Rikko Sushi in Croydon

Service is great & so is the food, but not on this occasion 😒 I buy takeaway to be delivered sometimes. Today Friday 12 July 2024, went in person placed order, got it & went home..... I am not sure if the chef was having a bad day. I Had to throw away most of my food..... I opened the food 😳 OMG.....what should have been steamed was fried, the meat was old, very hard & looked like it was refried in soy sauce, the chicken chowmein was burnt 😳, the duck in chowmein was tough, again old meat.. .....the little that I ate was not enjoyed I guess the chef was having a bad day at my expense.....??

The shredder beef has no beef, all deep fried flour and 3 strips of beef, very hard and unable to bite. The whole dish is burned.

Best Asian takeaway in Croydon!!

Great quality, delicious sweet and sour chicken. Was ready 15mins after opening for our preorder. Great service.

Good starters and some decent dishes here. I like the chicken karagee and chicken with mushroom. Rice dish a bit disappointing but giving it 5 stars as it was all good and pretty cheap for Croydon

Gone down hill! Had it a few months ago, thought could have been a one off but sadly tried again yesterday and no where near as good. Curry looked gross and almost didn’t eat it.. dark beown, with serrated components and oil. Never seen anything like it. Didn’t taste too bad but very sweet. Think it’s time to find a new Chinese sadly!! Spring rolls were soft, didn’t seem fresh and under whelming too

Super quick and friendly. Only ever got the Bento boxes but everything I've had so far has been top quality. And only costs 11 quid too! Recommend the ginger beef, I get it as one of the options every time now. No complaints at all, superb take away.

Probably one of the worst sushi & bubble tea places I’ve tried. The sushi was falling apart and the bubble tea had no ice and the tapioca was over cooked and mushy…

I asked if there was any egg in the noodles I ordered - I was told “no”. After eating my food I had an allergic reaction meaning there were traces of egg. Was very upset and disappointed by this.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! Absolutely horrible. The guy on the phone has no customer service. I ordered prawn chow mein and the prawn is off it smells really bad & smell off. When I contacted the shop to explain what happened and that I haven’t ate the food so he could came back and collect it. The guy got extremely defensive and rude even though I explain that he could get it back so that he see what I was trying to explain. He told me that it’s impossible. As he does not want to fix my problem but wants to keep my money. I’ve now had to order something else from somewhere else for my family

Terrible Would never eat here again

I am extremely disappointed with the order that i just received. If if i could give no stars i would! I paid nearly £30 for 2 bento boxes, the quality or lack of it was the worse that i have ever had. If my car was not in the garage i would have returned them to Rikko. Inside the boxes there was 3 slices of salmon in each box (basically 1 salmon portion shared between two), 6 tiny florets of broccoli, 1 prawn toast (as in 1 slice of a baguette), 3 prawn balls. The vast majority (over 70%) was boiled rice. Since when is it acceptable to pay £30 for a box of boiled rice. I know that everyone is feeling the pinch due to the cost of living crisis but these bento boxes are an absolute insult and i will definitely not be ordering again!

Overprice and undersell. That's their strategy. And... It doesn't work. Place smells firstly. Secondly portions are small but price is high.

It is the first time I have eaten here and was walking past on my way home and thought I would give it a go. I ordered a beef Thai green curry. The beef was super chewy and had a slimy texture to it. Thai green curry normally is slightly sweet to taste but this has no sweetness to it and was just not what I thought I would be getting. Maybe I should have ordered Chinese not Thai…… very disappointed

I work away from home and it’s hard to find a good take away your used to but this place was perfect. The food was outstanding, good portions and didn’t have to wait long. Would highly recommend

Best Fresh Fish and chips ever had

Rikko came recommended but we have a bad experience and wish we had gone elsewhere. The lady who answered the phone was abrupt which wasn’t a great start Sent incorrect food and the food that was correct was bland and not as expected. Disappointed to say the least So never again for us

We ordered from this place for the first time as we wanted to try it since we spotted it. We had the Pork Gyoza, Steamed Siu Mai and Kung Po Chicken. Everything was really tasty and you could tell that they used fresh ingredients. I reckon that we just had the best Gyoza and Kung Po Chicken we have ever tasted. This place definitely is going to be our favourite local from now on, testing out the sushi next time. 😉

I placed our order online and was given an estimate of 45 minutes delivery time. The shop is about 5-10 mins away in the car from our home. Imagine our surprise when we had a knock at the door about 10-15 minutes after placing the order. Obviously not freshly cooked! The food wasn't very hot. All dishes were generous in quantity, but that is really the best I can say about it. The egg fried rice was stodgy. The spare ribs were dry and looked like they had been around the block a few times, as did the very, very dry pork in the chow mein dish appear. The chicken satays were average. The only other passable dish was the beef with ginger and onion. Very disappointed. It will be our first and last order from them.

Delicious salmon nigiri and California roll, highly recommend!

Just ordered a takeaway from Rikko and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it! We ordered the Goyoza and Dimsum platter, Szechuan Mixed Seafood, Chicken in black bean and Chow Mein. The amount of Seafood in the Szechuan was amazing and all melt in the mouth. The flavours were delicious and they are not afraid to use chilli 😋. We have just found our new favourite takeaway. 5 stars.

Fantastic takeaway sushi tonight from Rikko (Uber eats). Genuinely better than most restaurant sushi I've had previously. Had a selection of Maki, California rolls, and nigiri, with some tasty veggie gyoza. Maki, in particular, were great - even the cucumber maki tasted super fresh!

We've ordered takeaway twice now, both times very impressive. Whether sushi or chinese, been very good, great portion sizes, never greasy or feeling super unhealthy, and delivery has been prompt. The kung pao tofu wasn't particularly good, but everything else has been excellent

Had the kung po chicken and egg fried rice, my partner had the broccoli stir fry for the lunchtime deal. Both served quickly and really tasty. The portion size was quite large, so overall a great deal for £5.

Sushi is well made and taste nice

I ordered from Rikko via just eat. There was a slight hiccup however the customer service was exceptional. Within 5 minutes we had a solution. The food was great tasted fresh and lots of flavour. Would order again.
