Relish Eats in Birmingham

Went at lunchtime today - closed. Not opening when you're due to is just unprofessional. I notice the reviews from a year ago were positive but since the last 6 months, downhill; judging by those recent reviews, I was lucky they were closed!

Original order was oxtail with white rice and curry goat, rice and peas. The food came within 10-15 minutes of ordering. What arrived was the driest curry you could imagine full of bone with steamed veg and a tiny bit of rice. Instead of the oxtail and white rice they sent steamed veg, rice and peas again with fried chicken which was basically freezing cold. Like they had just put leftovers in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then when I rang and asked about it, the guy said he tried to contact us which is a lie and blamed the Uber driver for it coming cold. Which isn't acceptable because the place is 4 minutes away from my location and we tracked the driver from when he left the shop. Will not be going there again. Highly recommend to STAY AWAY, unless u want cold food and the wrong order.

Worst food I've ever had! Was so dry and the Mac and cheese was just mush, I threw the whole thing in the bin

Food tasted old. Stew chicken was dry and overcooked Curry Goat had no flavour and no gravy at all. The rice and peas was dry Coleslaw was shop brought and tasted out of date Friendly service but bad food.

Food rubbish won't be going again no peas or dumpling frozen carrots used very bland and cold left overs probably before closing

Ordered jerk chicken meal and a goat curry meal plus a festival. The festivals weren't festivals, they were chewy soggy dumplings.. The lamb in the curried goat was nicely cooked and tender however no spice or herbs to be found and if there was any sauce/curry it was totally soaked up by a mountain of dry, hard rice and peas... Totally tasteless.. the jerk chicken was slightly better as there was some actual jerk sauce.. however didn't taste like it had been bbq'd.. And was bland..and the chicken tasted like it had been cooked several days ago, and again served on a mountain of hard, dry inedible rice and peas. Duno what to say as I was so hungry. I was really looking forward to this. Its rare I ever afford a takeaway as money is tight but I've been to ill to shop and cook for a couple of days. I've never thrown food away so much food and hate waste. I feel really bad as I so want a decent local carribean to do well. Quality over quantity wins everytime for me

Food was absolutely awful, was refund £4.10 for a £30 order. The rice was hard, the mutton was dry and chewy no juices with it at all, the chips was so undercooked. Never ever will I order from here again.

Amazing food and excellent customer service. Will definitely be going back soon. The flavours are so good that its so easy to over eat without even knowing you're over eating.

Veg was fresh to death, jerk chicken was very succulent and full of flavour. Will definitely be back again to eat here, keep up the good work

I ate there recently and had the jerk chicken. It was delicious and the steamed veg was really fresh. Good portion size too. Finally a quality Caribbean takeaway in the area.

Great fried chicken with rice and peas. Also just eat had a problem delivering but they phoned and delivered themselves. Going above and beyond to make sure we had our food warm. Would definitely eat there again.

Fresh, authentic and tasty food. Really good service and friendly staff. We collected and the food was ready on time and generous portions given. A favourite is the Ackee and saltfish, the dumplings were lovely and warm and fresh too!

Amazing food, melt in the mouth smokey and rich chicken - 100% best jerk chicken I've had in Birmingham (and I feel I've tried pretty much every West Indian restaurants in the area).

Just noticed this opened up so went in to get some curry goat, rice n peas and jerk chicken. So great and it has that home made helping. Feels so healthy too with the streamed veg and without fat all over the meats. The ginger in-house drink is 🔥 👌 and I recommend it. Coming back soon to try the other offerings too. Can't wait
