What can I say, be mindful when going by reviews, no need to dress up if going for a sit down and bookings don't look necessary. My opinion is back of beyond, old fashioned, well in need of updating. Not sure what to say about Garfield or if he would even remember talking to me. Over priced food in comparison to others, two minute pieces of cremated plantain and the wettest "salad" I've ever had. Although complementary the giant fritter and fried dumpling were quite oily. The one good thing I can say is the seasoning on meat was fantastic. . I wish you well Garfield

The food and service here are fantastic - next to none! I had a nice Sunday lunch dining in and talking with Garfield. Really is worth a visit for authentic Caribbean food!

The best caribbean food I’ve ever had, served by a sweet, caring and friendly Grenadine chef. Absolutely delicious food and amazing experience. The ambience is nothing fancy, but a down to earth caribbean diner.

You don't get what you order. Food ran out. Out of 6 people only one got what they ordered. Food was warm. Food brought out in bowels told to share. Last orders 9pm arrived 8pm. Apologising at the end won't go back. Its a shame when you tey to support black busines.

I don’t understand where these good reviews are coming from??? I would give 0 stars if I could. I’ve never sat down and ate in there & looking at the reviews of the Oxtail look banging but every time I’ve had a takeaway from here (twice) because I thought I’d give it a 2nd try. The curry goat was dead, no flavour whatsoever, didn’t even remotely taste like what a curry goat should taste like! Honestly both times it was rank. Boneless aswell so the meat was proper dry. Please don’t waste your money.

Went for take away. Ordered 2 meals paid £25 forgot the oxtail to one meal didn’t put the plantain in one of the rice and peas so me of the little coleslaw tubs was half empty KMT so essentially I paid 11 pound for rice. Jerk chicken that I got for the other meal was meh and small so not worth it either and had curry sauce on it???? Didn’t ask for it..

Super food, brilliant service. We even had a game of dominoes. Definitely worth visiting again. Delicious mutton curry.

Just had the most delicious oxtail meal here! Portion was great value for money and Garfield made the whole experience wonderful with sweet soca music in the background! Place reminded me of a cross between Desmond’s and Death in Paradise! Definitely be back! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Please ignore the small selection of bad reviews, they’re simply false and (I suspect) malicious. This is a real gem, been coming here for years and it’s consistently great. Please note this is Grenadian food, not Jamaican. It’s different to most Caribbean restaurants and that’s definitely not a bad thing; food was absolutely delicious, as always.

This was the best snapper I have had!! The rice and peas was also delicious and cooked and prepared with time and care. Would definitely recommend and don't worry if some items are not available on the menu, what you get you will certainly enjoy!!

Listen all the bad reviews are nothing but cap, most amazing food you’ll ever eat hands down it really is home cooked proper. If you’re too fancy and stuck up this isn’t for you as this is the real heart of Grenada from the other side of the world, the food and the vibe is unmatched. Say what you want to say but Garfield is a man of culture and will always treat customers like family.

This place is a little hidden gem. A beautiful family friendly atmosphere with everyone ensuring that patrons feel at home. The owner and chef produced top class dishes freshly made and our host was a friend who helps out when the establishment gets busy. I didn't find out names but honestly, these gents provided an immaculate service beyond anyone's expectations. I've been here several times and enjoyed the jerk chicken, and mutton curry, both of which are utterly delicious! All served with a friendly smile and chat from the lovely owner. Excellent food, excellent customer service and in a really charming setting.

Just recently gave birth and met up with friends in abbey mills to meet new baby. Went and sat at ting n ting the man was so rude he asked if we was all eating and only 2 of us was but the others wanted sides. My friend asked what alcohol they had he said rum an beer when she asked for a rum of coke he then kissed he’s teeth and said he will be back with a paper to take out orders. He then left us sitting there for 15mins before we choose to stand up and just walk away. I will never go to this place again and after reading the reviews I’m kind of glad I didn’t have any of the food. The old man was rude and needs to learn customer service I’m surprised it’s still open if I’m honest

The portions were quite small, the pork belly was covered with hairs. The jerk chicken was nicely cooked, however was lacking jerk flavour.

