Food was over an hour late. Compensation was given in the form of a bottle of coke. But unfortunately the pork was inedible, and the prawns were soggy and stuck together and we were ill the next. Would not be ordering from there ever again.

I’ve never had such bad Chinese in all my life. If I could give no stars I would. It didn’t have the typical look. The flavours were sour. I’m worried I’ll have an upset stomach tomorrow. It tasted rubbery. I’m so disappointed

So thankful my local Chinese was closed as i will be a regular to the rice bowl from now on. Food was amazing and the large is definitely large.

Absolutely the worst Chinese I have had to date…. Order showed up as delivered on just eat app, tried calling 20+ times of which they must have blocked number or took phone off hook as wasn’t even ringing, so husband went to restaurant but food turned up an hour late with no explanation of what happened, sat down and ate food, absolutely vile, no flavour to any of it, sweet and sour chicken turned to mush, bbq ribs had no meat all just fat…. Will never ever go back again

Absolutely disgusting food! Raw chicken, the smell once the tub was opened was absolutely awful! Phoned the restaurant to which no avail and owner calling me a liar. Returned the food to the restaurant for him to continue to call me a liar even though the food was there infront of him and still would NOT issue a refund! Absolutely shocking food and service! First and LAST time ordering from here!!

Rice Bowl is our local go-to Chinese takeaway and it is really good!! The only thing is that delivery takes an hour so make sure you order with enough time before they close.

For the past ten years , the Rice Bowl has always been one of our favourite Chinese take away. The food is exquisite , aromatic, well presented with generous portions. Each time we place our order on the phone, this friendly gentleman is always polite & welcoming. All in all, Rice Bowl is highly recommended!

Ordered crispy shredded beef, squid, vegetable noodles and crispy tofu. All fine - Fair price and big portions. Had to write a review though for the crispy shredded beef, it’s the best I had in a long long time. In many Chinese restaurant, you barely get any meat on those, just thin deep fried batter. Here however, it’s chunky and well prepared (took the picture until I already had half of it unfortunately :P ).

Absolutely ridiculously tasteless and nasty Chinese place. I am old enough to have sampled enough Chinese restaurants and this is by far the worst. Wok express was closed so had to opt for here... I smelt a cheesy smell instantly which should not be aparent with Chinese food and found it was the so called satay chicken. I don't know what was off but have never tasted anything like it. Not one hint of satay chicken flavour. I have actually opened the door and window to air out the cheesy smell. Everything else was meh. All the other dishes tasted the same. Watery and tasteless. Coming from and working in China Town, this is hands down the worst and dirtiest tasting Chinese I've ever tasted in all my years. P's I never give reviews but felt this was needed

Wouldn’t recommend. Apart from meal being so late delivered and therefore cold. The dishes weren’t very tasty and the duck quarters had hardly any meat on them, not enough to make even a couple of pancake rolls. Had to throw the cold food away, not nice at all! Avoid!

First time ordering from here, cash on delivery, delivery was reasonable (under hour) great value for money, tasty food and decent portions. A hit with all the family and still some left overs for tomorrow!

Order just received via Just Eat was not good the squid dish I ordered was dreadful and the chips, much of the food ended up in the bin.

First time I ever ordered from there, really enjoyed what I had and seems good value for money especially with everything going up in price nowadays. I had ordered salt pepper squid, szechuan chicken, satay beef, couple of rice dishes and hot n sour soup.

Waited 2 hours for food, tried calling and no one picks up, after constantly phoning for over half an hour, I was met with the most disgusting of attitudes, was told that if we wanted food any quicker to next time go to panda cuisine. With that, cancelled our order and asked for a refund.

First time ordering from here, had a little trouble finding our address but the communication was excellent. The food was fresh and the portion sizes were spot on. Excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. My new favourite Chinese, will 100% be ordering from here again. 10/10.

