Nice location, friendly staff, good coffee and cake was fine. They allow dogs on the seats though, which is unhygienic and so I won't return.

Went in for lunch and a look at the plants. The cafe was busy but we waited more than 40 minutes for two basic paninis (second choice as no bacon). At least one couple who came in after us were served before us. The person clearing and serving was very pleasant but didn’t wipe the table. Won’t be back to the cafe. Very nice location and a good selection of plants.

Always excellent choice of cakes and drinks at a fair price. Also the plants they have are very reasonable and different from other garden centres. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem. Blink and you miss the entrance as you leave Longniddry heading east to Drem…. but don’t miss it! The nursery is nice with a good selection of plants. The cafe is small inside but with a decent amount of outdoor seating, in the shadow of the ruined castle (it’d be great if one day the castle was renovated). Coffee and a limited menu of toasties on offer. Plenty of parking too. A lovely little place.

Visited for lunch. Really good soup, toastie and cake, plus coffee was very nice. Good spot for a break in the grounds of a derelict castle.

I am a regular at this lovely nursery, where the plants are excellent and the customer service is first class. Unfortunately, this ethos does not extend to the cafe, where the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. When I went to the counter to order, I was told by the young woman serving at the counter that they “had just had a big order” (there were only two other tables occupied, with two persons at one table and four at the other) and I should come back in a little while. I asked if my son and I I could take a seat at a vacant table and they could tell me when they were ready for my order and was told, “No. come back in five minutes”. Very odd and frankly, very rude. We left.

Beautifully set out with very good facilities, a wonderful wee cafe and an intriguing historical ruin to boot. All the staff were excellent.

Had a very nice time here. Wandered amongst the plants and then had coffee on the tranquil terrace. Excellent co-vid precautions and helpful, friendly service. A special shout out to the girl serving in the cafe - still smiling with such dozy customers(us).

We enjoyed some delicious coffee and him baking for a mid-morning break beside an early 17th century Scottish keep. Admittedly you’re between the main Edinburgh to London railway and a main road but if anything it makes the seclusion all the more endearing.

We had a lovely stop for tea and cookies! Very cute and cozy atmosphere in a little tearoom next to the plant nursery. The Redhouse was fun to see, too!

Enjoyed a lovely pot of tea, my friends had a scone which they said was really good. I had a prepacked gluten free biscuit, which was ok, but I had read they do an amazing cake and kind of had that in my thoughts. Was a nice biscuit and as ling as there are options it keeps us gf folk happy. Nice surroundings and staff attentive
