Have been hearing a lot of recommendation for this afternoon tea and was very excited. Very warm welcome and lovely laid out tables. Had to wait a bit for the food but that’s ok as I prefer that to it being say on the side for a while. The savoury treats were very tasty but felt all a bit oily. The scones, cakes and dessert cups were nice but all very sweet. The rum punch was delicious and the extra taster of coconut infused rum was delicious. We had a nice afternoon but don’t feel that it lives up to my expectations following online reviews.

The food was very poor, I had it as a take away but threw it away! The macaroni & cheese was £7, such a tiny portion and dry. Over baked till burnt and never tasted fresh. The curry mutton roti was full of salt. The meat was tough, chewy and over seasoned. I could not eat it as it was just too salty. I would not recommend

I'm leaving this review to get attention of whoever is in charge. We loved this restaurant and would be ordering food from here on regular bases and recommending it to others as one of the best takeaways in E17. It is pricey but locally it would be the best Caribbean takeaway we could get. However past couple of times we have ordered food its been terrible and it looks like cheffs has changed because its definitely not same person cooking who used to do before when we ordered food and absolutely loved it. Lately food been cooked so badly that we don't even think whoever cooks it knows anything about Caribbean food and our whole family have decided not to order from here again because we been literally throwing the food away how badly its been cooked. And I really hate the fact but I hope someone notices my review and takes some notice because its really a shame because this used to be much loved takeaway by our family.

I ordered a takeaway which came up to £44 for my daughter, mother and I which consisted of a portion of pepper prawns, 1 jerk chicken & 1 oxtail with 2 sides of rice an peas 1 jerk chips and a steamed veg with 2 Wray & neph cocktails. As can highly recommend the cocktails they were banging😍🥳🤩, the audacity of the quality of food they was willing to serve was a NO 😢😢 the jerk chicken was served burnt literally to the point where you could only taste the burnt cinder flavour through the sauce🤢, the oxtail was weak in seasoning an flavour which 💯% didn’t reflect the price of £15 😤😩🥺 the rice an pease were a 2/10 an the pepper prawns could get a pass but weren’t so fantastic 6/10 😒. All in all If you can’t cook don’t open a restaurant 🤨😝😔 especially if you wanna charge high for low quality Caribean food. How long do they expect the business to survive.

If you want an afternoon tea with a difference this is the place to go. It’s small with no more than 10 tables, which were all occupied. You pay when booking so there’s no unexpected extras. The staff were friendly and helpful (especially Lexi who looked after us). The only reason I haven’t given 5* is because it’s very loud due to the small space, loud music and even louder guests (us included). As a note, there’s plenty to choose from the main menu if you’re not there just for the tea.

Had a lovely afternoon tea for my sister's birthday. Very well presented and we had to take food home and it was too much to eat there and then. My sister got a complimentary rum for her birthday and was sang to which was a lovely bonus. Forget the usual sandwiches and enjoy chicken wings, salt-fish fritters and plantain balls. Next was butter milk scones then rum cakes and strawberry cream cakes. Offered tea of choice PLUS a complimentary rum shot and a rum punch. All in all, very tasty and worth every penny. Might book one for my birthday.

I originally had a reservation for 7pm but I called and changed it to 8pm. When I arrived I was refused to be seated as staff hadn’t changed the time on the system. I travelled 2 hrs to come here and there was no attempt to even find a solution although it wasn’t my fault. I will never come back here! Terrible customer service and completely out of order!

Oh my Gosh. I've heard people talk about this place for so long and now that I've been .... what a huge disappointment We ordered jerk chicken wings, patty, salt fish fritters. The only thing that tasted great was the patty that they clearly didn't make. Salt fish fritters we can't even describe the taste. Not much salt fish in them and a funny after taste. Jerk chicken wings were peppery but there was no real flavour. Caribbean cooking is all about seasoning and marinating. But the wings tasted like it just brush gense the seasoning and was quickly cooked. Wings were white and soft. We won't be returning

My mum, sister, and I enjoyed an incredible afternoon at Rythym Kitchen yesterday, Saturday the 27th of May. Fortunately, for us, I had seen a Caribbean afternoon tea advertised on social media and immediately purchased some tickets for the event via Eventbrite. From the very beginning, throughput, and at the end of service, the staff were truly amazing. They were so welcoming, approachable, attentive, professional, friendly, warm, and kind. They treated us like valued humans and like family. I don't think I have ever visited an establishment where I received such consistency, appreciation, and love from an entire staff team. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming, warm, and fun. There was a great selection of socca. Between that and the rum punch, I felt energised and happy. The afternoon tea, itself, was incredible! I loved the idea of a Caribbean afternoon tea. This was one of my favourite ones, and certainly the most memorable. The sweet selection was perfect. The spiced scones, jams, and cakes were extraordinary. The jerk wings, saltfish fritters, and plantain kebabs were all seasoned to perfection and had a delicious hint of spice.

From the minute we entered the restaurant, we received a warm and professional greeting from the staff. Lexi, Pavi and Ann served us and showered all guests with love and laughter! The food was exquisite (delectable savoury treats and moorish cakes). I can honestly say this one of the tastiest afternoon teas I've ever had. The fact that it is Caribbean afternoon tea makes it stand out on its own unique merit too. I'll definitely visit again. It was worth the trip from Kilburn. The entire team is truly wonderful and shows kindness and cohesion. I could only dream of working with such a beautiful collective.

It was lovely, unpretentious environment and the food was delicious. I had wings for starters and curry goat, rice & coleslaw. And OHMYDAYZ the dumplings to dip in the gravy or sauce was the best ever. The rum punch was just right too, felt I was in the Caribbean, disappointed that I’m not local as I would have enjoyed the Happy Hour! The food was soo good, I ended up ordering a takeaway including another Rum 🍹 Punch! 🎊🎉🤩

Ate here on Saturday night to celebrate my father in laws birthday and the vibe was great. Massive shoutout to the staff especially the waitress, bartender and Del. They went out of their way to provide and season a fish differently from the menu for my little boy and ensured that his meal came first. Really nice place, great cocktails and lovely vibe. Would definitely recommend this place. Food was really good.

Today my son took me for a lovely Caribbean afternoon tea at the Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow. A wonderful difference to the norm. Perfect authentic ambiance, warm attentive staff, more importantly flavoursome collection of food tempting your tastebuds. A good selection of Caribbean teas as well as English breakfast tea. It was pleasing to have an afternoon tea affair without the sandwiches, my favourite food was the tamarind prawns…. They really need to bottle that sauce and sell it… has to be their signature sauce. The mango and passion fruit cheese cake was so perfectly light and full of passion! But most of all the scones, they were not ordinary scones, hints of Caribbean spices were evident and when hit with the most perfect clotted cream with crust, and added to that guava jam…. It was sweet haven.… oh and what a generous glass of rum punch and rum! Nice to chat with Ann who made a point of speaking with customers, very modest and spoke passionately about Rhythm Kitchen and the teamwork behind the scenes. Thank you for this Mother’s Day special and the added gift all mothers were given to take away. I shall be returning to indulge in the normal main menu at some point in the near future.

Great service as always! Came for bottomless brunch and the staff are always making sure we’re topped up. Food quite disappointing due to such small portions and little choice with the brunch. Special thanks to Jack and Hannah for their great service! 🥰 xx
