local area and I have read a lot of reviews and heard a lot of good things about Risa Spice. This evening me and my husband went for a lovely meal,the service was superb we where greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome!!! Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fabulous we started with lovely poppadoms with a chutney tray all the ingredients where so fresh. The lime pickle was fab.... and the poppadoms where warm, crispy and very tasty (not greasy at all) This was followed by a chicken chat which was very tasty. Them we orders are curries there where a huge selection all explaining in detail what they consisted of. Mine and my husbands where too die for :-) very plentiful there was plenty of sauce, very tasty with the freshest of ingredients. We had pilau rice and Keema rice and breads Peshwari and cheese and onion Nann bread all fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. We have tried numerous curry houses before in the local area but this tops them all.... more people need to know about this place they will not be disappointed!!! Thanks for a lovely evening..... We will be returning :-)

Food amazing but £6.95 for children's chicken nugget and chips is a bit extreme they were not that good can't understand the price

I have ordered from here many times and it's by far the best Indian on the Wirral. Plenty of vegetarian options, ample portions and the staff are very friendly. If you are eating in, don't forget to bring your own drinks.

Love this place, genuinely couldn't ask for friendlier staff. They'll do anything for you, including bag up anything you don't eat and let you take it home! Excellent atmosphere and wonderful food for a good price with generous portions. Can't wait to go back!

A comfortable indian restaurant serving good quality indian food. TYO drink.All round good value for money but especially good on Sundays and Wednesdays. Can get busy on Sundays and Wednesday evenings so best to book. Caters well for large groups.

visited birkenhead many times over the years not sure how I never saw this restaurant which has a good selection of food with chilli symbols beside the dishes as a guide to hotness. i had the murgi mossolom with chapatis which was hot but nice the onion bhajis were nice too

Went with 3 friends for a meal, brilliant attentive service great food and lovely atmosphere, you can either get drinks at the bar or take your own, food choice excellent and come out piping hot and well served and presented, a gem Hidden outside the main eating areas of Wirral.

we order from from our favoruite indian restaurant 2 or 3 times a month. The food is always fantastic and tasty and quickly delivered. Last night 3/3/18 we ordered our usual order. it was delivered quickly. The food, however, was not up to usual standards. Unfortunately our curries had very little meat compared to what we usually receive. Is there a new chef? If there is you need to tell them to stick to the original recipe. We are debating of changing to another restaurant even though we would be sad to do so.

Our local and favourite Indian. Great value and never a bad meal. Unfortunately now and again they tend to forget items off the takeaway order.

We often get a takeaway from the Risa Spice and have never been disappointed. We have also eaten in before but last night was the best curry we have ever eaten. As as extra bonus you can take your own alcohol and we happened to go on a night where they had a special offer on so it was ridiculously cheap.

We love this curry house, but we have been visiting using their fantastic deal on Wednesday and Sunday, but beware try not to order too much as the portions are what you get if you paid full price and the first time we went on the deal we wasted a great deal of food!! Highly recommended and a regular one for us.

This is my favourite restaurant in the Wirral, every time we go we get wonderful service and the food is always excellent and we have been here at least 7 times both for take away and sitting in, recommend this place, a little hidden gem of the Wirral.

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews I had seen on Trip Advisor. Don't get me wrong the food overall was very good but I was left disappointed. I opted for a lamb rogan josh which was EXCELLENT and a chicken biryani which was good. The service was a little slow and they seemed disinterested.

Immaculate premises, very impressive.Vast choice of starters and mains, with a Wednesday offer of starter, main, rice & nan for only £9.95. Bring your own drink is a welcome option.Not at all rushed, staff are well presented, polite and very accommodating.Finally, not forgetting the food! I was in a party of nine and we all had something different and everyone commented on how good the food was and that we must return!.

Another fabulous meal here at Risa Spice. Tried a new main - roshuni baghar and it was really delicious with mushroom rice and peshwari naan.

