Reel Fish and Chips in Bolton

We've been here before and it was really nice, but this time round the fish was chewy and the chips, peas and gravy were really bland and had not taste.

Perfect fish & Chips, Fish Cooked just right, Been back several times now everything cooked fresh, Staff are Friendly always been as good as the first time ! Would Highly recommend

Really fresh and tasty food - not at all oily or greasy for what it is. Everything is pretty much cooked to order and I love the way it is served in card boxes as opposed to those tacky polystyrene containers. Well priced and of a high standard. The service is friendly and efficient. The fish bites are my favourite thing but be warned the portion is enough for 2 to share so really good value for money as it is like normal fish you get from a chippy but cut in smaller pieces which is more delicious as you get more crispy batter!!

Great tasting fish and chips- superb place for traditional English food. Should pay a visit - chips are made from good quality potatoes- the fish is very fresh & if a good size.

Bought the £3 lunch time small fish n chips. They say small but I still couldn’t finish the chips. Nice crispy fish batter. Swift service. Highly recommend.

The food is just horrible. No idea what the sausage is. It's not nice at all. Overall spent £20 and none of our family enjoyed it at all. Even the chicken nuggets were not edible. I would not recommend this place at all. The service is very slow and chips are very greasy.

This place used too serve some quality food .. It just seems too show a good decor of the reels fish & chips decor .. On the street. The quality & hygiene gone south .. Realty is darn shame ..

Judge for yourselves, I'm a regular, or was a regular ?? Had stomach bugs after eating at reel fish & chip shop Bolton uk. My mate runs the place told me the food is haram, unfortunately fried with pork & other haram food .. I've been let down by these "pagan's" .. Bye bye ..

I have called into this establishment on 2 occasions. If you have skipped breakfast and need a quick and reasonably priced meal for lunch I found the Reel Fish and Chips to be an adequate place to visit. On the above occasions I found the fish was cooked as you wait there were no fish precooked in the hot hob and the chips were cooked fresh not warm ups.

Me & my work colleague's have been numerous occasions, Salma is just a terrible person, the food is disgusting and really gross. They don't seem too listen on feedback, curry is undated, gravy is gross texture is lumps, fish is recycled day after day, chips are mixed with new and old, samosa's are too salty.

Went on recommendation. Huge portions at bargain prices. Lovely fresh food. Have recommended to others. Wish they had lots of seating. Would go with whole family

Tasty, fine chips, fish coupld be a tad crispier*, but super flavour and everything else - got to be one of the four best chippies round here. I'm not maxxing out the review bars out of goodwill. Service price and quality are 5/5 - Out of 100? - I'd give it 92/100

I had been out for the afternoon and was passing and thought I would give it a try. Staff were really friendly and polite. I had fish, chips and peas they were lovely will definitely be back again.

Well worth the wait. You could tell that they had cooked it fresh while we waited. Generous portions and very tasty. Reel fish and chips are REAL! Yum!

The Fish and Chips tasted the same, of the HORRID FAT they were cooked in. Horrid flavour on the whole meal, like used fat. The fish batter was soft, which would have worked better for the chips, and made them more like Proper English chips. Theirs were like rock hard,dry doorsteps. Overall the meal was inedible because of the cheap used fat flavour. Yuk.

Superb chippy with consistently good food. They do it well and I have never been disappointed. The chips are served in card board boxes and stay warm enough till you get them home. Highly recommend fish, chips and peas, what more would you want!

Fab chippy the chips were delicious not fishy! Appeared clean and didn't leave my clothes smelling like I'd been stood in the shop all day. Great choice of other items you'd expect in a local chip shop too. Can't wait to return.
