Reedcutters Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

We were at the Vauxhall Holiday Park for the HRH (Hard Rock Hell) Prog 14 music festival. With the music days ending very late, we only got to the restaurant just in time for breakfast, even though they serve it up to 11:30! We both had a full English breakfast with coffee, and it was a tasty, substantial fry-up- just what we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Darcy and Mimsey, who were only too happy to talk to us and answer any questions we had. Recommended.

Camping on the site, so a bit of a captive audience, but…. Food was very good, reasonably priced, not cheap, but it was worth the price, the staff were friendly and attentive. The app works well, the menu is nice and easy, with some unusual dishes, not just everything with chips. Nice! Jasper was an attentive and friendly person, there was a young lady, unfortunately didn’t get her name, but again friendly. Will be going back soon and that’s from someone who doesn’t like restaurants!

Had dinner, breakfast and lunch through out our holiday, food enjoyed and service very good. One of the staff members Rye, went above and beyond to make our experience memerable, would recommend it to other families.

Didn't even have a chance to order and eat breakfast. Waited at the bar, staff give eye contact but then walked away, ignored me and pretended to do something else rather than serve me. Why? I am repulsive to you and scare you? Don't you want my custom? Am i not worthy of your service? Is there only certain types of people you can serve?Me and my family decided to make our own breakfast back at the caravan. Won't be coming back thats for sure, we'd rather go somewhere we are welcome.

We arrived on Friday evening and decided to eat in the restaurant, from the moment of asking the lady behind the bar Rye some information and her taking the time to speak with us was brilliant, the waitress mimsy was also amazing, we came in every day and both mimsy and Rye were working every time we came in, all the staff were very good but these 2 just went above and beyond not just for us but for every customer they served, today there was an issue with the pepsi machine just being fixed and when she came to the table she was very apologetic and explained everything, I explained I am diabetic so needed sugar free drinks to which she then went and checked all the cordials for the least sugar content and brought with a fizzy water, very very helpful thank you Rye, mimsy has also been very thorough always checking we had everything such an outgoing lady we hit it off with her the minute we walked through the door, so much banter between us all, thank you mimsy,the food portions were amazing ,great quality foods,great deals ,and worth very penny

All the Staff were brilliant, the food was amazing, well cooked, hot and tasty. Great value for money, facilities are clean and there was plenty of room to sit even with Mum in a mobility scooter. Special shout out to Mimsy one ofthe food servers she made us so welcome and gave us some brilliant tips on where to go. Rye also helped us with local directions and advice on how best to get around the park so helpful what a fantastic team

Mediocre food like every other pub stuff but more expensive everything was okay until..... Staff placed token into the ice cream cup you use but not before touching the bottom with his finger. I actually felt bad asking for a replacement cup until we left and saw him picking his nose .... WTF Dean parks TRAIN YOUR STAFF AT LEAST IN BASIC FOOD HYGINE

The restaurant was amazing highly recommend. Staff great especially Kezza. I have stayed at a lot of caravan parks and this restaurant was far the best I had ever been too the food was really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service from Mimsey and Rye, they couldn’t do enough for us and were extremely welcoming from the word ‘go’. Thank you both so much for your excellent customer service . Food was average, good portion size but slightly over priced!

Been here for a week had some lovely meals and wrote some lovely reviews but this morning for breakfast the food runners attitude was awful, didn’t want to help, not organised, no pleases or thank yous and no check back- she really looked like it was a chore to be working here. First rude member of staff I have come across but she has really put me off coming again.

Visited for an evening meal. Food was good, felt a little pricey but is inside a holiday park. Service was quick and nice staff. Clean and tidy and all pleasant enough.

Our first visit and it was amazing! Compliments to the chef as it was the best steak we had ever eaten and the crispy fried chicken was really good too! The service was quick and the team were fabulous. Every member of the service team were polite, cheerful, friendly and nothing was too much bother. Mimsy was the icing on the cake she has a beautiful personality I have never had service like it.

Came tonight for a family birthday meal. Mimsy was amazing from the start! She was lovely when handing the cake and asked for the name to sing happy birthday. Came out with the cake making sure she sang and even bought a plate saying happy birthday in chocolate sauce. She made the whole experience amazing and definitely deserves the recognition!

Ate here twice whilst staying in the caravan park and was extremely happy. Ordering from the app at the table makes life very easy. The food was extremely good and the staff are amazing and so friendly.

