Fabulous food in a fabulous restaurant. The staff were very informative and helpful. The ambiance was friendly and warm on a cold autumn night. We will definitely be back and will make a point of visiting your other restaurants

We went for the 8 course tasting menu. I'm not sure what we received as there was no menu on the table. We didn't get what was published on the website. It was difficult to know when one course started and the other finished. Was a slice of bread and marmite butter really a course? Towards the end of the evening, it became clear they wanted to close early and go home. We weren't given a bill, just the card machine with the total already entered. I asked for a receipt. I didn't get a card receipt just a till receipt as we were hurried out at 10:20. When we got home, I checked, and we had been overcharged. I emailed and received a reply acknowledging receipt of my complaint. Over 3 weeks later, we still haven't had a response. If you must eat there, you are likely to be disappointed. Portion size is small even by tasting standards. Make sure you know what you are getting and that you get it. Insist on seeing the bill and check it is correct before you pay for it.

Had a wonderful evening at this relaxed and welcoming restaurant; with plate after plate of delicious dishes, perfectly paired with delightful wine! We left satisfied. Can not wait to try The Bracebridge

My daughter and I dined here last night the food was absolutely amazing served by a super friendly guy and the chef. All the dishes presented exquisitely and the ingredients explained. Background music was to our taste and created a nice ambience. The wine we had was lovely( good choice by daughter. ) All in all a fabulous evening.

We had an amazing night at OXA. My husband had the 8 course tasting and I had the 6 and every course was incredible and so tasty. Presentation was perfect, service was great the whole evening was so enjoyable and special we loved it. Extra thanks to Frank who looked after us all night with amazing service and delicious wine recommendations. We’ll definitely be back with friends!

A gorgeous Michelin recommended neighbourhood restaurant in Oxton, Wirral, @restaurantoxa is headed up by @chef_andrew_sheridan and @jake12smi12_chef and was our venue of choice to celebrate me getting back on the transplant list last week. We went for the 8 course tasting menu at £80 each and Chef was more than happy to adapt the courses for Steve’s allergies. He even got a few treats that I didn’t! 🦪Chef’s Snacks 🥖OXA Sourdough 🐐Goats Cheese, Pickled Beetroot 🐟Hake, Cornish Mussels, Cauliflower 🐷Salt Aged Pork, Spilmans Asparagus, Carrot 🥭Passion Fruit 🍫Valrhona Chocolate, Herefordshire Strawberry 🧀Yorkshire Blue, Pickled Shallot Being presented with oysters was a great start as we’ve not had them in ages and the gluten free bread went down a treat. I’m now obsessed with Marmite butter too! The Hake was incredible and the little pot of passionfruit was just beautiful. All in all this was a fabulous experience in such a nice, relaxed setting. The staff were very personable and Chef brought every course to us with an explanation of what it was. The menu changes with the seasons so we will have to come back next time it switches up! Any excuse hey.

The restaurant has an unusual ambience for a fine dining place, very informal, relatively loud music of a type you’d expect in a wine bar but somehow it all makes for a very relaxed experience. The service was efficient and very friendly and informative. The wines were all very good but the real star was the delicious food. Every course was beautifully cooked and presented, not unusual perhaps , but we have rarely eaten such intensely flavoured dishes with original combinations of ingredients, even in the many Michelin starred restaurants we have visited. Incredible value for such superb cooking. Wish we lived nearer!

Thoroughly enjoyable birthday celebration evening at Oxa. 8 course tasting was just right amount for all of us spread over a couple of hrs. All courses were delicious . Table split between the fish and pork course as to best. Wine selections went well. Can highly recommend.

No atmosphere, The evening we dined here it was very quiet, infact we were the only people in the restaurant, it was empty from arriving at 7.00pm to departing at 9.15pm. Food was ok but not worth the money

Some really excellent tasting plates of food with wonderful presentation. Service was top level and the environment was lovely. Definitely recommend

Absolutely superb food and amazing service. We went as a party of 4 and had the 6 course tasting menu. The staff were very knowledgeable and super friendly. Attentive without being overbearing. Attention to detail on every dish and lovely flavours. Would highly recommend. Will definitely go again! Felt like a special treat.

Really good to find a fine dining restaurant on the Wirral that you can get into. Service and food very special. Accommodated my wife's aversion to Mussels no sweat. I'm having the 8 course menu next time as was hungry after six 🫣

As a special treat to celebrate a birthday and anniversary and also using that as an excuse for our first visit to Oxa we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Obviously its not a cheap night out but the food and drink were outstanding. The experience was made even more enjoyable with the help of Jose (hope names correct) who attentively explained everything and even added a music suggestion to the playlist. Thanks to everyone for a great night and we will suggesting it to our friends as well.

My husband and I came with another couple on Thursday evening. We all had the eight course tasting menu which was absolutely superb! The Chefs and staff went out of their way to enhance the evening discussing each course with us and it was a delight we will definitely be returning.

Delicious food on the tasting menu, wonderful service throughout and a comfortable restaurant. We had a lovely evening.

8 course lunch, simply wonderful with nice size dishes, a selection and variety of different plates especially the muscle chowder 'delicious', with interesting flavours and presentation, prepared with love care, lovely atmosphere, very relaxed with intimate dining, the maitre d' and staff were friendly and professional, great addition to our village, thank you for a lovely afternoon.

A fine dining experience based on a set menu with optional wine flight. We had the 6 course menu. Every course was beautifully presented and the food was outstanding. Some different dishes with fantastic flavours. You book the table for the evening and the courses are well paced so no rushing. The restaurant was full but plenty of space between tables. Excellent, attentive service to match the superb food.

The food was faultless with a few dishes that we hadn’t come across before. The wine was great. Just as importantly, the atmosphere and service, we were looked after by Frank and the combination of everything made it a perfect evening. Thank you

Twas 2 days before Christmas but more importantly 2 days after madame's birthday, I guess I should buy her lunch. Good restaurants are thin on the ground in Birkenhead, word was this was pretty good. A G&T sharpener opened proceedings followed by the 6 course tasting menu and accompanying bottle of Pino G. Each beautully presented and flavours well matched. Sorry no photo's food is for eating not modelling! This place goes top of my extremely small recommended goodplaces to eat. Go and enjoy whilst it is still there!
