Had a fantastic night for my sons birthday.Always always the place to be .I just love the staff they are so patient even though they were forever being bombarded with birthday balloons. Thankyou for making the night so special but then they always do xxxx

We decided to try Rico’s as a change from our usual Italian restaurant in Poulton. We knew that the steep staircase leading to it would pose something of a problem for my mobility issues, but it was doable. The staff, service and food were good. This being a very popular venue, it was crowded, with tables set close together to fit in the maximum amount of customers. Therefore, the noise level was too much for it to be a pleasant evening out. When we left we decided we would not be back because of this - hence the three star rating.

Splash Showgroup were playing at Windy Harbour Resort and went looking for something to eat but didn't have a lot of time before the show. We found Rico's and explained the situation and they seated us and brought us The Best example of Italian Food we've had in a long time. Service was Amazing as was the food and Prices whuch were very reasonable. A Jewel in Lancashire that has to be visited. We can't thank them enough for such great service. We'll be back. Visited for dinner with family. The bruschetta starter was really generously sized and really tasty. The mains chosen were spaghetti marinara, four seasons pizza, salami pizza, Hawaiian pizza and kids margarita pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the house red wine was perfectly acceptable for the price. The service was good too 😊

Service, great. Starter good. Main, atrocious…. Even with added Parmesan and pepper the Carbonara was bland, and, for some reason contained cream, why? I left most disappointed ☹️

I'd not visited for a year due to a couple of bad meals but I'm pleased to report that the food quality is much improved and will definitely be returning.

Spent 90 pound on a meal and the sauce like water not as good anymore after owner retired

What can I say about Rico's? The best Italian restaurant I've ever been to and the most friendly staff you can get! I've been coming to Ricos in Poulton-le-Fylde for around 18 years now, and honestly, I've never had a bad experience or meal here. Ordered a Serloin Steak Diane for myself tonight and my mother got a Fillet Stilton. Both came with vegetables which were nice and crunchy and potatoes served with the Diane sauce which was absolutely amazing! Obviously accompanied by a lovely pint of peroni, or two! I will never stop coming to this fantastic Italian restaurant. It is 100% worth the money you pay! Not only that, I've been here to celebrate various birthdays and they always make you feel special, bringing out the instruments and a candle in a desert courtesy of the restaurant. Get yourselves there people, you won't regret it!

Fantastic service, friendly polite without being over personal. Food was excellent, cooked beautifully with a varied menu choice. Quick service for food and drinks house wine decent too. Average priced in current climate.will definitely return with rest of the family

Popped in for evening meal, we were 2 couples. The restaurant was lovely and spacious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Good choice on the menu and we all agreed our starters and mains were delicious! Definitely will return.

Me and my friends/family go to Ricos often and have been for ages and love it every single time!! Food is always hot, fresh and they are very generous with portions. Even with takeaway. Service is always quick and food is amazing!! All the staff are so lovely i definitely recommend 🫶🏼

Having been a mainstay in Poulton for over 30 years you pretty much know what you are getting, the menu doesn’t change apart from daily special and if you have a seat by the window there’s a good view too We haven’t been here for ages so looked for a bit of nostalgia on a very busy Saturday evening without a booking. As always they do everything to get you a seat asap and we got a table without waiting Mixed reviews over the food, my husband’s salmon pasta he said too him back to times past and met expectations. However (and sadly) not so for my pizza which whilst cooked on the top was a little doughy in the middle. Perhaps I’m fussy about pizza having such great pizza restaurants in Poulton (Pulci, Brew and Bones) but this wasn’t really for me. All in all, an ok experience, it was very busy, we were grateful to get a table, others loved it so maybe just an unusual service night for them affected my meal.

The food was delicious, a real treat & the service was attentive without being over zealous. The atmosphere was pleasant despite some raucous elements.

Rico’s is a high quality establishment that is worthy of the reputation it’s built up over the last four decades. I had the calzone and it was delicious. Large in size and plenty of flavour. The service was really good with staff committed to delivering a friendly and welcoming experience. The ambience of the restaurant created the ideal setting for a bank holiday meal out. It had a good view with the backdrop of an historical market town. Slight areas for improvement might include having a single named waiter/waitress. The bread sticks were a really welcome addition, but I don’t think they should be served in the packet.

Went for a works Christmas do, 11 of us in total. Lovely clean restaurant and attentive staff. Had the mushroom starter and to be honest it was very bland, Mains I had a pizza, quite nice but nothing special. Was ok all in but wouldn't rush back anytime soon.

Not been for a long time but still as good as ever. Lovely food and good value.

I went here with my partner and had a wonderful time. The food was fabulous, I had seabass and scallops, my other half had filet Rossini and both main dishes were amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly, rare but no blood and my seabass was as soft as butter. Beautiful. The staff were really attentive and actually very funny too. I live in Surrey but will definitely be back for another visit when I'm back in the North West.

Always a great meal, service and atmosphere as good as it gets. Been going to Ricos for 20 years and as all restaurants it has its ups and downs. But I have to say 99% of the time Ricos is pretty much spot on.

Been a few times over the last few months & every time the service has been great along with the food. It’s always busy, so a wait on food is expected & you don’t mind waiting for lovely food. Would definitely recommend!