Las porciones eran muy pequeñas y caras, pagamos 20 por 1 pieza de pollo al microondas y una porción de arroz al microondas (INCREÍBLE). Nunca volveré aquí otra vez, su actitud llevó a que tres clientes se fueran mientras comíamos nuestro plato para microondas. Nada se cocina fresco, todo está en el microondas

Si necesitas comida jamaicana verdadera y un poco de diversión, este es el lugar para estar. Se encuentra en un hermoso patio en Wimbledon. Pasé la noche en el cercano Premier Inn y eché un vistazo a TA para una buena comida para llevar. Me topé con Ting Ning y decidí intentarlo. Está hecho para parecerse a una choza de playa en el Caribe y tiene un muy buen ambiente.Entré y la señora que estaba detrás del mostrador me preguntó qué me gustaría. Pedí que me arreglaran una fuente para llevar. Le dije que nunca había comido comida caribeña y ella me dijo que me esperaba una golosina. Garfield el dueño estaba detrás del mostrador haciendo toda la cocina. La fuente para arreglarme fue enorme y deliciosa. Deffo viene aquí de nuevo.

En un viaje nostálgico de regreso a Merton Abbey Mills, estábamos buscando un lugar para almorzar y decidimos elegir el restaurante Ting n Ting Caribbean. Era muy tranquilo para el almuerzo, pero nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. La comida era increíble, y simplemente perfecta en una tarde fría, el curry de cordero, el curry de pollo, el arroz con pollo Jerk, guisantes, ensalada de col y plátano. El restaurante tiene un auténtico ambiente caribeño. Vivimos como una familia en el Caribe durante 5 años y la sensación del lugar y la comida provocaron algunos recuerdos gratos. Lo recomendaría a fondo.

Llevé a mi hijo a cenar mientras lo visitaba. En primer lugar, diría que esto es más parecido a un café que a un restaurante, pero no dejes que la comida sea increíblemente buena. He tenido la suerte de visitar algunas islas del Caribe y esto me recordó el tipo de lugar que comerían los lugareños si estuvieras de vacaciones.Llegamos a las 7 y no salimos hasta tarde cuando el lugar estaba abarrotado. Probamos la placa de selección, así que un poco de todo y limpiamos la placa sin problemas por segundos. Garfield es un personaje y fue una gran experiencia.

The website said it was open on a Tuesday from 11-10pm. I got there on a Tuesday at 7pm and they were closed! Their phone wasn't even working and failed to reply to my email.

It is not the most luxury place around but the taste of the meat is great. The grilled the meat in the black barrel at the right-hand side of the entrance, so don´t want to sit near it unless you really want to smell to barbecue. Any of the dishes with grilled meat are great and the sizes are good for the money you pay. Quite decent place.

Éramos las únicas personas en el pequeño restaurante (y en el Mills, ya que es un lugar mayormente desértico) pero no dejes que eso te desanime. Es un restaurante jamaicano divertido y aunque llevo algún tiempo para la comida, la música y charlar hizo que mereciera la pena la espera.

What a lovely small ramshackle lovable place to eat. Wee both had the mutton curry and it did not disappoint. This is as relaxed a place as you can find and none the worse for that.

Puedes subir y sentarse y nadie te da el menú y después de unos 20 minutos llega alguien y le solicita su pedido (todavía no) y orden de menú y luego esperar otro 30 - 40 minutos. Lo que no entiendo es todo está pre-cocinados, así que sólo tienes que plato pero no hay sentido de urgencia. Hemos estado aquí muchas veces y siempre es el mismo, pero el último viaje fue el peor. Esperamos 45 minutos y estaban ocupados preparando una orden para llevar así que nadie podría servir clientes que realmente hasta el restaurante. Como tanto habíamos planeado venir aquí para una semana antes y que quieren que sus alimentos, esperamos tanto, pero después de 45 minutos, yo podía comer mi mano, pero nadie siquiera nos miraba, así que caminamos. Nos encanta la comida pero vamos, conseguir su acto juntos en términos de servicio.

