Been coming here for about 5 months now and the food is always spot on! Staff are really friendly and genuine, enjoy a chat with them nearly as much as thier food haha! Best Keema Rice in town too!

Every dish from here is exceptional. I just had the lamb Khalsa buna and it is without a doubt the best curry I have ever had!

I ordered some food and went to collect it. The guy serving was friendly both over the phone and in person. There is a TV inside so you have some distraction while you wait for your order; they also have comfy cushions rather than hard chairs. The food was good quality, I particularly enjoyed the sag paneer. They added some free poppadoms to my bag even though I hadn't ordered them, which was a pleasant surprise. Good stuff.

Very good Indian food, lots of different menus. Best say what you want, like with tomatoes, or potatoes, with sauce or without, you will get recommendations, and after a wile you will know all the different menues.

Unfortunately feel it’s gone down hill a bit and not sure why? Always get our takeaways/deliveries from here but the last few not as good as usual. Took 1 1/2 hours for food to arrive tonight, 1 x free poppodom given for 3 meals ordered (I know they are free but they used to be more generous and give 3) food nice but I ordered a Bhuna which is a medium curry and it was SPICY!! Luckily I can take the heat but it really took the enjoyment out of it, daughter’s chicken was really tough too. Husband enjoyed his though, but all in all I just feel lately it’s not as good as it used to be sadly:(

This is a takeaway location but it was awesome. The Chicken Chili with sauce is spicy but packed full of flavor. I paired it with Egg rice. I arrived after 9pm and everything was still fresh made not a meal that had been sitting in a pan. Call ahead and pick up. Will be back

So disappointed with our meal for my sons birthday celebration. Spent £70 on food, blatantly precooked and reheated to order. Came within 30 minutes, so know way is that cooked from fresh. Very bland also. Chicken was tough as old boots and i could of chewed the onion bhajis for weeks to break down, Such a shame as they've really gone down hill. Will no longer be using them unfortunately.

I’m a bit of a foodie and travel the world for business. Whenever I am in the UK, my go-to is Indian food, which is usually far better here than the US (and I rarely go to India). Renu’s is my favorite of any place I’ve been. Broad menu - all delicious. They don’t skimp on any of the traditional spices or herbs the way so many others do. Simple take-out place that surprises me over and over again. I order from here every time I am in Cambridge - sometimes several times a week and am now on a quest to try everything on their menu.

Renu's catered for my daughters 1st birthday (50 guests). They did an amazing job and produced phenomenal food! The staff were friendly & professional, and went above and beyond! The food was cooked with fresh and high quality ingredients and the guests were raving about the taste of the food, the portions were generous and the cooking was beyond perfect! I had take away 3 times delivered so far, going for the fourth one soon. Food was delicious and the portion was really generous. The delivery driver was polite. Update:I’m so picky when it comes to food, I have been ordering the same dish the last few times ( shatkora kebab); however, this time I decided to try there curry for the 1st time, and I’m impressed :) I tried garlic chilli lamb, it was well balanced and not too spicy, just perfect. I was expecting it to be really oily but I’m glad it wasn’t.

Will never order again. I was told to bring back the food they gave to me incorrectly so they can reuse it or feed their staff… DISGUSTING (especially post covid) I specifically called up prior to ordering to make an enquiry about adjusting what I want, I followed instructions exactly how I was told to and still received the wrong order. This was not the main issue. When I called to inform them about this, the guy who answered the phone (the same guy I spoke to earlier) denied everything, argued with me for 9 minutes and blamed me. Miscommunication or not this was VERY poor customer service. On top of this I did not enjoy the food.

we have ordered a naan and chicken tikka masala. It was really disgusting. The chicken tikka masala gravy was too sweet and don't know what thay made of it was the most disgusting food we had ever ..

Really delicious food always, Chicken pathia is a particular favourite, beautiful naan and the onion bhaji is the best ever. Fast become the best place to get proper kebabs on naan in Cambridge. Im from the north and a kebab on the naan in the norm. In Cambridge it seemed impossible. Super tasty meat (the naga Donner is super!) fresh fluffy naan bread so much better than a pitta or flatbread! Simply fabulous! Update that since I’ve ordered a few more times I tend to make slight changes. I forgot on an order and when it arrived they had made the change automatically for me! NOW THATS GOOD SERVICE! Thankyou so much. Best in Cambridge. Service and food just outstanding.

By far the worst Indian i have ever tried hands down! Where to start way over priced received half a tub of veg rice minus the veg which tasted tike it had been reheated. A chicken tikka masala that was just water with a couple of floating bits of chicken that was tasteless. This is supposed to be award winning 🤣 better off getting a micro curry and save yourself £25

Wonderful Indian take away. Loved the special chicken tikka tawa and onion bahji. Also tried the king prawn dansak and it enjoyed it. The only bad thing was that the naan bread seemed overpriced. Overall it was amazing, highly recommend!

