Bistro Italia in Wyre

From when we arrived it all felt very rushed. Starters no sooner finished than main course arrived. Starter was calamari which was as chewy as a car tyre. Lobster ravioli arrived and 8 pieces of ravioli and that was it husband was still hungry when we left. Very noisy. Have been before and enjoyed it but wouldn't rush back after this experience

The best Italian around! Never had a bad meal here, the ambience and everything that goes with it makes the meal and experience even better! Me and my husband love visiting for date nights, with family and friends! The staff are super friendly, we highly recommend:)

Big table celebrating a retirement. Food was great. But best of all was the staff. Plenty of them. All very patient and friendly. By far the best asset and best service had in a long time. Especially for a massive table. Nothing was too much trouble. Well done guys. Only downside. I would say the toilets need renovation.

Visited between Christmas and New Year. Food was amazing. Partner had the duck salad to start and was blown away by it. I had the ribs which were so tasty. Followed with lasagne and crème seafood pasta. Both were delicious and clean plates all round. Staff are attentive and service is nicely paced. Not rushed at all. Will be back soon!

We was served by the stunning Katie. She was a pleasure to speak to and made the night. I had the magenta pizza and it was delicious!!

4 of us ate here lastnight, I ordered a caprese to start…there was no seasoning, very bland, normally caprese comes with balsamic glaze which it didn’t. Just a plate of tomato’s and mozzarella. When I asked for balsamic glaze, I was given balsamic vinegar. Prawns were average, duck pizza was also average. At one point, the staff sang happy birthday to someone and turned the lights on and off repeatedly which was unnecessary and could have potentially caused a fit as my friend who was with us has epilepsy!! She had to cover up her face until this stopped! We won’t be returning.

Bistro Italia is always our go to place for a lovely night, Louise the manager is extremely welcoming and the staff are well trained.

Had meal tonight big table £400 just for food then service charge of nearly £ 40 without drinks beer and wine expensive I had chicken appolo very bland had to ask for pamazan & pepper . Think it must be the normal for poulton now what a shame it's lost its small village feel It's just for yuppies or people that have lots of money to spare

We are a family of 11 and were celebrating an 80th birthday! We were very well looked after and all the staff were excellent and made the night very special ! Our food was also excellent and we all really enjoyed ourselves !! Thank you so much Bistro Italia - it was a delight!

Stunning restaurant with amazing staff and superb food. Dined for the first time as a walk in, family of four with food intolerances and nothing was any trouble at all. Staff were amazingly helpful and the food was beautiful. We will be back a lot of times.

Food: Good - Could do with some garnish on some of the dishes. The Pasta Carbonara was tasty but lacked any colour. Service: Mixed - Some staff are enthusiastic, smiley and chatty, others looked bored and miserable. Atmosphere: Busy and lively. However, every time a table had a celebration they play 'Fire Ball' which was very load and completely ruined the atmosphere. I'm sure there could be something that is more appropriate. Whilst we where there they played it 3 times in about 10mins. Very off putting. A few small changes and improvements could make this a little gem.

I was recommended to come here by a colleague, what a fantastic recommendation it was we will definitely be back. Lovely decor, my wife has a soft spot for cherry blossom so that definitely contributed to it! We was served by Phelix, very charismatic and professional man. I have spent 10 years managing in the food and beverage industry, he would have been an absolute pleasure to work with I am sure, the perfect guy to have on any team, you're very blessed to have him. The food was spectacular and Felix was an absolute legend with serving our table, he was both professional and had good banter which is perfection for a server today. He knew his stuff. He knew how to be polite and he was increidble. Cheers lad.

Very poor service from the staff. Long waiting times between serving food, (It wasn't very busy). 40 minutes to get the desert menu only to then bring the bill after asking multiple staff. Staff are not paying attention to customers. No replacement serviette once used. The food was ok. It's very disappointing overall.

I went for the first time last night with my exercise class. Had a super time! Fair prices and wonderful food - both in taste and presentation. Arrived quickly at the table, and the staff were very attentive and professional, especially a lady called Amy, who provided excellent service with a smile. Enjoyed it very much, was a wonderful atmosphere and would definitely go again x

Six of us were greeted warmly on arrival and the excellent service continued throughout the evening. An extensive Italian menu with good wines. Everyone enjoyed their starters and mains. My AGNOLOTTI ALLARAGOSTA could have been presented more attractively with a little garnish as at first sight it didn't look appealing.

Impromptu tea out on Friday. Booked last minute & managed to get a table for 2. Restaurant was very busy, good atmosphere, we had a very tasty starter and pasta dishes. Piping hot, good portions, excellent service and good value as usual.

