A shop suitable for stopping by in the morning. Because it is a shop that opens earlier than other shops. There are both coffee and snacks to choose from. But the shop's most famous thing is the muffins. #TravellingAsACouple

I had a fruit cake. It was a frozen product, not fully thawed and of poor quality.

I had rhe most delicious pistachio muffin here today. Never seen anything like it before and very much enjoyed it.

Great place for a coffee ☕️, it's a little on the expensive side especially the food but it's nice and convenient.

I haven't visit muffin break for quite some time, during this time.they have extended into next door making a larger open space. It is not waitress service, you have to order and wait for your order in a queue. Unless it's food and you are given a little cartridge alarm to take to your table , this goes off when your food is ready. I waited approximately 10mins to be served in the queue, they have a very efficient system going once you order. I made the mistake of standing at the wrong end of the queue as wasn't clear at the time . Excellent coffee. Another bonus was it is now dog friendly.

Staff making the coffee drink didn't look like she wanted to be there. Couldn't even speak. Lady on the till was much better and more friendly

Fairly average coffee shop. The staff were friendly, the food was average, bit pricey like most coffee shops, £3 for a coke, £5 for a milkshake and £6 for what was meant to be a tikka sandwich, though it didn't taste like tikka. And the mint aero milkshake didn't taste like mint aero. In all, disappointing.

Not the friendliest staff, but service was really fast and my pastry was delicious and fresh. They put cocoa on top of the cappuccino without asking and I prefer it without cocoa. But it was ok.

Unprofessional staff. Poor behaviour. First occasion one the serving staff drop the ordered item on table and tried to serve, I raised hand on it. Next time they again messed with my order. The picture attached.

I saw a picture of this place in the car park and I thought the picture of the food looked lovely. Rude service, very expensive for a very cheap long life roll of a tiny bit of bacon dried to nothing cooked about 5 hours ago. They don't do hot muffins and the food board was handwritten. The server was insolent nearly 8 quid for this and a cup of coffee. Avoid at all cost,

lovely place with a great range of cakes, muffins (go figure! lol) and Hot chocolate flavours with a great variety of alternative milks too, Food looked amazing we just stopped for a warm drink & some thing deliciously sweet, they delivered on all counts. Lovely ambience. Well worth a visit.

I don't recommend this place. I ordered 2 hot chocolates which I got in takeaway cups. I said I didn't want takeaway, but they gave it to me anyway. After opening, there were no toppings like in the photos. The service was not nice except for one lady who took our cups and she added toppings as I told her.

Had a sausage and egg bap, sausage was tasteless and the egg was an egg, (good job i added brown sauce to give it some taste) mocha was ok nothing special

The staff at the branch are very helpful. Lead by Steve, Georgia, Shelly, ebony, Shannon and Laura make you feel well and like family. The atmosphere is very and friendly. I would recommend muffin break Carlisle to anyone travelling through this fair city 😎😀

I popped into this place today after a long distance journey. I asked for 2 bacon and egg rolls and 2 sausage rolls. With a cup of hot chocolate and a cup of lattie. Granted the food arrived very fast. However we had to opt for brown bread as they had run out of rolls at 9.45 in the morning. The bread was unbuttered, the sausages were cold the bacon on my husbands sandwich looked like it had been sitting for over a week. Tbh it was just really disgusting. On top of that the price over £35 for that rubbish. You really should be ashamed of yourself. For serving food like that. I think I will contact health and safety and food hygiene to come do a random inspection

Quick and prompt service, Staff weren't very chatty, but loved the addition of the baby room. EDIT... mouldy tomato in salad today, meal got refunded..... but hey, how do you not see a squishy, mouldy tomato when plating the salad up?

Nice setting, food was nice. Staff seemed to pick and choose who they helped choose food. Happy to go back though as prices were decent.

nice place but a bit small ideal for a coffee but a bit pricy on food and cake. a kids play area nearby so you can dump the kids and relax with your coffee and a cake, if you have the cash.

