We stopped here for lunch en route to the North Coast. Will be giving it a big miss next time. Incredibly inefficient, understaffed restaurant. We queued for almost 45 minutes to be served. When we were finally at the check out and waiting to pay next my pensioner husband took a seat at a free table. ( there were very many available despite the queue). He was then subjected to an inquisition as to where I was in the queue, told he wasn’t meant to sit down at a table until served, asked how long he thought I would be etc. The table wasn’t clean and he asked if it could be wiped. We then waited a further 15 minutes to get a bowl of soup and a sandwich which were underwhelming and very average. Won’t be back!

We stopped at the cafe for a tea break and were so delighted to be able to have a GF scone. It has been a long time since I had a scone and a lot of places do not make such an effort. They arrived warm and with butter and jam and tasted delicious. I will be back in the future. Well done to Logan's.

We stopped into Logan’s on our way to a family holiday in Portstewart. I had always done this as a child and wanted to do the same with my own kids. What a shame it was! It is such a beautiful venue (although the baby change loo was a bit stinky). The range of food is lovely. The queue moved quickly enough but we waited at our table for about 40mins for our food (a toastie, sausage and chips and pizza and chips). The wait was harder with the kids. Folk who arrived after us had their lunch before ours which always drives one crazy! We went up ask about the food but the severs who were all quite young and not very forthcoming with assistance fobbed us off. We had decided we would ask for our money back and leave but the food arrived. The food was good! But I think by then We couldn’t really enjoy it. I think the shop staff are lovely. And there was one very helpful older lady in the cafe. I think this spot has great potential … not the trip down memory lane I was hoping for …..

We turned in to Logans, to break a long car journey, and soon arrived at the impressive main building. We took our places on an escalator, from whose summit food smells enticed us forward. The restaurant is located in a bright open room with self service across COVID protecting plastic screens. We were spoiled for choice by a wide variety of savoury and sweet temptations. Choices made, a pretty young helper helped us to move to the Check out, and helped me to carry my laden tray to the table which we'd been allocated. Food was not only welcome but delicious. The staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome.

Great to get back to this first class restaurant. Great to see the staff back working in harmony with both each other and customers. Restaurant was extremely busy which proves people missed their favourite eating establishment! Whilst run of their feet, the ever friendly staff retained their outoing personalitys and outshone themselves once again. Meal was excellent as usual. Thank you Staff @ Logan's.

Logan’s for those who don’t know is a fashion outlet on the busy A26 road between Ballymena and Portrush/Coleraine. There are a number of outlets where designer goods can be bought. We’ve used this several times travelling up to Portrush as a tea and coffee stop. The staff are always extremely pleasant and the restaurant is super clean. There is a really good choice of hot and cold plates as well as cakes and scones. When we’ve been here, we always share a hot plate and have a scone or cake to share too. The portion size is very generous and too much for us. Price wise, it isn’t cheap, but this is an upmarket establishment and therefore appropriately priced in my opinion. We’ll be back in July when we will be traveling over from the mainland.

Staff friendly and attentive but food poor. At 3 pm on a Friday afternoon there were no French fries or wraps. We had sweet potatoes instead which were inedible. My plaice was like a piece of wood and nearly as difficult to cut. Admittedly the waitress offered us a tray bake as she noticed we had left quite a bit. Logan’s used to make an excellent egg sandwich which was served with crisps and French fries but they no longer make that type of sandwich. Things have changed - but not for the good.