We love this restaurant, we had a craving for Indian and where better to go than Risa spice. We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and they had already had many of the tables reserved, so I suggest if you go on Sunday or Wednesday to make a booking as they are busy throughout the evening due to their offer. Any starter, any main, any rice and any naan for £9.95pp. No wonder why they are so busy. Our meal came to approximately £24 for two without drinks.The service is impeccable, staff friendly, ambience good and bring your own wine if you're a drinker.The food always tasty and the quality is good. You can also ask to alter the spice to your own heat tolerance.Enough space for a pram but no baby changing facilities. Restaurant is nice and clean, please ignore the surrounding area as this place is a little gem in the rough. There is a car park opposite the restaurant down a side street next to Iceland which is free in the evenings.Typical curry house, free shot, chocolate upon payment. Best curry house for miles, highly recommended.

This curry house has an extensive menu and the curry I has, chicken sagwala was delicious. The popadoms are freshly cooked with freshly made sauces and the service was excellent. You can take your own alcohol or get a drink at the bar. I shall certainly return to work my way through the menu!

You can tell the food is high quality. Nothing out of packets. All made fresh which is well worth waiting for. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food is delicious. I had a chicken curry in a mango type sauce (can't remember the name) Prices fairly good. Always go here for special occasions.

Every time I have been here the service has been amazing and the food even more so, I have tried a number of dishes and all have been outstanding.

My hubby and I visit a few times a month , usually for the Wednesday night banquet. Amazing value always beautiful tasty food. Last week we visited as a family of 4 with our granddaughter, who unusually decided she wasn't very happy . The staff were amazing as were the other customers. They couldn't do enough to try and help us calm Eliza offering balloons and lollipops. Thank you ! we were a no time made to feel uncomfortable, and you were quick to point out that you are a family restaurant. The waiter was also very knowledgeable when discussing my daughter s nut allergy . Extra points as you are a BYO, I hate being charged £17 for a £6 wine when eating out . Excellent place .

I come here often and recently visited for my birthday with my girlfriend. Food is always perfect and the price is very fair. The staff are always friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who likes top quality Indian food.

We ate here 11th March eager because the restaurant had five stars. The wait for food exceeded one hour and arrived one dish short. Waiter annoyed my partner by suggesting he had cancelled my mushroom rice which of course was not the case. Both very disappointed with our meals, expected the chicken to be tender as it normally is in a curry, in fact you could slice it as it was quite tough. Partner is a keen curry fan but having sampled the curry we decided to pass on desert and left instead!

Swayed by the good reviews on Trip Advisor I visited on a Sunday, it being a Buffet Night. I asked the waiter if they used 'Hotplates or plate warmers' as soon as I walked in, and he replied "Yes" so I went in. The place was fairly busy but not that busy, yes a lot of takeaway traffic granted - yet still had to wait nearly and hour for my starter of Chicken Tandoori, not stated in the Menu whether 1/4 or 1/2 of chicken. Well it was a 1/4, so hardly any chicken there to eat. The main of Chicken Jalfrezi was good, plenty of green chilli but not much onion, still pretty good though.I re-iterated my request for a hotplate when I received the starter, the waiter said it "would come with the main". The main appeared but no hotplate, I said to the waiter "Where's the hotplate or plate warmer?" he replied "But the plate is hot", surely they cannot be that naïve or ignorant?By the time I finished the meal, the plate was cold the sauce was cold, given a Nan Bread but not used it, the waiter said "Stuffed, yes" I replied "No" as I would normally have poppadoms and Bombay Aloo on a normal night, I wasn't about to use a Nan Bread to mop up cold sauce.As Risa Spice don't seem to reply to Trip Advisor, I guess I will never know if they actually do know what a hotplate is and what it is for, I will try the other term "Food warmer" as well, next time I visit an Indian.No hotplate/food warmer/plate warmer - no customer ! I don't like cold food, and I have no idea how other people put up with it, maybe they like their food cold - there must be at least one Indian in Wirral who uses them?

Great meal! Been searching for a great Indian in the area, and Risa Spice has definitely one. The curry was full of meat (not the usual disappointing takeaway curry with two bits of chicken!) and all the food was spot on. Food also arrived 15 minutes earlier than predicted. Will definitely order from here again.