Service was super friendly and fast. We ordered the aromatic duck, chicken balls, sweet corn soup and some extras. All the food was excellent and well portioned. Very reasonable price for what we got. Super happy with this place, 10/10 would eat again

The order for 4 people took 2 hours to arrive and they would not pick up the phone so was unable to find out what was going on. Was going to go down there for a refund when they finally turned up. Will not order from them again.

So glad we rediscovered this place. We have found the food good and tasty. The veg spring rolls are amazing! We will be ordering against very soon.

Awful ordered a few different dishes they came cold the chicken looked pink in the middle and was very grisly. Wouldn’t order again from here. Lucky just eat refunded the money back to us.

First time I've had food from here and it will defiantly be the last. The food was awful, the chicken was like a week old , sweet and sour pork was disgusting smh I spent £20 and I had to bin all the food cus I couldn't eat it after a few bits. !!!!!!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!! I ordered a Chinese from this takeaway restaurant for my family. We all sat down to eat as my son was eating he found black straight hair in his egg-fried rice, was absolutely disgusted with this told everyone stop eating instantly, took pictures and place the hair on a prawn cracker for contrast. I called them up straight away ask for Manager who was named 'Steven' he said the owner was away in America for 4 months and said "what do u want me to do about this" offered a refund of £2.50 for the rice only! After explaining the food is on a plate and mixed with other food I cannot now eat the food at all, he said the rice was served in a container not mixed. Point blank REFUSED to see my point of view after explaining I have just spent £30 on my order I would have to order something else which would mean I would be £60 out of pocket. I asked them to refund me, refused. I asked for the driver to collect the food so I can prove this, refused. The manager said he would have to speak to owner and this reply to could be months!!??? Absolutley disgusted with the food, the customer service level was at a all time low, Steven (if that's even he's name) should not be allowed to run a business on behalf of the owner. Consequently I am £30 out of pocket with a contaminated Chinese, served from a restaurant who think this is acceptable. I would rate this - 10 if I could, it doesn't even deserve 1 star. Do not eat from here, we'll unless you want hair in your food.

We ordered are food at 6pm last night and delivery was ment to come 6.57pm.didnt turn up so tryed phoning loads of times always engaged so couldn't get threw the at 7.30 it finally came driver didn't care it was late.the good was like warm and very bland tasting. It was awful never again waste of money

This was the nicest Chinese I’ve had for a long. It came earlier than it was supposed to and I even ordered it on a Friday night!! Everything tasted great. It was so cheap as well, compared to other Chinese takeaways in Watford. I would recommend that everyone should try it.

Ordered a delivery from here. I have to say it is the worst takeaway I have ever had and I'm shocked they think it's acceptable to serve the standard of food we received. Overcooked and tasteless. Rock hard rice. We didn't complain as reading other reviews you just get abused by the staff. I would say avoid this place at all costs. Waste of money as most of it went in the bin. I don't like to write negative reviews but I was shocked at these standards and looking at previous reviews there seems to be no improvement or customer service.

Salt and pepper prawns the batter was undercooked, shredded crispy beef - not crispy, soggy and in a strange sauce. Duck chow main greasy and mostly fatty meat. Special fried rice totally basic and bland. First and last time I'll order from here.

We pick lots of dishes and had a great service, was earlier than planned and was hot when it arrived. Also very tasty

Ordered take away from this place. Delivery time was late. Nearly 1 hour late. However it wa Christmas eve so understand why its late. Food was ok. Not as nice as it has been before. The spare ribs was dry and not juicy as before.The chicken balls was nice. All in all average quality as far as food is concerned. The delivery driver was friendly. I have had better food from the same place so hope to have more food of better quality from next time.

Awful food. Made a order tonight. Food arrived burnt and thrown together. Satay beef contained 4 bits of beef and the rest packed out with veg. Chicken balls so overdone they are rock solid.When I called to complain staff are rude and unhelpful.Avoid at all costs. I will be seeking a full refund form these people.

Have been ordering from this Chinese takeaway for probably 3 or 4 years now. The gentleman who takes our phone order is always polite , helpful & proficient ! The food always comes within the time quoted When my family comes to visit they always request that we order Chinese takeaway from here only as they enjoy it so much ! They all say they haven’t one as nice as this where they live. The food is always hot when delivered .

