Red Brick Cafe in Staffordshire Moorlands

Tucked away and unassuming, but go inside and it’s immaculate and the staff are just so wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome. The bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie came with a salad garnish and a pot of coleslaw and was absolutely beautiful. Treat yourself. The cakes looked beautiful.

Absolutely lovely staff and the food was fantastic, perfect stop after 3 hours from Exeter. Kids had a lovely time, and we all cleared our plates. Even left with a cream tea for the night.

Best breakfast for miles around. We all had different, but all equally good. Very friendly place. Also had lunch here which was also good. Great cakes.

I ordered cake platters for my mum’s funeral. My mum always said that a meal is not worthy to be called a meal without cake! The Red Brick did not disappoint! I ordered different cakes include brownies, Rocky Road, carrot cake, lemon drizzle and mini Victoria sponges. They were all delicious and enjoyed by all! Beautifully presented and superb service. I visit the cafe on a regular basis and the standards are phenomenal! The cakes are mouth watering and the food is outstanding. Just watching the team prepare their customers orders is a joy! They take such care and pride in the presentation and delivery, of every order, it is a lesson for all other cafes to take on board. Fantastic service, where nothing is ever too much trouble. Just love, love, love coming here for a midday work break or a treat. Exceptionally good value for money!

Always lovely service, we need to remind ourselves to visit more often! Unusually open on a Sunday morning which is really great for a lazy brekkie. Highly recommend!

We visited this morning as we wanted somewhere independent to have breakfast. Wow, the staff, the interior and the gorgeous food exceeded every expectation. Nothing was too much trouble and it has made our Saturday start on a brighter note.

Three of us visited for a late breakfast. I had scrambled egg and toast, my sister-in-law had a cooked breakfast and hubby a sausage and bacon bap. All was beautifully fresh and tasty. Sausages were exceptional and my scrambled egg was divine. Lovely coffee and home made cake as well. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! Don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed!

Frequent Red Brick often. Always great food and service. Had afternoon tea boxed to take to our holiday in Wales last week which was superb. Thanks to all at Red Brick.

We searched for an independent cafe which could offer a late lunch and couldn’t have found anything better. A busy, small establishment with excellent home made foods. The couple running the cafe appeared to know the majority that ventured through the door. Not being a local they made us very welcome, we were even included in conversation amongst others enjoying the cafe.

We had breakfast here today and it was so good. Produce was high quality and beautifully cooked. Family owned and staff were very friendly. Highly recommended

What can I say, it was my 1st visit to the Red Brick but it won’t be my last! The owners & staff were very busy sorting takeaways but were very attentive & friendly & the cafe gave a lovely/warm atmosphere. The Valentine’s Afternoon Tea was exceptional, beautifully presented, everything wrapped individually, fresh & absolutely delicious & made mine & my husbands day special in these strange time. I can’t wait until I can actually sit in & try more from the menu.

Coffee was excellent, teacake was large, hot and scrummy. It's a very welcoming place and it won't be my last visit.

We were sent here to have a ‘retirement’ breakfast for my husband from my son. 2 English breakfasts, coffee and tea, the food was freshly cooked, well presented, not a sign of a drop of grease on the plate, lovely fresh toast with decent butter. Staff were very helpful and polite. We will be back to sample the cakes, that Guinness cake looked amazing.

A really great place! We both had soup and a pot of tea during the break between Christmas and new year. Beautiful food, cosy atmosphere and excellent service. A great spot, highly recommend.

Another very pleasant visit to the Red Brick Cafe. We started with some traditional toasted sandwiches and a good cup of tea. Then we left for a nearby appointment, and the friendly owner was happy for us to leave a tab running as we said we would be back for cake later. Very trusting! We duly returned and bought some cake to take away and enjoy later. Highly recommended for tea and snacks.

Lovely little cafe tucked away in Blythe Bridge, owners & staff really friendly, coffee & the homemade cakes are to die for, well worth a visit, cyclist and runners welcome, unfortunately dogs not allowed inside however outside seating is available

We called in last week for the first and really enjoyed it. We both had a toasted sandwich which was yummy and followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake. We will certainly go back again for coffee and a cake.

