Red Naga in Central Bedfordshire

I've been coming here for a while and not reviewed which is my bad. Staff always helpful and very good at recommending dishes for me based on my previous orders. Food always on point and flavoursome never had a bad meal from here. Would highly recommend 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

The madras was very good, the rogan josh was very bland, quantity of chicken was good

We ordered a takeaway this evening and it was hot & tasty and generous portions too! Ordered through Deliveroo so the delivery was longer than expected but no reflection on the restaurant. I would highly recommend….. Great food !!!!!

I love Indian food and have thoroughly enjoyed the diverse flavors of each dish I've tried until now. Unfortunately, my recent experience with your restaurant was quite disappointing. As a vegetarian ( at time when i ordered), I ordered two different vegetarian mains. To my shock, both curries were exactly the same, with the only difference being the amount of chili in one of them. It felt like an insult to be served what appeared to be a generic sauce with a mix of possibly frozen vegetables like corn, cabbage, and green beans – not what I expected from an Indian restaurant. The naan bread was burnt, and even the parts that weren't burnt were not tasty. The cold salad was warm because it was placed next to a hot dish. The Onion Bhaji was also burnt, and the taste of burnt onion is far from pleasant. Additionally, the cumin and ginger added inside did not complement the dish well. In summary, this restaurant feels like a big cheat. They seem to have no genuine understanding of Indian cuisine.

I didn’t understand what was that! Order 2 veggie dishes that were liquid. It looked like a sauce. Onion baggies dripping oil. All went to bin and end up eating porridge. Worst quality ever.

The order came in good time but was still somehow quite cold. The butter chicken was very coconut heavy and tasted exactly like a Korma, not much flavour to the Bhuna and the lamb tikka was quite grey and not very well marinated

Order was 35 minutes late, which meant our food was completely cold by the time we received it. The delivery driver was apologetic however clearly not her fault, as she explained she was on her own so therefore the restaurant have not employed enough drivers.

Excellent. This was our first order with them and we cannot complain. The food was excellent.

Time and time again, this restaurant delivers some of the best curry I’ve ever had with very few contenders. The chicken naga this place serves is off the chain and blows my head off! Succulent chicken, very hot yet tasty tomato based sauce with lots of naga pickle, garlic and onion. Incredible. Doubt anywhere in Leighton could beat them. I’ve only ordered online, but from the other reviews it looks like an amazing and cozy place to dine in. I look forward to taking my fiancé here! Cheers

Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Massala didnt taste anything like the actual dish. Way too much coconut and incredibly sweet.

First of all, do not make the same mistake as we did, and be deceived by the number of 5 star ratings. Im giving one star only because its not possible to rate 0. All of the food tasted sugary and over saturated with coconut flavours, making it difficult to distinguish between the different curry dishes. Everything tasted so sweet, making it unpleasant to eat. The microwave curries in Tesco taste better than these travesties. I would not recommend this place!

This place has gone down hill the last year, just ordered a meal and was one of the worst currys I've ever had. Food was bland and tasteless and the chicken was dry. So disappointed as when it was chutneys it was really nice.

2nd time we have ordered and it was excellent again! A good variety not just your standard menu

it seems like they have no tandoor and the manager or owner is rude as ####, if you can't provide don't do it. my tandoori prawns never saw a tandoor oven admit it as they are overpriced and you can do better at home. needs a new attitude and indian training in cooking

How this place has a 4.2 rating is beyond me. Red Naga mixed starter. Bland as all heck. I don’t really like spicy food but I’ve had buttered toast with more of a kick than this, only the veg samosa had any discernible flavour. Also came with 3 pots of green ectoplasm / the ooze from Ninja Turtles. Tandoori mixed grill was just a repeat of the starter, chocked full of onion which didn’t create any flavour or excitement either and I had the saddest looking “king” prawn I’ve ever seen. Not even peri peri salt could bring this meal to life. My wife’s Biryani was equally bland. Ended up eating the naan with some humous just to salvage the meal. Bad. Very Very Bad.

Really didn’t enjoy this curry. Was rather bland. Turned up 15 mins early which wasn’t ideal as was putting my little one to bed. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to be honest

Lovely Indian dishes, lots of choice, good value

Food was not cooked properly, curry’s had no sauce in just uncooked meat

They forgot one item but was very quick to bring it to me. Food excellent 👌 and yes I would order from them again. Great service x

Just picked a takeaway up from this place which I had to wait for. Got if home to say it was cold is a understatement. Never again using this place needs closing down.

Great tasty food - good quality. Noticed the courier had trouble finding us, suggest you use a map system where we (the recipient) can place a marker on our location. Seen this on other ordering systems and works very well. Cheers.

It seemed like everything was warmed up in the microwave(including the mixed grill, which didn't even seem grilled) , no flavour and the dishes were just filled with tomato and coconut. Nothing authentic at all. Zero stars if possible

Absolutely delicious. Probably the best takeout food in the area by a mile.

Onion salad contained hardly any onion. Mostly cucumber which I hate and the general quality of the food was not as good as last time we ordered

Food arrived quickly, and was hot but was nowhere near up to usual standards. Bland starters, completely lacking flavour, curries tasted like cheap supermarket ready meals and a keema naan with no keema in it :( Additionally everything was so so greasy, even the rice was swimming in oil/ ghee so it was really stodgy. Very disappointing, perhaps they have a new chef?

Food delivered in the time advised but right to the wire, so food was warm, order missing 2 naan breads, so had to make a call to the restaurant but they delivered supper fast. Food was tasty but vegetable curry for biryani’s was very runny so would put us off ordering this again. Poppadoms lovely but sides were disappointing for the cost. onion baghjis were delicious.

Tasty curries, but papadoms burnt, paid for Mango Chutney but did not receive.

Was really lovely, but sadly I recieved a mushroom rice instead of the Bombay Aloo I ordered.

I will order from Naga again as I did enjoy my most of my order. Unfortunately I had an issue with my mushroom starter the garlic was overcooked/burnt which gave it bitter taste. My Chicken madras wasn’t hot enough for me however, the flavour was nice. The onion bhajis were perfect in fact the best i’ve had in a long time!

Lamb Bhuna - Meat was very tough, under seasoned and strong onion taste. Chicken Dhansak - Was very good.

Staff seemed friendly and it's a nice place, however ... Chicken was dry and looked slightly undercooked, korma lacked flavour, and keema naan was greasy.

Lovely but with just one gripe, ordered chicken tikka dhansak but although the chicken had clearly been cooked on a skewer it was just plain, wouldn't mind if I hadn't paid the extra for tikka. Still the best Indian food in LB though.

Food is excellent,it's the closest you can get to an authentic Indian cuisine out of all the restaurants I visited in UK. The restaurant is well designed and the ambience is very good. Prices are comparatively cheaper too, they will prepare our dish as per our liking. The only issue I found is the portions were a bit smaller when compared to what we get in a takeout and also limited choices of liquor. Otherwise it's excellent,would definitely visit again.

Chicken tikka was just plain chicken, sag bhaji tasted of frozen spinach and nothing else, and they forgot our naan. Overall very disappointing, such a shame.

Real shame, poppadoms stale, onion bhaji’s pasty and cold. Very small amount of red onion. Mushroom rice watery and tasteless. The worst we’ve had and such a shame as normally great, will try elsewhere now. Poor.