Ordered a takeaway for three last weekend for delivery around 7pm Range of dishes ordered which included spicy chicken , a ginger based dish and spicy mixed meat noodles Food delivered on time and portion size was good however the food was just tasteless Chicken was tough and chewy , ginger infused dish had no ginger and more sliced onions than I have ever seen in a dish Fried rice was awful and spicy noodles was all noodle with no mixed meats or vegetable If I had been blindfolded I would never of guessed I was eating Chinese food Very sparing of basic main ingredients and no flavour at all Never again - complete waste - most went in the bin On this stretch of road in Watford there is every takeaway imaginable Unfortunately avoid this one and eat else where Never again !!

For collections orders they make you wait for 1 hour 15 minutes despite of commiting 25 mins initllay ... Worst Customer service - Keep away !!! I was given option to cancel my order after waiting for 1 hour for collection - rediculous !!!

Easy to order thru just eat food normally good however after calling afte delivery time was řold kitchen had not.even started my delivery no notification not even an courtuiosnes from branch person very unhelpful after over an hour of waiting very angry and agitated. Horrendous experience. After an hour and a half we phoned to be told that it was not going to be delivered in the foreseeable future. Refused to compensate some of our money back and said we could cancel the order or wait. The wait time was ten more minutes, then fifteen, then twenty. Then he called the driver, who said he wasn't going to get here in twenty minutes. Would never recommend, especially due to appalling customer service. If you have made an error, you take responsibility. Don't expect people to pay full price - along with a compulsory service charge - for no service.

Ordered a meal for my wife and myself at 7pm , got feedback that it would be here at 8pm, food arrived at 8.50pm , food was cold, we heated up the food but it tasted awful, had to throw it in the bin, never again!!

when we decide to get a chinese take away we usually get it from The Rice Bowl , its hot tasty and doesn't usually take to long ,

Always great food not always fast delivery! However we are always happy when the food arrives only fault is the curry sauce! You pay £1.50 for a tiny little pot where most other place give you a bigger pot at least 4 times more volume.

We moved to Watford a little while ago and have been searching for a decent Chinese takeaway in the area. In fact we almost gave up but based on a few reasonable reviews we found online we decided to try this takeaway.

Very friendly, and great portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the actual quality of the food is mediocre at best. Would look elsewhere.

I don't have Chinese takeaways very often, but this is the best place - really tasty and usually quick to deliver. Chicken in salt and chilli and Singapore fried noodles are particularly recommended. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review. Enjoy!

Omfg. Ordered egg fried rice. Chicken cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce. Chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls. All I can say is if that was chicken then I will eat my hat. It was totally tasteless and rubbery and didn't taste right. The batter was still doughy. Very very few bits of egg in the rice. Definately not going there again...... ever.

I had food from this takeaway on 4th September 2012, and it arrived quite quickly. Which always worries me, it took about 15 minutes, which leads me to believe everything was microwaved anyway. But the worse thing about it is that after having 3 of the crispy duck pancakes, my girlfriend noticed that the cucumber she had been putting in it was mouldy, by this point I had already given up on eating my food, as it was vile. I phoned up and very politely explained what was wrong with the order, and asked for a refund. Which in my opinion is a fair request baring in mind they sent me food that was so old it had grown mould. The woman refused, called me a liar, and was very rude. I told her to send a driver round and I would give him the mouldy cucumber to prove it. The driver came round and he confirmed immediately the food was mouldy, and he looked utterly disgusted too. The woman still refused to give a refund and said the cucumber wasn't mouldy. I explained I would be writing a review on both Google and Just-Eat, she then said "I will phone the police and tell them you threatened to kick my door down." Which I never said! I took pictures of the cucumber to send to the FSA and Just-Eat. I will be contacting the bank and assuring no money leaves my account, for these theiving, lying scavengers.
