Really fantastic food and good and attentive service but severely let down by the room being so cold on a very cold March day. Customers were coming into the dining area in heavy coats, scarves and hats and keeping them on as it would have been uncomfortable to take them off. There was a fireplace in the room but at no stage was it lit and staff seemed unaware of how cold customers sitting at tables were. We overheard one man at the bar asking if there was anywhere warmer to sit as he was cold.....but no steps were taken to make conditions warm and welcoming for diners. Despite the food being so good, it didn't make you feel like rushing back, certainly not during the winter months. What a pity as we drove quite a distance to have lunch at The Greyhound based on a recommendation.

We go to the Dovecote twice a month for their excellent 'pub quiz'. Great entertainment, excellent food and a great range of beers and spirits. Always a great crowd and a fantastic pub.

We had the most amazing homemade pizza last night, great service! Great atmosphere! Thank you to the team!!

Fabulous old-world pub with a log fire and comfortable seating, quirky and cosy.

What's not to like. There is banging cake and banging coffee. Staff are great. Clean and tidy. Oh did I mention they do banging cake and coffee 👍🏼