Called in today to treat ourselves to lunch. What a disaster. Staff had no system whatsoever. Stood almost 8 minutes before anyone appeared behind serving area. I asked for warm apple tart with cream. I was asked a minuterrific later would I like it warmed. I replied yes warm please. I was then told to continue on and it would be brought to me in the cue. Meanwhile my wife ordered a warm snack to then be informed that it came with a choice of 2 salads. We asked what the salad choice was as there didn't seem to be much if anything in any of the bowls. The server then said "OH THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE MUCH LEFT" My wife settled for the scrapings from a bowl or two. 5 mins later still queuing to pay I was handed my Cold unheated apple tart which I promptly said for the 3rd time WARM PLEASE ! The member of staff operating the Till was also trying to serve teas coffees and drinks, slowing everything up totally. When we got to the till she walked off to start clearing some of the many dirty cluttered tables and asked the junior member of staff who can't father what warm apple tart means to take over the till hence leaving no one on the dessert servery. We were then fortunate to find an empty but grubby table for two which was unsteady resulting in coffee being sloshed everywhere. We then sat and watched astounded as customers continued to clear tables for themselves before sitting down and some had to just sit and eat at uncleared tables. The customer in the que behind us informed us that she also asked for her 2 portions of salad with her hot snack at which stage all salad bowls were promptly replenished with fresh produce. In a nutshell- For such a prestige shopping precinct the restaurant is coming up very short on service and if not sorted soon will destroy the place. It's not like logans has only just opened. It's been around for ever. Extremely dissapointing and needs sorted promptly. Won't be back.

After an hour and a half on the road it was nice to break our journey and stop off at Logan’s for a coffee and scones etc. When we arrived as a group of three there was quite a lot of activity indicating that this was a popular venue. Calling this place a restaurant or cafe is a mockery towards both words this place is neither of those! The staff working the day of our visit were lazy and incompetent and cared more for chatting amongst themselves. The food when we got it was colder than a corpse and the staff didn't care when it was named to them. How can anyone eat in this place when it is absolutely filthy and stinks because of rotten loos close by you would need a clothes peg covering your nose to protect it. It’s been a few years since my last poor experience but I thought I’d try it again. Unfortunately it still wasn’t great. We both got toasted sandwiches which unfortunately were both just warm bread rather than toast with barely a hint of colour to the bread. The contents were not very warm as was obvious due to the cheese barely melted and still looking very much as cold grated cheese.

More and more I ask myself about the attraction of coffee shops, and more and more I feel they are generally overpriced. What, I wonder, would be a reasonable price for a cup of coffee and a small tray bake? Our recent visit was fine. I note that the rickety table mentioned in someone else's review is still there! Having said that it didn't spoil the snack we had. Service was okay, but it would have been greatly enhanced by more rapport from the staff, by eye contact and by an itemised till receipt. Till receipts, I feel, in general, say something important about transparency.

I am completely baffled when I read the comments on here about this restaurant. I have been calling here for food for years. I have yet to have had bad service or food. The comments below about the staff are horrendous. These comments must be personal and I cannot believe that “mature” adults would hide behind trip advisor to verbally attack a family run business. The cleanliness is much to be desired and don’t get me started on the toilet which in my opinion is a sewer that the Turtles would also refuse to use! I find moving along a line with a tray irritating. I prefer places where you sit at a table and the staff come to you. Maybe its some memory of work cafeterias and student meals that makes me feel that way. Their scones are gigantic, so two of us each ate one half of one. I ate the bottom half. It seemed solid and stodgy. Beyond the texture it tasted nice; pear was in the mixture. The pot of tea was good. One thing caught me by surprise, in a bad way. The chairs slid across the floor easily. That’s preferable to chairs in some places that catch on a carpet and won’t move when you want them to. When I went to stand up here I put my feet against the table support to push away, as leverage. I did not anticipate that the table would then also slide away from me across the floor.Lots of free parking. The people in the queue and the staff were polite. There were lots of food choices, oddly the desserts were put first.

Caught Logan's at the back end of lunchtime (2-30) when most people would have eaten and the staff would have been ready to wind that part of the day up, so you would have almost expected the hot food to have lost its freshness. Not so. The more than generous portion was piping hot, tasty and still fresh. I asked for a taste of another dish to try it and this was granted with a large generous smile! Whilst there I caught a glimpse of the owners Don and Joan Logan who I hadn't seen for thirty years; they almost looked as fresh as the Cottage Pie. Joan you are sadly missed, no one has or will replace your great talent, charm and welcoming smile which had the ability to move my debit card from my wallet into your card machine with the words "you've made a great choice that really looks fabulous on you" .

