Regent Chinese Takeaway in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Not the nicest Chinese I’ve ever had really.. nicest bit were the chips. And to top it off a couple hairs swimming in the food which wasn’t one of ours as all of my family have blonde hair🙈. We never normally go here but since our normal Chinese was shut we went here seeing good star ratings but was disappointed in the end sadly:(

Fantastic place, they do Gluten Free which is just amazing, the only Chinese locally that does it, I have celiac disease and never had a reaction from eating here, use it once or twice a week, fantastic food, amazing staff, would be lost without it the place.

Not good at all, re-heated chips like cardboard and frozen ribs! Found an hair to top it off…very expensive for what we got. Such a shame as this used to be a very clean/tasty Chinese takeaway but has declined over the years.

My freinds food had a hair in and my food had paper all throughout the food. we also had some cold food and a pea in the food.won’t be coming back rude

I frequently use this takeaway because special curry is outstanding and chips are die for however, that was last Friday, this Friday 10th of June it was discusting burnt tasting chips and watered down special curry!!!! All four of us were disapointed and will not be spending our cash £40 there. It could not be a mistake they know what they are doing being greedy, it just does make sence

The bloke on the phone “PATRICK” spoke to me like crap I will not be going back to this place again even though been going for years

Have been to Regent many times over past 17 years, but this year the service is terrible. We rang order through & was told it will be ready in 30 mins & they would ring us. Waited 45 mins & no call, but was told it would be another 15 mins. There was no apology. I eventually went to shop & got food over 1 hour after ordering it, again no apology. This has happened the last few times I have ordered with them, but NEVER AGAIN, as I will be using the Chinese across the road 'HAPPY HOUSE'.

Very good food all round I think I have had most of it over the last 16 years regular customer for those years and it will stay that way. I would imagine you get hiccups in all these small food takeaways but I really enjoy the food and can always rely on the delivery. Andy

RUDE service when asking about gluten free!! Have ordered gluten free from them several times before but they seem to pick and choose when they can do gluten free meals at the moment. Call one time and can have gluten free and then the next time you call they are not doing gluten free because they dont have a separate fryer when i am well aware they have. Seems like it is too much trouble for them. I have also been told one time that they are not doing gluten free as it was too busy, so us coeliacs have to go without!!

Had a family meal all 6 of us enjoyed it the food was nice . We got it in the early tea hour so was a bit cheeper .

Well receiving my food with this comment? Think it will go in the bin thank you not! Had this Chinese for nearly a year every week but this is a joke to far.

Recently moved into the area this Chinese was highly recommended by my farther who has been using this place for years he comes from out of town to eat here I must say I do see why the food is bang on

Horrendous Where do i start Prawn crackers yes maybe free but stale and greasy The curry sauce tasted like flour The crispy chilli beef was half a portion and not crispy The garlic and chilli sauce was tasteless nothing more then a stronger dish water flavour Prawn toast tasted nothing but you got a mouth full of oil as bit in to it Chips were clearly refried Fried rice bland Overall total rubbish Chicken balls are 2 giant chicken sticks Avoid! Go to Iceland and get a quid curry it would taste better!

We ordered set meal for 8 people , was for my sons 18th. Had it delivered was on time .food was excellent and lots off it . Will be going again .

We have been using this Chinese for about 4 years now an I can honestly say that this is the best Chinese ever in Hull. If you require any changes to the meal then it’s done . The salt and pepper ribs are to die for like wise the salt and pepper king prawns. Mains are all good staff friendly would totally recommend this place

Regent is our regular Chinese, always packed out. Sometimes easier to go into the takeaway as getting through can be a long wait. Recommend Singapore noodles!

What a shame as this take away was worth the drive but we won’t again after this week. Chicken curry was tasteless and the noodles smelt off. A bit like ammonia, as soon as my other half opened the box it smelt off. Rice was quite dry too. All in all v poor.

Our usual takeaway was shut, tried here as a one off and was nothing but disappointed. BBQ ribs were good. Chicken tasted rubbery, beef was very tough and pork balls were grey! Chips were undercooked and hard. The whole meal was greesy! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Recentky moved into the area so tried thus place. Staff are friendly and the chowmein.s nice but the sauce is runny the chips are nice aswell I.d definitely try again though

Having not used this take away for some time I decided to go. Choosing off their tea time special menu we were served 3 meals full of taste. Two chicken dishes cooked so well with big chunks of chicken that wasn't slimey. We also chose off the kids menu and believe me if your child doesn't have a big appetite then be careful what you order. We ordered chicken in batter chips and curry sauce. When we served it up there were 5 huge chicken strips in a golden crispy batter and when I say huge we're talking at least 4x2". I would have struggled to polish that off .

He visitado el Regent para comida china hace ya varios años. En todo ese tiempo no he tenido una razón para quejarse. Los platos son siempre caliente, delicioso, y tienen un tamaño generoso porción.

Nuestra habitual para llevar a la China estaba cerrado martes como lo ha sido durante muchos años, pero era el cumpleaños de la esposa y ella quería chinos así que probamos el Regent, que estaba abierta. Pedimos al mostrador y esperamos para nuestra comida.

Me encanta este lugar. Siempre es bueno ver la clasificación de higiene en la la puerta y poder ver cómo se preparan su comida. Que tienden a experimentar eligiendo algo nuevo en cada visita, pero siempre opto por "especiales", ya que nunca puede decidir cual carne a elegir. Por lo menos con un especial que te dan un poco de todo, y aquí todo es tan fresco, especialmente el que son langostinos sin duda vamos a ser incluidos en mi última comida (si alguna vez me captura).

This is my local Chinese and I use it often! Never had a bad meal! Always hot,good quality food and plenty of it for the money! Fast delivery even when they're busy! A* from me! :)

Mejor comida china en la zona, el personal amable y la comida aún mejor la tienda siempre está lleno, que dice mucho acerca de un lugar. Debe de ser bueno. La entrega es normalmente alrededor de 45 minutos y nunca ha sido demasiado tarde. Recomendaría

Este es sin duda la peor comida que he comido en mi vida. Cocidas, no fresca, descuidadas, horrible comida pero estaba caliente. Nos probamos un sitio nuevo, pero todo lo que conseguí fue horrible. Rollos de tortitas, horrible sándwich de carne en lata, fideos de arroz y antiguo descuidadas. Me hubiera dado un 0, pero sólo se puede hacer 1.

Creo que este es uno de los mejores en hull.su especial Chow me es precioso.No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente.

Nosotros usamos esta para llevar a unos 4/5 veces al mes, el mejor de la zona - alguien nos lo recomendaron y lo que puedo decir que se puede pedir en el teléfono y sólo se tarda 10 minutos y está listo

The only thing that was good about this was the chap who delivered the take away. The fillet beef Cantonese style was in edible as was the rice and t h e lemon chicken was soggy they forgot two parts of the order and had to return twice. Expensive and rubbish. Would not recommend or return.

We've just ordered from here as our usual Chinese up the road was closed. The chips were over done, the curry Luke warm and not much taste. The chicken fried rice could have been boiled. It took nearly an hour for deliver. Would not recommend.
