We have been to Reflections on a number of occasions now and can say, it's well worth a visit. Firstly, it has to be pointed out, that this is not your everyday Restaurant, as it's part of a College and is used primarily to offer people the opportunity to dine, in an environment that is focussed on the development of young catering and hospitality students, to hone their skills, in a proper environment. They offer lunch time menus, that are exceptional value and as a result are very well attended, by those in the know. The Evening meals are usually on set days and are themed, based on the thoughts of either one person or a team. The one we attended yesterday, was based around James Bond and consisted of 7 courses, that were more in line with what could be referred to, as a taster menu, but was nevertheless very enjoyable. Every course was very tasty, well presented and complimented it's predecessor and was excellent value. Our waitress was extremely attentive, courteous and will be a real asset to whoever employs her. She asked us if we would require wine and we advised her that we don't actually drink alcohol and she was quick to point out, that the menu had a Martini Sorbet in it, which contained alcohol, however it was not an issue and was delightful. Another person on another table was a vegetarian and they changed a couple of the courses to suit. The whole Team on the night was excellent and deserved a round of applause for their efforts. During the day, there is also a Bakery in the College, that is open to the public and turns out some really nice products, at decent prices. This is one of those places, that is really different and if you want to see young people being encouraged to shine, in their chosen profession, then you should enjoy your visit, but don't tell everyone, as it's a little gem.

Went as a party of four, a special offer of 3 course lunch for £5 each. Each course was of high quality and beatifully presented, as good as we've had in 5* hotels. Two choices per course, no problem for any of our party.

A most enjoyable evening with my husband and daughter. We enjoyed a exceptional five course meal followed by tea or coffee all for £13.95.The students could not do enough to ensure we wanted for nothing. We look forward to our next meal and at these prices they will be regular ones.

Considering the food was prepared by young people learning their trade the food was great and comparable to most restaurants in the area. The wine was very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again especially when they are in their new premises.

Went this evening. This is a working course by level three students, overlooked by their tutor both at front of house and in the kitchen.5 course meal, absolutely superb.excellent food, beautifully presented and extremely tasty and well cooked. The students were attentive and charming, talking to the diners and ensuring everything was pleasing. At 11:99 each and reasonable bar prices extremely good value for money. We will most definitely return. A pleasure to dine there and what a credit to the college. Each student in turn takes on a supervisory role with her colleagues and the tutor critiques their performance for their development. The food was better than some very pricey restaurants.Excellent. Thank you

Went on a theme night with friends, it had been some time between visits and previously had decent food, but this one was over priced under cooked and if I had been on my own would have refused to pay.

On 23rd March my wife and I had dinner at Reflections Restaurant at Tameside College. It was a five course tasting menu which had been developed with the French at the Midland Hotel. It was excellent with optional wine with each course. Great food, great wine and marvellous value. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Exceptional value for money. Need to bear in mind that the staff are in training and can get very nervous. Even so excellent food and service. A bonus there is a lift to the first floor where the restaurant is. This was our second visit and will definitely be going back. Some of our party had steak - cooked to perfection.

Cannot recommend this enough. 3 courses of top notch posh food. All 4 of us cleared all our plates. Great service from students who behaved very professionally and who should be very pleased with themselves. Can't fault anything and special mention to Sophie for the crepes that she cooked at the table. Superb coffees to finish as well. Give it a try you cannot eat anywhere to this standard at such a small price - less than £12 each.

This was our second visit to Reflections and the standards were just as good. We arrived at the beginning of the September term and it was the first night for the students to serve paying guests. Silver service is not easy on your first night with strangers watching you but all the students performed well putting the food on the plates. It is a three course meal with two starters, three mains and two sweets, the food was fantastic, you will not eat any where better for £12.95, there is also a well stocked bar. All the students were very friendly and helpful, our table waitress Sophie was a star, even when I asked for rice pudding she did the right thing ,went to ask the chef and returned with the answer. We all enjoyed the evening and would have no hesitation in recommending Reflections Restaurant to anybody who likes good food. Give it a try and help the students in their careers.

This is a training restaurant for students at Tameside College so your expectations are not very high. It was great to be wrong. The restaurant has about 30 covers and is pleasantly situated on the first floor with a well stocked bar and reasonable wine list, although out of stock of John Smiths and Boddingtons the Spitfire was great. This is fine dining and all courses in our party of five were cooked to perfection. We had a choice of two starters, four mains and two sweets All the front of house students were very smart in black uniforms, they were attentive and helpful and served the food in a friendly and efficient manner. We shall certainly be back for this fine dining experience, which must be the cheapest three course meal in the area.

I have eaten here quite a few times and it never ceases to amaze me how good the food and service is. These are young people just learning their trade but their professionalism is excellent. Today, as I have done a few times previously, I visited with my daughter who has multiple food allergies. The first time she visted with us we informed the staff well before hand details of her gluten free and FODMAP diet, the saff and students researched the diet and now keep all her details on file so that they are able to cater for her. The food today was as good as usual and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I have also visited with a group of friends in the evenings our particular favourite evening is Burns Night. My only gripe with this lovely place is that it isnt open every lunch-time or evening.

First of all my complaint. They should open every evening!Had heard about how good Reflections was, But it's just a college canteen with young kids learning to cook. WRONG.Went for lunch with a group from our Yoga class and for once I'm lost for words. The cost for our lunch £9.95 for a three course meal with a choice of three dishes in each course. I had Potage Bonne Femme for starter. Potato Gnocchi with Mornay sauce followed by Apple Crumble and Custard. I'm not a vegetarian just fancied it and it was beautiful.I have a very, very expensive favourite restaurant, just for special occasions and to compare the two, Reflections didn't have lovely views over the hills, didn't have a nice lounge to take coffee and didn't have posh linen serviettes. I could lunch for a year here for the price of one lunch at my posh restaurant, but notice I didn't compare, food or service. Bit of a let down for my posh place. The place was full but it didn't affect the food or service, the young men and women serving us where what you would expect in any good, well run restaurant, the food beautiful and well presented and served on warm plates. I know my moans about hot plates drive everyone mad, I like my hot meal served on a hot plate. As I said at the begging my moan is they should open every evening and I'm sure they would still fill the place and perhaps we wouldn't have to book weeks in advance. They have themed lunches and dinners. Our gang were so impressed they booked for an afternoon tea in a couple of weeks, unfortunately I'm trying to lose weight so, so far have declined. It's my 70th birthday shortly, knew where we were going to dine, can only afford it for very special occasions, nice lunch, nice view over the hills.Changed my mind, going to Reflections now instead! As I said I'm speechless.

The food is delicious if you can get what is on the menu! Each time I have ordered a dish there has been something unavailable - no hollandaise, no chorizo etc. It’s a shame because what they do have is lovely and it has a nice little venue.

Went in today and had our regular breakfast but also got the chance to sample the new pizza!!! They were absolutely amazing and compared to some of the best ones I’ve had in Manchester! Staff are all really friendly and helpful and remember you from previous visits! Can’t wait to go in again soon for pizza!

My mum pops in when out shopping to buy treats for the kids, they make lovely gingerbread biscuits, the latest she bought were Paw Patrol characters, my 3 year old daughter loved her Skye gingerbread. Mum also gets pies and sausage rolls for an easy lunch, all very nice.

Double D's provided hot food for my 50th party. The customer service was amazing from my first enquiry. Everything needed was provided by them, plates, napkins etc. The food was outstanding. All my guests went up for seconds. I would highly recommend and would not think twice about using again.