I have visited Logan's on two occasions. Unfortunately, neither time lived up to expectations. My first visit coincided with preparations for my wedding - my mum was looking for an outfit and after a bit of shopping we stopped in the restaurant for lunch. Whilst the food was adequate, the service was not. Many tables lay dirty and we had to ask staff to clean up before we sat down. During my second visit, I didn't actually eat in the restaurant. However, after realising the toilets were a disgrace, I (and several other customers) informed a member of the restaurant staff. They said the toilets 'had nothing to do with the restaurant' - despite the fact they are located right across the hallway! Even if this was the case, it was a shame the staff couldn't be more helpful - especially as several customers had already complained.Needless to say, I will never return to Logans. It is dated, dirty, and staff require further training in customer service.

While visiting this area today we called into Logan's for lunch. The restaurant was packed with a long queue however, it took sometime as all customers had a task to choose their lunch due to the selections of food on offer. While waiting I noticed that the turn around was continual with the staff working to clear the empty tables asap. We both choose the fish which was fresh when cooked nice and dry with a very light breadcrumb coating this came along with sides of chips & mushy peas we also ordered a side plate of mixed salads which were all mouth watering. No room for desert after this lunch as we were fully satisfied. The desert choice was mouthwatering maybe on our next visit. The cost was very reasonable. The staff were very pleasant with everyone knowing what they should be doing.

Had to up to County Antrim today and called in at Logan's for lunch, we had not been there for years. thankfully it was a nice place, good layout, good parking. Being on a healthy diet I was able to get my old faithful, Baked Potato with baked beans, simple but you get a poorly prepared one, but this was good, bacon and cheese as well, together with a nice coffee I was well satisfied and will use the place again.Forgot to say, very pleasant staff.

Our family morning at Logan's was excellent. Our granddaughter loved it! The breakfast special - eggs benedict - was very tasty and the coffee full flavoured and smooth - excellent barista!! Scones are especially good. Tables are well spaced, with comfortable chairs. Staff as always in our experience were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Background music pleasant and unobtrusive. No dislikes. Easy access to fashion for men and women means that self-control is required!

Driving up to Bushmills, feeling peckish and called in at Logan's. Quiche and salad for one and quiche and vegetables for one. Also one orange drink and a fruit scone. £17plus. I think the scone was £1.95. Very expensive!Yet reading other reviews, very few people question the price or value for money. Extraordinary! A scone at £1.95 should be excellent!A nice restaurant and nice Staff complete the picture.

At 9.20 this morning I stopped at logans and was very much looking forward to enjoying a cooked breakfast. The breakfast itself I could not fault at all, what did really irritate me was the testing of the fire alarm. It happened 5/6 times at least whilst I was there. I believe I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time, the other table was occupied by I believe staff members or perhaps even the owners. After about the 4th time alarm went off I asked the very pleasant waitress what was going on. She said fire alarm testing. At no point did anyone apologise for the disturbance. Instead of staying on to enjoy my tea and surroundings I left. Very disappointing that my obvious annoyance was not acknowledged. If alarm needs to be tested like it was this morning, do so before shop opens.

Late breakfast today. Initially served by a young lady who spent her time behind the food counter twirling her blonde ponytail, not a good start and very off putting. Tiny pot of tea for two presented with mediocre green tea. The sausage rolls were average, hard from being over microwaved to heat, they were served with beetroot salad which was 'hard' texture and inedible. Pancakes were served with berry compote which was extremely bitter resembling a cheap frozen version of mixed berries.

We had coffee in their tea room downstairs at the main entrance. And the most delicious cornflake buns. Great friendly service. Lovely coffee and the setting was good. Comfy armchair each and great view out the window. The restaurant upstairs is just as good.

I have totally fallen for this beautiful restaurant! I love everything about it, from the fresh savoury and sweet dishes to the coffee and beautiful views. The restaurant itself is always immaculate and with its elegant decor and wood-burning stove it's the perfect place whether you are visiting with a friend, for a meeting or treating yourself! The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. The only issue I have now is passing it when I don't have the time to stop!

