We were originally sat near the door and asked to be moved, we then sat on a 2 seater table near the bar, there was a 6 seater table opposite. During our meal people arrived to collect takeaways and 1 person bent over out table whilst we were eating....... we had to push him away, my main of pollo alla crema was not the best and the chicken tasted "odd" I left it, told the waiter (which was ignored) we paid the bill of £74. We have waited for over 6 months to be able to afford a meal and this was our choice .......... so upset...... they should not be so greedy as to put 2 tables soooo close to where people collect their takeaways...... really unhappy with our experience tonight...... in fact I am gutted....... tge starters and service were good, but not being able to enjoy my main was very unsatisfactory......... very poor.......

Extremely disappointed. Father’s Day meal and was really looking forward to Mimmo’s. Been a while since I was last there and had excellent experiences every time but I think it will be longer before I go again. Website out of date. Set menu not been available for years but is viewable on the website. Waited twenty mins for order to be taken and had to ask. Got fobbed off for another five minutes. Ordered cheese garlic bread and cheese/tomato garlic bread for four. Both were very bland to the point salt had to be added to taste. Waited 30 mins for these to arrive. Mains were excellent for all of us. Faultless. Not one smile from a member of staff. Rather abrupt in their customer relations. If only the speed of service matched the little time it took them to get the card machine when we asked for the bill.

Mothers Day ruined, booked a table for 6:15 and waited at tiny bar looking over other poor people eating in a cramped space. No apologies given or update! Waitresses struggling to get to tables for people stood in between tables waiting to be seated. Waited over 45 minutes for a table with no sign of table ever being given. Eventually walked out in disgust! Total carnage! If they had said they couldn’t seat us when we booked we would have booked elsewhere. Going home to a take away. Live in Thornton but Won’t go again.

No customer service got food and drinks order wrong big birthday no acknowledgment what so ever very disappointed and when bill came hard to decipher but feel drinks were put on that were not on original order but they brought wrong and didn’t take off

Never fails to impress. Food always delicious and fit us in at short notice in the busy period before Christmas. Friendly service with a smile.

Firstly we asked for a jug of tap water, this didn’t arrive until we asked again at the end of the main course. Pizzas were ok bases were too thick and dry all pizzas lacked toppings. One pizza had two extra toppings which increased the cost of the pizza from £8.95 to 15.95! Pineapple and tuna is so expensive?? The final nail in the coffin is that two deserts were ordered one of which was still frozen. The staff were informed and they took it away. After 20 or more minutes we asked about the dessert, only to have the waiter say no we have none left stuck his nose in the air and walked off. One of the other waiters offered another desert but by this time we wanted to go. Poor attitudes, poor service. Will not be going back unless desperate!!!

Party of 4, some food good some quite bland . Ordered more drinks before the main courses but they never arrived..to be fair it was a very busy Friday night.. a little bit disappointed but will probably return.

From start to finish was very disappointing. We had booked a table for 8, but due to illness we changed table to 5 half an hour before arrival. When we arrived they squeezed 5 of us on a table for 4! My friend asked the manager to put an extra table at the end as there was no room at all. Let’s just say he wasn’t very pleasant with her request. We then sat for nearly half an hour for our food order to be taken. We ordered a second round of drinks for only half of them to arrive. My garlic bread was soft and doughy but as I don’t like to complain we didn’t say anything. My main was a chicken dish with rice, the rice was rock hard and crunchy! I mentioned this, no apology but offered a shot of lemonchello half an hour later! We won’t be returning, thoroughly disappointing evening!

Went for the first time in years at the weekend. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff, it was very busy & the wait on food wasn’t too long considering how busy it was. Starters & garlic bread were delicious . My main came & was very disappointing, however, the waiter was very apologetic & brought me the menu to choose another option. The replacement meal was cooked fresh and was very nice. We were offered complimentary drinks, by way of an apology, as we had to eat our mains separately. Would definitely recommend & will return again soon

My first visit last evening. A delicious meal with a very good choice of dishes. Superbly cooked, and attractively presented. Good wine, and very pleasant and welcoming service. I highly recommend this restaurant - and very much look forward to my next visit!

We have eaten at Mimmos for many years but haven’t been for a long time. We were very pleasantly surprised by not only the quality food but also the service and ambience. We would definitely recommend and return.