First time to this restaurant: first impressions not good as when we walked in there was no acknowledgement from the three female members of staff in the vicinity of the bar area. Wondered where we had to go so went round the corner where we gave our names to a lady with dark hair who took us to our table and that was it and off she went. No interaction or conversation at all. Eventually a waitress came over and took our order. Food was great, however, overall service was not. A young male member of staff was very pleasant, helpful and smiled, smiling makes such a positive difference. Would go back for the food but not for the service.

Firstly..what a lovely warm welcome as soon as we walked through the door! I had asked for an accessible table because my Mum isn't massively mobile and this was taken care of along with the Manager kindly taking my Mum's arm and helping her to her seat. The food was absolutely delicious - really enjoyed it! Honestly - excellent customer service with a very attentive team and excellent food! Nothing was too much trouble ...it can be hard for my Mum as it takes her a while to walk anywhere but the Manager couldn't have been nicer. Couldn't ask for more really and we will definitely return. Thank you 🙏❤️

We have been to bistro in poulton a fair few times it’s usually our go to when ever we want to go out for a nice meal or even just dinner. The staff are all so pleasant, also always look clean and well presented and the food has always been amazing. We have never had anything negative to say about the food or staff, if you haven't already been we would highly reccomend it. Fairly priced aswell and the portion sizes are really good. We will continue to come here for all future events as we have never been disappointed. Excellent service guys !

Food was disappointing, meal advertised as Pork Fillet and was gammon medallions so was ripped off with the price, pork was also quite dry. Service was great, staff very lovely and attentive.

Always amazing food, definitely recommend

Arrived and seated within seconds gentle staff when approached, seated and began to order. The chefs was stood waiting to cook as no one was in the restaurant when we arrived at 1845pm-1930pm. £28.50 for a fillet steak, myself had the cheese sauce and truffle chips (+£3) my partner had £28.50 for a fillet with the peppercorn sauce. The piece of meat was a nice piece it lacked a lot of seasoning and the sauce is far to much it covers most of the plate. We had BBQ ribs which was tender as a starter but the garlic bread we had was returned immediately, it was far too greasy covered in oil and not cooked fully. But they did take it from the bill. We won’t be returning, it wasn’t the best. £79.25 was for the full meal and a soft drink each.

Great food & service! We came here for Valentine’s Day and it was really lovely. The staff were great and the food came out pretty quickly. I went for the gnocchi and my partner got the spagbol, which were both amazing. We also got the lemon cheesecake for dessert, which I highly recommend.

What a hidden gem. We have passed by so many times and thought it was a small restaurant not a 'tardis'. We went with our dining out group of 30+ and they coped very well any mistakes were rectified without a fuss. Food was very good, wonderful atmosphere. Owner was hands on and friendly. From arrival to leaving the experience was shocking, staff didn't seem to want to be there, staff clearly needed to be trained on how to wait and dress as one waiters skirt was so short you could clearly see the top of her tights. met friends there and was passed from one staff member to another with the attitude of being an inconvenience, One member's response to been asked to seat me was I'm busy ask someone else. Another member of the party had an inedible starter and asked for something else then as he was eating his new starter our main courses arrived and the waiter placed our mains down in total disregard to what was on the table and we had to move our starter plates to one side, our main courses where not the best, they seemed to use the same sauce from a starter as they did on the steak and the chicken dish the best part of the evening was leaving the building.

Visited bistro Italia 3 times recently. The food was excellent, the service brilliant, the staff very polite. The lady manager was very good and has completely transformed the place to the better. It was a very pleasant experience!! Strongly recommended!!

Went for my husbands birthday as always had a fabulous time lovely food. A lovely surprise from the owner am sure she is the owner she’s always there to greet you. This lovely lady really made my husband’s birthday memorable she did the birthday music and a bowl of ice cream with a candle just so lovely & thoughtful. I would 100% recommend this place the staff are lovely the food is gorgeous & the atmosphere & surroundings are lovely & petty. I’ve been coming here for special occasions for quite few years now & never once have I had a bad experience. It gets busy so recommend you book before hand.

Food came far too quickly in-between courses. In and out within 1 hour. Also was charged double for all our drinks, had to go back next day for our refund.

Won't be returning here again, for the money the food wasn't worth it, the service, they want a fast turn around we asked for a 10min break after starter and it came out about 2mins after we finished. The prices are to expensive for thr food and check you drinks bill as they charged double for every drink, my parents went back and ended up getting £60 back and she blamed the staff, it wasn't, the owner has done this little trick before.

Visited Bistro Italia as part of a birthday with a party of 8. The food was delicious, however we requested we had a break between the starters and mains. Within a matter of minutes of finishing the starters the mains came out, and therefore we struggled to finish. Also upon returning home we realised we had been overcharged by £52, so had to return the next day for a refund. Disappointed as I enjoyed the food, so hopefully it was a one-off.
