Best Indian restaurant in Colchester! Came here for my dad’s birthday and so happy we booked. Food was amazing and the staff were super friendly, especially our waiter. Made us feel very welcomed and gave excellent service. Our waiter helped with suggesting vegan options and the Rogan Josh was our favourite. We will definatly be back again soon! Thank you :)

We had a takeaway a few weeks ago which we thought was quite disappointing. The portion size was great, which is good considering the price point. The food was however pretty bland, the Madras wasn't even remotely spicy and the chicken in it was tough and chewy. Needless to say we won't be back.

Went here on 31/1/25 for the first time. Met at entrance by polite waiter who took my jacket. We were shown out table. Our drinks and food order orders were soon taken. Each coarse was was delivered at appropriate time. The food was delicious, the service first class. The best Indian meal I've ever had. I shall return soon.

Really good food and attentive service. There was some confusion with the online booking, but staff accommodated as soon as possible. It was very busy and the food was excellent.

Didn't dine in the restaurant I had a takeaway worst curry I have had it was cold and small portions and very over priced got told good things about rim jhim but I should have ordered from somewhere else my son doesn't eat curry so had the chicken and chips the chicken was a battered chicken burger you would get from ice land for £1 and there was a toddler size handful of chips in a small plastic box and that cost around £13

Although it does not look much from the outside the food and speed of service were amazing. This was our 16th different curry house as part of an essex curry club and it will be number 1. It could do with a lick of paint and it felt a bit squashed but this was overshadowed by the amazing food and service.

We were blown away by the vibrant flavors and creative dishes at this restaurant. The fresh ingredients were evident in every bite. The staff was kind and attentive, and the decor was warm and inviting. It’s a place we’ll definitely be returning to soon.

I had a nice experience here , the food was amazing , there are many dishes to choose from and they are very tasteful, various spices used which is very good. The staff members were respectful and very open to explaining what the dishes meant and what they contained.

I couldn’t stop myself sharing this review as we had the food from here for the first time and it was truly amazing. Especially the people who were serving was totally awesome make us feel special. I must say best Indian food in Colchester so far. I have tried others as well but never had such authentic flavours. So, definitely recommended 😊👍

Paid £70 just to get the worst stomach ever! Waited over an hour for the food and 20 minutes for them to bring the drinks over. Korma tasted okay but left me fighting more my life on the toilet. Misses had a chicken madras and it was the most bland madras she's had that lacked any flavour. Servers are about as useful as a chocolate teapot, constantly bumping into you, slow and make no sense when they're talking to you. They had customers coming in for collect orders who had been waiting for 2 over 2 hours. You honestly couldn't pay me to go back to this place.

We had an amazing dinner tonight, just as we expected! We always love visiting here when we're in from Australia, and tonight was no exception. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. This place is a must-visit!

Food was nice, a bit oily for my taste but overall very good. We were 4 and they gave us a table in which we barely fit. I would have liked to have more space to eat more comfortable. Service was amazing. They don't have any kind of lassi which I found it weird. Drinks menu is mainly focused in alcohol.

This is our favourite place to have an Indian meal. The all you can eat on Sunday is brilliant. Lots of variety, including lamb, chicken and vegetable curries and lots of sides. Very reasonable and friendly service too.

Lovely lunch at the buffet, so kind to our small children ☺️. We’ll be back!

The best Indian restaurant in Essex! The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable, always ready to assist with a smile. Unsure of what to order, I asked for recommendations, and the waiter was more than happy to guide me through the menu. Their suggestions did not disappoint—the food was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience.

My partner and I are both vegan and often have Indian food as it caters for vegan options. We went into the restaurant directly and the owner spoke directly to us about all of the food we could have (and cooked it specially to make sure it was vegan). The food was delicious! We highly recommend for anyone who is vegan and wants great Indian food. I recommend going in as then you can discuss directly with the staff!

First time visiting, tried the Sunday Buffet. It was delicious, a good choice of dishes, easy going atmosphere. Friendly staff. We left with full bellies and very satisfied- will definitely be back!

I've visiting here for over 15 years and will keep coming for another 15 years. The Zara chicken (paired with coconut rice) never fails and cannot be beaten, i have tested many curry houses to try :) Fantastic service with a warm atmosphere. Always my recommendation for best curry house in Colchester.

Food was delicious. Suleman was a great waiter, very friendly.

Firstly, we booked online a table for 14 people then didn't hear back any confirmation so I emailed a day later and didn't get a reply back to that either (I should have looked elsewhere at this point), however I called them up and they found the booking and confirmed. On the day they called an hour before arriving to check our party of 14 were coming. Upon arrival we we shown to 3 separate tables with the best part of a metre between. THIS NOT WHAT WE BOOKED. It made it impossible for the tables at each end to have any interaction and conversation with the other people in the group. When I spoke to the waiter he made it clear that we couldn't pull the tables together. No apoligy for their blunder, I would not visit again.

Delicious food, friendly service

All in all, I can highly recommend the restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious. It was immediately recognized that my glass had a small stain and replaced immediately. In any case, the waiters were very attentive and accommodating. I would rate the price-performance ratio as good to very good.
