If your hungry do not come here £16 a burger x 3 and the cheapest thing to cook (chips) are non existing absalout rip off

Booked a table for 2 in advance. Asked to wait in bar area - no problem, half an hour later still waiting so went to restaurant desk to ask if a table was ready, told it wasn't. Waited another half an hour and as no one had come to find us or update up we gave up. Was too late to book somewhere else to eat so we came home. An hour's wait and no table when one was pre booked is extremely poor. What is the point in pre booking? Service has really gone down the pan. No apology or update as to when a table would be ready. Won't be returning.

I have one complaint, it is always chilly in there, on 11th march it was freezing ,we were eating there on 11th march with my mum 85yrs and her husband 90yrs as a birthday treat it was so cold, I told the waitress and she its always cold in here. Apart from that the food was excellent, the waitress was lovely.

My husband and I and our son went to the Red Lion in Bispham for our son's birthday breakfast on Sunday 23/02. I must say the breakfast buffet was cooked to perfection. The eggs were soft and runny and NOT hard and dried up like most buffet breakfast places. The black pudding was perfect. Infact everything was nice and tasty. We also enjoyed the toast, fruit juice and coffee. My son enjoyed the Nutella on toast after he'd eaten his cooked breakfast. Oh, and his weetabix. 😊 I spoke to the young woman who was doing all the cooking at the time, she gave me the Nutella and I told her that the food was lovely, her name was Chantelle and such a polite young woman. There were team members running around everywhere clearing tables and seeing to customers as it was very busy. The pub was clean and it was a nice atmosphere with plenty of parking. We will definitely be back. Thank you! 😊

Totally ruined what could have been a lovely lunch out with my ex-work colleagues. My meal was just awful. The salmon was just too dry, as though it had been cooked earlier in the day and had been kept warm until needed, which is fairly hard to believe as we were sat down near noon and the place had only just opened up for the day. I'm 'sorry BUT I won't be returning any time soon AND I certainly WON'T be recommending it to my friends and family On a brighter note, the waitress who served us was VERY VERY pleasant and kind to us ALL, she was clean & tidily dressed in BOTH clean AND suiting the jobs that were required for her to be able to complete as part of the job role. I HAVE NO complaints about her in the slightest. SHE IS AN ASSET TO THE RED LION BUT I don't think that it's going to have her on the payroll for very long IF it doesn't improve soon as she's too good to be in a place like this, she's worth MORE THAN THAT I hope that she will get a good job somewhere that is better than The RED LION in the Bispham area of Blackpool and where she is going to be appreciated for the hard work that she's capable of

Visit regularly food good value friendly bar staff but sometimes have to wait for service due to limited bar staff during the day.

Had a great meal after getting a voucher through the post. Gemma looked after us brilliantly and was so friendly. Thanks very much Gemma

Enjoyed an excellent Surf 'n Turf everything cooked to perfection, service was friendly and food served promptly. Would have liked to have swapped the sirloin out for ribeye which was apparently not possible to do but otherwise a great eatery.

Just arrived home from a visit to The Red Lion in Bispham Blackpool. Myself and two work colleagues. We were greeted warmly by a lovely lady and served by an attentive young man. We were asked about any allergies, offered drinks while we decided what we wanted to eat and our order was taken when we were ready. The food was lovely and great value. Thank you Red Lion team…you were FAB! We’ll be back!

Alway a welcome smile from staff particularly from Molly. Food is lovely and plenty of variety 😋 We love a family breakfast here.

After not visiting for a while we thought it would be a good place to take family and friends in between Christmas and New Year. We was a big group and the food was nice enough although took a long time to come out, but the waitress did seem to struggle to cope and all of our bills were incorrect. Not the best and not the worst visit for dinner in the area depends on personal expectations but don't think woukd visit again.

We had a great meal at the red lion. The food was great and service fast. Special shout out to Steph who looked after us during our visit. She really made the experience great for us!

Poorly cooked chips, in what tasted like old oils .Meat was very tough. The only thing that I would recommend is the chicken wings. They were terrific. Overall, it is not recommendable or value for money.

Food was good. Bacon was a bit pointless. And they were slow at bringing eggs out. Rest of the food was lovely though, Great selection of different types of breakfast, pan au Chocolat, croissants, cereal, toast, crumpets, Nutella, jam, butter, marmalade to put on top of them all too. As well as your usual hot breakfast food, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, bacon etc

Just had a brilliant meal at The Red Lion, the food was spot on & gemma who looked after us was top notch.