WOW. Delicious!! Fast delivery as well. Onion bhaji appetizer was great, and the price was reasonable for what you get. We had the chicken tikka Tawa (one of the house specials)--generous amount of chicken, and large pieces of peppers and aubergine. We also ordered the King Prawn Dansak, which was very spicy <3 the prawns didn't really stand out in the dish though, and it probably would have tasted the same with a different meat selection. We had a side of garlic Naan, which seemed a bit overpriced. Still, great food! Can't wait to return and try some of their other many dishes

Have been using these guys for nearly ten years and wouldn't want to try anywhere else, everything I've tried of theirs is amazing. Spot on customer service, they are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when we order. We have never had a wrong order or any badly prepared dishes in all the time we've been using them. Cannot rate them highly enough! Their Suka Tandoori Chicken is a winner 🤤

Ordered a meal with the misses and a sweet lassi. I couldn't see the lassi when the order arrived, I then phoned them and asked where it was. My man told me it was there as he packed the order himself. I told him it wasn't, he told me it was, I said it ain't, he said he'd been making lassi 21 years, I said okay. Turns out it was and he has! Big up Renu everytime, naga kebab is fire! 🔥

For me consistency is key. Renu’s food is consistently great. I hold a high standard for curry and this is by far the best in Cambridge. The chefs specials are awesome. The recent additions are just as delicious as the rest of the menu. The staff are caring and very friendly. Checking up on my orders and making sure I made the correct order (when once I made a mistake) and are very friendly too. They are happy to talk about recommendations also. Using the new online system is really user-friendly and easy. Delivery has always been on time. Overall best curry in Cambridge and great service. What’s not to love!

3.5 stars from me, the food tasted pretty good however the tandoori lamb chops are nothing to write home about and served with far too many onions in my opinion and far too fatty. Lamb chops would score as low as a 2.5. The lamb palak was again a nice flavour but the meat wasn't as tender as I would usually expect. My partner had a paneer pasanda which was very dry and uneventful in terms of sauce or flavour. A nice meal and very reasonably priced but I personally wouldn't order from here again. Our local curry house is by far the best around the Cambridgeshire area but you pay the price for the top quality.

Over 20 years eating from Renus and never been disappointed always very nice very tasty and very nice portions best sized fresh chicken breast in thier currys they also have Kebabs with different spices much better than your normal standard kebabs. These guys are top of their game. Highly recommend try them out you wont be disappointed.

atrocious!!!! order messed up twice cold and a great way to end 2020

Food was perfect once it arrived, was called to inform us it had just left for delivery (Not often you get that extra level of customer service) We initially got the wrong order and was just about to call back, but the driver called again to say he had also realised, and within 2 minutes we had the correct order. Food was tasty and still piping hot, can't fault it!

Delivery was within stated time but unfortunately the chicken tikka masala had no taste and was very bland. Way too much coconut, no spice whatsoever. Very disappointing. I'm afraid we will not be returning

On some days it is a 4 star establishment while on others it is 2: maybe depends on the mood of a chef. Menu selections do not come with rice, so remember to order it. Online menu needs some rework too. Local delivery is fairly quick albeit not included in the overall price, but they do offer 10% discount over £20 (at the time of writing). Following reopening after lockdown in 2020, they did not recover to 4-star yet, so perhaps for that overall price good to try ordering from Deliveroo, check M&S deals or even Nando’s.

Was really excited to try this place but got 3 very bland Curry's almost devoid of any flavour at all. Naans also disappointing - no real flavour and chewy. Rices were good but hardly made up for it.

Ordered chicken madras!!! Hardly any chicken and tasted like rubber tire?please also cook your meat and give a standard that is expected from a take away! Not for me!

Avoid! Had a delivery which was inedible. The meat (supposedly lamb) was incredibly tough and chewy. It was also cold and bland with little flavour. I called to ask that the driver return to collect the order less than 2 minutes after it arrived. The manager was incredibly rude, muttering expletives and "Oh my god" under his breath and essentially defending the toughness of the meat saying it was "mutton". It's rare that my wife and I treat ourselves. The kids were in bed, the food arrived and our evening plans were ruined by poorly cooked food and utter contempt from the manager. I will not be ordering from them again and have advised my family and friends to avoid them as well. Edit - The recent reply to my review (some 4 months later) is laughable and somewhat insulting. As mentioned the manager was exceptionally rude and politeness did not factor anywhere in the equation.

Foods always good. They will cater for all your needs, my kids don't usually do curry but always clear the plate from Renus

In reply to the owner’s reply dated 10/01/2020. I am understanding but please also understand from the customers perspective. It did take around 20 minutes...so one was anticipating a delicious lamb Bhuna. The lamb is the main ingredient so when it is not up to the standard expected it is disappointing. Established for 22 years which is commendable. I would have tried a piece of the lamb to ensure it was cooked and was tender before handing over to the customer. That is all... I guess as I have tried a fair few lamb Bhuna dishes I expected the same delicious tender lamb pieces. The lamb was cut in quite large pieces and I had to cut them to smaller pieces. Maybe the lamb pieces were too large to tenderise in the time allocated?! As I mentioned previously, the flavours were lovely. Thanks.

Used to be a regular customer of Renu's several years back and just moved back to the area but OMG so so disappointed in quality of food but have read afterwards that owner changed. Sorry but Not a touch on previous food. Onion Bhaji's are RED, Slimey and 3 not 4 as advertised - BINNED, Donner Naan Wrap Dry and Tasteless. Puree NO taste. WTF has happened ?? so so so disappointed with quality and feel so robbed of my money. Worth £5 AT BEST not £30 !!!