Escondido en una hilera de lo que yo llamaría "pop" es este tesoro escondido que sirve los mejores platos de la cocina caribeña. Yo intente bajar aquí siempre que puedo conseguir algo de su pollo Jerk, sólo puede conseguir la mía el mismo sabor en casa.

Fuimos para una función familiar, que resultó estar en este restaurante. Ubicado en el moderno desarrollo de Merton Abbey mills que alberga artesanías y alimentos artesanales. En enfoque, tiene un aspecto un poco frente a la relajada. Una vez dentro, el ambiente está diseñado para el proyecto de calidez y tranquilidad que tiene. También existe la opción de comer al aire libre. El establecimiento es bastante popular a juzgar por la corriente constante de clientes. Los propietarios era cálido, amable y hacían todo lo posible para asegurarse de que estuviéramos cómodos.

Actualmente sat aquí y tener una comida fantástica, el ambiente es genial y la comida es impecable. Volveré muy pronto de nuevo y así le mis colegas. Lo que una pequeña joya de lugar.

Having made a table res 2 dys in advance with owner and drooling over a dish we had pre-selected from the website, my husband and I turned up to be told that the only food available were patties. We ordered some drinks (which we paid for) and the owner came over to our table with a pathetic apology and said that he has just put on some jerk pork, but there would be a wait. My husband and I were very disappointed, especially as it was a special occasion and we had been looking forward to this mouth-watering dish all week.

Who would have thought that you could find such an authentic Caribbean experience in South West London. If you want a great time you will find it here. Welcoming, relaxed and an immediate sense that you are on holiday. The beef patty was nice as well.

I love the grassroots feel of this place. The owner and his daughter were so apologetic for selling out of stuff - but to me, that's such a good sign that I ordered.The food was classic authentic Jamaican style. I don't mind the crispy bits of sweet potatoes fries or mutton curry, it felt like I was having the real deal.Nice mellow flavours to feed the Western palette but I was also offered some of their traditional hot sauce which turned it into a cultural experience immediately.

This place s a real gem. The food was great - very tasty, well cooked and well presented - the photos here don't do it justice... we had the Fix up Platters which gave us a great selection of Jerk Chicken, Mutton Stew, Beef stew, Fish patties, dumpling, veg curry, coleslaw, peas and rice - portions huge. The staff were really great, we were made very welcome by all - Garfield took the time to come and chat to us and the service was great ... we had an excellent night atmosphere really good - a shame we don't live locally to make more use of it. I would highly recommend this to anyone... this is not a ball gown and tiara place... more of a relaxed Caribbean café style... very small but why not call in, if there is no room, drop in to the Merton Apprentice pub to wait and go back - you wont regret it..

The food was nice... but a big no no Why would you scrape the bottom of the pot and give customers burnt rice and then full the container half way. I wouldn't even serve burnt crispy rice to my guests let alone myself... if the rice and peas is finished give white rice or a supplement. Also the meat was just pure gravy, had to fish out the strands of meat sitting at the bottom.(more meat less water &veg) . It's a shame, I can not fault the actual taste of the food, it's delicious. But your service is lacking which for me brings down the quality of the food. I would rather pay more money and have better standards and reasonable portion sizes.I don't know if I will order again, I'm disappointed.

Went with friends for what should have been an enjoyable meal. Turned out the opposite. The owner/chef was off with the fairies, the orders were mixed up and it took about three attempts to get them delivered correctly. The food, when it arrived was both cold and mediocre. Certainly won't be going back there.

