Their vegan Meze was delicious! Portions are quite big, went for large meze and was quite a big plate!

Our favourite breakfast spot, simply (perfection)

Ate here with my husband and daughter. I ordered the “Egg florentine” which was not at all what I got. The menu said it had spinach, red peppers and onions with 3 eggs. It was actually 90% spinach, almost no egg at all, and an odd mix of vegetables like lima beans, carrot, corn, green beans, and it was swimming in water at the bottom and topped with green olives. It was not good, and not at all what was described on the menu. To make matters worse, I got food poisoning from eating here as well. The environment was nice enough, but would not recommend this place. Edit: I’m not sure how else to reply to the response I got from the owner so hopefully this gets to you. I came in yesterday. Yes I had the egg florentine, my husband had the Scottish Breakfast and we got a pot of tea as well. My daughter and husband felt fine, but I got severely sick about two hours after eating here.

Really pleasant cafe for breakfast / lunch plenty of options. Only tip for them to include in the menu dessert / sweet pastry as small nibble :)

Nice quaint cafe with great food ◡̈ Especially the chicken schnitzel - mushroom cream sauce made it super tasty and the chicken has a crunch and is not dry. The pancakes were great - if you like dense pancakes, this would be for you. We ordered 3 drinks and 4 mains at the price of £50.

I have seen mouse here and not clean! It's over priced as well. Have Involved the city council if Edinburgh.

Very nice place. The owner is so friendly and the service is great. The food was delicious and the coffee is proper 👌 I'm looking forward to coming here again the next time I'm in Edinbugh. A nice, friendly place to sit and relax.

I cannot recommend enough! They have a lovely variety of food that is delicious and great value for money - so many options too! The staff and owner are all very helpful and friendly - always make you feel at home. The cafe itself is very cozy and clean - by far my favourite place in town. Highly recommend!

Great cappuccino and lots of different varieties. Was actually a nice place to go and sit which isn't too far from Arthur's Seat. Most of the coffee shops I walked past were full of tourists. It was refreshing to find this place for a nice quiet coffee and chill.

A lovely cafe with great food (and also a great price)❤️ My very first time having Cous Cous, and this was a good experience. It’s mildly seasoned but still flavorful. There are many veggies and chicken in the rice (but the chicken is quite chewy) Salad is so fresh, I love it so much😻 The pitta bread is also perfect in every single way! *This is quite a big portion of the meal (with so MANY fries) This is a good place for reading or working! The cafe is quiet and there are sockets under most of the tables. Overall, this is a cafe I would definitely recommend!

This is a fantastic place where my brother and I regularly meet. The coffee is Great and the People who serve are lovely. We also sit outside on good days and enjoy the atmosphere.

My kids and I love it here. Food is amazing and the staff are really nice. Son says best hummus and pita bread ever!

Super kuchnia z Bliskoego Wschodu, można tutaj zjeść śniadanie i obiad z potrawami z basenu Morza Śródziemnego, oraz krajów znajdujących się dalej na wschód. Warto spróbować kawy, ponieważ jest ona przygotowywana w tradycyjny turecki sposób. Obsługa w porządku, pomogła nam ogarnąć stolik na zewnątrz dla 3 osób i potem doglądała czy wszystko jest okey. Ceny w porządku, za śniadanie z kawką wychodzi trochę mniej niż 20£. Lokalizacja jest okey, 15 minut spacerku od królewskiej mili, ale widać z niej tron Artura, więc można wypić kawkę z pięknym widokiem.

This little gem of a place is fantastic. The staff are super attentive and the food is amazing. Would absolutely recommend adding this to your list to try out. They are also very dog friendly 🐶

They are always packed so I was wondering how good it is. Ordered scottish breakfast and it was good and very fulfilling! Might be a little greasy for me though.. especially for the mushroom and the potato. will try another dish next time

Wow! Some of the best coffee you can buy in Edinburgh and at a great cost. (Actual good coffee - not bitter) super cute quiet corner where u can read in the sunshine or hot tea inside when it’s raining (twilight vibes). (The iced sweet coffee is so creamy and yummy and foamy) and vegan options.

The place is quite busy but I was always warmly welcomed by the staffs. At the same time it’s surprising how the team manages the whole cafe with a huge variety of menu when they have such a compact kitchen. And my go-to menu, Medium meze, never fails. I regularly crave for their sautéed spinach. Well, there are reasons if a place is always so bustling😋

We enjoyed our breakfast, I recommend to order the turkish sucuk. The portion was generous, so it is a heavy breakfast.