My son and I stopped off for late lunch at Red Brick recommended to us by a friend. Home made soup and toasted sandwiches were lovely and the chocolate brownies that followed where to die for! Great service and value for money - highly recommended! Thanks Red Brick Cafe - we will be back (esp. as my 10 year old wants to try the whole cake menu)!

We have been enjoying food at The Red Brick Cafe for a few years now and it has never disappointed. It is now under new management and nothing has changed!

This cafe has recently changed hands, but I’m happy to report that the new management offer the same friendly service, and very tasty snacks, hot drinks and home baked cakes. Situated in the middle of Blythe Bridge, it’s easily reached from the A50. The new owner is a keen cyclist and says he would be happy to serve visiting cyclists.

We went here for breakfast and enjoyed it so much, we went back. Great coffee, great food and friendly staff

Great little quirky cafe in the heart of Blythe Bridge. Lovely food, with a range of choices as well as beautiful cakes. The staff were welcoming and very helpful! Free parking on the Co-op as well was a bonus! will defiantly be returning.

Another beautiful sandwich, with cous cous that literally melted in the mouth! Was fortunate enough to learn the secret ingredients and recipe, so that’s going home with me!

Always a warm welcome. We had the poached eggs on toast with drinks. Simple but tasty. We had a lot to catch up and we were not rushed to leave. Would recommend and will return.

The food and coffee is fantastic made with good quality ingredients. No processed food here. The service is very friendly and genuine. Great place!!

Called in for lunch today and although the cafe was extremely busy Joe quickly found us a spare chair and menus. Good, honest food is what you get here. Tasty, traditional bread, generously filled with locally sourced produce. I had roast ham and cheddar with piccalilli. It came with homemade coleslaw and mixed leaves subtly dressed with a light vinaigrette. It was delicious. My latte was also expertly executed with a really smooth micro foam and an impressive latte-art heart. Just the look of the homemade cakes meant we had to indulge and 3 portions of white chocolate maple cake were then ordered with another latte to wash it down.

We visited Red Brick Cafe for the first time today. Both had the full English breakfast which was delicious. The owners were so polite and courteous and the cafe was decorated well and very clean.

Small, freindly and some of the best food ive tasted. Very accomodating, relaxed atmosphere and delicious meals or just a cofffee and a read of the paper! Love it!

Myself and adult son breakfasted at the cafe. We had a full english. Good food at slightly higher price than one of those all you can eat breakfast eateries but the quality is higher making it value for money.

From the outside, Red Brick Café doesn't look anything special but on entering found it to be a quaint little place serving culinary delights. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the café is small but clean and welcoming. The menu is breakfast and light bites/lunch, a good selection is offered. I had a goats cheese with roasted red pepper toasted sandwich and a slice of home made cakes. Will definitely pop in again.

Have been to the Red Brick several times whilst out cycling. It's a perfect stop. Quality food at reasonable prices and a really nice ambience. Totally unpretentious and tucked away in a little street off the main road it is a credit to the young couple who run it.

A colleague brought some delicious cakes into work. Not sure what to expect but I was absolutely amazed how delicious they were. It was moist and light! I will definitely pay a visit to this lovely place very soon. (Thank you Stuart Hannah!)

Hadn't realised how long it had been since we were last here and it's only a short walk from where we live! As usual though, such a friendly welcome and how do they do it - remember who we are!? We both had the soup and sandwich option - tasty soup, as always; we have never been disappointed when coming to the Red Brick Café and we think we are very lucky to have this 'little gem' just 'on our doorstep'.

