Lovely spot to stop for a coffee & a cake on the commute into the city centre. Coffee was lovely, service very friendly and there's a good range of bike items and reading materials on offer. It was glorious sunshine when I visited so enjoyed sitting by the sunny window.

When visiting Cardiff, you absolutely have to visit the café 'I want to ride my bike'. Just a stones throw from the National Museum of Wales it has everything a bicycle enthusiast could hope for. With a name partly inspired by a Queen song (I know because I asked the owner), the friendly staff and the totally unique atmosphere of this establishment is well worth a visit. You can pick up parts for your bicycle here or even have it repaired whilst enjoying a cake and the beverage of your choice. Even better, the premises is fully licensed so you can also have a beer or whatever your tipple is whilst eating your flapjack. Having visited this amazing establishment, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I can honestly say that I've never visited another café quite like this one. The unique atmosphere and brilliant concept of this establishment should make this place a must visit when in Cardiff. I can promise that you won't be disappointed. And when the staff members tell you to get on your bike, they mean it with the very best of intentions. This gets a top rating from me.

Visited this place with my family. The service was awful. The worst I have experienced. I don't understand what the waitress problem was. It was like we were a bother to her. They should treat their paying customers better. The waitress was rude and dismissive. There are far better places to eat in Cardiff, ones where you can actually be appreciated as consumers.

If the weather is too cold for an outdoor coffee this is a great place to grab a drink if the National Museum Cardiff cafe is busy. The food options are somewhat limited but perfect for a lunchtime meal away from the crowds.

I was directed here by Evans Cycles after suffering a puncture in my mobility scooter. Arriving with a flat tyre and no means to resolve the issue, the very kind waitress gave me coffee and assembled the various bits and pieces for me to fix it. I bought a patch kit and was loaned some tools and given all the help I needed. The amazing young lady took my tube away to the sink to find and mark the leak and in 15 minutes I was restored to full mobility. Full marks for "Ride My Bike" and a whopping ZERO for Evans Cycles who could apparently do nothing at all with all their staff and workshop facilities because they didnt stock 10" inner tubes. Thanks again!

I visited this cafe last week and was appalled by the awful service I was given! The server was a young boy around 18/19, shaved head and was extremely rude and ill mannered, I’m pretty sure he went by the name “Jacob”. I will not be coming back to this cafe and I strongly advise you all not too! My drink was also poorly made.

My favourite local cafe. Always customers in but never feels too busy, you don't feel rushed at all if you want to just work on your laptop for a bit whilst you have a coffee. Nice selection of snacks & lunches, and all the cakes are amazing! Lots of bike bits and pieces for sale too.

I attended a French conversation meet up last night at this café and had a great time! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There is a great selection of soft and cold drinks and there are lots of small and large tables to suit different customer needs. There’s a friendly atmosphere and the location is very convenient as it’s just opposite the museum car park and a short walk from Cathays station!

Ambiance OK if you like cyclists pushing their bikes past you, coffee good, food OK, service just terrible. The girl on duty at midday February 17, 2019 was rude, unhelpful, impatient, passive-aggressive, and clunked plates down on the table. I'm not sure what her problem was, but why she felt entitled to take it out on the customers is beyond me. Not a cafe I'll be visiting again any time soon.

I arrived at 12:30pm on a Sunday, the cafe was already quite busy. Literally, straight after I arrived, a group of approximately 16 cyclists arrived, who had a large table booked. It seemed that they were regulars, returning from their Sunday morning ride. The cafe was now pretty much full and it seemed that my coffee order got lost in the 'rush' - so I had to chase-it-up. Whilst waiting, I enjoyed looking at the cycling memorabilia, and small cycling accessory shop. A must for cycling enthusiasts.

After walking past this coffee shop many times I now feel I’ve really missed out! We’ve started going to the cafe on a lunch time to meet and unwind. They have the best coffee in Cardiff and the most delicious fresh and light cakes. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they always bring over hot drinks with a smile and in good time. The panini selection is always vast, Brie and cranberry is my favourite so far, although yet to try some! The atmosphere is relaxed and chatty but still very tranquil and a great place to watch the world go by and listen to some of the music. There’s also lots of cool cycling related artwork and I always notice something new each time I visit.

Quick trip while visiting museum. 2 tortillas, coffees and cold drinks came to £20, a bit pricey for portion size though "light lunch" is an adequate description (£4.50 for panini and there is a soup option).

Wife and I visited Cardiff and went to this café near to the National Museum. From the outside, it appears fairly small but when we entered, we were surprised at how much space there was. Plenty of room between tables and although the theme is cycling, it wasn't in your face.

We were very glad that we were driven out of the museum cafe by annoying Christmas music, as we then found this lovely cafe just over the road. Strangely it is also a bicycle repair shop at the rear, but none the worse for that.

Sometimes hard to notice it as its slightly off the pavement, could do with more lighting to attract passers by. Not dark inside, actually bright and spacious. Tends to be a bit too quiet inside. Coffee and cake is ok and the staff are friendly. Bit annoyed about the free wifi as you can only log into it via a Google account or Facebook.

Went here on a whim after visiting Cardiff Museum to kill some time on a day off. I was pleasantly surprised! The cafe is spacious and contemporary in design, with plenty of seating. There appears to be a working bike shop at the back of the cafe - which is a niche concept! They offer a surprising array of drinks, including some lovely craft ales and ciders as cold refreshments, and a good range of hot beverages. They also had an array of cakes and snacks. The prices were decent - I paid £2.40 for a cold drink and packet of crisps but that is certainly competitive considering the other local offerings. The cafe appears to be dog friendly (there was a beautiful springer spaniel under one of the tables) and there were kids having a great time running around and peering into the bike workshop. The cafe is wheelchair accessible with a built in ramp, and has an extremely spacious disabled toilet. The bike shop owner and cafe worker were very friendly. Really recommend this lovely place - this could be your new favourite retreat from the bustle of the highstreet, or is perfect for families to have refreshments in a chilled out environment.

Came across this place after walking around and finding a lot of chain restaurants which we didn't really want. My friend and I had a pasta, bread and a bottle of wine, all of which were lovely. I thought it was well priced compared to some Italian restaurants I've been to recently. One thing, I've looked at its website and it doesn't show a menu. I'd like to bring some friends here but I know they'd like to see the menu first. I, however would definitely come here again.
