Republic Of Pizza in Winchester

The mocktail was the only ok thing and that’s because it’s from a bottle. The sweet pizza base was bland, over cooked, and lazily topped, a bit of Nutella and maybe half a crumbled Fererro Rocher.No effort is put into this place. And the doughnut, we’ve never had a dessert so bad, the doughnut must have been a couple of days old, stale, tough, it could be used to prop up a table and no sugar. It was even badly reheated, how do you mess up reheating a doughnut? Since eating a bite my stomach has produced some of the worst smells imaginable. Sure this place has tables, it has chairs and it even has what some may call food, but an eatery it certainly is not. This may be the republic of pizza but it is the dictatorship of Doughnut.

Bought one of the dessert deals (2 shakes, 1 waffle, 1x crepe, 1 side) £23 - Ferrero milkshake had 0 chocolate bits in, tasted and looked incredibly thin/watered down. Top top this off, the whipped cream on top was hard/had ice on it from being put in a freezer. (Most likely made well in advance and waiting for a driver to pick it up). - Crepe was soggy, not even remotely warm. Otherwise, decent enough. - Aagin, waffle was not warm, outside was hard only the inside was somewhat soft. As if it was made well in advance. -The side we ordered was apparently out of stock according to the driver so they gave us another one without calling us to ask if that was ok. Overall, won't be going again for dessert.

Lucky to get one star. Visited branch yesterday as we have before, ordered coffee and cake. Advised 5 minute wait (not told why, only another 4 customers in) but didn't mind. 5/10/15 minutes went by. Two lads behind counter were busy on their phones totally oblivious as to whats going on (no surprise there). We got fed up and got a refund with reason given, the guy who should've completed the order was out the back taking a stock delivery. Customer care or service doesn't seem to be a relevant part of their business. Will not be going there again!

I was on a business trip to Winchester, staying in the nearby Travelodge. I didn't think much would be open on a Sunday evening, but I chanced upon Republic of Pizza and Ice Cream and thought I'd give it a go as it looked inviting from the outside. I ordered burger and fires (good) but the shake made from cherry ice cream was outstanding: really good flavour and consistency.

EASTLEIGH BRANCH I decided to treat the family to ice cream we had been here before so thought it would be OK, we ordered brownie sundes x2 with no nuts to take away but was told they didn't have the correct ice cream for them so pick which flavours we wanted, once giving us the bag there was no banana or brownie just a tray of ice cream for £10 each so we said and it was an effort for them to correct this, We also ordered a tub of ice cream 2 different flavours but was asked if we wanted them in the same tub or not as this was for a child they didn't want them mixed so decided to have 2 different tubs. We also ordered a fudge cake which they didn't even have a tub for it to fit in. When we went to pay we noticed the price was more then what it was on the menu, We was told the cake was a big slice so extra we never asked for a big slice this was for a child and also that we needed to pay for the extra tub they used when they asked us if we wanted the ice cream together or in different tubs. On arguing that we didn't want a big slice of cake and that they never stated it was more to have the ice cream split and that we would not pay the extra the staff started getting rather aggressive with us telling us that we had to pay so I decided that we would leave the whole order and go somewhere else. They then got even more aggressive telling us to leave the f**king store and to never come f**king back as we was not allowed all of this was infront of our 2 kids one of them being autistic he got rather upset as they was shouting at us. I WOULD NOT RETURN EVEN IF THEY PAID ME TOO

Undercooked waffle, when asked waiter if this is the case- he just explained that it is cooked by machine 3 minutes. So must be good 😅. Felt like eating dough…. They had no plant based milk, which is a surprise nowadays. Bathroom area, especially sink has not been cleaned for a while…

Terrible all round experience. 2.5 hours for delivery !!! Then the food was awful and they refused a refund will never go back again

Republic of pizza Eastleigh. We waited over an hour for the food to arrive and when it did it was not edible. I ordered veg pizza with pepperoni. Revolting and cold!! Chips stale and cold. Do not recommend and will not be using again.

Please note this review is for the Eastleigh Branch: We ordered buy one get one free pizza for my daughters birthday, the pizza's were awful! They were cut as though a child had sliced them and it was on the most thinnest base that exists! We complained to the manager named Ahmed. Ahmed then kindly said they were very busy and not sure what happened and so agreed to rectify the situation by giving us pizza and 2 portions of hot wings the next day. The next day, I speak to Ahmed who then I found out lied to be Ahmed (manager) as another Ahmed rang back and said he doesn't know why his colleague said that as he was the manager but then agreed to deliver the pizza and wings as agreed by his colleague. We then found the delivery driver has mixed up deliveries, we had a burger and one pizza, he then came back for the burger and 10 mins later delivers us the wings. We then find there are 9 wings instead of 12! I spoke to Ahmed again and he says its not his problem and it's going to cost him to fix it! He then said the kitchen made a mistake and gave 9! It seems as though the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! Absolute rubbish service and they just make up stories as they go! The manager changes name instantly...the manager was now called Ali as Ahmed was the acting manager all of a sudden and Jawaad didn't even understand what deep pan meant for pizza! Extremely disappointed and disgusted in management and their service! I would watch out for being ripped off here! It's by far the worst place in Eastleigh.

It was my first visit with a friend who was visiting the area and we were both so impressed with the quality of our meals. The portions were good and so filling plus for such a great price! I will definitely be returning in the future to have the same meal again because it was just that yummy. The gentlemen working were friendly and honestly seemed like such a kind group and seeing their interactions with the older customers was a pleasant sight. It's a place for a good easy meal with a kind atmosphere. Was very happy with my experience!

Perfect! Dessert were amazing! Definitely worth a visit!! Really helpful and open till 11am so definitely the perfect spot to come to for dessert

We were feeling hot after a walk around Winchester in the sun, and saw this place, with ice cream on offer. There was a lot of choice. Although it was busy we were served quickly, and found a bench outside to sit on and eat our ice creams. Would visit again if in the area.

Not impressed and unlikely to order again. Food was nearly 1 hour late, the chips were soggy and the food was cold. Was simply told they were awaiting more drivers. Don't accept orders where your unable to cater to.

Ordered a pizza fairly late with my girlfriend just before close and made a mistake with the phone number meaning we weren’t able to get our pizza. However we rung up and they kindly delivered the pizza 90 mins after close still with a smile on his face and as friendly as ever. Great service and good food.

Prior to my visit to Winchester I checked TripAdvisor to find a good restaurant for an evening meal before going to the cathedral. I decided on a fish and chip restaurant & was walking down the High street towards it, when I realised that I was short on time & would need to grab a quick bite to eat instead. Saw Republic of Pizza and decided to try it. Well, I'm SO glad I did as it was a brilliant find. There is so much more than pizza on the menu. There's various freshly cooked meals. I chose a beef burger & was pleasantly surprised to find 2 home made tasty burgers in the soft brioche bun. There were various waffles, sweet pizzas & pancakes for dessert, but I opted for one of the many gelato flavours on offer. The restaurant & toilets were clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

Wandering downtown we stopped for Gelato and were greeted armless by the staff that served us well. The white chocolate blueberry was wild.