Came here with friends for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised. The toasties were delicious, and the coffee was fantastic. Very reasonably well priced too. We will definitely be returning

We live in Blythe Bridge and pass The Red Brick Cafe regularly so we thought we'd pop in for coffee and cake. We were not disappointed by any means. The latte was creamy, lovely cuppa even had a heart on the cream ( I'm sad I love little touches like this) I had chocolate and blackcurrant cake which was delicious ( homemade of course). My husband had ham (proper ham) on seeded bread with Piccailly (I think that's how you spell it whatever it was it was blooming good) it came with a side salad too, very nice. Mum had carrot cake that was yummy. The surroundings were vintage style which I love. I could a see the kitchen from where I was sitting which is spotless. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, my Dad said thankyou to the staff and they said no thankyou he was really chuffed with that. As I said first time visit won't be the last. Only downside for us is it isn't open on a Sunday (purely selfish reasons Only!!!!!)

Went here after a business meeting, very comfortable and really good service. My boss has been here regularly and says it is one of the best places to eat (he lives in Stoke). Really impressed and would go again next time I'm in the area.

Our first visit to this little gem of a place - catching up with family ahead of Christmas. The place was very busy - which is always a good sign. We had a very late breakfast - traditional English which was delicious - I particularly liked the fried cherry tomatoes which were super-sweet. There is always a home made seasonal soup and Home made cakes on offer.

We visited here this week all had bite to eat and drink always top class food local bacon bread etc .The couple that run it are so friendly the atmosphere nice it is a little gem .It gets quite full some days very popular .Good luck

Took mum in here this afternoon and we had lovely homemade soup, tomato and basil, with some soft brown bread and butter. Very nice. The café is nicely tucked away from the main road and is a real refuge from the outside world. A warm welcome, hot soup, plus tasty cakes that are lovingly made. A great lunch break !

Called in at our regular favourite cafe yesterday. As always great homemade food, from soup to bacon baps and cakes to die for. It has to be the nicest coffee you will drink served by two of the loveliest people you will meet - Joe and Anna.

I only went in for a cuppa but was tempted by the wonderful Chocolate Guinness Cake. Unbelievably fabulous!

Red Brick Cafe is a breath of fresh air. Ran by a lovely couple who always great you with a warm welcome. The coffee is wonderful as is the food and the atmosphere cosy and a real home from home. A truly great place and if you haven't been yet you are missing out.

Stopped here to make a small detour off the A50 passing Stoke on Trent. We were greeted warmly by Anna and Joe. This Cafe is perfect in every way. The wide variety on the menu offered is almost entirely home made. We enjoyed the most amazing Guinness Cake, Tea and Coffee beautifully served. Nothing was too much trouble and we will be calling again soon. Highly recommended.

I grew up in Blythe Bridge but live in Kent now. Took my partner to show him around and stumbled on this place. Cute little cafe serving the best lemon drizzle cake we've ever had and a great cuppa too. Service was friendly and helpful. Can you relocate to Sevenoaks please?

Enjoyed a great sausage bap here. You could tell the sausages were of great quality as they were not greasy and they were full of flavour. Bought a brownie to take away and it was one of the best I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere and the owners seem very friendly. Will definitely be coming again.

This Cafe is a real must when visiting or passing through Blythe Bridge. Anna and Joe are the two lovely owners and brains behind Red Brick and have got a growing number of dedicated customers who pop in weekly to sample Joe's great Coffee and Anna's brilliant food. Breakfast or Lunch you can't go wrong and once visited you will definitely return.

I went here for lunch with my sister who is a local so was warmly greeted by the owners/staff. It was a freezing cold summer day and the cafe was warm and welcoming . The toasties were delicious. A lovely spot with very friendly staff

Good food although expensive for a cafe. Perhaps lower prices would encourage more people especially those who work in the local area.

Called in for drinks only. First rate quality and more competitively priced than the local competition. The staff were very polite efficient and attentive, the food looked good too, so we'll try that next time.

My family and I visit the Red Brick regularly. The food is fresh and delicious - the lemon drizzle cake and brownie are mouth watering!! The owners - Joe and Anna - are very welcoming and helpful. They recently catered for our 120 christening guests, receiving lots of complementary comments.

This boutique style café is just a perfect place to meet up with friends for coffee . Good flavour coffee and the Victoria sponge melts in your mouth

I visited here with my friend one Saturday afternoon for a catch up and a bite to eat having heard positive reviews- and I thought it was fabulous.

