Old fashioned side street boozer. Yank tourist moaning about woke agendas a little irritating.

It was dead of night and the staff were just as attentive and polite as it were much earlier. A nice simple down to earth little place for an awesome quiet drink or for a gathering with friends, with a lot of history and old school interior. Highly reccommend, this place will restore hope that common manners still exist in London.

Typical English pub, but very narrow and small. Beer prices are rather high, over 8 pounds per pint of beer.

A glorious crystal box of decorative Victorian pub. This old world wealth neighbourhood pub is a feast for the eyes. Every wall is panelled in beautifully decorative cut glass set into carved decorated wood, leading into archways, partitions & a superb, original cloud central bar. This local pub has London street drinking before a stunning, decortively cut glass door into an unassuming, proper London public house. There's a single piece deep patterned ceiling to tap decorative panel coving over perimeter perching for a friendly, calm group of local friends & residents. This is a cut diamond of beautiful vintage pub heritage.

Pub is in St James not Mayfair.

Bad, I went in and was surprised that the cashier was harassing me in an unclear way. I will not repeat the experience again.

Nipped in for a quick drink after work. Feels more spit and sawdust than trendy, which is absolutely fine for what it is. Patrons mostly spilled out the front as it was a lovely evening. Wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine - was very reasonably priced for the area. Stairs to the toilets are narrow and cramped, and the inside overall felt somewhat confined, but I guess in winter it would feel cozy! Good crowd and atmosphere. Nice place for a drink, and easy on the pocket if you're a regular!

Not far from Buckingam, at lunchtime the pub was quiet. Reasonable price compared to other pubs.

Liked here a lot. Kinda tucked away. Have been past many times but never visited. Finally had the moment to cross the threshold. Very glad I did.

A hidden historic gem in central London it's very busy and full of suits most of the year but if you get in you will want to stay and soak up that unique London pub atmosphere enjoy a pint of London pride cheers Simon

Wednesday 17.30. No Pride. Wow. Prices have increased. Service appallingly slow. Closed back half of bar. Staff have mastered the art of not looking at the customers. Many grumpy customers

Time-honored pub, service not attentive. Staff preferred to use their cell phones rather than clear up the leftovers from previous customers.

Hidden gem from 1820s, with great beer in a lovely, old building. Tiny, and fills up fast though.

A lovely little pub, be prepared to stand - possibly outside as there isn't much room. Situated on the corner of historic Jermyn St, it has plenty of character (and characters!). Good selection of beer on tap.

Very unpleasant pub with rude and unhelpful staff. The stated opening hours are false. They claim to be open until 10pm, but I arrived there to join some friends on 04/03/24 and they just said the bar was closed at 9.30pm and refused any service. Their opening hours should state that they close at 9.30pm. The real issue is that the staff hate their jobs and don’t want to be there. They just want to get rid of everyone quickly so they can go home. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Avoid this pub. Instead try the much nicer Chequers Bar, Three Crowns Pub or St James Bar - all within a 2 minute walk and much nicer than the Red Lion (or should I say the ‘Red Lying’)

Decent pint and barman was fantastic. Build up of uric acid on urinals a bit off-putting though.

Hadn't been here for ages, as not my usual part of town, but will make sure that doesn't happen again. Beer was tip top. I had HSB and Hophead and my friend had the London Pride. The pub was pleasantly busy but service was quick. They take cash too as well as card which seems to becoming rarer.

Real gem of an old pub in the heart of London

Nice looking place but all the ales and the Guinness were off, the toilets were in a state, they stopped serving at 9 (even though the pub was busy) and were annoyingly pushy when asking us to leave, immediately after the bar had closed. Bad vibe.

Lovely traditional pub in the heart of london.

I was desperately looking for a pub for a drink and possibly some food in this area during the 2023 Pride parade, in central London today. Once inside, it's a very small pub but the staff were working hard to serve everybody and I had a delicious pint of London Pride and some snacks - and was made welcome by some other people at a table. Good place to find!

Charming British pub which, thankfully, has not gone the route of a lot of pubs by introducing huge menus and gimmicky drinks.

This pub was bustling when we visited. They have an excellent selection of casked beer, as well as other draft beers. The pub is very lovely inside.

The food and service are AMAZING !

Severely disappointed in the customer service by this venue. We made a booking of their private room over a month ago. This was reconfirmed the day prior and today we have turned up and it has been turned away! The confirmation email provided to us was our correct booking time but this has been entered incorrectly on their side through no fault of our own, we have now lost this booking without even being contacted prior to giving it away. We have 40+ attendees now to turn away who were meant to be celebrating and disappointed. Wouldn’t pop in here for a poo even if I was busting.

Full and pretty expensive but the beer was good and the staff efficient.

Fantastic small pub in Mayfair. Fabulous mirrored interior and moulded plaster ceiling. Good range of cask ales. Well worth a visit. Lady behind the bar was really friendly and absolutely worked her socks off, along with her colleague. Really impressed. Apparently food is only served until 3pm. Recommended.

Great spot with a good selection of pints. The Guinness and Pride were great. It has a cosy back bar that’s nice to stand in.

Decent little pubbette. Fills after work hours with shirt and tie guys but doesn't feel rammed like other similar places.

Service was friendly but my beer wasn't cold enough and wasn't served all that well.