Fantastic food and friendly staff. My mum hadn’t been to a restaurant in over 3 years due to Covid and being vulnerable and then shortly after the pandemic she became very poorly. She had often talked about having a steak rossini at this place and was not disappointed when she eventually got to order one on her birthday. She said that it was delicious! My beef stroganoff was beautiful too! The prices are expensive but it is a real treat and I would definitely return!

Went with a large party many of who paid cash for their meals. However no receipt was issued and money did appear to have been registered in the till. At end of night told that there was nearly £80 owing which was paid to allow us to leave the restaurant. Asked for evidence of why there were allegedly monies outstanding and was provided a hand written list of the monies received. Went back a few days later and provided evidence that all meals and drinks had been paid. After a protracted discussion was refunded the additional payment and also told the were not allowed in the restaurant again If you go please to this restaurant check your bill!

Food was excellent. Our waiter was fabulous and no complaints re-us bringing in a birthday cake. For a very impromptu celebration.

We didn't have a very good experience it was my daughters 50th birthday the owner was not very friendly we took a birthday cake in and ask to present it after the meal I know they were busy but we went 3 times to ask to bring the cake in we waited 3/4 hour he brought the cake in as we were putting our coats on and do believe party next to us had the same problem also they have not updated there web site for 2years so everthing was alot more expensive and it was offering 2 course for £10 my husband as about this and the owner jump down his throut so this is false advertising so wont be going there again

Food was good service was a bit slow, we took a birthday cake asked for it be presented after the meal, after asking three times it eventually came taking three quarters of an hour, I don't think we will be rushing back!

Went for my mums birthday and had a great time and great laugh with the staff.

Was waiting ages to be served for drinks. Roughly 30 minutes before anyone even came to order drinks and then another 40 minute wait for someone to take our food order. Was in the restaurant going on for 2 hours before the food came. Ordered two steaks one medium-well which came bloody. Also another meal was very bland and was returned to the kitchen. Many customers eating pizza seemed happy enough and were served efficiently so maybe best sticking to ordering that. There was also loads of kids running riot all over the place, around the tablets and up and down the stairs.

My husband and I found this place by chance last night and although they were incredibly busy they welcomed us. We had drinks, starters and they let us share a pizza with different toppings. The food and service were excellent. We live in Kirkham and will definitely go back. Lovely to find a smashing authentic Italian restaurant.

Just went for a birthday meal. Very slow service and the staff were pretty rude. The food was average at best so won't be eating there again.

Booked a surprise party for my partner. 23 people. Mimmos accommodated us very well and the food was lovely.

My daughter went last night for her friends 16th birthday. They booked a table early. The food was very slow at coming out, which was not their fault. When asked if they wanted dessert they said yes and the waiter, who I am lead to believe was the owner was extremely rude to all of them. He threw the dessert menu down and telling them they have 20 minutes if they are ordering dessert. They decided not to order dessert, as why would they after this! When paying for the bill they were over charged! I feel if an adult had been present they would not have been treated like this! Very disappointed and would not recommend this place.

Meal wasn't too bad but certainly not great. Restaurant was overcrowded trying to get the maximum people in they could. Food was not worth what we paid for it.

The food was good and the atmosphere authentic. Service can be a bit slow when busy but that's only to be expected. The staff are friendly and the prices reasonable. All in all a nice meal out.

Booked in advance as it was our honeymoon spoke waiter to ask where we can sit just flicked his head and said over got shown a seat by the older waiter got a couple of menus waited 10 minutes for a drink food was 45 minutes later that was just the starter the other waiter was good but the younger one was busy speaking to his friend good food but not great service normaly I don't write reviews for restaurant but only 12 people in the restaurant the food was delicious

Cant say we had the same experience as previous visitors to Mimos. We had to wait an hour for our table which was booked. We ended up waiting in the near by pub for our table. This was not ideal due to my suffering with Parkinson's and having to walk back and forth. The waiting area is very small and the restaurant is very dimly lit. We had Garlic bread for starters which was tasteless. Our main meals were also very poor quality. We also had to wait almost 45 min for our main course. On leaving the waiter's were very sorry for our experience. We could not blame them for the service. They just apologised for the way we were treated. U think service from the kitchen to the table needs a big improvement and also try a new chef and you could possibly servive

Mimmo's is an absolutely fantastic restaurant with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The service is brilliant, very warm and welcoming staff, very accommodating. The prices are more than fair for the quality of food and the menu has a nice, wide range. 10/10 I will be spending more money there in future, happily!