Had a brilliant experience tonight at the Red Lion celebrating my birthday. We've been here a few times before and always been excellent. Staff are lovely and look after you well, even gave me a present for my birthday which was very unexpected and incredibly kind. Food is always brilliant and got to use a 40% coupon. Family had a great evening, cant wait for us to return again. Highly recommend going here.

An amazing Beefeater with incredible staff, thanks so much for everything! Staff made sure we had the same table at breakfast and dinner, this made things much easier for my wife who uses a wheelchair.

My local but subdued lighting could be a problem for those (like me) with eyesight issues - I always ask for a well lit table.

Went here last night (15/11/24) with my wife and son. Our order got overlooked and we found ourselves with an unexpectedly long wait. When we brought this matter to the attention of our very busy waiter he apologised profusely, comped one of our meals and organised a free round of drinks for us all. I'll be honest and admit I was a little miffed about getting overlooked but the truth is, we all screw up occasionally and the staff at the Red Lion addressed this in a very professional manner. I'd be happy to return to this place for the fine food and the high standard of service.

Took my wife there tonight for our anniversary have to say excellent food and excellent service can't recommend enough

Food is really amazing in this place and the atmosphere really pleasent, was quite when we first got there, early tea time and then it soon got quite busy and they was a good buzz to it, the staff are very busy, but still very attentive. Prices are resonable and with the reward card you can get vouchers and bits off. I really enjoy it here and good to relax in the restaurant. There is a big bar area to with plenty of selection, this also has a good atmosphere for family seating and a pool table.

Busy place, food was lovely, i had the lamb roast and my friend had the half roast chicken. Desserts were good and not too badly price.

Hard things this one. We had been once b4 about 10 months ago! And we are not far from here. Quick as I can now by my husband and myself. We entered. It was deadly quiet. Waiting for 7 mins? We both went to the loo. Then, I went back to the stand. Still nothing, so we went and got our own table. Then, I was told you to put your reg in? I mean, just like that??? By an older lady, we ordered and had to ask where our drinks were when the starters arrived. But no, drinks still Mmm, not going so far great. After working in custer service and running my own pubs.... but the food was totally amazing and mouthwatering. So hopefully this helps? We left a tip and I said this is for the chefs only. So ??? Urmmm.

We had a delicious dinner in the red lion beefeater. Absolutely spot on. Our waitress Sophie was an absolute delight. Very bubbly and smiley, made our experience go from A to A*** she came to check on us and greeted us and everyone else with a smile, everytime! and just the right amount of small talk. We would throughly recommend!!! The lady that seated us was also extremely delightful and full of smiles, I didn’t catch her name though. One last thing, I really recommend the cheese fries 👌🏻

Great breakfast. If you're staying in the premier inn, the fried eggs were done to perfection. The yolk was exactly how a fried egg should be .

Was constantly harassed as we were eating to order our hot food. We turned the waitress away twice on both days we ate there. The food was overcooked eggs were dry and full of egg shell( scrambled). It's not a all you can eat neither. It's a pre order on all hot food. The evening meal was great the waitress didn't harass you at all you where left to eat at your own leisure.

Stayed at Premier inn next door ( room 17 )and had breakfast next morning. ( 16th sept 24 ) The young lady that served us with breakfast was fabulous, polite, pleassant, helpful and mannerdly. What more could you wish for. Thank you we will be back. xx

Great food ,but rather expensive for what it is. Staff first class. Restaurant could do wit ha refurb.

Food is not bad, quite expensive for what you get, mix grill is £18.. small chicken and steak....£2 for a small peppercorn sauce is abit ridiculous but was nice. Guinness is very nice too. 3.5 out of 5.

Absolutely beautiful food cooked to perfection especially the steaks. My son ate the stacked burger every night he loved it and very filling. The staff are very friendly attentive nothing is too much trouble. We were served by numerous staff throughout our stay and all were fabulous especially Callum he made our son (who has disabilities) stay brilliant.

Staff friendly. Food was average. The building feels run down and dirty. Needs new carpets and walls need cleaning

We are regular visitors and service is always good. Paul in particular goes out of his way to accommodate various needs within our group. This is greatly appreciated. We visited last night and the food was not to the normal high standard due to being very busy. We mentioned it and were offered fresh meals, when this was politely declined replacement chicken and chips, which were not very hot on the original plates, were brought to the table.

Can’t even speak to a human being when you call. It’s an automated line, not great when you are trying to arrange something for someone who is already there. When you finally get it to put you through to a member of staff, they just don’t answer.

Steph was very helpful and offered a braille menu not many places have offered this service.