Super leckeres Essen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top, nette Bedienung. Wir haben das Café leider erst an unserem letzten Tag entdeckt, waren dafür aber gleich zweimal an einem Tag da. Ansonsten wären wir wahrscheinlich jeden Tag vorbeigekommen. Der kleine Abstecher von den Hauptstraßen lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Trotzdem ist man schnell an anderen Attraktionen wie dem Holyrood Park. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und der Laden sauber. Bei unserem nächsten Trip nach Edinburgh, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

We come here quite often, as there are tables outside to sit in the sun and it's really pleasant. The staff are nice, and the food good. I particularly like getting meze - a little bit of lots of different Turkish dishes. Very filling - if I have it for lunch I can skip dinner! There is plenty of non Turkish food too, and it's nice. I like to get a cafetiere of the Columbian coffee, it's very smooth

Richmond Cafe is my favorite comfort cafe nearby the University of Edinburgh campus. They are sometimes busy for very good reason, the coffee is some of the best in town and the food is also great. They server Turkish classics as well as other British foods. My favorite dish is the chicken schnitzel which is super filling and flavorful, fried chicken cutlet with a creamy mushroom sauce. I also love getting their baklava with a coffee. They have a beautiful family and dog friendly environment, free Wi-Fi and affordable prices. There are also big natural light windows that can be used to enjoy a nice day or people watch while you stay. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and will let you into their cafe with open arms and smile when they see you outside if you become a regular, even if you don’t come in. Thank you Richmond Cafe for being the star of the main campus area of Edinburgh and one of the best cafes in town!

Service here was good, I got the french toast and my partner got the bagel sandwich. Their sandwich had weird blue marks on it so that was not great. My meal was delicious. Also, their Frozen Toffee was great.

good options for brunch, ranging from vegetarian and scotland breakfasts to turkish and greek options too, such as spanakopitas and the moussakes. This is a place with nice interiors and good customer service experience. Hot drinks and juices were very well prepared as well. This is not too expensive and our average bill was 12 gbp per person.

Espectacular comida mediterránea, sabrosa y variada. Muy buen precio y servicio. Probamos el plato de cordero, algunos paninis y la ensalada griega. Comimos mucho. Los postres también muy bien con almíbar, canela. Riquísimo.

The best Turkish coffee in Edinburgh with a wide variety of breakfast from Scottish, English, continental and Turkish. Plenty choices and good stop after a hike to Arthur's seat.

I love this place, I go here roughly twice a month for lunch. The portions are usually pretty decent as is the standard of the food. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I recommend the mezze … or the lamb kofta … or the sucuk … or the, just go. Also, don’t forget the Turkish coffee.

A long wait both to be served and for the food, and the order contained an ingredient that I specifically requested to be removed. The salad had no dressing - just leaves... Maybe they are understaffed, but in this case they should warn that it will take 20 min and an intervention to get a glass of water, and 55 min to get food. We would have gone elsewhere after such warning.

The hotel we booked cancelled our breakfast option last minute so we ended up eating our breakfast here every day. The place is quite cozy with very friendly staff and respectable pricing. They offer a range of breakfast options but also lunch & dinner options. I enjoyed every single breakfast there and highly recommend this place.

Slowest service I’ve ever witnessed and food wasn’t worth it!

We waited for 1hour after ordering and they forgot us TWICE on top of forgetting part of the order. The food was okay though a bit bland. The egg florentine was not egg florentine but scrambled egg with greens. Disaponting.

Vraiment une excellente surprise. Nous sommes arrivés ici par hasard pour le dejeuner. La gérante est tres sympathique et le cadre est plaisant, avec une ambiance calme et détendue. Il y a une vingtaine de places assises a l'interieur et une terrasse exterieure. Le choix de nourriture est plutot vaste, orienté a la fois british et grec/moyen orient. Les prix sont corrects, surtout en regard des portions qui sont tres généreuses (je recommande le grand assortiment de mezze). Des adaptations végétariennes ou vegan sont tout a fait possibles. Le choix des boissons est correct, avec des prix similaires a ce qui se pratique ailleurs. Bref je recommande a 100%.

A real delight with great coffee, food (all day) and fantastic staff. I have been in half a dozen times in the last few months and it never fails to create an enjoyable experience. I’ve just finished my coffee and croissants - delicious!. My wife and I popped in for drinks (wine and beer) around 6pm on Monday. Just a great vibe all day. A mix of students, professionals and tourists sitting outside admiring Arthur’s seat across the way. Love it!

They say its the little things in life that make it worth living, and thats especially true for their spectacular Turkish Coffee! Wow!! I'll be thinking about my meal here for a while, beautiful Turkish sausage with egg and tomato!!! In a sea of stars that is the Edinburgh cafe scene, The Richmond Cafe shines the brightest. Wonderful, wonderful little place, I'll make sure to be back soon!
