Fantastic food, great coffee and kind attentive staff. The place is family friendly; with high chair, baby change facilities and books and toys upstairs. Amazing place for a breakfast.

Terrible service and cold breakfast that had been stood a while judging by the congealed egg. This is the second time I’ve been and the second time service, value and food was poor. £15 for a breakfast with one extra (which didn’t arrive until challenged then it was cold).

This is an amazing place for families. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is very friendly. They sell a wide range of food, from cheeses to freshly baked bread to pancake stacks! There is a sofa to sit on and read books that you bring by yourself or from the book swap shelf. They are very caring about the environment and eco system and are supplied by local suppliers and have community events. The food and drink are spectacular with care & effort going to make the food taste & look great. The space has 2 floors and the ground floor is fully accessible. We’ll be coming back!

After trying to find a cafe on a Thursday morning in Belper we plumped for the Reunion, what a great space! Friendly busy and welcoming. We ordered a two teas, a wonderful fresh English breakfast and delightful lemon and ginger. A quick look at the menu and two full English…well I can honestly say we have never eaten better! Everything was fresh, delicious and just a little different! Overall an absolute delight!

Cafe was very quiet on arrival, 9:30 ish. Sat upstairs. Ordered at counter downstairs, staff very pleasant and friendly. Thanked me for using table number. Ordered a bacon cob, coffee, tea cake and chai latte. Drinks came after about 5 mins, were lovely, offered sugars etc which waitress brought even though they were stationed very close. Food followed few minutes afterwards with cutlery/napkins, bacon cob was well filled but buttered so it turned out quite greasy, tea cake was lovely. Toilet was nice and clean.

Love Reunion and try to go whenever we are in Belper, however tried to go last Saturday but it was too busy so had to go elsewhere. The vegan breakfast is always lovely, so tasty and you can tell its high quality. The mushrooms on toast seems expensive for what it is but again, you can tell the ingredients are of high quality. Great coffee and homemade smoothies. Service is always good.

We were regulars at the former cafe, Fresh Basil, which was fab and expected much of the same. Sadly, Reunion Cafe is not a patch on the previous business. On the plus side, the staff are pleasant and friendly but this is where the positivity ends. We got there early on Saturday morning before it was busy and I ordered an English Breakfast. After what seemed an eternity, the breakfast bearing little resemblance to an actual English Breakfast arrived. Sautéed potatoes with kale? An inedible bean concoction. Cremated bacon and sourdough so hard I barely left the place with my own teeth. I understand that businesses need to keep up with the times and often do things with a 'twist'. But it's quite ridiculous to mess with a tried and tested formula. Unfortunately, all this tweaking merely served to create a breakfast that was quite simply, dreadful. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

My friend had visited your cafe recently and noticed you had loads of gluten free cakes. You say you can do most dishes gluten free on the menu but several dishes had gluten in. You had to go and buy gluten free bread too. I was very disappointed!! We won’t be back.

Best breakfast/brunch I’ve ever eaten in Derbyshire in 35 years! Guacamole, salsa, sourdough black beans plus egg.Perfectly cooked and served by very friendly, happpy staff! Relaxed atmosphere. Home made granola and other delights also on offer.Husband had to try the granola after his meal (didn’t notice it until then) It did pass muster, even compared to his own speciality!

I found a table quite easily, so place was not particularly busy. I went to place my order and was greater with a 40 minute delay on food. ABSOLUTELY blown away. I work in the hospitality business so I understand staff shortages etc etc, but how on earth does the establishment managed to fall behind by 40 minutes, when not even particularly busy. They need to rethink how they are running it so customers do not have such waiting times.

My partner and myself went to Reunion Cafe Belper for the first time today for lunch. The menu caters very well for the Vegan and vegetarian customer. We ordered Two pots of tea. My partner being a vegetarian ordered the Mushrooms on toast and myself the Derbyshire flat bread. Having placed the order and made payment a waiter came over to our table to say that they could not provide this item. So the order was changed to the Salami Flat Bread which cost about £1 more they did it at the cost of the item the could not supply. The tea arrived but no sugar so I asked the waitress for some to be brought over and was asked how many? (just bring a small pot with sachets in it, for gods sake) The price of the food here is not Cheap but we appreciate that things cost more now. But expected good things. We were disappointed with both dishes when they arrived. The Mushrooms on toast was a single slice of bread and a small amount of mushrooms topped with a few salad leaves for £7.95 WOW! My flat bread left a lot to be desired. Lots of roasted vegetables (which made the flat bread very soggy) two very thin and small slices of Salami and Cheese ? well I could not find it, The salad was lettuce and yet more roast veg? We had hoped the waiting staff would return to check that everything was ok BUT they didn’t. The staff are friendly and courteous but the whole feeling is that it is being run by people who do not really get it. We did not return to the counter before leaving to air our views because the staff had not come back to us to check everything was ok and that shouted to me that they don’t care. £22 in total! Arrived hungry and left hungry To sum up! Expensive and very under whelming.

Reunion organized my 70th birthday party for me. The food was delicious and the space leant itself well to dancing downstairs to the dj, with the mezzanine space for those who wanted to chill. It all went very smoothly and the staff were very warm and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant place - I love Reunion. I've been there multiple times snd the food is always fantastic and a nice and positive buzz going on. Love the way the owners offer so much to the community from networking to specialist events.