We visited on a Saturday evening when staying in Blackpool. It’s a very grand building which is lovely and clean. The staff are all amazing. All had smiles and were very attentive without being intrusive. Food was good, would have been expensive without using a voucher code I’d been sent and it didn’t look much on the plate but we were both too full for dessert after. Will definitely return if in the area.

Food was OK but that's all, steak was a poor cut 😞 didn't expect amazing for a chain with thier pricing but have been to other beefeaters and was much nicer. £3.50 for a side of chips and I got about 3 actual chips and a small amount of scrag end chips.. staff were nice enough but not very knowledgeable about what was actually in the food. Atmosphere is probably better at busy times but we went late so was very quiet. Could be a little cleaner.

I love this place. Is relatively quiet, I have a tone of dietary restrictions and they offer a GF menu that has several options I was able to have!! Only restaurant in town that offers good food, good price… AND OPTIONS I CAN HAVE WITHOUT WORRYING FOR CROSS CONTAMINATION!! The service is excellent, will definitely keep on visiting ☺️👌🏻

Only a Father's Day menu. Not a lot of choice. So I had Lamb. Would have liked a Salad....sorry not on the menu! So, Lamb it was.(Never had tough Lamb before). The veg that came with it was rubbish,(frozen junk warmed up), informed the waitress, she replaced it with exactly the same rubbish. Not only I had the Lamb my daughter had the same and just left hers! I only can say The Red Lion is certainly not as good as it used to be.Not recommend.

Booked in for a breakfast I am Gluten free had separate menu and discussed my options with lovely member of staff. My food was cooked separately and served to me. Other members of my group had chance to go and pick there own. Plenty of options as with the traditional breakfast you also have access to the continental breakfast which includes yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, fruit juices and coffee/tea which I took advantage of. I couldn’t sample the pancakes, croissants etc but there was gluten free toast available with my cooked breakfast. Bonus kids eat free. Was very impressed with choices on offer and the friendly service from the staff

Food today was shocking. First time eating here and will be the last. I no now why it was so quiet.

First you must put in your car registration number at reception you are then taken to a table someone will come and take your order 10 minutes later your meals all come good portions nice and hot. And tasty staff very nice

No Longer a pub there is never anyone behind the bar when u walk in always have to stand there on the strength some might appear our see u and the prices they charge the bar should always be attended nothing worse after a hard day's work as a trades man stood around waiting my pet hate. Always happens as well.

A good venue for families. No longer a pub in the traditional sense (hence the lower mark for atmosphere), but the food is good. We booked a specific table, however we were told it wasn't available when we arrived. On a positive note they did a free round of drinks for us. Sadly the buffet breakfast isn't available on a Saturday or a Sunday.

Had a family meal at the red lion, we have been here a few times before, the food is good quality however there is always a long wait (no matter how many people attend) no food had to be sent back and everyone was full and satisfied. waitress Steph looked after us and ensured everyone was happy and there were no problems. Would definitely recommend for birthday meals, or if your looking for a nice meal

All hot breakfast was stone cold and 9.30am. when asked for a refund was met with I presume the bar manager/manage blonde hair who had attitude and was very snotty and didn't want to hear the rest of our complaint and tried walking off going right bye . Would never return here again and I don't recommend at all to anyone else. Ohh I may add this was our first time at this place as well. Shocking

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday on 20/04/24. There were 10 of us, and I have to say that, (apart from the disappointment that the table we had specifically booked was already occupied), the staff were amazing, the food was wonderful and everyone had a great time. Thank you, again to all who made our night so special.

Had an evening meal here, staff were friendly and service quick. Starters and desserts very nice but mains were poor quality for the price. I had a double burger which were very dry my partner’s chicken and ribs were also dry. Corn on the cob was cold and coleslaw was very vinegary. The buffet breakfast the first morning was lovely but the second morning was a different story a horror story to be exact. We arrived a little earlier as we needed to start our journey back. We were told there was no buffet due to the time and minimal customers. Our order was taken at the table. But unlike a buffet you cannot pick the pieces of food you like the look of. We both ordered two fried eggs one for each was over cooked, no yolks. The mushrooms and beans were cold. Hash browns burnt and the bacon over cooked (not in the crispy sense). There were no teapots available like the day before so couldn’t have a pot of tea. I asked for another egg but gave up trying to eat the breakfast as it was so unpleasant. Ended up with toast and after I ate that still no egg. To rub salt in the wounds as we were leaving they opened up the buffet breakfast. Again poor quality for the price and we felt the staff that morning really didn’t care. We won’t be using a beefeater again any time soon.