Looked after us brilliantly this week. We had a large party and everything went without an issue. Food outstanding as ever plus attentive staff.

The staff were brilliant and looked after us. Food top notch as ever, so reasonably priced as well. Other similar places in FY5 and Poulton are twice as dear and nowhere near as good.

It was a last minute decision to have a meal out and managed to book a table here, one of us was running late and the staff were extremely patient and kind. Both food and service were top tier and we look forward to coming again

Nice restaurant, with nice staff who work hard. I had calamari for starters which I did not enjoy as they were under seasoned and bland, however I went for a steak Rossini for my main (medium rare) which was cooked to perfection and really enjoyable.

Party of four with a varied choice between us, everyone’s meal was lovely, steaks cooked to perfection and we had a very fussy member of our party who never says that ! The restaurant was very busy and yet the staff managed to make each table feel like they were the only ones there. Think going round to your favourite Italian aunt and being able to order what you wanted and this is the vibe of the place. Excellent value for money good wine which was not over priced. Will definitely be returning as will our friends.

First time visit. Much enjoyed meal. Varied menu including a large specials list. We had 4 different meals all of which were lovely. Nice atmosphere but a little rowdy due to a pre Christmas works do in the restaurant. Staff are pleasant ad service was nice, unrushed but not slow, great to have a few minutes between courses. Will return ad recommended.

My wife and I come here every now and then. Never had a bad meal and we’re always taken care of by the staff. The food is excellent. My wife loves the Rossini and I normally get the Tortellini special. Highly recommend.

Arrived to be shown to our table the place was full and a good atmosphere. At first we all thought the chap was joking, but turns out he was deadly serious. I was so shocked that you can book a table only for it to mean nothing. We was very fortunate the customers family of 3 that taken our table kindly gave it back to us because they heard us moaning. The man that worked at your restaurant wasn’t prepared to anything it was awful customer service. I’m not sure of his name but later in the night he said he was getting a flight back to Italy in a few hours. So this information should help identify the individual. Shame he didn’t go sooner in my eyes. Anyway we eventually got our table around 20.30 and after ordering our starters they didn’t arrive until 21.30 which I find very excessive to wait nearly an hour for our starters. When my main arrived it was the wrong ingredients on my pizza so that had to go back. We spoke to some of the waiters about the service we had received and they didn’t seem that bothered or offered any apology. We had a meal here tonight it was absolutely gorgeous! Never been before l! We had the garlic bread with cheese and BBQ spare ribs for starters both so tasty! I had Cannelloni and my husband had the Chicken alla Crem ! Great food great atmosphere and reasonable price! We will definitely be back 👍

We visited to celebrate a family birthday. The lighting was very dim and it was hard to read the menus which are printed on black paper. We had 2 gluten intolerant members in our party and we found it hard to feel confident about what to order. Although efforts had been made to identify allergens via a sheet at the front of the menu, it wasn’t clear which sauce was used with which dish and it was confusing as to which dishes were actually gluten free. The waiter did not know if the prawn cocktail was gluten free. The advice could do with better organisation/recording differently. With hindsight we should of perhaps rung and spoke to someone before we came. The food was average, staff were polite. Although the portions looked small they filled us up. Good range of specials available.

Dropped in for an early evening meal. the welcome was warm and the food and service was good. Alex even put some Parmesan on my Lobster Ravioli. A nice drop of wine and a good experience all round.

It doesn't look like our familiar Mimmos because of social distancing but the food hasn't changed... Still fabulous! This traditional Italian still remains one of our favourites, lots of choice, great pasta dishes... My go to is the prawn and courgette, my partner had the steak which was cooked to perfection and we had dessert too... All perfect 👌

Good food within walking distance is a bonus. Always seems busy.

My nephews 20th and obviously it was very different. The rules and directions are very clear, the whole experience was covid safe, which is a big deal for majority. Everything was as perfect as could be with the rules and regulations, mimo, Vito and the...

Poor meal, poor service, we did not complain and left a tip, no thanks for that and the bill was snatched out of my hand, I told them I like to take my itemised bill said they would get one for me, but did not. We will not return. cost for 2 £75 plus tip, not good value