Called at this cafe the other morning on my way to coleraine, I asked for a cooked breakfast , Well my advice is give this place a miss, food was terrible and the price charged was crazy, the bread was so hard it shattered when i touched it with my knife , no taste to it at all . I expected better from a business trading under the banner LOGANS. My friend passed a comment to someone at another table about the quality of the food and they said they visit regular and hear people complain about both the quality and the prices. My advice is stop at the burger van 1 mile up the road where you will be greeted with a smile and get food that you can eat . Wont be back

I love visiting this café with my wife & odd time with friends. I don't think there is enough credit for the food and coffee - A star every time. Clean, friendly and simply fantastic food. The gentlemen with long blonde hair is always about and I presume to be the owner - he has gone beyond the line countless times for my wife and I. Our grandson has now referred to him simply as 'the man'!!Love this place - recommended to so many friends. Will be back.

My mum and I recently visited the restaurant at Logan's and were blown away by the cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and fabulous food.. We have never had any of the hot food on offer however it looks and smells amazing.. Both times we have visited have been around brunch time and therefore we opted for scones, a tray bake and coffee.. The scones are next to none! I highly recommend the raspberry and white chocolate as it really is something else.. The tray bakes are super tasty, we had a dairy milk crunchie based one and it was to die for!! I look forward to the next time we go as I will definitely be trying some of the hot food!!

I've lived in Ballymena all my life but had never tried Logan's of Cloughmills restaurant... well until last Saturday.I arrived with family for a bite of lunch to find a tastefully decorated restaurant on the upper floor of the department store. There was a long queue for lunch but with excellent management the employees knew how to keep the line-up moving. Tables were being cleared at a rapid rate allowing new customers to find a spot to sit with no trouble. As mentioned the customer service was just perfect, the management of Logan's could certainly teach a few town centre restaurants on how to run a successful, customer-friendly business. The quality of food looked amazing. As I was only looking for a lite-bite I had a sandwich with a cold drink but the hot food options looked stunning. I certainly hope to return to Logan's of Cloughmills... "sooner rather than later".

Called in here for a quick bite on the way home to Belfast. There were three of us who between us had a Pasta dish; Potato, Leek and Bacon Soup with Wheaten Bread and Sausage Roll with Roast Potatoes. The Pasta was tasteless, the Roast Potatoes were hard and the Soup was pretty tasteless. The Sausage Roll and Wheaten Bread were actually okay. We each had a tray bake which looked gorgeous but were all a little dry. A waste of money as most of what we bought went unfinished! Sorry to say but I won't be back.

This is not the place for fine dining or a romantic meal but for coffee or lunch it's hard to beat. With good food, excellent staff and pleasant modern decor it must qualify as 'excellent'. A lot of customers would seem to agree because it's usually very busy.

On a trip from Belfast to Portstewart then a break is so necessary at Logans. Ample parking on site. A recently most tastefully decorated restaurant on first floor with open views. Staff most helpful. A wide range of on site prepared foods for all meals to satisfy both weight watchers and others .Their range of fancy must be seen.(Perhaps the background music might be turned down half a notch.)

We have been calling in at Logans for over 5 years and have never been disappointed; yesterday was no exception. Sometimes we have just had a tea or coffee break - and the cakes and scones on offer are always really good. Yesterday it was another lunch to which we added a pudding as they were irresistible: my wife had a massive slice of lemon meringue pie and I had an enormous chocolate fudge cake - which was also gluten-free. Fantastic!

Omg. I am an American in Northern Ireland for some golf. We wanted an authentic experience and found this amazing local bar. Trudy was a gracious host. Liam was on point on the music. He accommodated our American music interests - most notably Wonderwall. And then at the end of the night Liam played a nice little prank that sealed our love for this town and people. There was more but I’ll leave that unsaid. Trudy and Liam know what I’m talking about. Thank you!!!!

As a regular customer who orders from here 1-2 times a week, I was quite disappointed with my recent takeaway. This is the first time I’ve had a bad experience after countless orders. When I got home and bit into my fish, it was overcooked to the point of being inedible and had to be thrown away. Moreover, the chips, gravy, and cheese were not up to the usual standard either. I feel incredibly disappointed as I’ve always had great food from here until now.

Took advantage of the govt eat out to help out scheme - lunch for two was only £5.67. Just as plentiful, just as tasty (really good food as normal) and would have been more than well worth full price