Ordering easy on the app however breakfasts without coffee a bit weird, 10 of us went 5 adults 5 kids.food all ordered together but came out so slow at 3 meals a time, Had to wait for cutlery because forgot to pick up, some food had been sat around prior to serving that toast was cold other food, plate was so hot on some that the the butter was almost liquid in packet.

The food was lovely and the service was great, many thanks to Miriam our waitress she was very pleasant and always had a smile on her face.

The service is good, friendly staff who were welcoming and happy to help. The seating area is clean and spacious, not too noisy. The food was served quite quickly despite it being very busy.

Staying at Vauxhall we decided to pop in for lunch, four of us including two children, only food available was a carvery, not bad with just a few comments: food was hot, the chef was very chatty and it all looked good, the chef cut massive portions of meat which none of us could finish? The roast potatoes were tiny? And the gravy was SO thick it could not be poured sort those things out and all would be great

Had the misfortune of having breakfast here. Not great. Different stuff on the menu either gets delivered by the waiter or have to que for usual breakfast. Servers have no idea. I ordered a small breakfast and got a big one. Had to wait for eggs but then breakfast was cold including the so called fresh eggs

Used to have a great choice main menu and a buffet Curry night, Chinese night, Spanish night and so on not doing that this year very disappointing.

We arrived at Reedcutters at approximately 19.30 to an almost empty restaurant, lots of tables to choose from. You are required to order at the bar, the member of staff serving us although trying to be helpful was very unsure of where things were on the till and in the general bar area, we had to repeat simple orders 3 or 4 times. The food for what it is, is very overpriced, for 4 of us, just on mains and drinks (no alcohol) came to just shy of £60, then an extra £25 for desserts.

A bit more expensive than most pubs. The evenings we went in the tables where not being cleared and a 40min to an hour's wait after ordering food seemed to be the normal. To me it looked like under staffing and training issues.

I came here with my family this evening, got told there is an hour wait for a table. With it being the only place to eat (unless you wantes take away) we decided to wait for the table. We went back and our table was ready, the menu was basic, could tell it was all microwaved pre made stuff. Anyway we went to the bar and ordered and was served by a nice lady called Mollie who told us it was a 45 minute wait on food which was odd because it wasnt busy but i was ok with it anyway. We waited for near an hour before asking where the food is and the lad came back and said about 10-15 mins but that's half an hour after they said it would come, i had a 4 year old with me who hasnt ate since lunch(the time was 21:00) and it was time for bed so i asked for a refund. We went into the restaurant and was advised to book a table and the next available one was for an hours time. We decided to wait as it was our first day at the holiday park and we were all hungry and hadn’t fully explored our surroundings.

Well i have to say i found this place by chance

We only ate here once which was Monday the day we arrived. We ordered chicken and bacon salad, steak pie, and a curry, we also asked for a jug of tap water and glasses. We didnt have to wait too long about 15 minutes. The portions were generous, the food and plates were hot. The staff were all friendly. We will be happy to eat here again

Were as the food when it arrived was very good and the staff very helpful it took far to long in arriving. We ordered at 6.40 no meal by 7.10. We asked how long it would be because two of us were diabetic we was told 10 to 15 mins. At 7.40 asked again as by this time I was having problems they fetched manager who apologised and said it would be at least 10 mins as they were unusually very busy at this point my son fetched our medication because I was starting to have a hypo. Our meals came at 8.20 the others enjoyed there meal but I was unable to eat mine because I was so unwell. Instead of enjoying our last night I had to return to our van as my blood sugers had dropped to 2.2 which is very low. It spoiled what had been a very good holiday.

February half term holiday - so it was not too busy. After taking my money, told there would be a 45 mins wait. Not happy but ok grandson wanted to stay, so we did - 1 hour later the food arrived. A kids pizza and a steak pie meal for me. Almost cold. Literally 5 minutes to the time they stopped food orders, there was no point in complaining when you are already starving. Our first and last trip to the restaurant. A shame as I had been willing to go there for x3 meals a day. Their loss!

Absolutely disgusted by the service, table left covered in plates and drinks for 15 minutes but yet there was waitresses standing around doing nothing and just chatting to each other, waited 40 minutes for our food but tables that came in after us got their food first, waitresses were rude and to be perfectly honest did not seem trained or knew what they was doing. Food was definitely not worth the wait as came out on the verge of cold.