Super little eatery . All home made food . Home made soup was amazing pea and ham ! Huge portion ! Crusty fresh bread delivered every day . Guinness cake is absolulty perfect with lots of topping on ! Recently found out they can make to order whole cakes . A number of people came for take outs thou is more a seated cafe . Gets very busy ! Absolute gem of a place !

A brilliant stop on the way to the Theatre in Stoke. A warm welcome. Home made soup, sandwiches, delicious mouthwatering cakes followed by lovely coffee. Nothing was too much trouble if a variation was requested.

Visited The Red Brick for the first time yesterday, and I will definitely return regularly! Met two friends there for a coffee, and was really taken with the cosy, comfortable atmosphere. We were given a friendly greeting by Joe when we came in, ordered our drinks...the coffee was perfect! My friends and I ordered bacon and egg sandwiches, which were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. I had a glance of the lunch menu, which looked equally as outstanding...simple fresh sandwiches and soups, perfect when you just want something filling and tasty without overdoing it! Prices were very reasonable, as well! Although I didn't have my children with me this time, it was clearly very child friendly, and all items on the menu can be tailored for young children. My friends and I are planning to meet there again next week for lunch...I can definitely see us spending lots of time there in the future!

Found this cafe via Facebook took my 5 year old after school as a little treat before collecting her brother from nursery.

This is a little gem, a great spot for a a snack lunch or tea. The owners are always friendly and provide a warm welcome. We particularly enjoy the home made soup and freshly made sandwiches. The coffee is nice, not too strong, and even a newspaper was provided today. If we have one criticism, it's the teabag in a mug when you order tea. A teapot would be much more presentable. We realise there may not be much space on some tables, but there are small teapots! We look forward very much to our next visit.

Visited here today for a friendly chat and had a lovely surprise very busy nearly all tables full. First time for me we ordered drinks then had cakes I had the Guinness cake delicious very moist to die for .The couple than run it very friendly will be visiting again

We called here for a coffee when we had walked into the village and thought we would give it a try. We were surprised to see it was almost full! We soon realised why. It is a clean, friendly place with a nice choice of proper good food. We decided we will go again with friends to meet up and have lunch. It is just what the village needs. The owners seem very keen to please. We will be going regularly from now on.

I just spotted this cafe when I was visiting the chiropodist next door and thought I would pop in for a bacon buttie for lunch.

I had been meaning to visit Red Brick Cafe for ages after seeing all of their delicious looking food on Facebook/Instagram posts. Being a foodie it was somewhere that I had to visit. We called in late one afternoon after the normal lunchtime service had presumably finished. Anna politely told us that they had ran out of bread for sandwiches as they had been so busy, but could offer us the soup or coffee/cake.

Anna and Joe, the owners, have done a brilliant job at renovating an old kitchen showroom and turning it into a cafe with tasty food, great coffee and wonderful homemade cakes! We can't wait to go back soon!

Joe and Anna did the buffet for my birthday party at The Roebuck Forsbrook and I have to say that the food was absolutely fabulous. Much better than the usual pork pie, sausage rolls and boring sandwiches which are usually provided for these events. Top quality ingredients, freshly prepared and presented so well. The cakes were lovely and baked the same day. All the guests were impressed and I would recommend anyone who is considering outside caterers for a party to consider contacting The Red Brick Cafe

I have been in here three times for breakfast now and every time has been great. I always have the scrambled eggs on granary toast with a mug of green tea. The scrambled eggs are just how I like them every time. Great value for money. I am yet to try their cakes and lunch selection. Cakes on display always look tempting and they do takeaways too. Friendly service and Joe & Anna always have a chat with us when we come in. Would highly recommend.

We've ate here several times now and every time has been excellent. The breakfast is delicious, especially the eggs. Sandwiches and homemade soups are faultless. Everything is locally sourced and couple who own this are lovely. Very lucky to have this so near.

Best cafe I have ever been to. Food is original and onset fully cooked. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon I would crawl naked over broken glass for. Anna and Joe cannot do enough for you.