The atmosphere is friendly, the staff are helpful/cheerful and the coffee is hot (which isn't always the case with coffee machines). The food, however, we didn't enjoy, Most of the party ordered ready made food such as quiche, salad, etc. This arrived quickly. A bit too quickly, because I ordered the veggie sausage on flatbread with cheese. By the time it arrived, everyone else had finished eating, which defies the whole point of going out to lunch together. The cheese was forgotten and the flatbread was so thin, it disintegrated into dust as you bit into it. The bread had no flavour and the whole sandwich was so dry I couldn't swallow it. It has to be the worst sandwich I've ever purchased. I'm sorry to be so harsh when the staff were so nice, but we went there to eat, and that was the worst part of the experience. As for the rest of the food, the salad was lovely, although expensive for such a small amount. The quiche and pork pie were both dry. On the plus side, they refunded the money for the veggie sandwich. We won't be returning and I'm afraid I can't recommend them.

Excellent coffee and delicious food (the Reunion breakfast is a cracker!) in a lovely setting with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff are always really welcoming and the multiple toilets and area upstairs with kids books are great for when I drop by with my 5yo to have a break before picking up a nice piece of cheese (or 3!).

Love this place! It's got a great atmosphere. The decor is fabulous - It's got an energentic yet relaxing vibe. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. I've been here for coffee and cake (they make an excellent turmeric latte too!), breakfast, and lunch and it's been 10/10 everytime. I've also been fortunate enough to go to a private party here. Can't recommend it enough. I'm lucky enough to live locally so pop in whenever I can. However, I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Belper. You can find out about what's happening in town and it's right in the heart of the town centre.

Reunion has become a regular stop for brunch, lunch and coffee and cake. The menu has a varied and different selection from other places you find in Belper. The deli brunch is really good, as is the coffee. Staff are really helpful and the place has a really nice feeling to it. It’s a good place to meet friends or pop in with kids. It’s also great to be able to shop for cheese and deli items, with some unusual snack choices available. The sausage rolls and salad are also really good! It’s a cool cafe choice with a difference, and I really like the ethos of locality and community. Would highly recommend.

Visited Monday 5th December 2022. Changed a lot since previous visits over the years and thats inside and out. Didint think the menu was as good as previous. Did like the fact you order and everthing is delivered to your table. My pot of tea was very strong and didnt manage to get 2 full cups from it. Toast was nice but very pricey at nearly £2 a slice. Not sure if we will go again am sorry to say.

The atmosphere is quintessentially unique to find in Derbyshire. The food menu is exceptional, there's so much variety and delicious flavours on option. The decor and music is nourishing. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Belper or passing through the Peak...

They called me, claiming to be from Vodafone. It came up as "Jeera", and when I searched the number, it was on their website. This makes me think that the restaurant is a front for scam callers to operate from or something. If they are not a front, then they need to change their number. If they are, then I wouldn't eat their food if someone paid me, since if their food is as good as their ability to pull off a convincing scam, then it can't be very good at all.

Very friendly service, generous portions, and fair price. It was my first visit there, I had a craving for kebab, not something I eat often, but when I do, I enjoy it and this was no exception. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy the usual kebab meals or pizza. I didn't have the pizza, but they looked very tasty too. 😋

Myself and a friend came here for the taster menu as a little Christmas celebration for us. After seeing the taster menu we were intrigued as to what we would be served. The first course was 'roasted parsnips, cumin', in a lovely little glass on a wooden board we were served a lovely roasted parsnip soup with a cuming homemade bread. This course was delicious, the bread was soft and warm and the soup was divine. The second course was 'rice, chestnut and mushrooms', we were served a risotto with mushrooms. The mushrooms we lively and had a lively flavour. The rice however tastes quite bland and plain, we would have been happy with a whole bowl of mushrooms as they were lovely. The next course was 'coley, panchetta, onions', this was a lovely fillet of fish served on a little bit of what I think was kale with panchetta and pickled onions. WOW! The flavour combination of the salty panchetta and fish with the tangy pickled onions was absolutely delicious. 'Mussels, smoked bacon, wine' was our next course. I am not a person who likes mussels etc but I was willing to try this and the flavour of the smoked bacon was delicious. I hate some mussels and was pleasantly surprised, I couldn't eat many due to the texture but it was a lovely dish. The next course was 'baked ham, picallili, hazelnuts' this dish was up there in our top two courses along with the coley. It was so flavourful and delicious and just the right amount. On to the Christmas Dinner with 'roast turkey, Brussels, cranberries', this was a lovely posh Christmas Dinner the roast parsnips were cooked to perfection the turkey was lovely and moist and I'd love to know how the turkey was served in a circle shape. Time to cleanse the pallete with 'lemon and raspberries', I love sorbet type dishes and so really enjoyed this. Dessert number 1 was 'caramel, chocolate and vanilla', this was a salted caramel brownie based cheesecake. Very rich and lovely the caramel around the plate was really nice. To finish off was 'Christmas pudding', now I don't like Christmas pudding but enjoyed some of this. I wouldn't choose it off a normal menu but was happy to eat it. Overall the food was lovely, hats off to the chef. Only a few small things that weren't our favourite but as an all round meal we really enjoyed it. Now the only bad thing was the atmosphere.... Or lack of atmosphere in this case. We were the only table in there until around course 5 when another table came in. However the place just lacked and feeling or vibe of any kind and this may put us off returning. We did think that the restaurant would be very full as it was so close to Christmas but we thought wrong. The table that then arrived were sat too close as they were just sat staring and listening to anything and everything that my friend and I were talking about. The waitress also did not seem confident in herself or what she was presenting to the table, this took away from some of the enjoyment. However, a lovely new restaurant that hopefully if we do return will have a better atmosphere.