Arrived Friday 2nd June late evening, they had a curry night and it was very good and it was all you can eat. Service with a smile.

We have stayed on site in our caravan and used this restaurant a couple of times while the kids played in the park. It's clean and tidy and the staff friendly but the drinks and alcohol are over priced we ordered chips to nibble on and there must of been 10 in a pot for £2.50. We won't be eating a full meal there as too expensive.

We have been going to Vauxhall 3 times a year every year now for some time for the Gold weekenders.The Reedcutters restaurant is always normally fantastic value and great food - We normally eat here for every meal while we are staying - This time we found the portion sizes had been drastically reduced and the prices raised. They now serve your food in a tiny prison style metal bowl - maybe to disguise the fact that the portion is so measly. We will not be returning unless it is for the carvery on a Sunday or Breakfast both of which are very good,

First time hereOverpriced, poor quality food.One of us had hunters chicken, the chicken was dry and tasted nasty and cheap.I had tacos (in a tortilla wrap?) which was nice but asked for beef and got given chicken! Was nice but not enough for an adult.Only good thing was service but probably because there was only us and one other table occupied in the whole restaurant.Poor and won't be coming back.

on the Friday we went to use the vouchers we had been given due to the disasters with 2 caravan ............no chicken left no steak left ( it was busier than they thought it would be so was running out of the most popular choices) overpriced for simple food employing all teenagers is never a good start

Really lets the site down. Nearly £50 for an average meal for two adults and two children. My daughter had a gluten free option which whilst good that there was an option was again disappointing. If you have no other option then it will suffice, but walk another 5 minutes and go to the Brewers Fayre outside.

Really nice place to eat at.we ate there most nights. Staff really friendly always go out their way to make u feel welcome.

Come here every year when visiting the lovely caravan park. Went to the carvery on Sunday and felt let down, beautiful meat but all the veg hadn't been refilled neither had the Yorkshire puddings so basically had meat and potatoes. One waitress cleared our plates one by one when we had finished eating mine got taken before I had finished eating my last mouthful. Puddings were gorgeous. Went on our last night and staff were rude plus our plates were not cleared this time and sat with them on the table while we ate our Puddings. Never had any problems previous years but not happy this year. Don't seem to see any managers/manageress around maybe they need to be to keep an eye on the customers.

Kids had the buffet which was a good mixture of their favourites including salad/veg as a healthy option,can recoment the nachos..so delicious!

Lovely food...Sunday carvery, friendly staff too, and nice decor. Although we had read a few bad reviews we were pleasantly surprised, the food was tasty a lovely Sunday carvery. One of our party even had mashed potatoes made especially.

Staying on Vauxhall Holiday site and used the restaurant there. It was really good and very good portions. I shall upload the menu as prices were good and they cater very well for vegetarians and gluten free.

It's visit and last !! The staff aren't very friendly and unhelpful , children's buffet was overpriced and dried up with the only potatoes being chips when I asked if I could have a little rice from the curry buffet on the same serving area I was told "NO" abruptly !! He steak was so thin and not worth the £16 charged . The waitress started to clear before we'd all finished and the said " pass me ya plate " basic waitressing skills .

Been here previously and it was ok but this time round it was pretty poor carvery took a ridiculous amount of time ,queuing was stupid with just o e guy on service by the I got back to the table my companions had finished ! Gave it another try and got the order wrong and wasn't over warm so after 2 attempts and nearly £80 later gave up on the place

Good food at good prices.Sunday Carvery has choice of four meats and all you can eat veg,etc.Buffet Breakfast has two options of standard or mega,either are great value for money.

We don't usually eat out in the restaurant on holiday park but this year decided to. Pleased we did staff were very helpful and friendly catered well for space for my 2 sons in their wheelchairs. We had Sunday carvery buffet absolutely lovely food very lush. We also tried the Italian buffet night too loved it preferred it than Pizza Hut lovely pasta meals, chips and pizzas. Can't wait to go back in there next year on hol :) thank you to all the staff :)

We had a fairly poor lunch during the week (steak sandwich was actually just that. A lump of gristly steak between 2 slices of sunblest) so we decided to avoid Reedcutters for the rest of our stay. But we were hungry on Sunday and popped in.. There was a huge carvery on offer. We sat down and stuffed ourselves with succulent turkey, well roasted beef and all the trimmings. Lovely!
