Waited well over an hour for my food, sausage was cold, chips were like mash potatoes, gravy had leaked all over the bag. Used this place a few times and it was average. Won’t be going back now this time was a huge let down. Waste of money.

Paid over £15.00 for a large fish chips. Was visiting family for the weekend, and popped in because Rennuci’s used to be really good years ago when I used to live in Carlisle. The quality of the fish and chips was just awful. I binned it after a few mouth fulls.

"Forgot" 1/2 of the order. No seriously. How do you forget to put half of what was ordered in the bag. Absolute jokers.

Absolutely disgusting. We paid for portion of chips and jumbo sausage, £7.40 he didn’t even put the sausage in. Called up when we got home and all he said was ‘oh you coming back’ seriously? How this man is still in business, I’ll never know. Chips very basic too.

Soooo expensive in here now. 1.40 for a garlic dip!!!!!!!!! Pizzas and chips both very overpriced. I know things have gone up but this is a take away at the end of the day

What a waste of £29. Wouldn’t even feed that rubbish to me dog. Oh well you live and learn.

We are regulars at Renuccis and always have brilliant food, would definitely recommend.

Amazing time here had a great day out.. except one day I was here..seen a fish getting battered..it hadn't even done anything wrong..I cod have stepped in..🤭 yep..OK I'll stop. ( nice fish..Good pizza too to be fair )

We actually travel the other side of town to go here as the Fish and chips are way better than 2 of our local ones. The portions are great especially the large fish and chips,has gone up in price so is a little expensive but all the others seem to have done the same.

Excellent fish and chips and I only got a small for £5:50 was enough for me and I'm a bit under 16 st weight lol.

Excellent fish and chips. Giant portions. Really nice people - only short wait but started to rain and they came straight out to pull awning over to keep us dry.

Bought speciality burger and chips, burger was floating in grease also ordered mince pattie and chips they sent a cheese one (this is the second time this has happened) complained and they sent right one out but it wasn't cooked properly potatoes still lumpy and it was really strong with black pepper won't be going back!!!

Best Fish & Chips I’ve had in a long time

Has to be the worst fish and chips I have ever had & at £18 for 2 it was extremely overpriced. The fish was tough and had clearly been reheated, the chips were very greasy poor quality & the service was very slow. I was the only customer in the shop at this time..A million miles from the chip shop it once was. On the plus side the seagulls got a good feed..

We sometimes use Renucci’s and it is ok, but not this time. Staff in the shop are friendly and our food is served quick. Once we got home, we opened up the chips to find a very small (For a Large) portion of soggy, unsatisfying chips. A few chips were dripping in Vinegar, but most were cold and green. Nearly 1/2 of the portion went in the bin! Absolute waste of money!

Freshly cooked fish in lovely crisp batter, huge portions and the staff are pleasant and welcoming

They make you take a ticket and wait in turn even though you onky want a portion of chips, everyone is waiting on fish and the chips are sat there. Crackers!!!

Brilliant chips & fish and pizzas . Best in Carlisle , great friendly staff too . Stop off here on way through the town . Crispy batter , large portions, always the staff are friendly & kind.

Served quickly, made a few adjustments to order, nothing was a problem.

Don't go unless you have an hour to spare to get served and u may still not get served won't be back there

Chippy tea for six of us last night. The large portion of cod and chips was absolutely that, massive. There's a bit of a wait but there is a seating area and it also means that your food is being cooked fresh. Might have to try a pizza next time. Very large and varied menu, definitely not just a chippy.

Homemade steak pie is delicious and a must have.

the shop was lovely and clean, the fish was fresh and cooked to order, really didn't take long at all. the customer service was brilliant even though the shop was hectic (Friday night) we only waited for about 10 mins. 10/10, will definitely return!

Just got small portion of chips and small bottle of lucozade and got charged £3.20 they charged £1.80 for the bottle of lucozade double the normal price and the chips were not fit to eat most of them were bad won't be going back

Renuccis despite the name is now under Turkish ownership the same family also owning the Dalston Fryer and Dantes. Prices very reasonable, staff always sociable food of good quality and premises modern in appearance.

Must be the only chip shop in town that cooks fish to order on a Saturday lunch time!! Ok it's nice and fresh. But waiting 15-20 minutes for lunch is a bit too much! Was much better before new management took over!! They do do a high quality paper carrier bag though! :/

Well I must say this has to be the best fish and chip shop in carlisle. It's got a big menu . All cooked to order. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Kids and OAP menu / prices too . If you are local or passing through this is the best . On the main road into then from the west (it's hard to miss from the road side) Open hours are great too . Open till 9 pm

Hit and miss on occasions .The chips reheated sometimes and the fat/oil could be changed more often.

Simply the best pizzas in town. They knock spots off the competitors and they are better priced.

This used to be one of the very best chippies in the whole of carlisle,I have been using this chippy for 20 years and never had a complaint up until now....My partner nipped down for our tea and most of it was honestly inedible.The chips themselves were ok but the cheese was analogue( made with flour and water to cut cost for anyone who is unfamiliar with the term)it sat unappetisingly on top of the chips and still didn't melt nearly 40 minutes later,the gravy was watery and my partners Cumberland was awful and tasted nothing like a Cumberland sausage.All in all extremely disappointed as this chippy was one of our favourites,didn't bother taking it back,will just avoid in the future.

the chips and all the food are very good and to a high standard but can get very busy at times and if you just want chips you still have to wait behing people with big orders but the food is worth the wait

Large chips good size poetion although had to wait 10 mins just for chips. Not very nice smelling cigarette smoke from the back room wafting through..as well as it been against the law to smoke inside...it has put me off.

We had family visiting, decided on a takeaway one night and phoned through our "big order" at possibly their busiest time on a bank holiday weekend. Oops! However, the grub was lovely and the service excellent. We will definitely be back.

Excellent place always fresh food, clean, great staff, it’s under new management and more choices of food is available on their menu and they cook fish to order which is great, i have to say these guys really do care for the food they serve, they put their fish and chips in paper bags rather than plastic and this makes it even better as it stops your food going soft, overall definitely recommend.

The food here is the best on the West side of Carlisle. It's always hot and fresh and the staff are great too. The place is also always clean and the menu has a good choice.

Nice fish n chips here.. You can also get Red Cola which is something you just cant get anywhere these days and the old fashioned jars of sweets..mmmm nice

Well this is the best chippy by far...been to most in carlisle but this place is amazing, perfect chips, never been disappointed...just try it and sure you will agree...