Simply awful. Complete lack of customer care and attention to detail. If I had seen the amount of terrible reviews the company had received I would not have visited this cafe. If you like really watery hot chocolate this is the place for you , otherwise take my advice and spend your hard earned money elsewhere

Didn't eat here. Had a coffee, which was quite expensive, but nice. The lounge area with sofas is very relaxing and cosy. Staff are a bit indifferent.

I asked for a decaf flat white. I am 100% I was given normal coffee as had palpitations and could not sleep the whole night as my body is not used with the caffeine. Has actually put me off asking in future for decaf.

Me and my pal had a lovely day oot we went into muffin break for a treat and boy did we get it huge strawberry tarts and massive huge cups oh cappuccino well worth the money place clean and tidy service brilliant thank you x

Had a bacon and Brie panini….. £7.25……. I thought it looked a bit flat and was shocked to find one rasher of bacon and three small bits of Brie…. Definitely not good value for money. I also noticed that while tables are cleared they are not wiped clean between customers. We will not be back…..

Staff were incredibly rude (the girl who dealt with us, anyway), with a stick-up-the-proverbial type of attitude, every sentence ended in a huff and a once-over eyeball. Given the benefit of the doubt, we continued with our order, which ended up being wrong - presumably, the girl was too busy having a good old judge of me and the Mrs, rather than listening to our dietary requests. Coffee was left (severely allergic to dairy) and never returned. We're not too concerned with returning to give the store a second chance, first impressions really were enough for us on this occasion.

Nice staff, nice seating, nice coffee over priced food. £7.25 for a pannini really £7.25 I won't be buying any more food. I know things have gone up but bear in mind you can buy 4 pannini's from Aldi for roughly a quid and fillings for not much more sorry but that is profiteering

Lovely biscoff milkshake, great customer service, comfy seats, spacious and had good play room but could do with a baby gate on as my toddler kept escaping.

I’ve only got a peppermint tea for £3 which is a joke because they’ve just given me a tea bag without even opening it or anything. I looked at the prices of the food and it’s restaurant prices. The seats are broken and the staff aren’t very friendly I’m not sure if it’s because I’m the only brown one here. It’s extremely dirty all over as well

Service was fine, only had cold drinks and cake which was good, table was a little dark and cramped.

Had been a while since last visit, extended the seating area, without upgrade to original tired seating, but proving a popular place, steady business the whole time we were there, ordered two sweet chilli wraps, toasted, used to come with a side salad, but no more, was nice enough. Used to bring order to your table, now your given a timer, when it goes off go back and get your order. It was ok, but not somewhere to talk about. Is what it is. Staff were keen to get you served and done with, so felt hurried, seemed harassed and nothing to smile about, so quick service.

Normal words are typical muffin break but the staff here are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, service with a smile is so far behind this lot

This place is amazing 🤩 best scones ever!! Looks small as you go past but it's huge inside, staff are so polite and lovely, prices are reasonable, I'm definitely going back and highly recommend, took me years to find a scone where you take a bite sit back and enjoy. My partner got muffin really enjoyed, place is amazing 👏

We popped in here for some muffins as we had wanted to try it for a while but not had the chance. It was extremely busy but were served in no time, can't fault the service. We ordered 4 muffins to takeaway at the cost of £10 which is ridiculous! They all looked amazing but tastied very very dry, definitely wouldn't buy them again and not worth the money!

Love this cafe, its in the perfect location, food, cakes and drinks are great. Maybe a little pricey so it's more of a treat to go. They have a great kids room at the back which is why it's our go-to place in town.

I had coffee and a cake with a friend, great service except for mix up with coffee going to someone else, but it was sorted quickly. Very relaxed atmosphere, and has a good sized and equipped kids room, definitely go again

Beautiful meal here. Had the chicken tortilla stack served with salad and crisps, followed by the biscoff cheesecake would highly recommend.

Staff were not approachable, all complaining loudly, used vile dirty mop whilst we were sat down trying to drink the vile coffee that came with a flea on my cream! Can’t sweep a floor properly but instead move things about with said vile mop. “ I was going to clean but they’re there” was a comment that was made in earshot of us making us feel extremely uncomfortable whilst the store still had 30 mins of serving time. Would not recommend to anyone!