A group of nine of us were directed here when we were looking for somewhere to eat. He was about to close, but the very pleasant owner, Garfield, pulled out all the stops to feed us, entertain us and make us welcome in his restaurant. He even got some of his customers to wait on tables. He is a fantastic host and a very interesting character. His food is fantastic and his pleasant nature provided us with a fantastic evening of fun, food and music. Top man.

Stayed locally on 21st Nov and found this lovely little gem, having missed the closing time, Garfield was more than happy to stay open late and accommodate our group, providing us with a delicious meal and a great atmosphere and at a great cost, thanks for an enjoyable night and will be back,

Best place to eat Caribbean food Iv found in London! Really unique chilled atmosphere!...... Best roast pork belly, when you taste the Mutton curry you know why it's award winning. If you have never been then you can't say you have had the best!

There really aren't many places like this.  Incredibly welcoming - after popping in for one drink I spent a whole evening sampling rum and playing domino's with the owner. The best Caribbean food I've had prior to this in London has been served with hate; this is served with love and tastes all the better for it. Couldn't ask for a better evening.

This was the first place I tasted Jerk Chicken in and it remains a favourite. Garfield the owner is a gem, the place is hidden away from the mainstream and it is just absolutely divine. It remains my favourite place that I take visitors and friends to in London. Highly recommend this vibe for everyone!

Exactly what I've been looking for in London for so long. A welcoming restaurant that serves quality, flavoursome caribbean food with a smile. Garfield (the owner) is a great host and after dishing up one of the best meals I've had, got the dominos out, started spinning his record collection and put on a great night for the family.Everything was 10/10 but I'd definitely recommend the fry bakes / dumplings and the mutton.

Excellent food, the jerk pork was amazing, great music creating a fabulous authentic atmosphere and the hospitality of the owner who won Ainslie's Green peppers was unsurpassable.

The owner is very welcome and friendly. Good is massive sizes and cheap but quality food. The cake is good also try the dumplings. Only seats 20 people but so warm and cosy and lovely to talk to different people and feel relaxed will be coming back.

When you arrive at Merton Abbey Mills, the amazing smell of Ting n Ting hits you and the taste is just as good! Love stopping here for lunch. Super chilled out and friendly service. Couldn't want more from a place.

We stumbled across Ting 'n Ting on a Saturday afternoon and loved the sound of the offering. We headed back for dinner the following week and were not disappointed. The venue is small but atmospheric, and the host is very warm and welcoming. More importantly, the food is standout – not fine dining, but high quality and comforting Caribbean flavours. The jerk chicken was brilliantly spiced while the mutton curry was wonderful and warming. And the home-made ginger beer has a real kick! We will definitely return!

Took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his 30th birthday. After reading glowing reviews I knew this place would be right up our street. As soon as you get there you are greeted by Garfield - a really friendly and funny character. He really welcomes you to his restaurant and makes you feel at ease.We both had the classic jerk chicken. Lovely tender meat, great jerk seasoning, the rice and peas were lovely and the coleslaw was really good. My boyfriend enjoyed the pickled veg too. We both had a beer then a rum n ting to finish.When I told Garfield it was my boyfriend's birthday, he presented us with some rum cake and 2 candles. Himself and his chef colleague sang happy birthday - it was really kind of them.We had such a fun night at a chilled and unique restaurant, in a quirky setting on a lovely hot summer's evening. This is the best Jamaican restaurant in town. Garfield catered for my 18th birthday party at short notice and the food was simply outstanding. It was the talking point of the night with all my guests and we will definately use Garfield in the future for another family event.

A hidden gem, 5 mins walk from Colliers Wood. The food is great - there is a big bbq/broiler on the patio and all fresh. The smell when you walk past makes you hungry!! We can attest to the jerk chicken, chicken curry and the mixed platter. Generous portions and cans of Red Stripe to wash it all down. A great afternoon spent eating, drinking and playing dominoes. Garfield, the owner, is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome and w had lots of laughs. Recommended!!