Booked Rico’s because Pulci Pizza was closed and I wished I’d not bothered. The restaurant is very noisy and cramped. I could barely hear my partner speak. The staff were friendly on arrival but the manager soon became nasty when my partner found bones in his food (one of which almost cracked his tooth!). We informed the manager, who barely responded and didn’t apologise or offer any sort of resolution. At the end of the meal, I asked what the resolution was for the bony dish and he got sarcastic and said, ‘Oh, so you want to get a free meal? Great. Very nice.’ He whisked away the dishes without a word and came back in a huff with the bill. Although he’d removed the fee for the bony dish, he was extremely rude about the situation. Aside from that, the food I ordered was average and overpriced. Safe to say, I won’t be returning here again!

We had a lovely family trip to ricos, the breadsticks on arrival are a great touch as you look through the menu. The food arrived really hot, everyone loved their pasta and pizza, i particularly loved the lasagne! Drinks were reasonably priced and tasty too

Great food, friendly staff. Pizza's are excellent. I was too full for dessert but will be back soon for some of the tiramisu.

I've been frequenting this restaurant for many years, the last few meals I had here were not as good as they used to be. The food always used to be cooked perfectly but now not so good. I'd like to hope you can turn it around, you must know what to do to get back to your previous high standards.

We visited here after not being here for a while. We had no reservation so was happy we got a table. Unfortunately I was disappointed I chose the vegetable lasagne, I’ve had this before a couple of times and it was as described on the menu , layers of fresh pasta with fresh vegetables. On this occasion I didn’t find any fresh vegetables within the pasta just some strange tasting tomato sauce kinda thing which at first I thought was meat and I’m still not really sure what it was. The only fresh veg was two small pieces of quite hard chewy broccoli. It has put me off returning. My husband had the vegetarian pizza and he said that the base was quite doughy . So sorry Rico’s probably won’t come back .

Visiting from out of the area and unsure of what to expect, we booked the table a couple of weeks ago and could tell over the phone that the restaurant was obviously busy. When we arrived last night, we were served quickly, we were able to make a request for a birthday and the food was absolutely beautiful. We each had something different off the menu and have all said we would walk back to Poulton-Le-Fylde (from Manchester!) to have the food again. We WILL be back! 🤩

Best Pasta in the Fylde Coast. Been coming to Ricos for 30 years, and over them years been to many other restaurants but it literally is the best restaurant. Service, food quality, athmosphere.. and the best food out of all Italian Restaurants. Highly Recommend

New to the area we were told that this was the place to go. It was my wifes birthday and so we booked a table last Friday 17th Feb. When we booked I explained that it was her birthday and they said "great - we will bring out a cake and candle and make some noise and wish her a happy birthday" - that did not happen and to rub salt into wounds they did for some other customer. I am gluten free and they were helpful with their guidance of adapting some dishes. The first and main course came out very quickly and the initial service was good and the food quite tasty. We aasked for the "pudding menu" and asked them to give us 10 - 15 minutes so we could let our main course go down. We sat there and waited and waited and countless waiters walked passed us on a number of times. Waited 45 mins and then got up and left. As we were paying our bill the waiter said "what about your pudding?" It was laughable really

A few years since we last visited with business colleagues and friends , but must say we have missed a trick in not returning sooner, the food and service was exceptional as always and everything was great. Would recommend to everyone and would book early specially Weekend. We will back for sure👍

The food was amazing but the customer service was out of this world. Some of the guests decided it was a good day to be racist but the lads went to their table and almost kicked them out. Definitely going back. Everyone sits on the sidelines when events like these happen but not these guys. Thank you so much.

Been here a few times and always enjoyed but the standard seems to be dropping each time and the prices seem to of gone up quite a lot, I understand everywhere is going up but the quality seems to of gone down. We will definitely return as we like the place but just hope next time it’s a better experience. I’ve given 4 stars as in the past we’ve had some really good experiences but on average it’s probably just ok.

Just a fantastic experience every time we go. We went for my daughters 13th birthday and we all enjoyed it as we always do. Best restaurant going! I’ve been going here for 20 years and it’s just amazing.

We both enjoyed the great food and brilliant atmosphere in Rico's this evening, Walking in we were greeted by Marcus and Francesco who always make you feel welcome. We didn't have to wait long to be seated even though it was very busy.

Had a lovely Retirement /Birthday celebration meal. Food fabulous and hot. staff very attentive. Very busy and popular booking early is a must. Would recommend.

Great place and so friendly. We turned up as a group of 6 adults and 7 children (3 highchairs). They was so friendly and accommodating. They made sure the kids food came first which was great. Would highly recommend not just for being family friendly but also great food.

As usual food, staff, and atmosphere great. We've been regular customers since Ricos opened in 1989, and know Rico quite well. If you go ask for Texan Skins, jacket potato stuffed with bologna,tomatoes and cheese ,gorgeous.

Ricos is a lovely little Italian restaurant, and of course the main attraction is the food. Unsurprisingly it is very popular, so I would thoroughly recommend pre booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you do get a space you won't be disappointed with the finest Italian meals on offer. I can definitely recommend the fillet rossini.

Visited Ricos early afternoon and was greeted like family. Warm welcome, friendly banter. Table was perfect. Food excellent, especially the mussels big parties booked, but never felt rushed. Staff so friendly, not intruding. A big thank you to Gino Frsncesco, and James, also the kitchen...

My friend had just returned from the army so a few of us booked a table for 8pm to celebrate. We arrived at around 7:50pm and weren’t greeted initially and when we were we were dismissed abruptly and told to wait in the bar area....

Cannot testify to the quality of the food as i left within 30 minutes, extremely small and crowded with no atmosphere, a very rude women manager and disorganised staff meant i was waiting for almost 35 minutes before i was seated and at this point...
